The following morning I awaken in bed with Tsubasa, I smile seeing her sleeping in my arms. I give her a kiss on the cheek and sneak out of bed. The trip begins tomorrow, and I should make sure we're all ready. I quickly get dressed. School today, trip tomorrow. It's a bright sunny day, we've already passed the sports trials, fairly easy wins for us.

"Sir Daniel. Your presence has been requested for by sir Azazel." Skylar informs me as I exit my room.

"Sky, you don't need to call me sir. And please don't call Azzy, sir."

Skylar bows. "My apologies."

"You don't need to apologize. Shall we head off?.

After getting everyone up and ready for school, Skylar and I leave early, headed towards the ORC where waiting for us is Azazel.

"You rang, Azzy?" I ask entering through the window.

"How many times do I have to tell you to stop calling me that?" He complains.

"You know I won't."

"Ugh, shut up and listen. I got a report from Asagi recently."

Azazel slides a paper out from under a desk. "Relic or Chaos." I ask.

Azazel remains serious. "Read the report."

I grab the paper and skim through the report grabbing the key details. He's made contact with the Egyptian gods and is currently going through their libraries and information on Jackal.

"So there's currently no known way to remove Jackal."

"Yes. Tell me, how do you see this playing out?" Azazel asks.

"Poorly. Other than the older generations, no ones ready. But, that's because the word hasn't been spread far enough raising the warning flags. And those who see it don't believe it until it's far too late."

Azazel nods. "I agree. Well, that's about it."

"You seriously called me just for that?"

Azazel grins. "Yup."

"Of course you did."

Cut to a purple field. 3rd Point of View

A figure walks towards a being laying in the flowers nearby two more people play with the flowers and each other laughing and smiling.

"Shalba has now fallen, and Vali will hardly make it to the top. What are your thoughts? Should the Hero Faction make a move soon?"

"No."

"You do realize we will have to make a move at some point. The all powerful Sacred Gear within you will not be patient much longer."

"The True Longinus. Will this spear lead me to domination... or something else?"

Another person stares in boredom, humming. "Neat."

Cut back to Daniel now sitting in class Daniel POV)

I'm tired & bored... it's strange, I thought having Rossweisse as a teacher would make her less boring... well at least she doesn't try to throw deadly rulers at students... what were they thinking allowing Achilles to become our history teacher. It's a shame they won't be back until after the trip. Chisaki actually really wants to go to Kyoto. Oh, well, shame on him. He and Crystia are still in Heaven purifying his wings. Alan's team got bogged down in an assault yesterday on one of the last holdouts of the traitors in the Mayan mythology. Nova, Irina & Asia have been hanging with Aika, so that was beneficial, I had Ame join that group as her open nature made her natural friends with Aika. She's keeping tags on the girl you could say. Skylar has been attempting to make sure I know every route and the location of every restaurant for the trip. I meanwhile, simply plan to relax as the trip is happening. They asked me on where I'd like to visit, and honestly... there was only one place...

"You want to go to the Fushimi Inari Taisha?" Aika asks.

"Yeah. It's a place of religious & cultural significance in Kyoto. And if you paid attention last year when I joined the class, I said I enjoyed studying history, both religious history and cultural history above all."

"I just never took you for the type of guy to choose a religious building for the school trip. I figured you would've said some famous restaurant, or something like that."

"No, that's far too simple, even then, there's only one other place I can think of."

Aika glances down interested. "And that is?"

"Nijo Castle."

"Alright then, anywhere else?"

I hum slightly, thinking about Kyoto. "Oh, I've got one, Kiyomizu-dera Temple."

"You really just want to visit religious sights don't you?"

I chuckle, responding to her slight grin. "Yup."

"Alright, I'll add them to the idea pool."

Yeah, that was her conversation with me in a nutshell. She seems normal, however, she also seems to be playing at something more. That was yesterday, and today many of the ORC went with Rias to meet with her family before the trip to Kyoto, I however, wasn't allowed, as Skylar wanted to make sure I was packed and ready to go on the trip.

"Master Daniel. You can't expect me to do everything while you go off gallivanting with lady Rias."

I turn to her, slightly confused. "Gallivanting?"

"Sir Daniel, you must learn to be responsible and take trips of importance with respect and honor. You simply cannot show up late to every important meeting and summit. Think of how that will tarnish your family name."

