Chisaki sighs as he looks at his phone. "What a boring day today is." He says wandering along a sidewalk as he grumbles at his phone in frustration. "Why can I never find a Pikachu!" He suddenly glances up as a girl shrieks while falling over, dropping a suitcase on the ground. He hums approaching the blonde girl who had fallen over her luggage open he walks over and offers the person his hand.

"Here, do you need some help?" He smiles warmly at her.

"Thank you."

As they grab hands he pulls her up slightly, she stumbles slightly as a breeze blows through and blows her veil off. Chisaki grabs it and hands it back to her with a kind smile.

"Thank you very much."

"So what's a Holy Sister like yourself doing here in Kuoh?"

"Um, I... I got lost and need help."

"Oh, yeah. I'll help ya out." He then helps gather her things. And put them in her luggage. The pair begin to walk about as Chisaki holds her luggage and his phone in separate hands. "Are you on a trip?"

"Oh, no. I was appointed to this towns church. I'm glad I met such a nice person like you. It must've been divine guidance."

Chisaki chuckles, holding back a scoff. "Yeah... divine guidance." The pair continue walking for a while until crying is heard nearby. The pair look until they spot a boy on the floor with a cut on his knee. The nun runs to him and soothes him.

"Don't cry, it's just a scrape. You're a boy, after all." She then puts her hands to the knee and a green light emits as the blood slowly vanished and the wound heals.

"A Sacred Gear? This is an interesting twist."

Just then the necklace on his neck seemingly reacts to her ability. Chisaki notes this, and hides it under his shirt, while also fighting off the feeling of pain in his back. "That's a new one... it hasn't reacted like that for a long time." He mutters.

"Look! Your wounds gone. It's all right now." She then turns to Chisaki whilst still kneeling to the boy. "Sorry, force of habit."

"It's fine." He mutters his smile now replaced with an interested gaze in the rings attached to her finger. The pair then continue to walk.

"I must've surprised you?" Asia says, looking down

He hums, shrugging. "Not really. You have some great powers actually."

"It's a wonderful power granted by God. Yes, a wonderful power..." She looks down, and Chisaki notes her sorrowful gaze.

He hums again, thinking of his necklace, and it being covered in blood, the image of a boy with black hair and red eyes crying, himself holding clothes, and an eyepatch flashes in his mind. "Yeah, we all have something special don't we?"

"Oh, that must be the place!" She says as they spot the church just ahead atop a hill.

"Yeah. It's the only church in town, from what my friend said."

"Great! Thank you so much!"

"Though I haven't seen anyone over there since I moved into Kuoh."

"I'd like to return the favor, so would you like to accompany me?"

"Sorry, I've got somewhere to be in a few minutes, I don't have the time."

"I see. My name is Asia Argento. Please call me Asia."

"Chisaki. Chisaki Judai."

"I'm happy to have met someone as kind as you this quickly after arriving in Japan!"

"And I'm happy to see a Holy Sister such as yourself here in Japan."

"Please find the time to visit the church when you find the time. Promise me?"

"Sure. I'll see you later, sister." Chisaki bows politely.

"Bye!"

Daniel sighs as his phone then goes off as he hears the song he cringes before saying anything, he answers. "Yo, what's up?"

"We've got a problem." Chisaki says walking away from the church.

Daniel sighs, before sitting up, minutes later, he sits across from aria,s the pair alone inside the ORC's clubroom.

"Don't go near the church ever again." Rias warns.

Daniel scoffs. "Why?"

"Churches are hostile territory to us."

Daniel huffs. "Correction. They're hostile territory to you devils. I have free range since I'm not apart of your peerage."

"But you don't know when they'll throw a light spear at you."

Daniel scoffs rolling his eyes and leaning back. "Are we done here?"

"Don't. Go. Near. The. Church." She orders through her frustration.

"You. Don't. Give. Me. Orders." He retorts glaring at Rias.

The pair stare each other down neither willing to back down. Their wills clashing neither giving an inch. The pair both at the same moment turn away from each other and walk away their auras red and black slowly separating.

Later, Daniel is forced into the Occult Research Clubroom as Rias is there with the others and Chisaki is seated there as well.

"What do you want now, tomato?" He grumbles.

"The archduke sent a message." Akeno says entering the room.

"The archduke?" Daniel asks "What does it have to do with me?"

"Apparently a Stray Devil is on the loose in this town and we along with Daniel and his friends were asked to take care of it."

"Oh so you devils think you can force me into this? No. I'm not helping go do as you wish. I'm not dealing with this shit."

"He mostly asked for you so we could explain a thing that was sent to you. Do you remember getting a briefcase that was leaking both holy and demonic powers."

"Oh, that thing." Daniel summons it to himself, through his specialized glyph. "Haven't opened it yet, but yeah. I remember it."

