I felt some warmth on my face causing me to wake up. I covered my eyes as I looked around to see Viola opening the curtains and windows. As I let out a deep sigh, Viola turned herself to me.

"Good morning, Your highness." She bowed. I sat up and stretched my arms. "Would you like me to prepare a bath?" She asked. I gave her a smile and nodded. Today was my birthday. I got out of my bed and walked over to the bathroom. While I was walking, I looked over to the gown that had been brought here last night.

The gown was made in light gold tulle with layers of sheer fabrics. The top was laced in gold tightly around the waist. The sleeves were made of sheer fabrics off shoulders in flutters. There was a crown and a necklace gifted from my grandparents which went along with the gown.

I could not wait to wear the gown for the evening. But I had to wait till the afternoon to be dressed in a gown. For now I am gonna take a bath and go down for breakfast. As Viola had prepared the bath, I got in slowly as the water was warm. Viola would usually leave to give me some privacy. As long as I was healthy, I bathed alone.

After washing up. I dried myself with a towel before putting on a bathrobe. As I came into the room, Viola approached me.

"Sir Ares is waiting outside." She said before she went into the bathroom to clean up.

Ares has been quite annoying honestly. Every single day he will come early in the morning everyday. Even yesterday, I had gotten up at 6am and decided to take a stroll around the garden. I bumped into him the moment I left my room. Although I was caught he continued to accompany me. Which was fine but, somehow he is always watching me.

At least I don't feel like he is watching me at night. Imagining that would give me chills.

I browsed through my closet and picked up a simple yet beautiful dress to wear. It was a baby blue floral pattern dress up to my ankles. It had a corset design for the back and had puff sleeves. Viola came after cleaning up and helped me apply some makeup on my face.

Afterwards Viola did a waterfall braid and tied the braid with a baby blue ribbon to match my dress. As she finished I went to my closet and picked some bow sandals. I wanted to wear something comfortable as I would be in high heels tonight.

As I was finished getting dressed I left my room. As I went out I met Ares. We exchanged glances and left for the dining room.

"Good morning, Princess Eliana." He greeted me.

"Good morning to you as well." I responded.

"Did you sleep well despite your excitement?" He asked.

"What excitement?" I was dumbfounded.

"You were grinning from ear to ear yesterday." He stated. My face flushed in realisation. I covered my mouth as I continued to walk swiftly. Somehow i felt a bit embarrassed about it.

"It wasn't a bad thing, I thought it was very beautiful." He noticed my hand. I slowed down as I looked at him. It is very difficult to read him since he covered his face. I would do anything to make him get flustered.

I thanked him as I looked forth. As I arrived at the dining hall, my brothers and Father were waiting. They turned to me and smiled before shouting. "Happy Birthday Eli!"

I thanked them and took my seat. The breakfast was prepared with my favourite meal. Egg sandwiches along with sliced avocados and a raspberry milkshake. The meal was definitely delicious and the drink was so sweet and tasty. It was quiet when we were eating since it was early morning, we were building up the energy to speak.

As father finished his meal, he waited for me before he spoke. "Are you excited for today?"

"Yes, I absolutely am." I grinned.

"I have invited many young ladies and gentlemen around your age. You can meet them and find the ones you would like to keep close." Father stated.

"So if it is your daughter, you don't invite middle aged men?" Aelius raised an eyebrow.

"Son, it was important to meet the dukes, marquesses and earls. You will be a future king, it is important that you know them." He pointed out.

"She's a princess still, it should apply the same." He argued back.

Father sighed before speaking. "There will be a few of them visiting the party. The ones who I am most close with." Aelius clicked his tongue in annoyance.

"Make sure to drag them away at least." I suggested that I did not want middle aged men around the party.

"Of course, I'll grab all the booze and take them to another room. Also there will be a few Princes and Princesses at the party." He added.

I squealed in excitement. "Did Princess Augustina accept?" I turned to Aelius.

"Yes, she said she will come." Aelius replied.

Princess Augustina was from the Zetraseon Kingdom. She is also Aelius's Fiancee. At first Aelius did not want an engagement and refused to meet her. But after a year he finally saw her for the first time and fell for her hopelessly. When she visits, we would spend time very closely before Aelius would drag her away.

"Since we are done here, Sweetie, will you come with me?" My father requested. We excused our shelves and left the dining hall. It was a quiet walk with my father leading me. Area and Sir Hendrick were following us slowly.

