A male sits crossed legged. Swords rise up around him in a perfect circle, a magic circle forms in the center under the male forming swords that lift him off the ground as the flat side of the blades are pressed to his body.

"I need to focus... focus on my gear. And focus, on him..." He thinks

"Its been a while. Daniel." Daniel's eyes open and glancing. Around he notices how he's returned to the place where he met Ian previously. A white void, featureless, but somehow, completely peaceful. "So, you've come seeking my council?" Ian asks.

"I wanted to ask you on your knowledge of the Sacred Gear."

"Other than what you already know?"

"Well, I wanted to ask your opinion on this situation. I'm uncertain. The Hero Faction is comprised of humans, I know I've killed magicians before, and humans isn't above what we do, but... on this scale?.

"That's... something new. Honestly, I personally would've gone in guns... swords blazing. However, now that I've seen how you go about things... I think a different strategy might be appropriate."

"Negotiation?" Daniel asks.

Daniel paces for a moment, Ian watching him for a moment as a small rock forms behind him and he takes a seat on it raising one leg and dangling the other off the rock. "Let me ask you something. After everything you've been through, Yuvel & Orina, Raynare... Loki. Do you still believe in this fight? Do you even want to continue fighting?"

Daniel takes a moment before answering. "Honestly? I don't know." He looks down and as he does the surrounding area goes from white to a cave as just outside of the cave is a storm. Ian looks outside while Daniel simply remains unmoved.

"You don't know? Come now, if you could retire and live a peaceful life, no war, no fighting, but that also means not getting involved with others fights."

"A state of neutrality...?"

"There you go, like Switzerland, or Sweden."

"Which war?"

"The World War."

"...Damnit, you knew what to push."

Ian coyly raises eyebrow while smirking. "So? Would you quit?"

Daniel looks up. "I'd fight."

"There you go kid. Now, you have my memories, and I share yours. Heh, I find it funny, my memories make me feel like a playboy filthy harem master. But, when I see you and your girlfriend... well, every single one of those relationships look and feel, like it's simply humans liking each other."

Daniel hums. "I never thought of it like that. I tend not to dwell on the memories of a past life."

"Whilst that may prove beneficial from a certain point of view, it may hinder in other ways."

"Kyoto was already destroyed by this time in your timeline."

"That is true, however, you can use that knowledge to your advantage. You already know what this city will look like destroyed because of my memories. I wish to know what Kyoto would look like without being destroyed."

Ian looks to Daniel before placing a finger to his forehead as to an observer it would appear that the pair became nothing but shadow a bright blue light passing from Ian to his other self.

"You have a heart of iron Daniel. However, your Balance Breaker... it's different from mine."

"Different from yours?"

"My Balance Breaker is your Dark Swordsman Armor. Your Balance Breaker is far stronger than my own. My Juggernaut Drive couldn't even compare to your Balance Breaker."

"My Balance Breaker... I barely can even use it, without losing control."

"I know. Einz... isn't the best teacher, nor is Asagi. But, you need to practice, you need to train you Balance Breaker. And I know one person who can help you... however, it'll require a trip, and that trip may cause us to be separated for a while."

"Separate us? How would that work?" Daniel asks.

"Well, if things don't go to plan, either I could be destroyed entirely, or..."

Daniel leans forward. "Or?"

"Or one of two other things. I gain control of your body, and you take my place in the subconsciousness..."

"Are you fucking kidding me?! No!"

"Let me-."

"That's far to risky!" Daniel shouts.

"I didn't finish!" Ian shouts. Daniel shuts up. "That, OR I gain my own body and we continue in separate bodies."

"However, we risk either losing you entirely or you taking my spot in my body."

"Yes, I see the risk, but, that's something that can be dealt with 'after' we deal with this silly Hero Faction."

"I'll contemplate it after all this Kyoto stuff."

"Also, be warned, the war won't take long to get started after this battle."

"I know... I'm counting on that."

Daniel opens his eyes in the real world as the swords vanish allowing him to sit on the roof again. When they do open he spots Tsubasa, Momo, Skylar, and Ame standing there discussing.

"Why did you want to be on the attack team as opposed to the defense team?" Momo asks.