"Bring it with you."

Daniel scoffs. "Fine."

The trio of Chisaki, Lucy, and Daniel are all seen standing outside a house when the group led by Rias arrives.

"It's about time you all arrived." He scoffs.

Issei turns to everyone. "So uh what's a Stray Devil?"

Daniel hums as they walk into the building. "Oh well... it used to be a servant to another Devil."

"Like us?"

Kiba nods. "Sometimes, devils betray or kill their masters, so they can live doing whatever they please."

Daniel hums. "Sounds like a Phoenix I met a while back. Eh. I'm sure it's not important."

Chisaki turns to Daniel. "I beg to differ."

Kiba sighs. "Anyways. That's what we call a stray Devil."

Akeno nods. "We're headed to a deserted house. A stray Devil is said to lure people into it to eat them."

"E-Eat them?!"

"Huh. Neat." Daniel draws a sword from a glyph and readies himself for combat.

"Tonight's mission is to bring it down." Rias says.

Daniel slouches down. "Can I burn this place to the ground?"

Lucy pats his back. "I don't think so."

"You three shall see the utter monstrosity stemming from abuse of demonic power and being without a master."

Daniel grins. "Believe me. Chisaki, Lucy and I already know." The three shudder at the mention of them already knowing.

"You know?" Kiba asks.

"I have connections. And sometimes Tokyo is a dangerous place."

"Really now?"

Daniel nods, his dead-eyed gaze terrifying to everyone aside from Chisako and Lucy. "Yes."

"Well... what are some of the dangers?" Kiba asks.

Daniel sighs, struggling to put into words the things he'd seen. He reminisces about having to fight creatures with tentacles coming out of their backs, a stray devil that can poop minis of itself, and another stray that nearly ate Daniel. Chisaki almost shooting Daniel's head off. Lucy almost electrocuting Daniel, and a person with a dog that has a chainsaw coming from its head. "Too much to say."

"Issei, Daniel?" Rias speaks to the pair.

"Oh, yes, President!" Issei responded quickly.

"Do you know chess?"

Daniel nods. "Well, yeah. Sona and I play against each other every so often. I actually plan to play a game against her tomorrow at lunch."

"Chess? You mean the board game?"

"I, the master, am the king. There's the queen-." Rias begins.

"The Knights, The bishops and the rooks. Oh and the pawns."

Rias sighs. "Correct. Devils from the aristocracy assign the traits of these to their subordinates."

"Traits of the pieces"?" Issei asks.

"We call them Evil pieces. Though a recent version that was made a single set. For a human to use was made known as the Equal pieces."

Daniel chuckles. "Equal Pieces?" What are you, communists?"

"Why would you need to do that?" Issei asks.

"Anyway, for tonight, you four observe closely how devils fight."

Daniel sighs. "Oh joy. It's like Damien all over again."

Lucy nods. "I'll say."

Issei nods. "Y-Yes."

"Nah. I feel like fighting today. And I'll need a good punching bag." Daniel grins stepping forward.

"She's here." Koneko says.

"I smell something bad. At the same time, I also smell so much deliciousness! Will it be sweet? Or will it be bitter?" The stray devil approaches, and their human body is the first thing seen. A human female floating high above them.

"Boobs!" Issei focuses on his main goal.

Daniel chuckles. "Sorry dear, but I'd say I'm give a bit more of a kick than just spicy."

Rias glares "Stray devil type... Visor. Nefarious beings that run away from their masters to fulfil their own desires. They more than deserve death for their sins."

Daniel shrugs. "Well... actually I've met a few strays that killed their masters or ran away because of abuse. So it's not always the case."

Visor chuckles. "I see we have a smart person here."

"In the name of Duke Gremory, I'll kick your ass!" Rias shouts.

"Insolent girl. I will cover you in blood as red as your hair!"

"Sorry, but I cant allow that. I have a game for you." Daniel grins.

"A game?"

"Truth or dare?" Daniel asks.

"Truth... or dare...?" Visor looks at Daniel confused.

"Simple as that."

Visor begins laughing maniacally, everyone aside from Daniel and Lucy back away, her laughter ringing in their souls. "I choose dare and my dare is to kill that girl!"

Daniel grins. "The dare has been chosen and though the truth will remain hidden it shall not be allowed to change their dare. They dare to tempt fate and for their punishment they shall die!" He extends his hand as a new blade forms in his hand and he prepares for a fight whilst Chisaki pulls out one of his rifles. "Though... its one as witty as I'd expect from a weakling."

"Th- This is a stray devil? She seems like an exhibitionist!" Issei cheers.

