Her left eye shredded ice.

Her right eye sparked flames.

Her nose scrunched with annoyance.

Her mouth turned straight with disbelief.

Simply put, she is extremely angry and annoyed at me. Why though!

Because I am the owner of my own company and she is absolutely displeased with the fact.

I've done many researches; created and developed many medicines and formulas; I'm knowledgeable in poison medicines. Being a senior doctor, researcher and professor with many degrees, for the first time ever none of my experience or knowledge is helping me figure out the mindset of the female sitting before me.

She is annoyed and enraged at me because she somehow heard what I whispered to my PA and found out I'm the real owner of my conglomerate.

Should I be the one who should be furious right now at her for swindling my employees?

"Give me one good reason why we shouldn't send you to jail." My PA, Dan, slammed on the coffee table.

His action gained a little unwanted attention from the employees rounding about on my private floor to have a talk with the new MD. I waved my hand at him to keep it calm and quite as I don't want this issue to get to anyone's notice yet.

"Let's see; Dr. Cazacu chose to be a doctor rather than exposing himself as a chairperson. This means you are passionate about what you do and want to keep both of your jobs separately. If you call cops on me, I can as well tell them that you hired me to be your proxy for time being."

How old is she? Twenty? Twenty-one or twenty-two?

She got caught in her act red handed but still she is calm enough to come up with a backup to get herself out of the mess.

If I wasn't confused and a little angered, I would say she is pretty impressive.

Dan scoffed in disbelief and gaped at her for talking to me in that attitude. "And they would believe you?"

"If I show them the packet of down payment I received for my services, then yes." She answered confidently.

That confidence, that attitude, that composure; this isn't the first time she is deceiving someone for the first time and she is definitely not new to talking herself out of any predicament.

She is a real pro!

This little girl is interesting!

"What if we press for further investigation regarding the money?" Let's see what you have. You are just a little girl who got yourself in an unforeseen situation, I don't think you can walk out of it if I close all the doors of your escape.

The little liar grinned at me almost as if ridiculing me for asking such a question. Well, you really have your next move planned? Let's hear it then.

"Dr. Cazacu, are you really the real deal? Please show me the proofs of declaration of your designation again." When she only got a raise of an eyebrow as reply from me and Dan, she continued further.

"For one, I will say I was given cash. I have some personal savings that I can use as proof. If they want to investigate the source of cash I received, who will they investigate? Remember, you are the real chairperson and no one knows about it so they can't go and investigate you. Unless –" Her smile grew as she took a gulp of fresh juice before she continued.

"Unless?" Dan pressed for an answer.

"Unless you want to reveal your secret." She got me there.

Damn this is little girl is really good! She can lie and deceive people without blinking her eyes. And her confidence in turning fake to real!

A plethora of emotions made their way into me. One, I'm unwillingly impressed by her smarts. All though the time, she was always calm, composed and steeled.

What did she see in her life to be like this? The more I talk to her, the more the researcher in me is motivated.

Dan, on the other hand, is unnerved by the girl who is slipping away safely through all the obstacles we are putting through. Sure enough, he is not impressed by her ability like I am.

"If it can send you to jail, then he will reveal his identity. Don't you make groundless assumptions."

"Dan, Dan, Dan, you have been working for him from a very time I see, you should know that he wouldn't reveal it. Not at this moment at the least." Those words brought an unwanted smile on my lips.

Although I quickly hid it and bit the insides of my cheeks to keep a neutral expression on my face, I should agree that the crafty little girl is something!

"What makes you think I wouldn't. My business is my priority, you see. I can't let a kid take my hard work away." I put on airs just to rattle her confidence a little if possible.

She has been too collected and indifferent so I just baited a little to see her unnerved.

As if it was an impossible wish on my part, the kid only but snickered as a reply. She sighed and shook her head in ridicule, "We wouldn't be sitting here and have this lengthy talk if you were planning to expose yourself, doctor. You clearly have some kind of issues to resolve before to bring yourself into limelight."

That shocked me. Her words surprised me to a whole new level. Spending three hours in the building, a hour of our chat; she could really tell that about me. Her observation skills and assumptions are amazing.

What is she?

How far is she educated? What are her qualifications?

I leaned back on my chair and scanned her for a moment before I spoke. "Tell me the truth girl, why did you pretend to be the owner of VIBE? I want to know the truth, by the way."

If she wanted to scam someone, then she wouldn't try VIBE. VIBE is one of the largest companies in the continent so scamming the company is like a suicide.

That leaves me with one guess, she had no other way but to do so.

The kid heaved and starting speaking much more casually than before. "Few days ago, I was kidnapped." She said as she started to –

Started to wink at me?

Excuse me kid, but I'm eleven years older to you. Show some respect, please!

"I was at a pub and drunk. When I woke up, I found myself kidnapped by a group of three men."

"Uh, kindly stop winking at me. You are not the type of kid I like." I asked her politely but it fell on deaf ears when she kept on tapping her eye at me nonstop.

"Ah, yes." She cleared her throat and closed her eye with one of her hands and started speaking again.

"Like I was saying, After I was kidnapped, the men kept me in a cell and were planning to kill me. They are some kind of psychopaths gathered together for group study."

"Why did they kidnap you? Do they know you?" I asked getting completely invested in the story.

"No, I don't know them nor do they know me. They are purely blinded psychopaths who are just there to get a prey and enjoy the kill. So, to save myself, in the heat of the moment, I told them that killing me would land them in jail or worse tortured to death."

"How so?" It was Dan who asked softly.

"The previous night, still in the haze of alcohol, I heard a couple of your directors talking in the private room of the club. They were talking about a confidential medicinal virus they are trying out to cure tumors. I suddenly remembered that and told them that I'm the owner of VIBE. For further clarification, I told them about the confidential project. It took me some efforts but I was successful in scaring them away with VIBE's influence." I nodded thoughtfully at her.

"If you came out safe from their hands, why did you still have to deceive everyone?"

"A couple of days ago, they somehow found out my condo and reached out to me to see if I was lying. I then came to know that they were keeping an eye on me from past few days. To get them out of my hair, I had to research a little about VIBE and get myself in this trouble."

Hmm, that's what happened. She must've been terrified to face such a horrific incident.

"I'm sorry you had to face such a terrible situation but you don't seem to be new to lying or deceiving others." Dan nodded, seconding my statement.

The kid only shrugged at me and zoned out for a minute before getting back to me. I've seen her zone out a lot in this short period of time. I wonder what she keeps thinking to herself.

"That's a story for another day. Tell me how are you going to deal with me first." Story for another day?

She is sure there is another time!

Giving myself few minutes to think it out carefully, I final told her my plan to handle her case.

"My plan for you is, continue the act."

When the words flew out of my mouth, I received a gasp from Dan and was expecting at least a small exclaim from the kid but she just blessed me with indifference.

Holy atomic weight! She keeps puzzling me!