"Momo, you... you weren't there when Loki attacked. I was, I saw him actually kill Daniel... he was dead... we got lucky, he came back, but there's no guarantee that he'll be safe this time, and I don't want to risk that happening again."

"So, you're afraid for him. He's lucky you know. To have someone as caring as you." Momo smiles to her friend.

"Hey, don't say it so loud. He's still meditating, and who knows if he can hear us."

"Master Star, is a very special person indeed." Skylar says.

"Yeah. He's brave and strong. And he never backs down, even when fighting gods, he'll always step up to the fight."

Skylar nods, adding to Ame. "Yes, it's what makes me afraid for him. And... that prophecy."

Ame scoffs. "Oh, come on. Loki was full of it. There's no way that Daniel will be the end of everything."

Tsubasa suddenly turns. "I'm sorry, what?"

"Master Star was granted a new title amongst the Greek gods for killing Loki."

Momo leans over. "And that is?"

Ame chuckles while answering. "He's known as the "End Father""

"You know I can hear y'all right? I've been here for a while now."

Tsubasa turns back. "Uh... how long?"

"Long enough to know why you wanted to be on the attack team. Skylar, Ame, you do know what team your on right?"

Ame sighs. "Defense. I hate it. I want to fight."

"Ame, you're on the defense because of your gear. And that you have experience against them means you'd be best suited as a last line of defense."

Ame nods. "Understood."

"Let's get moving. We should head out soon."

Tsubasa nods. "Within ten minutes."

Daniel kisses Tsubasa on the cheek. "Stay safe please."

Tsubasa reciprocates the kiss. "You too. I love-." She's interrupted by Issei opening the doors loudly.

"Hey, guys, we gotta go soon-!" He reads the room. "I'll be downstairs. Have fun." Issei slowly leaves, leaving the group in awkward silence.

Daniel shakes his head glancing to Tsubasa. "I love you too."

Daniel's POV

I walk down a hallway as Issei speaks with Kunou, me barely catching the tail end of the conversation. I walk forward as a purple haze surrounds us and I draw my throwaways. And look about, the same bridge as before. Glancing around the only one who's with me, Tsubasa and that's it.

Tsubasa readies to fight. "So, what's our play?"

"We'll slowly make our way to Nijo Castle." I say, drawing my sword.

She nods at me the pair of us slowly walking towards the castle. I sigh and twirl my sword while we continue walking to the castle. That is until a wall of light that shoots in front of us.

"Holy magic. Tsubasa stand back." I draw a single sword and shatter the wall standing behind it are Pauline along with Lei "We don't have to fight you know. Besides, what does the Chaos Brigade do for you fellow humans?"

"What we've always desired, power, knowledge, everything."

Pauline shrugs. "I just want a fight. Now come here and fight me." She raises two swords of light, to which I glance to Lei and see him step back him not having summoned his crown

"Is he gonna fight?" I ask.

"He won't. I will. So come at me, handsome."

"Yeah, gonna have to pass on the handsome, my girlfriends right behind me. Speaking of which, Tsubasa dear?"

Tsubasa answers slightly annoyed. "Yes?"

"Stay back. I've got this." She rolls her eyes as I turn back to the others and send back my swords. "Alright, I guess, I should test how strong you are. Fade to black. Black Mass." Drawing Black Mass I notice how it feels as though it's stronger.

I dodge to the side as Pauline goes for a slash aimed for my left side. I clash Black Mass against her blades and begin absorbing the holy energy as she jumps back and her cross lights up and blasts a beam of light magic at me that I absorb through my blade I take a few deep breaths after the blast stops noticing the amount of holy magic now in my system. Any more and I might've overflown in energy, well, nows a good as time as any to use that weapon. I feign a retreat as she rushes me leading to me grabbing her arm and kicking her off the bridge buying me a few moments of time. I never thought I'd need to use this much holy magic.

"Through fires & flame I burn bright, in the darkest pits of hell, I conquer all. May the holy light produced by my soul only be matched by the one true god, Light Sworn!" The blade summoned is a blade I rarely get to draw upon, as it requires large amounts of holy magic. It's a broadsword that absorbs holy magic and redirects it at any target of my choosing, whether that be a holy target or not is my choice.