Chisaki scoffs. "Mind out of the gutter Issei. Or rather use your mind to find a way to 'gut her' Issei!" Two long arms appear from nowhere as Issei grows a scared look whilst Daniel smirks Chisaki simply raises his rifle and shoots off one of her fingers. "Damn! That could've been a better shot."

Just then Daniel turns around and cuts one of the arms that were cut off earlier into even tinier pieces. Rias turns just in time to see having saved her life covered in blood from the arm.

"Th-Thanks..."

"Whatever. Lucy!" He shouts, and she nods stepping forward.

"Yeah?"

"Leave her alive for me." Daniel orders.

She grins, and runs forward, a spiral of glyphs surrounds her the glyphs surround Visor defending everyone as they merge into two glyphs. "Fireball, and... Whirlwind." Combining the two spells the Fireball is swiftly absorbed into the cyclone of air burning Visor horribly until she's doused with water followed by electricity. Visor collapses her head directly in front of Daniel.

Daniel walks forward pouring more and more magic into dare. As he approaches. "Any last words?"

"Kill me..." Visor's voice is coarse, her vocal cords are burned and damaged.

Daniel sighs. "Alright then. It's a shame. You probably could've been a useful ally, but what's done is done." He then plants dare straight into the forehead of Visor before backing off and snapping his fingers. "Lights Out."

Visor's body suddenly rises as she screeches in pain before blade after blade erupts from her body as she explodes and all the blades shatter into shards, Dare floats in the air before vanishing through a magic circle.

Rias nods. "We're done. Now, let's go back."

Issei glances to Rias. "Um... what piece am I?"

"A pawn." She smiles.

"By "pawn," you don't mean..."

"Yes, Issei, you're a foot soldier."

"A foot soldier?"

Daniel sighs, 'And if I were to become a devil. What would you say I was to be?"

"Daniel you would be a knight, Lucy a queen and Chisaki a pawn."

Daniel hums, he then checks a glyph on the back of his hand a blinking red light alerts him to something and he begins walking away. Later that night, Daniel is seen waiting at a house before Issei rolls up on his bike.

"Daniel? Why are you here?"

"I wasn't waiting on you, but since you're here, back me up." The pair then walk up to the house before Daniel notices that the door wasn't closed.

"They left the door open. That's dangerous." Issei mutters. The pair enter but Daniel summons one of his swords, himself being on the safe side, he also stalks his way through the building silently. "Hello! I'm Gremory-Sama's servant devil. Is the client-" Issei shouts drawing attention to himself away from Daniel. He stops as the duo both suddenly sense Holy magic.

"Issei. Get back." Daniel mutters, a feeling of familiarity with the energy,

"Is anyone home?" Issei asks concerned.

Daniel sniffs the air before covering his nose. "Blood?"

The pair continue until issei steps on a liquid on the floor. "Something's spilled..."

"Issei, that's blood." Issei then looks up following the blood to find a man in an upside-down cross.

Daniel glares. "So it's him... Issei. Get out of here."

"What is this?"

"Punishment of the wicked." A man says turning a corner face to face with Issei, Daniel uses a mirror to see the man, Freed Seizan.

"So you still quote the Holy scripture, uncle?" Daniel says from behind the wall.

"Well, well, if it isn't my favorite student, oh... and you're with a devil I see."

Daniel chuckles. "Eh. More like making sure they owe more for later, Uncle Freed."

"Heh. So you still remember what I taught you."

Daniel sighs. "Never trust a devil. and always keep a sharper mind than your opponent."

"Well, My name is Freed Selzan. A young priest who's a part of a certain exorcist organization."

"Was." Daniel corrects, the Vatican exiled you a long time ago, Anderson and Nelson still hunt you, don't they?" Freed doesn't respond instead growling in anger.

"A priest?" Issei asks.

"Well I'm definitely not some worthless shit like a devil." He grins.

"So is that your doing?" Daniel asks himself referring to the upside-down corpse.

"You're no longer human once you start depending on devils. End of the road! The End! That's why I killed him!"

Daniel sighs. "So you've become a murderer. Just like Lint said you would."

"Getting rid of shitty devils and even more worthless shits bedeviled by them is my job!"

"And Besides. A good sword fight is fucking fun!" The pair then pull out handles that activate in a lightsaber kinda way. "Oh... so we both have a Star Wars rip-off Weapon."

"I'll now stick this sword into your heart and score a lovely headshot with this fabulous gun!" Freed then jumps towards Issei and Daniel before both jump out of the way Daniel backflips as Issei simply tucks and rolls to the side. "Bang!" He then fires his gun hitting Issei in the back of his knee while Daniel clashes blades with him. Issei screams in pain falling to the ground. "An exorcist's golden bullet... you like it?"

Issei glares at Freed. "D-Damn you!"

