I gaze dreamily out the window
Everyone works silently around me
And I should be working too,
But for a few moments, it doesn't matter to me at all
The French music and rustling papers fade to background static
And I just watch the rain as my mind wanders
I'm surrounded by other teenagers,
But for now, they are not here;
It's just me and the world.