"I know, you're not down yet, Pauline." She jumps up after firing a blast from her cross into the lake and then creates three walls behind me of light. She then attempts to punch me a pair of light made boxing gloves on her hands. I block and dodge using my blade to deal with the strikes as well as allowing her to waste her own energy. After a a few minutes of her being on the offensive I use the dull end of my blade and whack her across the face and as she turns back I slam the pommel in between her eyes rendering her unconscious. "That's one down."

I look up to Lei Biu as he sighs and stands to the side allowing us to pass. "You're... letting us pass?" I ask.

"I'm not a fighter. I simply make sure she stays alive. So long as you don't attempt to kill her, I won't get in your way."

"You're not bad. Get out of here... head to Hokkaido. Mount Yotei. The council of relics will be reconvene there at the start of the next year. I hope you show up to join us, "

Tsubasa walks past me as the pair of us make our way to Nijo castle, where upon arrival I notice Kiba, Saji and Rosseweisse along with the church trio arrive all at the same time.

"What? Issei still held up?" I ask.

Kiba nods. "Seems like it."

"I assume you're gonna wait for him?"

"Yeah. Without Rias here, you and him are the only ones who can lead us."

"That's fair. To a point. Fine, we'll await him and Kunou. Just, be ready to fight, and try not to die."

Kiba grins. "I should say that to you."

"Yes, after the Loki debacle, I guess that should be said my way."

We then glance over to Issei arriving a few minutes late but he made it. "Hey! Sorry it took so long."

Kiba shrugs. "No worries."

"You guy's okay?" Issei asks.

Asia & Irina nod. "Yes."

"Why wouldn't we be." Xenovia asks.

Tsubasa nods. "Perfectly fine."

He then glances to Rossweisse who's still suffering from drinking earlier.

"I'm glad to see Durandal has been returned already." I say.

"It's a modified Durandal."

The door opens to Nijo Castle gathering everyone's attention. I exhale all the breath I seem to have been holding and enter first leading the group.

Cao Cao grins. "Ah, look who finally made it to the party."

"Dude, stop with the shitty anime villain voice. It's bad... like, really fucking bad. You sound like that first boss in any RPG game who's so over the fucking top with their shitty, "Ah, so you finally arrived at my lair after defeating all of my minions" get over yourself."

Issei steps forward. "Where's the babe?"

I turn my head to Issei slowly after hearing his question and shake my head before turning back to Cao Cao. To our side two humans bring out an older looking woman however, somethings not right, her natural aura seems...

"Kunou! Don't get near her!" I order.

Cao Cao taps a rod against the roof he's on and she shrieks in pain as I don't wait and my sword is aimed for Cao Cao's head however it's blocked by only a few inches thanks to Siegfried.

"You again?" I scoff.

"We never did get to fight like I wanted."

"Your fight can wait. I won't let you bring Great Red to this reality."

Siegfried grins. "You've already guessed that far huh."

"Your plan is obvious for anyone with deep enough ties." I jump to the side as Nova fires a large beam using Durandal that makes a large crater. "Hey, Nova! You wouldn't mind if I made a copy of that blade in my gear would you?" I ask.

Xenovia glares. "Yes! I do mind!"

"Also, they're not dead."

"What?!" Xenovia asks.

"Take your pick. Siegfried is my target."

"I'd also like to fight your sword buddies." Siegfried says.

"Heh. Hey, Nova, you want in?"

Xenovia nods. "Of course."

Jeanne picks to fight with Irina & Kiba as Heracles chooses to fight Rossweisse & Tsubasa. Leaving Issei with Cao Cao.

"Saji, focus on the Fox. Asia, stay alive for Chisaki. Kunou, keep her safe." I sigh while speaking to Myself. "Fool Of a took."

[Ddraig: Welsh Dragon! Balance Breaker!]

"Right, go all out from the start everyone!"

I dash for Siegfried, Caliburn being summoned quickly as I very quietly do the enchantment for Excalibur while dueling him as Nova & I trade slashes and parries with him. He then backs off showing his balance breaker revealing six arms.