Daniel then continues his battle with Freed. The two clash swords Daniel pushing Freed back and slowly causing the man to go on the defensive when Issei dashes between the pair and Freed is able to get a clean cut on his back. Freed raises his sword for the final blow when Asia screens as Chisaki rushes into the room, punching Freed back.

They all turn to see Asia standing there scared.

"Oh, Asia, my assistant. Are you done setting up the magical barrier?" Freed asks.

Asia stares at the corpse. "Th-This is..."

"Oh, right you're a beginner. This is our job. We kill off worthless people enchanted by Devils, you see."

"N-No way!" She then spots Chisaki standing alongside Daniel, fighting off the former exorcist.

"Chisaki?"

"Oh, hello Asia." He says blocking an attack from a Freed, allowing Daniel to knock him back.

"What? You two know each other?"

"Well yeah. I'm the one who guided her to the church earlier today." Chisaki says offhandedly.

"Why are you...?"

"Oh I'm just keeping a favor. Unfortunately that favor entails keeping this Devil alive, right Daniel?"

Daniel hums. "Yeah."

"W-What?"

Daniel sighs. "I'm trying to find someone dear to me. If it means turning to unethical means then so be it."

"S-So you've chosen to side with-?"

Daniel huffs. "I'm not taking sides. I still believe in god. And I still have faith. But if it helps me do something that the church wouldn't help me with. Then I'll take the risk. Are we done here, Freed?"

Unfortunately, until that Devil is dead we are not. Besides Asia, we can't survive without the protection of Fallen Angels."

Daniel growls. "So you're using her safety to keep her on your side. Unfortunately for you I plan to kill those fallen who attempt to take my sisters life."

"Then you may want to leave. I think Mittelt is currently headed to Lucy's location."

Daniel's eyes widen as he suddenly makes a glyph that falters due to the barrier. He grabs Issei and begins to run for the exit but is blocked by Freed who refuses to let the pair escape.

"Leave the devil and I'll let you go."

"Daniel... go... protect your sister." Issei says.

Daniel nods. "Alright. I'll send word to Rias about your situation as soon as I'm out, Chisaki, handle things here!" He orders.

"Alright." Chisaki catches a blade tossed to him by Daniel.

With that Daniel drops Issei down and bolts to the outside making a magic circle and teleporting into his houses living room where upon entry sees Lucy barely holding her own against the gothic-Lolita from before and Dohnaseek attempting attacks from behind, but be8ng blocked by glyphs that struggle to maintain themselves. He creates a second sword and immediately kicks Mittelt out of the house before rushing at Dohnaseek engaging in a blade lock against the fedora-wearing man.

"Get the fuck out of my house!" He shouts kicking Dohnaseek out the same window and making them collide on the grass he walks outside as the two launch spear after spear at him cutting them in half without getting a single cut on himself he begins chanting.

"Let darkness run in terror from my light and let the light be consumed by all my darkness. Neither Holy nor Demonic. The greyness of my soul is shown in the blackness of thy blade. Fade to black. Black Mass!" He summons the blade and absorbs multiple light spears into the blade until the pair stop from exhaustion they look up to see Daniel with a golden aura as the world goes gray every being represented by a singular color Dohnaseek as a dark red, Mittelt being a bright yellow and Daniel being multi-colored as he begins another chant the lights begin to rapidly alternate and switch before seemingly stopping on a bright blue before it turns into a darker shade and finally violet.

"Though the purity of my heart is non-existent and the gloriousness of adventure has been stolen. The violet nature of nobility and power. The purity of this shade being all that remains. Let my hatred and disparity be your last sight. Rise. Darkness!" The blade comes out of the circle as Mittelt grows frustrated and rushes the boy as she aims for his neck she smirks thinking she has speed on her side when her smirk turns into a look of shock and horror as her face contorts blood begins to spew covering the boys pants before a body collapses near them and her head rolls away from him her shocked expression forever present on her face. He turns to Dohnaseek who in a look of anger summons a spear bigger than all the others he's created and attempts to destroy Daniel, and Lucy in the same moment before he suddenly recoils and the spear shatters as he looks over and sees his arm on the floor before he looks Daniel dead in the eyes.

"Shitty fucking crow." The camera then shows the back of Dohnaseek's head as the upper half of his head slides off and the rest collapses downward before blood spews out covering Daniel in red fluid. "Disgusting creatures... they deserve no good fate." He turns and sees Lucy sitting on a chair breathing heavily and Chisaki holding one of his arms. The pair smirk at Daniel

"Are we done here?" Chisaki asks having returned from his battle with Freed.

Daniel nods. "I'd say we are."

Lucy sighs. "Good. I want to sleep. We'll discuss this tomorrow before school."

Daniel sighs. "Agreed."

The following morning he awakens to hear his phone ringing picking it up he doesn't even bother to check the caller I.D. "Yes, Who is it?"

