Chapter 14

Swords of Wisdom

Fourteenth

Elsa

🔯

During the time when Queen Idan was still alive, everything seemed to be alright for King Edgar; but now, everything was falling out of place. He haven't left the palace for over 10
years now. His main priority were his children. Watching his children grow made him feel better. The children had grew up without a mother and had gotten used to it. But there was Elsa, who missed her mother dearly. During two years after Queen Idan's death, she had isolated herself in her bedroom, away from everyone. But she learned to move on and be more open to her family, with the help from everyone including her two cousins.

Just looking out at the town and the view in front of him, everything looked to be pretty normal to King Edgar.
Edgar brought the cup up to his lips and drank the water. He looked down at the paper in his hands. It was an invitation from his sister, Queen Glendale Corona in Chimea. It's been a long time since he last saw her.
He wondered if he should go? Maybe he should. Only for three weeks.

He called for Toothina, the nanny. She came in the room and asked what he needed.

"Can you tell Elsa I need her here?" Edger asked. "Is she with her sisters?"

Toothina shook her head. "No sir! Princess Elsa hasn't come out of her bedroom yet, and the princess just went down to the lake.''

"Okay, can you please tell her?"

"Yes sir!" After bowing, she went out the room and went to get Elsa.

Down the lake behind the palace were Anna and Anine.

They both had grown and were now seventeen. Anna was swimming in the lake while Anine was sitting down while watching her. She hadn't stepped foot on the lake or any other river ever since she was 4. She still got chills remembering what had happened.

"Anine, are you sure you don't want to join me?" Asked Anna, floating on the water.

"I told you I'm not coming," said Anine, stubbornly.

Anna let out a dramatic sigh. "How ironic, my sister can water bend but she's afraid of the water."

"Am not!"

"You are!"

"You know what, I don't feel like swimming so leave me alone," Anine scold.

"Gee okay," said Anna. She got out of the water and stood in front of Anine. "Can you?" She asked, opening her arms.

Anine stood up and brought her hands forward and bended the waters out of Anna's clothes and dried her up.

"Thank you," said Anna, smiling. "Have I ever mentioned how cool it is that you're a Retava?"

"Only about a hundred times," said Anine while laughing. She turned and walked up the hill to the palace. Anna followed behind her.

"Did you plan anything today?" wondered Anna, enthusiastically.

"Well Mrs Katerina is not here so we're free for today," said Anine, with a raised eyebrow. "Why do you ask?"

Anna beamed. "Let's go out!"

"Out of the palace? No way! Dad won't let us!"

"He doesn't have to know!"

"Please don't tell me you're gonna sneak out."

"We're gonna sneak out."

"Anna, I don't want to get in trouble because of you!"

"We'll only be gone for an hour, they'll think we're down at the lake."

"But-"

"Come on, we never went out of the palace since a month ago so..." Anna stopped and looked at Anine who was deep in thought.

Anine looked up at Anna and let out a sigh. "Fine but this is all on you!"

"Yes!" Anna jumped in excitement.

"Princess!" Toothina knocked on the door whiling calling. She called three more times but there was no answer.

She let out a sigh and pushed opened the door. She came in the big white and blue room in search of the princess, but there seemed to be no sign of her. The room was neat and looked like it was just been cleaned. She came over to the bed and saw that it was already made.

Toothina went over to the opened window and looked out.

She went out again, thought Toothina with an annoyed look. She shot a glance at the table that was filled with papers and books. Poor girl, she must have been tired sitting and writing all day.

"Toothina?"

Toothina looked at the opened door where Claire, Elsa's maid, walked in. "If you're looking for Elsa, she's not here."

"Do you know where she is?"

Claire shook her head. "No! When I came to serve her breakfast she wasn't here."

"Hmm okay, thank you." Toothina walked passed her and stopped at the doorway. "If she comes back, please tell her, her father wants to see her."

Down at the busy town, Anna and Anine made their way down to the market.

"Wow look at all this," said Anine, looking over at all different types of fruits and vegetables. "I only see them cooked and served on the plate but not like this."

