...Maybe being all crushed up was a blessing?

Because - it sounds pathetic, Sadie knows - if you talk to said 'crush', it turns out your day is automatically made. Not that she wasn't before, but Sadie was now, if possible, even more easily pleased. She'd had a full on conversation with Harry and had practically been on cloud nine for the whole rest of the day. God, she felt like an idiot.

They'd been in the midst of a Transfiguration lesson, her two friends in a group conversation with Seamus and Dean, before Dean pulled Harry, Ron and Hermione to join in (not without giving Sadie a playful wink). He's an angel, Sadie knows.

Anyway, Hermione had dragged Ron away to two other Gryffindors to help them with their work, shortly after. Harry had decided to stick around, though, and that was when the opportunity arose for Sadie to help him out with his Colour Changing Charm, considering he was struggling and Hermione had vanished.

"Come on!" she said encouragingly, moving to sit next to him. Chad had given her a knowing look before resuming talking to Marianne, Dean and Seamus.

"I've... I've nearly got it," Harry said awkwardly, glancing over with a pleading look at Hermione who had her back turned to them, anyway, as she was in a deep conversation with Jake Martin whilst Ron and Maddie Jordan appeared to be in what looked a bit like an argument.

"You can do it," she said with a bright smile, nodding at the boy to yet again attempt to change the colour of a blue ribbon McGonagall had placed in front of him.

It flashed a slight purple around the edges, before returning back to it's original colour.

"...Alright, maybe you can't,"

Harry glanced at her irritatingly.

"I'm joking," she grinned, letting out a laugh. "Look, you're just flourishing your wand too much - try it more gently,"

And after a few more times, Harry finally achieved his Colour Changing Charm, much to both his and Sadie's delight.

"Thanks," he'd smiled, to which she nodded in return, visibly pleased with herself.

They chatted for a short while afterwards. There had been a vague mention of the Tri-Wizard Tournament, but Sadie could immediately recognise the stress the thought of it brought to the boy, and so quickly changed the subject.

It wasn't much, but they'd had a talk and a bit of a laugh - Sadie was over the moon. She didn't even care when her friends teased her later, she was in such high spirits.

"What the friggin' hell are you doing?"

It was late in the day, the night was dawning on them, and Chad had entered the practically empty Ravenclaw Common Room to find his best friend, lying on her back, spread out over the sofa by the broad glass window to the far left of the room, eyes closed with something on her cheeks glistening in the moonlight.

"I'm having a moment," said Sadie, without any sign of movement. The blonde didn't even have to open her eyes to know where Chad was, as he pulled up a cushioned blue stool next to her.

"Well, why don't you have a moment in your bloody room?"

"Because Marianne's buggered off somewhere with Seamus, and the girls in my dorm are sleeping, I don't want to wake them up,"

"What's that on your face?" The boy nodded to the blue texture surfaced on Sadie's face.

"A face mask,"

"It's got glitter and shit all over it!"

"I know! It's lush, my skin practically glows afterwards,"

Chad pulled a face at the blonde figure sprawled out on her back, before sighing.

"...Right,"

Sadie sat up, opening her eyes.

"Next time, you can do one with me," she smiled. "Marianne likes them as well - ooh! We should have a pamper night, that would be so fun. You know, light some candles, do face masks, paint our nails..."

Chad's lips curved upwards.

"That does sound a bit fun,"

"You'll love it!" Sadie said cheerfully. "Anyway, have you done the Astronomy homework? We've got that, in a bit,"

"Of course I have," Chad replied, although a slightly guilty expression on his face surfaced once Sadie raised an eyebrow. "Okay, no, I forgot. I came here to see if you could help,"

"You mean you came here to see if I could help you by letting you copy mine?"

"It's like you're a mind reader!" Chad said humorously. Sadie let out a laugh.

"It's upstairs, I did it a couple nights ago - hold on, I'll go and take this face mask off and I'll bring it back,"

"Okay, smurfette," Chad grinned. "See you in a bit, you absolute angel!"