We arrived ourselves on the fourth floor, there was a meeting room with an open balcony there. He brought me there and pointed in a direction.

It was a bit difficult to see through the forest but there seemed to be a building there.

"What is that?" I asked him.

"That will be where you will be staying. The Moonlight Palace." He explained. He had given Aelius a palace as well when he turned 16.

"Oh my goodness, thank you father." I said as I could not believe it. He had actually prepared a palace for me.

"I've given your brother one so it would be natural for you to have one as well." He told me.

"This is the best present ever." I told him.

"I was going to get one in the city but I thought it would be a bit dangerous. Since you were a princess." He said since he knew how much admired the city.

"I'm fine with this one, at least I can visit you quickly." I told him happily. I gave him a hug and he patted my hair and kissed my head.

"You can go ahead and explore. The whole place will be decorated under your commands." He told me.

"Yes father, thank you again." I said before I left. I quickly left for the palace to see it. I had time till I had to get ready for the party. As I was about to run through the forest someone called out to me.

"Princess Eliana, you are not planning to run there are you?" Ares came running.

"It will be fine." I said happily as I continued to run.

"The stables are here, let's grab a horse. It will be safe." He yelled out.

"Are you scared of running out of stamina?" I said as I ran through the forest. It was so fun since I had not run for a long time. I'm really glad I wore my bow sandals, it was really easy to run in them. I held up my dress so I would not step on them and fall.

After a couple of minutes, I was out of breath. I held on to the tree as I panted heavily. I tried to take a deep breath slowly but it was quite hard, even my heart was beating fast. I need to take a break for a minute.

"Are you gonna be stubborn?" A familiar voice crept up behind me. I jumped in surprise and turned. "ARES?!"

"Yes, would you like to ride along with me to the Palace now?" He said, showing off the horse he was leading.

"Aww look at you riding the horse and chase me and then pretend to be walking?" I teased him despite being tired.

"Actually, I commanded the horse, Paddginton to follow me as I ran. Once I saw a glimpse of you I led the horse slowly." He explained.

There was a silence before I spoke , not believing his lies. "That is not true."

"Alright" He said as he let go of the lead. "Then if I may?" He said he suddenly held me up. Before I could yell he started to run. As he did Paddington started coming along with us. It was actually following us.

"Do you believe me now?" Ares said as he continued to run.

"Yes, I believe it, just put me down." I demanded.

"With your Stamina we will reach there by afternoon." He joked. "Stop Lying" I said as I hit him but the armour was quite painful.

"Won't you have to take a break in between?" He reminded me since I would be tired just like a while ago. I pouted and stayed silent.

It didn't take that long before we arrived. It was actually just 15 minutes away. But thanks to Ares we arrived within 8 minutes. As we arrived he let me down and grabbed Paddington's lead. We walked over to the entrance where a gate was closed. The Guard recognized me and greeted me.

"Greetings to your highness." Before I could give him a reply Ares spoke.

"At ease." Ares commanded and the guard calmed down. He must have been surprised to see me arrive. Ares handed over the lead to him and led me to the palace. The palace was painted in white and decorated all around with flower bushes. The inside was very empty. Every sound would make an echo. I walked around the entire palace to see every room.

By the time I finished exploring the whole palace it was the afternoon. It was almost time for lunch. After picking out a room for myself I left the palace. As Ares got Paddington, he lent out his hand for me to get on Paddington.

I sighed and spoke. "We can just walk back."

"But we will be quicker." He suggested. After feeling a bit tired I gave in and got on Paddington. He gave me the reins to hold so I was ready to leave him in the dust, but he suddenly got on behind me. He grabbed the reins on top of my hands and gave a signal to Paddington to walk. Slowly it picked up the pace and rode through the forest.

As we went through I saw the beauty of the forest, the small gaps of light from the fully blossomed trees. I smiled at myself for not realising it before since I was looking down when I was running. As we arrived at the stables Ares got off first and lent his hand out to me. I happily took it and got off at Paddington. Before I left , I fed Paddington an apple and gave him some scratches.

I went to the dining room where I met my family and had lunch. I told them about the palace and thanked my father. After the meal, I headed back to my room where I had to get ready. The party was going to be in a few hours so I decided to do some reading before I got ready.

I could not wait for the party.