"Sky, please. I'm not blowing any of this off. If I wanted to blow it off, I would've left by now, to help Asagi in his research. You forget, I didn't want to go to the meeting with Odin, I went because of intel from Einz."

"You planned not to attend an important meeting instead parading in this house by yourself?"

"Not exactly." I rub the back of my head as Skylar grabs me by my ears dragging me to my room.

"I shall not tolerate master insisting on lazing about and not taking anything seriously. You will pack up before we leave tomorrow. And I will not take any orders or no for an answer."

I try to speak some sense into her whilst in pain from her pulling me by my ear! "Okay, okay, just let go of my ear damnit." I then feel it, something I definitely remember. "Issei's in his balance breaker? Against... son of a-!"

Skylar glares at me. "You are not leaving."

She prevents me from using a glyph to watch Issei take on Sairaorg. She throws me into the room and stands at the door watching me as I grab my suit case. Slowly and very painfully deliberately I chose clothes and place them in the suitcase in a messy manner whilst never breaking eye contact with Skylar. I watch her face start as strict and mother-like turn to annoyance, and then outright frustration with how I'm packing, once I finish I close the suitcase and smile as she takes a breath and her look softens I feel her hold on my magic soften and I quickly break through teleporting away only to find that I was to late and the fight is over.

"God damn it!" I complain. Everyone turns to see me in all my frustration.

"Ah, the other one I wanted to fight." Sairorg grins.

"What are you doing here shouldn't you be packing?" Xenovia asks.

"Already finished. And if you wanna fight, I'll happily jump in." I grin.

Sir Zechs steps forward. "Sadly we don't have anymore time for fighting."

I glance to Zechs until I look to Sairaorg who shrugs and offers a handshake. I comply and shake his hand before teleporting myself back to the mansion where afterwards I'm berated by Skylar for leaving the way I did. Well, just another day for me I guess.

Today's the day.

"Master, I hope you have everything you need, even if it's packed so crudely."

"I'm not master while we're at school Skylar, I'm simply Daniel. Anyway, say your goodbyes to Rias and Co. I already have and I'll meet you all on the train." I walk away from the group and as we approach I spot one of my favorite girls and hurry up to her. I silently place my arm over her shoulder and walk in with her.

"So, you excited for the trip Tsubasa? Or are you excited to have like... two days without Sona or Rias to get between us?"

Tsubasa chuckles slightly, smiling before giving me a peck on the lips. "I'll admit, it'll be nice to spend time with you again. Sort of like being on a date together."

"I've been meaning to ask you on another one."

"I'm sure we'll have the chance to."

I smile at her and offer her a seat and join her afterwards. We sit next to each other discussing how our classes have been, Lucy and other stuff however, I'm unexpectedly stopped mid-sentence by a hug from another member of the student council Tomoe Meguri. She breaks the hug as Tsubasa pulls me back into her arms as she takes a seat in front of us with Momo.  Sadly, Tsubasa, Momo & I we're amongst the leaders for our classes so we got to sit in a special seat. Tomoe being one of the student council is also here thanks to her connections with these ladies.

Tomoe grins leaning forward. "So, The Sword Master. You must have some good stories."

"Indeed I do. However, I'm more curious as to why the class leaders got to sit in nearly first class?"

"Rias was hoping Kiba would win out as class leader and wanted to do something nice for him. However, Momo won out in Class 2B. I managed to take the spot for Class 2C." Tsubasa explains.

I hum leaning back. "And I begrudgingly hold the seat for Class 2A."

Tomoe tilts her head confused. "Begrudgingly?"

"Yup. Aika was done being class rep, so she gave up her spot. When deciding the next rep, Chisaki threw my name in and well, here I am."

"You seem to enjoy coasting by and being free of responsibility." Momo says.

"I've got more than enough on my plate. Honestly, first chance I get, I'm gonna spend a week at home and do basically nothing but play games and that's about it."

"Really, you're not gonna practice, or even hang out with your friends."

"I live with most of my friends and two teachers. Any chance I can get to be a normal human, I will happily take. Besides, it's not like I get those chances, as Loki so dramatically pointed out by blowing up the club." I sigh and lay my head on Tsubasa's shoulder closing my eyes however that's all I do when I hear a voice nearby.

