Chapter 15
Yoongi picked up. I waited for him to say something, anything. But he stayed silent.
"Are you okay?" I asked softly.
"Shouldn't I be asking you that?" He responded solemnly.
"Yeah I think you should be the one asking that," I replied a little light heatedly.
I heard him chuckle softly on the phone. I smiled sadly. We both went silent again.
"You had me worried," I said. " The boys said you locked yourself in your room and you wouldn't open the door."
"I needed to be alone," he responded.
I cleared my throat awkwardly.
"What happened tonight..." I paused. "It wasn't anything you did."
Yoongi stayed silent.
"I-I have had something in the past happen to me. Something bad. I had a flashback during our," I cleared my throat. "Our, um, make out session."
I heard Yoongi sigh softly.
"It's in no way your fault. It's all my fault. I ruined it, I ruined the moment," I said.
A few tears slipped down my face. When I spoke next my voice was quivering and you could clearly tell I was crying.
"And I'm so sorry for that. I feel like I've ruined everything now," I stumbled through my words.
"It's not your fault Bailey. The fault lays with whoever has done this bad thing to you," he said quietly.
I stopped crying as I listened to his words.
"You haven't done anything wrong. At all. You haven't ruined what we have. I don't think anything can. I'm not angry or upset with you. I just wanted to know why," he said. "But now I know, I can learn how to take better care of you. How to protect you. How to stop you from being hurt."
A happy tear slid down my face. I had a wide smile on my face.
"I like you a lot. And it's crazy for me to say this because we've only just met, but I need you in my life Bailey," he said.
I started crying again.
"Why are you crying?" He asked with concern.
"No one has ever treated me so kindly in a relationship before. You're the first person to ever say my smile is beautiful. The first one to want to protect me and not harm me," I said. "I'm crying because you make me happy. You make me feel like I can love myself slowly."
I started laughing. Yoongi joined in.
"It's so cheesy but it's true," I said. "And I really, really like you to, Yoongi."
"That's great to hear," he chuckled. "Can I come over and see you?"
I hesitated before I answered.
"Sure. But fair warning," I paused. "I have a friend over right now. She's the one who told me to call Namjoon and then he told me to call you."
"Well I'll have to thank Namjoon and your friend," he chuckled.
"Yes you will," I said. We both went silent for a second. "Oh and also, I still might be a blubbering mess when you get here," I chuckled.
"That's fine. I'll hold you until you fall asleep," he said.
"You're too sweet," I said.
"That's why they call me Suga," he said.
We both laughed together.
"You still have my address, right?" I asked.
"I do," he responded. "I'll see you soon."
"Okay, see you soon," I said.
I hung up the phone and got out of bed. I quickly put some clothes back on before I walked down stairs to the kitchen. When I entered, I had a huge smile on my face. Alex turned to me, she had only just finished making the hot chocolates.
"You might need to make a third one," I chuckled softly.
"He's coming over?" Alex said excitedly.
I nodded. Alex squealed and came over to give me a bear hug. I squeezed her back and breathed a sigh of relief.
"So," she said as she let me go. "What's his name?"
"Um," a shy smile appeared. "When you see him, you'll know his name."
Alex tilted her head slightly. I just smiled at her and walked passed to grab my cup of hot chocolate. I went on the opposite side of the kitchen bench and sat down on one of my bar stools.
"So have I met him before?" She asked as she pulled out another cup and started making another hot chocolate.
"Once," I replied.
"Did I like him?" she asked.
"Yeah I think so," I chuckled.
"What do you mean 'I think so' Bailey," she air quoted my words. "With me it's either a yes I like someone or no I don't like them."
"Yes, you liked him," I laughed. "You've met his friends as well."
"When?" she said with shock.
"The same time you met him. I can't say because it will give it away," I said.
"Fine, I'll stop asking questions," she said just as she finished making the other hot chocolate.
"Thank you," I said taking a sip of my drink.
Alex smiled and came sat next to me. We both sipped on our drinks in a comfortable silence.
"So, how's work?" Alex asked.
"Well, you'll never believe what I found out the other day about Jack," I smirked.
"What? He's an asshole?" she laughed.
"He is an asshole..." I paused. "A gay asshole."
Alex almost chocked on her mouthful of hot chocolate. She wiped the edge of her mouth where a little had came out.
"I did not see that coming," Alex said.
"Neither did I," I replied. "But since he found out I am gay and I found out he is gay, he's been nicer."
"Well that's good then," Alex smiled warmly at me. "As long as he isn't being as much of an asshole to you now, then that's good."
"Yeah," I said.
We both took a sip of our drinks when we heard a knock at my front door. I looked at Alex, we both had a huge smile on our faces.
"I'll be back," I said as I got up.
I went to my front door and opened it up. I looked at Yoongi holding some chocolates and a small bouquet of flowers.
"Hello," he said shyly.
"Hi," I said back just as shyly.
"I don't know if you like either of these," he said, holding the flowers and chocolate towards me. "But I thought I would get them for you."
"You shouldn't have," I smiled shyly. "But thank you. I love them both."
I took the gifts from him and smiled. I placed them both on the hall stand next to my door before I turned back to him. I eyed him up and down. I stepped closer to him.
"I missed you," he said.
I smiled at him before I grabbed his shirt and pulled him into a kiss. He placed his arms around my waist, pulling me closer. I pulled my head away and placed our foreheads together.
"I missed you too," I whispered. "I'm sorry."
"It's okay," he whispered back. "I'm just glad I'm here."
"I'm glad you are here as well," I whispered.
Yoongi gave me two more quick kisses before he pulled back slightly. His hands were still holding my waist and my hands were still gripping his shirt.
"Come on," I said, grabbing on of his hands. "We made hot chocolate."
Yoongi stepped in and closed the door. I picked up the flowers and chocolates in my other hand. We walked hand in hand into the kitchen.
Alex looked up at us. At first she smiled warmly, looking at the gifts in my hand and then us holding hands. But then it sunk in who was standing next to me, holding my hand.
"Holy shit" Alex said quietly, her mouth hanging wide open.
"Min Yoongi," I looked at him smiling and he smiled back at me because I used his full name. "This is Alex. Alex, Min Yoongi."
