The Girl On The Other Side Of The Glass
I look in the mirror on the wall in front of me.
There she stands, the girl on the other side of the glass,
The girl who whispers in my ear
And fills my head with anxiety and self-hateful thoughts.
Somehow her whispers are louder than screams.
I stare at her. She stares back coldly.
"Why are you doing this?" I ask her. "Is it too much for you to leave me alone?"
"I'm just telling you the truth," she says.
"Stop saying that," I tell her angrily. "Enough with the stupid lies! You shouldn't be controlling me like this. You're ruining my relationships with people; you're ruining my mind; you're ruining my life."
"You're one to talk about stupid lies," she scoffs. "You're the one ruining everything; you're ruining your own life; you're ruining everyone else's lives. You're such a horrible person."
"Shut up!" I tell her. "That's a lie and you know it! I AM A FUCKING GOOD PERSON! Everyone does bad things and stupid things! I am weird in a wonderful way! Stop telling me otherwise and let me live my life!"
The girl's face fills with furious rage, but I turn away from the mirror before she can say anything.