"Master Daniel, there's a commotion in our compartment. It seems Issei & his friends are chanting..." she takes a moment to compose herself while sighing. ""Porno Party.""

My eyes snap open and I glance to her. She seems to get the memo and takes a step back as I swiftly rise from my seat and make my way to my class. When the door opens everyone goes quiet except for Issei's group still chanting. That is until they hear my knuckles cracking while I approach them. Issei is the first to quiet down as he backs away slowly. The other two meanwhile...

"Why you backing off bro?" Matsuda asks.

"Yeah, man we had a thing going."

Issei looks behind them terrified. "Um...?"

"So, you wanna tell them, or should I?"

The speed in which they pale after hearing my voice is actually amusing as Issei returns to his seat and looks down twiddling his thumb. I glance to the seat next to them seeing Maruyama and Katase.

"Ladies, did you happen to bring one of your kendo swords?"

Maruyama nods. "Yes, I did!" She produces the sword from her bag and swiftly places it in my hand. My smile grows more and more sinister as I stare at the perverts. Xenovia covers Asia's eyes as Skylar returns to the room while Irina watches me as I whack the weapon against their heads repeatedly knocking them back into their seats.  I then turn to Issei and slowly make my way towards him when...

"Please don't!" Irina cries out. She stands in front of me as I was twirling the stick in my hand.

Sighing, I nod. "Fine." I toss the stick to Maruyama. "Here's your stick." I turn to Issei. "I'm putting you, in charge of controlling them, if they get out of line I'm taking it out on you, Hyodo."

Issei nods fiercely, scared. "Yes, sir!"

I make my way back and just as I'm about to get comfortable and lay my head on Tsubasa's shoulder again the train informs us that we're at Kyoto.

Tsubasa chuckles. "Sorry hun, but you won't get to be comfortable for a while now."

"No, I have to walk them all to the hotel. Alright. I'm off." I kiss Tsubasa on the cheek, and grin. "A quick kiss for luck." I hurry off leaving the three behind and exit the train rejoining my class.

"So deputy, what'd I miss?" I ask.

Aika sighs. "Motohama tried to hard for a joke, and we're just about to head to the hotel."

"I'm curious how they'll react to it."

Aika hums. "Probably like idiots."

"Hah. You're not wrong."

We all walk to the hotel as a large group. I stay ahead of the group with my deputy rep, Aika, right next to me. It's strange the closer I get to her the more she seems to restrain something. It's odd. When we arrive three individuals stand in front of us, two of them in suits the last on well, I figured he wouldn't wear a suit.

Azazel smiles. "Okay, listen up everyone. Miss Rossweisse & Mr. Patel have an announcement."

"What they're engaged?" I snort.

Patel glares. "No. not that Star."

Rossweisse sighs. "Thanks, Azazel. The hundred yen shop is located underneath Kyoto Station! Go forth and save yourself some money!"

Achilles laughs. "Also, stay out of trouble if you can. She's just gonna keep going so you can start making your way to your rooms if you want now."

"Hold on. Before we go, a fair warning to anyone who has bad ideas. The class reps, teachers & deputies will be serving as hall monitors. Anyone caught causing trouble will be dealt with harshly. Especially if your caught by me." I warn. Issei & his friends all gulp waddling to their rooms. I sigh placing a hand on my neck.

"Wow, you instilled fear into each and every male there with barely a few sentences." Aika says.

"Thank god for Pavlov." I mutter.

Aika turns to me. "Pavlov?"

"Don't worry about it." I rub my neck.

I make my way to my room to find it actually better than I thought. Though, Issei's room is a great way to laugh. He and his friends are on the far side away from the stairs & elevators. I am directly next to them. Well, we have free time all afternoon. And unfortunately, Issei stays around my crew so that means I'm stuck with his pervs. But... that also keeps Aika around, which allows me to keep an eye on her. It's strange as we approach Fushimi Inari Taisha I get the feeling of being watched though it's strange, it seems as though Issei and I have been watched since we arrived in Kyoto. And not by friendly forces. Issei rushes forward, and the girls seemed surprised, but it seems he noticed it. I sigh, following him staying just far enough that he won't notice me.

I glance around a wall and stand next to him when I hear a voice behind me.

"You are not from Kyoto." Many people surround us as I stay calm and Issei tries to be himself.

"Fox masks?" I wonder.

A small girl then jumps out on front of us as Issei backs up.