"Hey, Daniel." The caller is Tsubasa, this awakens Daniel a bit more.

"Tsubasa?" He asks lifting out of bed, he remains as silent as possible kicking his feet out of bed. "What's up?"

"Just got a call from Sona. She said she wants to see you and that new kid Chisaki. Oh and to bring some briefcase with you."

Daniel sighs. "Understood."

"She said she wants to meet you before the end of the hour."

Daniel scoffs. "Great... well... tell her that she'll see me when I get to school in two hours."

"You know she's not going to be happy with that."

Daniel shrugs. "How about I make it up to you, since your the messenger, by taking you to dinner later today?"

Tsubasa thinks about it for a moment before responding. "Deal."

"Alright. I'll be there in a couple hours."

"See ya."

Daniel smiles. "Adios." He then gets out of bed and stretches. Looking at the school uniform he grabs the blazer and throws it in the closet pulling out a t-shirt. He then walks out knocking on Chisaki's door.

"Sona wants to meet with us before school so hurry up and let's get moving I'm not carrying you everywhere like when we were kids."

Chisaki sighs. "Fine..."

Daniel walks down to the kitchen pulling out some eggs, bacon, pancakes and a few sausages as he makes some pancakes he swears he hears a female voice in his mind yelling "pancakes!" He then simply walks to the living room after making breakfast for everyone and turns on the tv and his Playstation 4 playing Star Wars Battlefront 2 before the others enter the room. First Chisaki in a pair of black pants and one of Daniel's shirts.

"Why do you have this shirt?"

"Why are you wearing my shirt?"

"Why are your shirts in my room?"

"Because your room was mine and Lucy's shared closet before you moved in."

Chisaki scoffs. "Whatever. So are we going to meet with Sona or not?"

Daniel sits down grabbing a plate to eat. "Waiting on Lucy."

"I'm ready to go." She says already fully dressed seated on the couch scrolling through channels.

"No, I mean waiting on you to go get breakfast so you don't complain about not having been fed when we get there."

Lucy smiles. "Oh no im fine I have all the food I need."

"Where?"

"Right..." She reaches into her shirt reaching around before finally grabbing it pulling it through and showing off to the others. "Here!"

The two boys stare in shock as she ties it back up and puts it back in her shirt.

Daniel looks to the ground. "Science has failed me... my world has shattered and so shall a damned wall named the fourth."

"Now let's get going. You don't want to keep the council president waiting."

Chisaki sighs. "Right."

The trio begins to leave the house, making their way to the school Lucy skips happily down the way the shocked expression never once leaving the pair of boys faces.

Time Skip

Daniel sighs as the trio arrives at the school, it's still extremely early, and the only people at the school as far as he can tell are both Devil houses and his trio. The pair of boys head straight to the student council office. Daniel knocks on the door.

"It's open." A cold yet understanding voice answers from the other side.

He opens the door, waiting for him are Sona, Tsubaki, Momo, Tsubasa, and the other members of the Student Council in the room they move about revealing two seats in front of Sona. Entering the room Daniel shakes every person's hand before reaching Tsubasa giving a handshake before giving a light hug, whispering in her ear.

"Text me where you want to go for dinner later."

Tsubasa nods. "Right."

He releases before being given a friendly hug by Momo who whispers into his ear. "Don't. Hurt. Her." She warns,

Daniel chuckles. "Wouldn't dream of it." He mutters.

"Good." The hug is released and she gives a sickly sweet smile that makes Daniel shiver as he smiles back. Before sitting between Chisaki and Sona, putting the briefcase on his lap.

"So, Daniel. Do you know why I called for you today?"

Daniel leans back. "I don't know... to tell me the truth like Gremory did?"

"Like who did?" Sona is taken aback for a brief moment.

"Sona. Can I call you Sona? I'm gonna call you Sona. You can stop faking." Daniel grins taking control of the conversation. "I know that besides Chisaki and Myself, everyone in this room is a literal devil. I intentionally made sure to keep an eye on all the devils in the city.

"How did you-?"

Daniel chuckles. "I was taught how to wield a sword by an exorcist and another old friend from a very, very young age."

"So. Where do you stand on devils then?" She glares, everyone else staring at the pair.

She lifts a chess board, setting up the pieces she requests the briefcase to which Daniel obliges opening revealing a chess set. She grabs the set seemingly fighting off a headache placing each piece awaiting Daniel's response.

"I think their an integral part of the world. Even if my teacher taught me to kill them. I know through experience that devils are not how the scriptures say. But I know that some devils can be better than humans. I personally have a few devils that I, not gonna lie, kinda like."

Finishing his speech he moves his bishop having started playing currently holding the advantage over Sona both players very carefully surveying the battlefield.

