Last Summer
The music I listened to last summer
When I listen to it now, all these memories fly through my head
I remember a long road trip
I remember ferry rides listening to music on my iPod
I remember the hotel room in Tofino right by the sea
Where the water would give way to gray fog that always hovered
I remember eating candy I'd gotten from my birthday as I'd clean my room
I remember sunny days in July
When I would think about a certain boy all the time
A boy who no longer exists
All of a sudden, it's summer again
Time to leave the past behind
And listen to some different tunes
(But hey, my old music is still great too)