"A Fox spirit?" I mutter.

"Stupid outsider! How dare you! You'd better return mother to me right now." She orders, herself a young child.

"Hyodo! Get out now! I'll be the diversion." I order. I summon one of my swords and get into a defensive stance.

"Huh? What are you talking about? I don't know your mom, and I definitely don't know where she is!" Issei says.

"Even if we did. Attacking us wouldn't get answers."

"Filthy liars! I'll teach you to try and deceive me!" She sends two of her flying allies our way as I quickly block its attack kicking it aside and jump above the second one and kick it into the ground and away. The masked individuals then charge and I counter attack after attack blocking or punching and kicking away the foes. Issei attempts to run as everyone arrives. I glance to each of them.

"Nova, Irina, Asia, go back up Issei. Ame stay back, Skylar, only defend, don't kill."

She growls and looks to me. "Listen here, vile outsiders! We will retreat for now, but you will return my mother!" She vanishes and I take a deep breath glancing about as Issei and the others return.

"What was that about?" Issei asks.

"We should report this to Azazel & Rossweisse."

Later, Issei and I sit next to Azazel.

"I wonder why they would attack you at the shrine?" Azazel ponders.

"No idea, but I wish I knew the answer. Do you think we should report all this to the president?" Issei asks.

"We don't have all the info we need before sending a report. However, Azazel, I believe we should report something for now. Alright, let's head to bed, I... need to do hall monitoring."

A few hours later I sit on the stairs with Tsubasa and it's nice to just sit and talk with her more often.

"While I may be a night owl, hall monitor isn't exactly my preferred job." She says with a frown.

"Yeah, but we do have idiots like Issei & his friends here. They're going to need more guards than usual. Rossweisse, Patel & Azazel wont be enough, considering those three & others. Having all the reps & their deputies is meant to make them more responsible."

Tsubasa smiles. "Isn't that what you were trying to avoid?"

"Yeah." I chuckle. We both stop and look down hearing a mini blast, and what sounds like Rossweisse & Issei.

"Stay here, make sure Aika & the others don't come down." I say already marching down the stairs.

"No way, are your attacks actually stronger than usual?" Rossweisse says confused.

"You don't get it, if I could just see my female classmates super droopers, only then will I have fulfilled my true destiny as a man."

"Come on, you see and touch Rias & Akeno's naked bodies every single day. Isn't that enough for you?" Rossweisse asks.

"Don't doubt a perverts over-confidence." I say standing at the next bend above the pair.

I dash forward the pair of us dodge & block attacks, or rather Issei is avoiding my strikes and I block his fairly easily and jump back higher on the steps as Issei looks up at me.

"Its over, Issei! I have the high ground."

"You underestimate my pervy power."

"Don't try it."

Issei jumps forward attempting to leap above me I growl and take a step back and wack him with the a metal pole in the head and throw him down. I nod to Rossweisse and signal her to back up. I turn back to Issei and grab one of his arms and drag him back to his room. Motohama and Matsuda spot me as I drag him and point to hall monitor Aika standing at the door. I then drag Issei into his room and grab his second arm and stomp on his head. Making sure he's unconscious. Exiting the room I grab the perverted duo and throw them onto their rooms.

"So, why's he all bloody?" Azazel asks.

I hum. "He tried being a perv with me around. You knew I wouldn't be nice. Anything you need?"

"I'm supposed to bring all the teams. As requested by the devil queen."

I groan, knowing exactly who's being referred to here. "I forgot she was here."

We all get to the meeting. Taking a seat next to Tsubasa I await the arrival of Issei by chatting with Tsubasa, Momo, Saji, and Tomoe.

Serafall engages the conversation. "I'm here on official business, but I decided to come and say hi."

"Official business?"

"Yes, but I've come across a problem."

I lean forward. "What problems?"

"Well, The leader of the Kyoto Yokai has disappeared. More specifically, she's a nine-tailed fox who's missing."

Issei's eyes widen. "Wait a minute..."

"Then by that logic, the attack at the Fushimi Shrine must've been about that." I mutter.

Saji grins. "Sounds like I missed out on a good time today."

"Azazel filled me in earlier, and I believe that's what happened. This news doesn't bode well for us."

"It seems to me like someone's trying to frame us. More than likely it's a Chaos Brigade Attack. And this being a school trip means it'll be tough to stay vigilant without alarming the students. We'd need some way to separate our battles & faces away from the students..