"Oh, wonderful. Guess I should've started with this. Nova, keep his attention for a moment, I need to prep this move."

I jump back and take a deep breath and feel the sting of wings spreading out of my back made of pure steel, using these wings I rise into the air my eyes close after Jeanne summons a dragon made of Holy Swords and the others continue their fights.

I speak quietly slowly building with each sentence. "I have conquered Life, my taste for Death was answered, Time bends to the whims of my blood, and Space cowers for fear of my anger. I shall create chaos to bring Order in every corner of the universe. I let go of the chains holding the past, and remove myself from any future. The present is a gift bestowed upon others, because I allow them to exist. Blade Master Balance Breaker! Armored Reality!" I notice the others all unconscious Issei standing around as Saji continues to attempt fighting Kunou's mother. "I'm sorry."

They all look to me, Cao Cao, Siegfried, Heracles, Jeanne. All of them see my aural glow, armor made of five crystals My left leg red, my right leg blue, my torso covered in green, my arms white, and then my helmet a dark black crystal I step forward as Issei creates a giant summoning circle. I walk forward with each step the ground shakes. Siegfried calls first dibs and I dodge his first strike and kick him with my right leg and he reverts to his most basic elements. Carbon, oxygen, the such. The others all look genuinely shocked by this however, I know that this form won't last long, and I have to be careful not to touch any of those I care for. Especially with time or death. Each crystal has its own thing. Blue will revert a being to their most basic components if I swing full force, red will teleport them somewhere of my choosing, green will change their perspective to follow my way of thinking, White will heal anyone back to full health even reviving the dead, and as for the black crystal armored helmet, that... will kill anyone. Even if they're only artificially alive. They will die and be removed from all existence. I look to Cao Cao as he throws his spear at me I catch it and smirk kicking it back at him he goes to grab it when it suddenly reappears inside Heracles chest impaling him. I turn back as Issei powers up massively. I then smirk and stomp down moving Siegfried & Heracles into Issei's blast whilst moving myself behind Jeanne as she turns to me I simply flick her healing her entirely causing her shock and I smirk.

"Wha-?" She then feels pain on her foot and notices the blue leg as she then turns to me wide eyed as she slowly turns into a kid. "What'd you do to me?!"

"I made you a kid. Now your body can't handle your Sacred Gear. You'll have to restart. Bye."

She then notices my red leg on her as well and she's suddenly teleported out of the area. I turn to Cao Cao and take a breath before the balance breaker ends. The crystals shatter and I grab my friends and watch Sun Wukong deal with Cao Cao. I smirk as he's only retrieved because others came from the Hero Faction to get him. With Siegfried dead and Jeanne gone his retreat only comes about due to the other person's interface. I turn back and grab a single kendo sword placing it against my waist looking to the Fox spirit as I stand next to Kunou. I then watch as the large fox turns into a large breasted woman. As Kunou cries into her. We then return to Kyoto station where Azazel awaits us. And she speaks to Azazel, Issei & I.

"Sir Azazel, Sir Daniel, Red Dragon Emperor as well as all of your friends and family. Words cannot express how grateful we are to you. We're in your debt. After your departure I have arranged to meet with the Great Victorious Fighting Buddha, and Lady Leviathan, but also Sir AJ Mankoi head of the Council of Relics. It is my sincerity wish to cooperate with everyone. So that Kyoto will never again be in a situation such as the one we found ourselves in last night."

Azazel sighs. "I'm right there with you. We'll all do our best."

Daniel nods. "Yes, seeing Kyoto in a bright manner is certainly going to be wonderful in the future."

Serafall giggles. "The Fox Yokai have offered me to show me around Kyoto a bit more before our meeting later. But I hope that the rest of you have a safe trip back. After all the trip doesn't end until everyone's home."

Kunou steps towards the pair. "Red Dragon Emperor, Sword Master!"

I turn back while chuckling. "You can call me Daniel."

"Uh, you can call me Issei, you know." His remark gets me to nudge him in the ribs.

Kunou nods, blushing slightly. "Okay. Um, will you come and visit us in Kyoto again?"

Issei nods. "Yeah. I'd love to."

