Luna POV

(A week later)

I ran towards the stables where I knew the new Pegasus would be.

Alice had ran into my room a few minutes ago and told me that the campers had found a new Pegasus.

There was a crowd of people standing around something and I heard the neighing and whinnying of a Pegasus.

I ran towards the crowd and pushed through it.

I got to the front of the crowd and was both amazed and angry at what I saw.

Amazed because of what the Pegasus looked like. It had fiery
red/orange fur, a flowing golden mane, startling intelligent bronze eyes, and golden hooves.

But I was also angry because the beautiful Pegasus had ropes on its body and legs while people where trying to get a rope onto its neck.

The Pegasus was kicking and getting lots of scrapes and bruises on it.

I took out a dagger that I had in my boot leg and then threw it straight at a tree right in front of a girl who was trying to get a rope around the Pegasus's neck.

Everything seemed to freeze as the dagger whipped across the clearing, slamming it the tree.

The Pegasus stopped struggling and the people all stopped what they where doing.

At everyone's moment of distraction the Pegasus raised its wings and reared up on its hind legs before neighing loudly and flapping her wings.

The people started again to try to get ropes around the Pegasus but it would not calm down.

I ran over to it and grabbed onto its mane before quickly pulling myself up onto its back.

It reared up and tried to buck me off but I held on tight. The campers were yelling for me to get off but I didn't listen.

The Pegasus flapped its wings one last time and got off the ground a little bit before panting a lot and calming down.

I rubbed its neck in a comforting motion to calm it down and slowly got off its back.

The Pegasus kept its eyes on me the whole time while went right in front of it and looked into it's the eyes.

Everyone was quiet, the only sound was of the forest, the waves crashing a against the beach, and the sounds of everyone breathing heavily.

"Calm down girl, it's ok, your safe now, calm down" I whispered comfortingly to the Pegasus while slowly rubbing her face.

I turned back to everyone else "stop standing there and get these ropes off of her!" I shouted at everyone and they all started to get the ropes off of the Pegasus.

Turning back to the Pegasus, I kept her gaze on me, making sure she didn't look anywhere else.

After a minute or two all the ropes were off of her and backed away from the Pegasus and turned to one of the campers.

"Why did you all put ropes on her?" I asked the camper, who I recognized as Liliana from the Demeter cabin.

"She just flew down to camp and started to run around, looking for something I think. We didn't know what else to do, she could have injured herself or someone." Liliana told me and I nodded.

I turned back towards everyone else "you guys terrified her, next time try a more gentle approach." I told them and they all nodded.

The Pegasus walked up to me and bumped my shoulder, I turned towards her surprised.

"Aren't you going to look for what you where looking for?" I asked her confused and she just nuzzled me.

I laughed "you were looking for me?" I asked her and she seemed to nod.

"Well that's a surprise" I said with a laugh and scratched her neck.

The Pegasus neighed loudly and turned her head towards someone who I recognized as Percy.

"Hey there bud, what's your name" Percy asked the Pegasus, reaching out to pet him.

I suddenly got a bad vibe and quickly called out "Percy! Don't!" But it was too late.

Percy placed his hand on the Pegasus's forehead and she reared back on her hind legs and neighed loudly.

Percy's eyes widened and he jumped back, just as the Pegasus's hooves shot towards him.

He nearly got hit but moved out of the way just in time.

I ran towards the Pegasus who had stepped back down on her four feet and was baring her teeth at Percy.

"Ok ok! I won't go near you!" Percy told the Pegasus who stopped baring her teeth at him.

Percy looked towards me "Luna, you might want to back away from her, she doesn't look like she is too friendly." He told me and I shot a glare in his direction before looking back towards the Pegasus.

I carefully placed my hand on her neck, in a place that she would be able to see it.

The Pegasus turned towards me and bared her teeth but then realized it was me and nuzzled me.

I turned back towards Percy who was looking at me with a baffled expression.

"How is she nice to you but hate me?" He asked confused and I laughed.

"I have no idea, but can you ask her, her name?" I asked him and he nodded before turning back towards the Pegasus.

"Can you tell me your name?" I asked the Pegasus and she neighed something at him.

"Her name is Key" Percy told me and I nodded before turning to Key.

"Nice to meet you Key, my name is Luna" I told her and she neighed again, nudging my chest.

Key put out her wing and placed it on the ground, before nudging me towards it.

"You want me to ride you?" I asked her and she nodded.

I gulped but grabbed onto her mane and putting myself on her back.

Key neighed and put her wing back to her side before walking off towards the cabins.

I grabbed ahold of her mane, being careful to not pull any of her fur out as we raced towards the Hermes cabin.

Yeah so....how do you like it? Great? Good? Bad? Horrible?