"There are other Yokai here in Kyoto willing to help us. If we utilize those contacts, then we may be able to do something." Serafall informs us.

Achilles nods. "Sounds like a start."

"Okay, so, what should we do?" Issei asks.

"For right now try and enjoy your school trip." Azazel says with a relaxing smile.

"Huh? Seriously?"

"Hey, Numb-Nuts we need to seem as though nothing's wrong. That way no one will be curious and dig in to what we're up to. This is something the adults should worry about, not us."

"Well, baring you Daniel." Azazel says nonchalantly.

"Yeah, I figured. Being a leader doesn't exactly mean I get to relax like the others do."

Serafall raises the mood by telling us all to dig in, which we do having small talk in the middle of eating.  This... has gotten far more interesting than I hoped it would.

'The Yokai have been attacked. Though, I wonder... which group was it that attacked them? Asagi never mentioned them in his known plans. So it can't be a Jackal plan. That leaves Vali & his team or the Hero Faction. Funny considering their name.' My thoughts are interrupted by a knocking at the door. I look back seeing Skylar enter followed by Asia and Ame.

"Sir, our scouting mission came with no results. No sign of the Chaos Brigade or the Hero Faction. However, we found this while out on patrol, it is leaking with holy energy."

She extends a single thorn, however from the way the thorn is covered in red and the red has seemed as though it was a liquid that dried recently...

"So, they're here." I say.

"They?"

"Ame, you were with Alan. You should recognize this."

Ame speaks, realizing it herself. "Knowledge."

"Exactly. The wielder for the Relic of Knowledge has sided with the enemy. Meaning, whoever they are associated with probably took the Yokai's leader."

"Also in other news Issei and his friends are training on the roof. "

"I assume that's where Nova is?"

Skylar nods. "Yes, Sir."

"I see. Alright, I'll send Cinnamon into the city to look about. Have fun today you three."

"Master, it is not wise to keep yourself locked away in this building. Please, I implore you to come and enjoy the city."

"I'm not planning to stay here, ya know. I'm actually waiting for Tsubasa, we made plans to get lunch together."

Skylar nods. "Oh... well have a nice day, sir." She exits the room allowing for me to finally release my breath. 'In all honesty, this trip for me was a way to spend time with Tsubasa, but the Brigade potentially being involved hasn't made it impossible, just very difficult for me to relax and rest easy.' I open the door to my wardrobe. Removing the purple jacket and dress clothes and replacing it with something more casual, a black band shirt, and a red and white over shirt,  a pair of black jeans and some sneakers. Not a normal date attire, but we didn't plan for a fancy day on the town, even then we planned today knowing full well we may be attacked.

"Hey, Daniel? Are you in there?"

I turn towards her away from the window smiling as she peers in. Opening the door I'm met with her stunning figure in a dark blue jeans, a nice shirt with a black jacket over it all perfectly amplifying her blue hair.

"Hey, blue." I grin.

Tsubasa chuckles. "Red."

We smile at each other and exchange a quick kiss and walk out of the building hand in hand. We take a sight seeing trip on our way to the restaurant, seeing some places both of us wanted to see. We mostly wander from temple to temple enjoying ourselves, however, our plan is ruined when I notice Issei & Nova appear as larger magical presences than usual.

Tsubasa glances over. "You sensed it?"

"Damn it, yeah I did. Wait don't move."

She and I stop as an arrow comes flying our way however it's blocked by a torrent of red and what looks like eyes. Staring directly at them a face forms in front of us, Patel.

"Hey, kid. Azazel wants to see you. I've been sent to gather you."

"Damn it, had to be now. Sorry blue guess today ain't happening."

"No, it's fine, this was what we anticipated would happen. I'll simply join you."

I wrap my arm around her. "That's fine by me."

Patel rolls his many eyes. "Yeah, let's go."

We make our way peacefully to one of the shrines where as we approach we reunite with Issei and the others.

"Oh, they're here." Azazel says sarcastically. "Late as usual Daniel."

"I was planning on having a date today, but then this happened."

Serafall nods. "So glad you all could make it."

Issei raises a brow. "Azazel? Lady Leviathan?"

Patel glances to Rossweisse. "You did tell them Azazel sent you right?"