"I know, I am!"

Astronomy was probably Sadie's favourite subject. She wasn't entirely sure what it was, but learning about the movement of the planets and names of the stars was especially interesting to her. And she had always been a sucker for astrology, and star signs, and everything in between, so it made sense, really. Even if they weren't exactly apart of the curriculum.

In fact, one of Chad's first memories of befriending Sadie was her saying,

"We're gonna be, like, best friends, because I'm a Sagittarius and you're a Cancer and they're really compatible, friendship wise,"

It had turned out she wasn't wrong, either - whether their star signs had anything to do with it, or not.

Sadie didn't even mind that Astronomy was always exactly at or near midnight. She absolutely adored looking up at the stars at nighttime so much that it was worth it, in her eyes. Although, there were other students that weren't so enthusiastic about it, as her.

One of these being Harry James Potter.

The class had been separated into two groups for this lesson, one studying one side of the sky and the other studying the opposite. It must have been a lucky day for Sagittarius because Sadie ended up being with not only her two Ravenclaw friends, but a bunch of Gryffindors of whom she got along well with, too. In fact, the entire group were so familiar with each other they could call one another friends, and so Sadie could already tell it was going to be a good lesson.

"Who's even here? I can barely see," a girl with brown curls said, scanning the group she'd been placed in. Sadie knew Maddie mainly from Astronomy, but also because Ravenclaw happened to have a few other classes with Gryffindor. Plus, Maddie was funny, so pretty much everyone knew her for her big mouth, anyway.

The group of students talked amongst themselves as they set up their telescopes, pointing them upwards to the glistening stars shining down on them from the dark hole above, names already flooding back into Sadie's mind as she examined them, quickly. She was good at remembering little things like names or detailed information.

"Yes!" Maddie said, enthusiastically. "We've got Sadie, guys! We're set for the lesson!"

Sadie let out a laugh.

"I'm not lying," the girl continued. "You might as well be our teacher, look - tell me, what's that star?"

"That's easy," said Sadie, her lips curving upwards. Maddie raised an eyebrow as though waiting for her to continue.

"It's the North Star," said Sadie, casually, smirking at the several people who overheard and began scribbling into their notes. "Polaris. It's like a centre point - it remains in the same spot, and everything spins around it. Like the axis of the Earth is pointed almost directly at it,"

"Smartass," Marianne said, giving her a teasing wink.

"I knew I was friends with you for a reason," said Chad, patting the girl on her shoulder as his quill scratched against his parchment.

"Oh, thanks," Sadie replied sardonically, flicking his ear.

The lesson continued a lot like this - students chiming in every now and again to ask Sadie anything they were stuck on, and her happily helping them out. She only wished Harry would get confused and turn to her for help, but she remembered how difficult it was for him to ask her about the Second Task and so she wasn't surprised that he didn't. Plus, he had Hermione and she was pretty knowledgeable, too.

"Sadie, what's that one?" Dean asked from behind her, pointing upwards. "I have tried to work it out, but I'm stumped,"

Sadie grinned at him, before following his finger to see which star he was stuck on.

"Sirius," she said. At this, Harry suddenly glanced up at her puzzled, for some reason.

"...Y'Alright?" she said to him, after realising that even though he was staring at her with a baffled expression, the short silence indicated that he wasn't actually planning on saying anything. At least, that's what it seemed like.

Harry blinked a couple times, before saying,

"Oh - er - yeah..."

"Are you stuck?"

"No, not- not yet,"

"Okay?" Sadie frowned slightly, though her lips still curved upwards. Oh, to know what was going through that boy's brain.

It was then she overheard Maddie on the far side of the group,

"Ronnie, stop trying to be so secretive, Sadie doesn't mind if we copy her, otherwise she'd have told me to do one, by now..."

It was true - in fact, she quite enjoyed helping people out, it made her feel useful. And it also gave her an advantage, because if she helped others out in a lesson she excelled in, like Astronomy, then she'd get help back from others in lessons she wasn't so great at, like Herbology.