"Of course. I think... I think I'll make it a yearly tradition. Starting this coming winter. Yeah."

Kunou smiles. "I'm so excited! And next time you can try mothers boiled tofu!"

I grin. "Yup." We then board the train and I relax and walk back to the room for the reps, I sit down and I'm followed by Tomoe first hugging me and then sitting across from me.

Tomoe grins. "So, how was your trip?"

I breath in tired. "Boring."

"What? Boring? How?!"

"I didn't get to go on a date with my girlfriend. That's what I wanted."

"Oh..." Tomoe looks down for a moment. "...but what about the fight surely that was fun."

I glance to Tsubasa, then back to Tomoe with a smirk. "Nope."

I then turn and spot Tsubasa and Momo walking in as Momo and I hug briefly when Tsubasa and I hug and share a kiss.

"You still sore?" I ask.

"After last night, I don't see how I wouldn't be." Tsubasa grins.

"Get a room." Momo deadpans.

"We didn't do that... again." I tease.

"Wait..." Momo has a sudden realization. "...again?!"

I laugh and Tsubasa shakes her head with a smile as Momo and Tomoe begin pestering her and I about it. This... this is what I like.

Asagi is seated in an ancient Egyptian library as he closes a book.

"So... Nephrites Amten."

Tsubasa glances around as she and Daniel walk through a small set of ruins. "Daniel. Where are we going?"

"Well... after everything that's happened, I figured I'd like to go someplace quiet. And I figured, if I'm going to go somewhere like this, I wanted to spend it with someone. And only one person came to mind when I had this idea... can you guess who?"

Tsubasa blushes. "Me?"

"That, is the correct answer. Ah, here we are."

"This place looks like ruins... of an ancient civilization, why here?"

"This place... holds significance to me specifically... I'm sure you can guess why."

"Is it an old base?"

Daniel smiles. "Some would call it that."

I walked over to a moss covered wall and placed a hand against it, doing so burning away the moss. As it clears it reveals it's a monument. A memorial to those who've died in battle. This... is where Ian said to go.

"Tsubasa... this, is the ruins of the Star Clan. There are several ancient clans of the supernatural that persist to this day, however, some of those clans are on the brink of extinction. The Star's being among them. Every time a member of the clan dies, a descendant even, their name appears on this wall. There should be my name on here, as well as Ian's."

"Why bring me here? Shouldn't Lucy or some of the others know about this place?"

"In time I plan to bring all of them here... but for now, I wish to bring the woman I love the most first. I have... a confession to make."

Tsubasa glances to him concerned. "Daniel?"

"I plan to undergo an adventure, however the time I'd have to go is nearly here... and I'd have to start and end that adventure... here."

Tsubasa approaches. "Okay, and?"

"This trip... I'll be gone for potentially years... I plan to do this soon... I wanted to tell you first. "

"And what is this trip about?"

Daniel looks to the wall seeing Ian's name followed by his own next to it. "If this trip goes as planned, Ian and I will be separated. He will gain his own body and be free of mine... however... there's the risk that his consciousness will take over where mine currently resides."

Tsubasa turns to Daniel wide eyed. "What?!"

"Yeah." Daniel looks down.

"It's too risky. What if you don't come back?"

Daniel smiles. "Heh. I figured you'd say that. It's what I told him... however... if we don't do this... it's likely I'll meet a similar end to him. If I don't then I'll only have one more year to live."

Tsubasa looks down. "Only a year to live."

"Don't worry, I won't be too far. But... I'll be transferring schools for the next trimester."

"Maybe I can go with you?" Tsubasa says in a panic.

"Unfortunately not. I've already asked Sona about you coming with and she declined. However, I will be joined by some of the group. Skylar & Alan will be going with me to Honnouji Academy."

Tsubasa sighs. "I see."

"Well, this is goodbye for now. But you know I'll be back."

Tsubasa smiles softly. "Yeah... Love ya."

Daniel smiles and turns to Tsubasa. "Love ya, too." The two hug and spend the rest of the night together as Daniel packs a few months worth of stuff to take with him.

This is my last day in Kuoh... for now at least I will be headed to Honnouji Academy.