Rossweisse shrinks under his gaze. "Yes...?"

"So, what's going on?"

"We brought them as you requested." The young girl approaches as an older Fox woman speaks to her.

"You again?" Issei and I both ask, himself puzzled, I however, am annoyed.

"Greetings. I lead the Yokai who live within the shadows of Kyoto. I'm the daughter of Yasaka. My name's Kunou. Please forgive my rash behavior. I wasn't thinking straight when I attacked you yesterday."

"Oh yeah, I'm sure that'll hold up in court."

"Yeah, Okay Marlowe. Why don't we pump the breaks a bit." Tsubasa counters.

"Wait you can quote them to?" A smile forms.

"Is it that surprising I watch anime & parodies?"

"Thinking back, no it's not. But... it's working."

Issei speaks to Kunou behind our quick back & forth and I only turn back seeing him squaring in front of her. And then being led to a room in all honesty I blow over most of the talking thinking of Lucy & Crystia. That is until Serafall begins explaining everything.

"Okay, So here are the current details of the situation. A few days ago, Yasaka, Kunou's mother and the revered leader of the Yokai, left to meet up with Sakura who's a servant of mount Meru. Unfortunately we've been informed that Yasaka never made it to the meeting. The Yokai conducted an investigation regarding her disappearance, and they determined that Yasaka must've been kidnapped by an unknown party. So they decided to search all over Kyoto for any suspicious people which eventually led them to Dan-Dan's tour group resulting in yesterday's attack." Serafall explains

"Dan-Dan?" I mutter.

"That's when Lady Leviathan and I came to speak to the Yokai. We explained that the underworld was not involved with Princess Yasaka. In fact judging from the method & various intel, we believe that more than likely the culprits may be the Hero Faction of the Chaos Brigade."

"That's a Faction made of humans with rare and powerful Sacred Gears." I add.

One of the beings in the room, shows an image, a painting of this Yasaka woman and Issei does his normal pervert thing, however, I make sure to memorize every detail as to keep my eyes peeled summoning Cinnabon to my shoulder quickly filling her in so she can memorize the painting as well. The last bit of info is that Kunou as an apology offered to be our tour guide for Kyoto. 'Oh, it just had to be an escort mission, didn't it.' After the meeting we're taken back to the hotel, and after a quick scouting thanks to Aika who was hanging out with Ame all day, I found out the perverts had a peep hole. It's fixed now, but they had a peep hole. As of now I'm seated in my room on my chair as Issei, Asia, Nova, Tsubasa, Skylar & Irina are all seated around a large table stationed in my room.

"Hey, Issei." I say with a grin. Directly to my left is this poor fool. "Draw four."

He slumps into his chair as Tsubasa tosses four cards into his already spiraling hand. When the door slams open.

"What indecent things are you kids doing...?" Rossweisse starts powerfully, but petters out by the end.

"Oh, Hey Rossweisse! Wanna join us in a game of Uno? Issei's already losing hardcore. Oh and Issei, Here's a card made specifically for you! Stop being a pervert for the rest of the trip or draw 25."

Issei feigns an attack being made on his heart. "Gah!" His hand soon then fills with twenty-five more cards.

The following day they have the super league stick together, Tsubasa being allowed to explore more as she's basically the student councils ear on the ground. And she's keeping with me. Aika approaches and asks if we're waiting for someone.

"In fact the person we're waiting on has just arrived." I grin.

Kunou arrives bowing. "Sorry, I'm late."

"No problem."

Aika takes a liking to her immediately, waking away the perverts bringing a grin to my face as Issei glances at me I lean in towards him and whisper in his ear approvingly. "I like her."

"Wait, you mean...?"

"She's better than your friends."

Kunou then leads us throughout the city as Tsubasa and I remain at the side of the group. Enjoying each other's presence while Xenovia, Irina, and Asia take in the sight seeing. She brings us to lunch to eat boiled tofu, and oh, have I mentioned that I love tofu? Tsubasa while a bit begrudgingly, as she actually really likes meat, actually decided to eat some after I promise to take her to a stakehouse in the future. As we're walking I we run into a Kiba and eventually Azazel, Patel & Rossweisse at a bar.

"A bit early don'tya think, boys?"

Achilles laughs. "Sweetheart, if you ever want to see a worker of Hellsing at full potential, let them drink. The stories and adventures you'll have when drunk are so much better than when we're sober."