Oh yeah, and it also gave her the opportunity to make friends whilst she assisted other students in her lesson.

"So, Marianne," she said, turning to her red-headed friend. "This birthday party you were on about having in the summer - what's happening?"

"Oh yeah," said Marianne. "I'm allowed to invite as many as possible, as long as it's under one hundred, because Dad says that's the venues maximum,"

"Under one hundred?" Chad pulled a face. "Ooh, that's generous. Considering you've barely got ten friends,"

"Fuck off! I've got plenty of friends, thank you,"

"Alright then, who're you gonna ask?" Sadie grinned.

"I'll just invite some people and tell them to bring friends," Marianne shrugged. Sadie and Chad exchanged smirks.

"Oh, well, if you invite Hermione I think you ought to put a special P.S on the invitation to bring Harry for Sadie-" Chad said with a mischievous smile. Sadie punched him on the shoulder.

"Shut your trap!"

Little did the trio know Hermione Granger was now smirking, a few feet away from them.

"I might make a list, now, whilst we're at it," said Marianne, sneaking a glance at their teacher who was busy with the other group, before pulling out a fresh piece of parchment. "So, we've got you two, for starters,"

"Also known as the most important ones," Chad nodded. Marianne playfully rolled her eyes.

"Yeah, alright," she said. "And then... Seamus and Dean... Padma, so I'll invite Parvati and Lavender, as well..."

"Mandy and Lisa," Sadie added. "Which leads to Anthony and Stephen as well,"

"What's this?" A voice said, and they turned to see Maddie and her friend Jessica Wood peering over Marianne's shoulder nosily.

"My birthday," Marianne explained. "I'm gonna have a party for it, since it's in the summer - I wouldn't be allowed normally, unless it was for a special birthday like my seventeenth or something, but last year I was ill so we couldn't celebrate, and this year my mum got promoted so we can afford it, now,"

"Ooh!" Maddie grinned excitedly. "Fun! We better be invited,"

"Obviously," Marianne grinned, adding their names to the list. "Do you want me to add Jake, as well?"

"Yeah," Jess nodded.

"I'll send out proper invites on the last week," Marianne continued. "But if you think anyone might be interested, let me know, because I wanna get the numbers up,"

"Cool," said Maddie. She glanced towards the golden trio for a split second, before turning back to the three Ravenclaws and saying, "Perhaps Ron, Hermione and Harry might want to, as well? Considering there's already gonna be lots of Gryffindors there, looking at this list... don't wanna leave them out,"

"Ooh, add Ernie and Justin," Chad chimed in suddenly, after sitting in thought for a short while.

"And Hannah and Susan," Sadie nodded.

"Okay..." Marianne said, as she scribbled down more names. "Anymore?"

"Neville!" Sadie spoke, her face lightening up. "He's friends with most of these people, he'll wanna come,"

"Okay, so thats- shit," Marianne stopped speaking as their teacher reappeared, shoving her list of potential party guests under her parchment listing the stars in the sky, and Maddie and Jess practically leapt back over to their work.

Sadie snorted at Maddie swearing because she whacked her elbow on the floor.

It wasn't long until they returned, though.

"Perhaps Ginny Weasley as well?" Maddie suggested quietly, once their teacher had left them, again. She gave Jess a teasing glance, resulting in her shooting her a glare. Sadie was the only of her friends to notice this, and raised an eyebrow, giving the girl an inquiring look.

It might have been nighttime, but Jess' sudden flushed cheeks did not go unnoticed.

Marianne, completely oblivious to what had just happened, folded up the parchment and stuffed it back into her bag.

"Right," she said. "If you think of anymore, tell me, and I'll add them,"

"Will do," said Maddie, before she and Jess vanished to pack up their things, just as the rest of the class were doing.

Sadie was secretly hoping Harry might grow out of his shell and turn up at Marianne's birthday - or at least, Hermione might drag him there for her.

Fingers crossed.