"So Daniel, What do you know about the supernatural?" She probes for more information, moving a pawn.

"What do I know? The question should've been what don't I know." He counters her play with a Knight. "Let's start with the Fallen since they were the first I was introduced to after being taught that the supernatural existed. The Fallen are angels cast out of heaven for a variety of reasons. Some like Azazel were cast out due to having sexual relations. Some for having a perverted sense of power and how to achieve said power." He moves his knight taking Sona's queen. She responds by taking his last bishop leaving him with one knight, two pawns, a queen, and the king. And although seemingly at random he uses his next move taking the enemy knight out of combat showing a dead even field.

"And the next race?"

"I'll go onto the Angels next. Where to begin with them?" He says softly. "Everyone should know the story. They were created by god. With strict rules to ensure they're never to be corrupted and if any break or try to bend these rules they will be cast out and become Fallen Angels. Not much more to say." He moves his knight again taking an enemy pawn, though her second pawn is able to promote to a queen in which he is forced to move his king losing his knight in the process.

"And lastly?"

Daniel smirks. "Devils. I know little about you all. However I do know of the pillars and the ego most seem to have when it comes to dealing with us humans. I've met a couple of devils that I get along with. You, Momo, Tsubasa, a bugger of a Phoenix, though his friends are good company."

"A Phoenix?"

"Yup."

"And about this ego?"

Daniel chuckles. "Oh, don't be insulted. I'm referring to devils like Asagi's older brother."

Sona hums. "I see" The pair look back at the board showing both being down to their kings.

"Well, I guess we have a stalemate." Daniel smiles offering a hand

Sona accepts the handshake. "It seems so."

"Good Game."

Sona nods. "Good Game."

"Now... about these pieces from the briefcase." Daniel asks placing them back in the briefcase.

"Yes. These pieces were made with a mixture of Pure Holy, Tainted Holy and Demonic magic. They were made to be used by a human. These specific pieces will allow not only devils into it, but humans, Fallen and pure angels. Daniel hums admiring the Knight piece. "I see... And these pieces were given to me, because...?"

"Because of your Sacred Gear." Sona answerers. Daniel hums, his smile quickly fading. "The only other time something similar to this has happened was the previous host of your gear."

"I see..." He places the Knight piece in the briefcase before closing it shut.

"That is all the information I know about these pieces. Despite being around for so long, there's little to no information about them in my family or even Devil archives at least the ones I'm allowed to get to."

Daniel nods. "Understood."

"You are free to go do as you please. Oh and Daniel?"

"Yes?" He says standing up.

"Tsubasa's favorite food is hamburgers."

Daniel blushes slightly before bowing to hide it. "O-Oh, thanks."

Later that day, Daniel and Chisaki sit together at a table in a park as they all look at the pieces trying to figure out what to do...

"So... What are we going to do with these?"

"We could either use them... or..."

"We leave them in the briefcase." Daniel finishes his sentence. "Okay." He takes a moment to deliberate on the situation. "I say we don't use them until their one hundred percent needed."

"Even then you'd have to use it now so that way you're prepared for it."

"That's true... Okay. We'll talk more about this at home." The duo get up and begin walking home when they hear a few voices belonging to some familiar people.

"Chisaki?"

"Daniel! Chisaki!" Issei shouts their names.

The pair turn around, looking at the pair approaching them.

"Asia?"

"Y-Yes?"

"What are you doing here? I thought that the Fallen were..."

"I was able to get today off and to come into town for today."

"Alright. Well... who's hungry?" Just then Issei stops by them tiered from his running.

"Me..."

"Oh, I'm not-." She stops,s speaking when she hears her stomach growling. Chisaki walks away leaving Daniel alone with the pair. The trio of Asia, Daniel, and Issei all head to find somewhere to eat finally deciding on a fast food place.

"Hello welcome to McRonald's, can I take your order."

"Yes, is like two number ones and my friend Issei here will have a kids meal number 3."

"Okay. So that's two full meal McRonald's stuffed burger is that with everything on or?"

"On one of them no jalapeños or onions."

"Okay. And for the kids meal what dip would you like?"

"Barbecue."

"Okay your food will be ready in ten minutes. That'll be..."

"Do you mind if I pay in U.S dollars?"

"Uh... I don't know...?"

"Well because I have twenty dollar bill here and I was gonna just hand this but I don't know what I'd get back. Well actually keep the change from it, I think you should be able to make something away with it."

"Thank you...?"

He walks away leaving the cashier looking at the twenty as he walks over to Issei and Asia handing the duo their cups. He quickly walks away as Issei asks why he has a small kids' cup. They sit in relative silence Issei, eyeing Asia in a non perverted way but with a rather suspicious look, as Asia is scared of Issei forcing Daniel to chop issei on the head.