I hum. "Sadly, he's not wrong."

Rossweisse turns to me stunned. "You've had alcohol before?"

"I mean, I was with Alucard & both of the brothers. Then again..."

"Star! Why's the rum gone?!" Achilles shouts.

"That wasn't me!" I retort annoyed,

"Whatever, besides, relaxing and drinking go hand in hand. Maybe that's why I'm the only male who constantly talks with you."

Rossweisse pouts. "How dare you! Let me show you how to drink little man!"

"Wait no! That's Jägermeister!" Patel warns her.

Rossweisse doesn't stand a chance as she's immediately hammered and Patel speaks lowly to himself in German, but... I'm lucky to have met him when I was relatively young and could still learn languages easily.

"Oh, diese arme Frau. Sie hatte nie eine Chance."

"Was hast du erwartet, sie gegen den Drink zu stellen?"

"Ja, das liegt an ihr, weil sie meinen Drink genommen hat."

"Little extreme to be drinking jägermeister this early."

Patel sighs. "I'll deal with her. Go, now."

We all hurry out as Patel downs a glass and asks for another. And while walking over a bridge the entire area seems to go dark purple fog rises.

"Dimension lost...?" I mutter, why use this spell.

Azazel then lands next to us. Glancing around I notice Aika, as well as the rest of the normal individuals aren't around either. However, Skylar isn't here either. This bodes poorly. We watch as a person launches a blast from a lance that powers through Azazel.

Cao Cao grins. "Oops my bad. Guess that was rude, huh? Sorry. Hello, Red Dragon."

Pauline Göring steps forward. "It was a bit rude. Oh, and looks, Lei, it's Ame!"

Ame glares at the two. "Cross & Knowledge."

"Two of the Relics...?" I say quietly, stepping forward.

Lei Biu stares me down. "The Sword Master."

Oh, wonderful. Azazel's gone, Issei has a new foe, and I've been targeted by Knowledge & Cross.

"Be careful, Knowledge is a very powerful spellcaster!" Ame warns.

"Of course they are."

"You can call me Cao Cao. I'm a descendant of Cao Cao of the three kingdoms. Not to brag."

"I'm Lei Biu, descendant of Liu Bei from the Three Kingdoms era. I also posses the Holy Relic Of Forbidden Knowledge."

"And I'm Pauline Göring. Descended of Hermann Göring. And I am the holder of the Holy Relic God's Cross."

"Wait, Hermann Göring? The Supreme Commander of the Luftwaffe for the 3rd Reich? That Hermann Göring?"

Pauline nods. "Ja."

"Oh, ist das nicht ironisch? Eine Heilige Reliquie in den Händen der Nachkommen der Nazi–Kommandeur."

"Sprichst du auch Deutsch? Und glaub mir, die Ironie geht nicht verloren, wenn ich ein Reliktbenutzer werde."

Ame glances between the two of us. "Uh, what?"

"Oh, sorry, just kinda excited to meet someone else who speaks German that isn't Patel." I look around noticing laser blast being shot at us. I snap my finger as a wall of metal forms around each of the monsters and they explode killing themselves.

"Meine Fräulein, es scheint, als müssten wir dieses Gespräch ein andermal beenden. As I'm gonna have to deal with your buddies first."

Siegfried steps forward. "Sword Master. If I may, I'd like to test something."

"Well, Azazel's fighting Cao Cao, the Relic users seem like they want nothing to do with this fight, and your summoners out of commission and his summonings are already being dealt with. So, what's your deal?"

"Demonic Emperor Sword Gram. As the most powerful demon sword, it can take on any blade without difficulty. And then there's Balmung & Notung. Which are also legendary swords. Last but not least, this is Twice Critical. The Dragons Hand. And if you think that's bad, I haven't even activated my balance breaker."

I chuckle stepping forward. "So, you hold the strongest demonic weapon. I hold the strongest Holy Weapons ever made. Caliburn!" Caliburn is summoned immediately to my hand and then I close my eyes for a moment knowing he won't attack as I address everyone else. "Stay away from Siegfried. I wish to test his swords... and my own."

"Please don't disappoint Sword Master!"

"Excalibur!" The blade of legend appears from a bright light, causing everyone to at least have to squint if not cover their eyes completely. "Before we begin." I turn to Cao Cao. "Cao Cao. Please, I do wonder, being a human still. What is it that the Hero Faction wants?"

