There is this ship.
At first,
It was nothing more than a small canoe,
Fabricated by someone who stuck with the hope
That it would become
Something greater.

Then, as more people started
Contributing to the building
Of the ship,
It progressively became bigger,
Became stronger.
More and more people offered suggestions
And helped to build the ship,
Until the little canoe became
A huge, magnificent ship,
Complete with flags and decorations.
Two people were placed on the ship,
In the hopes that they could
Get it running.
But for a long time,
The ship,
However magnificent it was,
Never moved,
Never left the harbour.
But everyone who helped to build the ship
Still hoped
That someday,
The ship would set sail.

Then, one miraculous day,
The ship started to leave the harbour.
And everyone who had put long, hard hours
Into the creation of the ship
Rushed over to see
And rejoiced.
"It sails! It sails!" They cried.
The ship sails.
Now, let the ship sail,
Let it sail to America.