"Ahh! What was that for?!"

"You're scaring her. Now stop being an idiot."

Their food arrives as Issei begins complaining about his kid's meal but Daniel doesn't budge. Until they both notice that Asia isn't eating.

"Uh... Asia?" Daniel glances at her.

"Y-Yes?"

"Do you... know how to eat a burger?" Daniel asks.

"N-No."

Daniel nods. "Okay, this is how you eat one." He takes a rather small bite for himself being known by his sister to take massive bites out of burgers.

"I never would've guessed they can be eaten like that." She does the same taking a small bite of her food as Issei just grumbles to himself eating his kid's meal.

"It's delicious!"

"Well... let's see, after we eat what'd you say we walk about the town. The three of us." Daniel offers, though his gaze remains affixed to Issei almost accusatory.

"Uhh... Daniel. A word."

Daniel glances at Issei. "I'll explain to her later."

Issei sighs. "F-Fine."

"Oh, uh sure!" Asia agrees.

Daniel, Asia, and Issei all walk around the town making jokes, stopping at a local arcade to play games together Issei and Asia seem to get along but only as long as Daniel is there. After their time playing games, they head outside where Daniel buys himself and Asia some tea making issei buy himself a drink as well.

"I've never had so much fun in my life!" Asia says with a smile, Daniel notes how forced it looks.

"Are you exaggerating, Asia?" He takes a sip from his drink as he suddenly stops seeing Issei in pain. He looks around noticing a lack of people nearby. "You alright Issei?"

"Y-Yeah."

"I-It's your wound from that time?"

Issei nods, through the pain. "Y-Yeah."

The three stop by a nearby water fountain as Asia is healing Issei whilst Daniel skips stones. As she finishes up the healing, Daniel looks up into the sky as he hears a bush rustling and sees a white cat with a red collar and bright green eyes along with a golden triangle on its left eye.

"Isn't this a cute little guy?" He smiles petting the cat. The cat rubs itself up against his legs accepting being carried as he slowly makes his way back to Asia and Issei. Hearing her talk a bit about her past.

"My parents abandoned me right after I was born. I was told I had been found crying in front of a small European town's church. I grew up there. When I was eight, a wounded dog, close to to death, wandered into the church. By myself I prayed as hard as I could. That's when a miracle occurred. Soon afterwards, I was taken to a big church where I was ordered to heal illnesses and wounds of Christians coming from all over the world. I was so happy that my power could help people! Then, one day, I encountered a man collapsed on the floor, heavily injured. But the man I came across was..." She petters out, her voice dying in her throat unable to finish the sentence

"A devil..." Daniel stares down petting the cat.

"Yes... I was branded a heretic because I had the power to heal even devils."

Daniel nods. "The church is very fickle you could say... having grown up in an orphanage for some time... I can definitely attest to the fact that people within the church are rather... well let's just say I don't want to rejoin them."

"So, that's why you had nowhere to go and got picked up by a Fallen Angel." Issai points out.

"But I never stopped praying to God, expressing my gratitude. Not to mention I never knew what terrible things they were doing. The lord must be testing me."

Daniel sighs. "He's testing all of us humans. And some pass, some fail."

"If I can overcome this ordeal, he will one day make my dream come true someday. That's what I believe."

Daniel smiles, patting the blonde girl's head. "Well... your faith runs deeper than mine. Heh. I believe that we make our dreams reality and that he'll give us individuals that'll help us reach our dreams but we ourselves have to make them into reality."

"Your dream?" Issei asks.

"I'll make a lot of friends. Together we'll buy flowers and books and chat... That's my dream. You see. I don't have any friends."

"Well then I'd say you've definitely started having it as a reality." Daniel reaffirms her,

"What do you mean?"

"I mean, Chisaki's your friend. I don't know how you feel about Issei, but I'd call him your friend."

Issei nods. "Yeah. I'll be your friend. We chatted and had fun together, after all."

"See. Issei's not bad. Even if he's a devil."

"Gah!" He feigns injury to his heart. "Come on man!"

"I'm messing with ya, Hyodo."

Asia and Daniel smile, at each other as Issei and Asia close their eyes smiling. Daniel's smile suddenly drops, he lowers the cats from his arms, before he summons a sword and throws it towards the fountain nearby.

"Not going to happen. Whoa!" Raynare says, but before she can put on an act she's forced to dodge a sword as he pulls out his phone unlocks it, and taps on Chisaki's contact info.

"Raynare." He glares.

"Yuuma?!" Issei looks up at Raynare in shock.

"Raynare!" Asia backs behind the boys in fear.

"As I thought. You cunts are trying to control her. I didn't think you could fall further than looking like a trash-bag slut. But I guess I was wrong." The duo stare at Raynare not taking her eyes off Daniel a small hint of anger showing. "It felt good by the way."