"I doubt you'd understand, considering who you side with, but our mission is simple. We merely want to test our limits, and see how far we can go as humans."

"Actually, I get that entirely. However, I can do so without abandoning those who helped me get here."

We watch as a large creature rises from the river beneath us. I growl and look to Siegfried.

"I can't fool around anymore. If Gogmagog is here I can't toy around with you. But how is it here?"

Before I can continue a small girl riding a broom floats next to me. "Whats up. My name's Le Fay Pendragon. I'm on Lord Vali's team. Nice to meet ya! He was like! "Give them a message!" And Kuroka told me to send her regards to the Sword Master, who might that be."

I quietly mutter to myself. "Just ignore her Daniel. You have shit to do."

I jump back as Gogmagog attacks Cao Cao as Tsubasa and the others all stand back weapons drawn and Azazel floats above the group. She then floats down and informs Issei that she's a fan of him? 'That's weird, she's weird and I don't like it.' We then watch as Rossweisse launches a giant attack on Cao Cao. As they prepare to leave I remove my gear and return to reality.

"What happened?" Skylar asks.

"The Hero Faction. Nijo Castle... Damn. Tsubasa, this may be bloody."

"What you want me to stay back?" She asks.

"Not exactly. I was gonna ask that you inform Patel for me. I need to call up a friend."

That night as they discuss the battle plan to Issei's team and Tsubasa's, I stand on the roof of the hotel. And make a quick call.

"Pick up, dumbasses." I mutter.

The first one picks up. "Yo, Star, what's up?" Asagi says.

"You got time to kill?"

"Not exactly, is it Jackal?"

"No. it's the Hero Faction."

Asagi hums. "Cao Cao, Huh."

"Siegfried, Lei Biu, & Pauline Göring."

Asagi sighs. "I'd love to but, I think I'm just about to find out Jackal's true identity."

"That's fine then. Later mate."

"See ya." Asagi ends the call and I immediately ring up the next person. Who answers quickly.

"You busy?" I ask.

"Uh, define busy?"

"Are you doing anything tonight?" I ask.

Einz takes a moment before responding. "Is this a booty call?"

"Einz!"

"No, I'm not. What is it?"

"Nijo Castle. Hero Faction. You in or out?"

"Out. Cao Cao isn't my target, even then, I've taken a liking Pauline."

I scoff. "Had to be the German."

"Sorrey." You Canadian motherfucker. He then ends the call leaving me one last person.

Cut to a person standing with a team of two. The first with long white hair standing in front of the others as behind him are two males with black wings & green hair.

"Sir. Should we move on? They abandoned the Iberian Peninsula to us a few days ago. There aren't anymore hold out forts. We really should attempt to help the Mayan's or Persian's."

Asriel shakes his head. "No, there's a few hold outs. And they'll lead us to Jackal, Time & Style."

"Sir, even if they did, the Fallen Have taken far to large of hit in this series of attacks. We're only the recon unit sir."

"I'm well aware of that, Lerajie. However, if you do wish to become the man after Azazel retires, you'll need to learn how he handles large scale threats."

Alibaster scoffs. "By not."

"False. He handles them by sending in me."

"And what of when you get old sir?" Lerajie asks.

"Then you better hope you find the next host of Temporary Ascension before Heaven does."

Lerajie hums. "I see."

Asriel then looks to his phone and answers it.

"Nijo Castle, Kyoto Japan, In about two hours or so. Can you make it?" I ask.

"Yes, Yes. Yes. Yes. I'll be there. I'll even bring Lerajie & Alibaster. See you in a bit Star."

"Sure." The call ends. "Not everyone I hoped to get, but, it's something."

The attack plan goes as follows, Sona's peerage barring Saji & Tsubasa will be on defense, Ame & Skylar will join them to make up for them being gone. Team Gremory, Saji, Tsubasa, Myself, Xenovia, Irina, Asia, & Patel, are on the attack. I have one last thing to do before the fight. Hopefully, I have enough time.

I sit down cross my legs and summon swords around me in a perfect circle, as a magic circle forms in the center under me forming swords that lift me off the ground as the flat side is what's held to my body. I need to focus... focus on my gear. And focus, on him...

Ian grins. "Its been a while. Daniel."