Anna wasn't paying attention to what she was saying. She was focusing on the clothes shop just some metres down the market. She grabbed Anine's hand and pulled her with her.

"That's the shop I've been telling you about," she said while dragging her confused sister with her.

Once they made it, Anna let go of her. She made sure her hood is up before she went in. The shop was big and fill with beautiful clothes just like how Anna remembered it.

There were different sections so Anna decided to go to the dresses. She started rummaging through the dresses.

Anine, who was standing behind her with an amused look decided to ask, "Huh, Anna? Why do you want to look for dresses when you got hundreds of them filled in you wardrobe?"

"There so big and tight," answered Anna. "I sometimes don't fill comfortable in them."

"I disagree," said Anine, shaking her head. "The dresses are so cute."

Anna shot her a glance. "Then we got different taste in clothes, sister."

"Oh I'm glad we do!"

"Hey!" Exclaimed Anna, clearly offended.

"What? I'm sorry, but I just had to say it."

Anna scoffed and turned around. While she was continuing picking out some dresses, Anine turned around to scan the place. Well it was the first time she's been into this shop so it wouldn't hurt to just look around.

After 12 minutes, she glanced to her side and noticed two men, dressed in swords man clothes, carry a small bag. They both seemed to be discussing something while putting some clothes into their bags. It was then that Anine realised that they were stealing.

She gasped and poked Anna's shoulder.

"Ow, what?" Anna turned to her in annoyance.

"Anna, those men are stealing," whispered Anine to Anna while grabbing her arm.

"What?! No way! I'm not gonna let them steal my clothes!"

Anine slammed her hand on Anna's mouth and shushed her. "One, keep your voice down and two, stop overreacting."

They both watched as the men closed their bags that looked to be very big, probably filled with clothes.

"How come nobody else is seeing this?" Asked Anna.

"They're at the corner! Oh look, here they come!"

The two men were coming to were they were which was 4 metres away from the exit.

"What do we do?" Asked Anine, looking at Anna.

"Stop them, of course," said Anna.

"Easy for you to say," muttered Anine.

"Oh it is easy," said Anna, pushing Anine making her trip and fall on the two guys. Their bags fell down and the clothes that were in the bag came out. The fall had caused some noise, earning the attentions from the workers.

One of the men didn't know what else to do so he pointed to Anna and Anine. "They were trying to steal!"

"What?!" Exclaimed Anna in disbelief.

"Nobody steals from my shop!" Said a very big and fat lady coming from the door across the room. Just a look at her and men would be frightened.

Anna and Anine shared a look. "Run," was the only word Anine said as she and Anna dashed out of the shop.

They didn't look where they were going as they were bumping into people, receiving shouts from angry villagers.

"Anna! Anine?!" They both heard someone called but were too busy running to see who it was.

"So do you like it here?" Asked Roxy, looking excitedly at Jack.

"Yeah," said Jack, smiling at her in return. "Arendalle is a lovely place to be."

"Glad you think that way," said Jimmy.

They stopped at the market and waited while Roxy bought some vegetables and fruits.

"Say huh Jake?" Said Jimmy, glancing at Jack who was taking a bite of his apple. "Do you know how to handle a sword?"

Jack stopped. He couldn't move, he felt an image flashing in his mind, just by hearing the word sword.

It was an image of a white haired boy, looking down at the bloody sword in his hands.

Jack shook his head. What was that? He tried to find the image again but it was gone. There was nothing.

He looked at Jimmy who was looking at him questionably. "Huh yeah, I think so," he said. "Why'd you ask?"

"Nothing, I'm just looking for a sparing partner."

They both turned when they heard people shouting. Jack caught a glimpse of two girls running like they were being chased by a murder or something.

"Come on you two!" He looked over at Roxy who was calling them.

Anna and Anine stopped near the back of a building. Further up was the green forest.

They both were breathing rapidly. "Easy, huh?" Mocked Anine, sternly.

"Sorry," apologised Anna.

"I am never going back there again."

"Indeed you both aren't."

They both screamed and turned around. Only to be met with a platinum blonde women. She was 5'9 and was in mans' clothes.