Raynare turns to Daniel fully, confused. "What?"

"Seeing their looks of cockiness turn into horror as her head came clean off her shoulders. Or as his face ripped in two. Now, I think you know I'm not afraid to attack, of course it'll be to protect, but don't worry I'll aim for your neck."

Raynare takes a moment, floating slightly away from Daniel. "Asia, you can't just run away." She says, trying to maintain her persona.

"No! I won't return to a place where I have to kill people!" Asia shouts from behind Daniel.

"To think you were an angel at one point disgusts me."

"Sorry, the truth is I ran away from the church." Asia apologizes to the two boys.

Daniel chuckles. "It's Fine. Issei!"

Issei glances back. "Yeah?"

"Get a hold of Rias. You and I will have to hold her off alone. I'll have Chisaki and Lucy on their way to us right now. You cover Asia I'll do the fighting for now."

Issei steps back. "Why are you here, Fallen Angel?!"

"A squalid, low-class devil like you shouldn't address me so frivolously."

Daniel scoffs. Then maybe you'll give me the answers I'm looking for. Fallen Angel, Raynare. What are you doing in Kuoh, or rather in devil territory?"

"I don't have to answer to a low human either. If you're going to stand in my way..."

"Fade to black. Black Mass!" She summons a light spear as the blade forms fully in Daniel's hand he stands defensively in front of Asia and Issei.

"Sacred Gear." Issei calls out, summoning a red gauntlet.

Raynare looks shocked for a second before laughing to herself. "So it's just a Twice Critical. We were completely off the mark. Turns out Star as a human could probably kick your ass even if you were at full power."

"T-Twice?"

"Also known as Dragon's Hand, it's an ordinary item that doubles your power temporarily. But zero times two is still zero."

"Double my power?" Issei asks.

"He has a dangerous Sacred Gear." That's What my superior told me, so I went through that entire farce. "I love you! Please go out with me!" Remember? You humans are just dumb enough to fall for that."

Daniel steps forward. "Whilst that was funny to you. As a human I find it insulting that you think every human would fall for that trick. Now if you kindly, shut the hell up!"

"You won't stand a chance! Just hand over Asia and leave."

"Never in my life have I given up on a friend, and I'll be damned if I start now."

Issei stands up for Asia. "I refuse!"

"Issei, Daniel!" Asia begins crying, happy for her new friends.

Issei clenches his fist. "As a man, I have to be able to protect my friends!"

"And as myself, I must show that you will not be dominant over me." Daniel grins, a golden glow slowly forms around him, a glyph forming behind him. Issei then attempts to power up but simply takes a spear to the gut as Daniel deflects one aimed at him "Asia, heal Issei I'll cover you!" Daniel orders.

"Asia, I want you to return with me. Your Twilight Healing is an extremely rare Sacred Gear, unlike what he has. And oh Daniel if only you would join us we could be unstoppable."

?Sorry, But I don't stick my dick in crazy. Besides. You're only interested in the Sacred Gear."

"If you agree to come back I'll spare their lives." She says to Asia.

She nods her head to the side to show a beaten Chisaki and Kalawarner holding a dagger to Lucy's neck. Issei attempts to move but this causes Raynare to jump and throw the spear into the ground. Issei pushes Asia back as Daniel grabs her before it blows up launching Issei into the water.

"Issei!"

"Damn it! That spear was stronger than the one before." He mutters rising from the water fountain.

"I missed on purpose. Now stand down Star. Or Kalawarner kills your sister."

Daniel slowly lowers his blade looking at Asia fearfully as he kneels next to Asia he glances toward Lucy when something black comes into his view and he sees nothing but black and the voice of Asia screaming. The clouds above seem to grow darker and darker but as Raynare goes to grab him she stops, grabs Asia, and jumps back, Kalawarner jumping into the air having released Lucy to do so. The pair look towards a nearby bush to see a girl with blonde hair standing there, her green emerald eyes staring up at the Fallen Angels as well as next to her a white cat with bright green eyes and a yellow triangle over its left eye.

"Now, now, Fallen one's, lay another finger on him and I burn you to a crisp."

"And who the hell are you, butch."

She chuckles, popping some knuckles. "No one to concern yourself with as long as you don't touch him anymore."

Kalawarner aims a light spear. "I'll agree for now. But we'll be back to kill him and you while we're at it."

"Good luck with that."

The two Fallen fly away as Lucy slowly falls asleep as the girl approaches Daniel's unconscious body picking him up. She carries him over to Lucy grabs her and takes both somewhere else when Lucy passes out Chisaki is dragged behind.

"Crystia's got you. We'll save that girl just like the old days, any Star Kids?"
