I sit on my balcony as I watch the towns people go by doing there daily jobs. They are fascinating the towns people. They can go about freely and enjoy the simple things in life yet still they complain. Why is that? They have free time,they can talk to others freely,eat messy if they want to,etc.. I want to be like that too,but sadly fate had other plans for me.

I let out a sigh and walk back into my room. I flop back on the bed and let out another deep sigh I heard a knock on my bedroom door."Come in."I said and the door opens to reveal my lady in waiting 'chris-ann'. She comes in and sits beside me.

"What's wrong? You look upset.,"She said. She can talk to me so casually because she is my best(and only) friend.

'I want to go out there and see what's happening!,"

"I know,I know. You have been complaining about it for the past 17 years! Just hang in there champ! You're 18th birthday is in 2 weeks right?,"

Yeah so?.........Oh yeah! My parents said on my 18th birthday I can go into the city!,"

"Now you remember, Guess what?,"

"What?,"

"On that day a famous magic show is coming to town! I was thinking we could go see it together?,"

"Of course we can! Thank you so much Chris-ann!,'

"You're welcome.,"

Then she got up and turned to me.

"Now it's tome to do your daily duties.,"

"Ugh!,"

'Yeah,yeah,yeah. Now get a move on!,"

"Ya,ya,I'm coming.,"

"Well hurry it up!,"

"Whatever,'

I then got up and went towards the library for my teaching session with Mrs.Katsuki. She's really nice.

Lily's P.O.V

"HOT,HOT,HOT!," I tossed the glowing nugget into the bucket of ice cold water. I had visited the local blacksmith,he was helping me prepare my magic show,well he was helping me make a magical orb,but it didn't go as well as I thought it would.

I had tried a spell on my hands so I could hold the nugget,that was going to be an orb soon,in my hands without burning them,but it had only worked a little. Spells like that aren't something I'm familiar with.

"What are ya even doin' with that thing over there?,"

He pointed at the nugget.

"I need to form it as an orb with my magic so it will do what it's made to do.Besides, this is the last magic show I'm doing before I have enough money to set up my own magic shop.,"

The blacksmith,John, was melting some bronze in his furnace. "You still on abou' that?," He sighed."This city ain't all that good ya know.,"

I ignored his concern and picked up the now cool nugget." how are ya supposed to turn that thing there into an orb anyway?," I smiled and looked back at him. I clutched the sword handle, ready to make the magic happen. I tossed the nugget in the air,drew my sword,and out came purple stars. They flew out and floated all around the shop as I continued. I began to chant,and soon the stars flew into the nugget,forming it into an orb.

'Now that," John began"is real magic.,' I held the orb in my hand with triumph on my face. " Well I gotta go,John, There waiting for me.,"

I waved goodbye to John as the sun was close to setting. A little darkness never hurt me. I ran through the marketplace,dodging merchants and towns people on the way. I wonder if the royal family is going to watch? No,they're not too found of magic after a magician put a curse on the King and I'm not too found of them either. They don't know shit about hard work.

The tent where I had everything for my show got closer and closer with every step I took. I stopped,slightly panting,and went inside the red and white tent. Not much was in there,and I had a glimpse of a small stage outside.

"Ah lily,you're here! Did you get the orb you were looking for?,"

I nodded towards Lance. He was rather small where he stood,but he was normally around my height. His brown,curly hair swayed in every possible direction when he walked.

" Is it tomorrow night the show starts?,"

Lance nodded with a huge grin. 'I heard everyone is going and since the show's free for everyone to see,then alot of the children can see it too! If only the King and Queen knew about the children around here.

"Not all children are poor you know. You're only talking about the orphans. I talked to one on the way here. I said I would do a magic show tomorrow night, I hoped that it was tomorrow night,and the girl I had spoken to was smiling and ran inside the church to tell her friends!,"

Lance smiled once again. "You've always been good with children. How come you've never married?," I laughed and patted Lance on his shoulder.

"That's not some thing I'm looking for right now. Besides,I've spoken to the magician and he says I'm destined to find someone in a town where I use magic. Perhaps this is the town? I mean I'm going to live here soon.,"

"THE magician?!,"

"I nodded.

" What an honor.,"

"Well I need to get back to the inn,see you tomorrow night! And be ready with that stage!,"

Then I walked out and went back to the inn I was staying in.
