Meeting the family

After breakfast the following day it was time to get to the airport. Isa was almost more tired than before. She hadn't been able to rid herself from the internal battle. The last thing she had thought about before she fell asleep and the first thing she thought about waking up was Morgan.

She was going crazy.

They checked out of the hotel, and Isa was surprised to see their cab stop by another building on their way to the hotel. Her heart almost stopped altogether when Morgan walking up to them.

"Morgan's coming with us?" Isa breathed to Robert, with eyes wide open.

"Sure, didn't I tell you?" He smiled deviously.

Morgan got into the car and they gave each other an embarrassed smile when he took the seat next to her. "Good morning."

She returned the phrase but wondered if it was good or not.

The silence was deafening and Isa was so extremely relieved when Morgan started to question Robert about the convention which had been Robert's first.

She tried to smile politely.

Paparazzi met them the second they got out of the car and Isa wanted a hole in the ground to slip into.

The time at the airport and the flight was nothing of the relaxed goofing off Isa had imagined. Even if Robert and Morgan spoke casually, she couldn't relax for a second. It didn't help that she caught Robert, secretly smiling at Morgan and her. Devious brother, she thought.

Morgan felt stiff and uncomfortable and barely looked at her. Why should he, Isa thought, she was just another college girl, easily replaced.

The flight got really interesting where Isa got the seat in between the two guys. She had needed to take a nap on the flight, but that was totally impossible. The air sparkled between Morgan and her and she was painfully aware that he was mere inches from her with his gorgeous eyes and those breathtaking lips. Why had he kissed her yesterday, she wondered, if he kept ignoring her today. Not much was said and she felt her head echoe with contradicting questions the entire flight.

Isa had seen looks from girls around them and felt like some grey, boring character in between these two gorgeous guys. They were in sparkling colors, high definition while she in dull black and white.

She wished she would have been able to enjoy this experience more.

Morgan held his gaze through the window, not knowing what to smalltalk about. What could you say to distract your friend when you have made out with his girlfriend?

He wanted to kick himself for being a complete jack ass.

He didn't dare to look at the girl next to him, close enough to touch, and he didn't dare to glance at the friend and co-actor who probably would kick the crap out of him as soon as he fessed up. Why had he not listened to the logical part of his brain the day before?

Truth be told, he knew why. She had been like a siren calling to him, without being the slightest aware of it, and he had taken advantage of her. Just thinking about that kiss made his pulse race again.

Isa closed her eyes, certain that Robert had some sadistic joy of seeing the two of them sweat without lifting a finger to ease the tension.

Had she asked him flat out it had been confirmed. That was spot on. Robert wanted Morgan to suffer, at least a little bit longer, just because he had gotten the girl Robert could never have.

He could see how tense Isa was though, and took her hand. She leaned her head on his shoulder. What a cruel twist of faith, he thought that the two of them had in every aspect, become brother and sister.

Morgan kept going through everything over and over. He felt so incredibly sorry for the girl who sat between them. It was obvious that she had no idea he would be travelling with them today. The poor girl had no had no way to relax with him sitting there, reminding her of the kiss the day before. He couldn't blame her; this flight was one of the worst he had been on, especially when she leaned against Robert in that intimate way.

What the hell had he done?

He scowled himself internally, looking at the clouds and blue sky outside the plane window. He had gone after a buddy's girlfriend; that was something he had never done before and he wanted to kick himself for it. That was something you just didn't do and it served him right to sit here and sweat, looking at the two of them snuggling together.

It was even hard to focus on some simple small talk and he could feel a headache coming up.

He had barely had any sleep, tired from working long hours and was really looking forward to a few days off. At least they had a few days off from shooting. Promoting and interviewing was also work, and tiring in a different way.

Actually much worse in a way.

When the plane went down for landing, Isa turned and leaned closer to Morgan to look out the window and they both felt the air ignite between them. Morgan just wanted to slide his arms around her and not let her go.

Their eyes met and for a brief moment a smile swept over her beautiful face, but then Morgan happened to catch Robert's eyes and the guilt was eating him up again.

What had he done?

Isa couldn't believe why the gorgeous man next to her would ever want her, and that cold stance was proof enough for her.

She was nothing but a distraction, a temporary thing, perhaps to scratch an itch? Was it actually only to prove that he could take what he wanted, when he wanted to? That brief moment their eyes met though sent a tingling current straight to the core of her and she would gladly risk being used for another kiss like that.

The plane landed after what felt like forever and they followed everybody else to the luggage claims. Morgan offered to take Isa's suitcase and she thanked him with a smile. He cursed himself though when Robert put his arm around her and she leaned against him once again.

He wanted to kick himself.

Robert had been generous and offered him to stay at their parents place, but now he was wondering if that was such a good idea. Well, think of it as a punishment! he told himself. Never go after another man's girl!

In his mind he amused himself to think what his character Vincent would have done. First of all he would have killed Robert.

Oh, this is working!

He smiled to himself. Secondly he would have taken the girl somewhere remote where she couldn't get away, or possibly compel her to like him.

But how does it feel when you know the feelings aren't true, it is all fake.

Like now, it probably feels like this moment, his conscience yelled at him, efficiently wiping the smile off his lips.

Probably...

Isa was going through her own little internal purgatory. Being placed between the two guys should have been a highlight, but with Morgan's cold shoulder she had retreated to Robert's, almost touching Morgan's knee in the process. The heat radiated from him and she had to concentrate not to throw herself over him and tear his clothes off right there in front of everybody.

Morgan didn't seem to feel the way she did though; the entire flight he sat still and looked out the window. He barely spoke.

Of course I have to be a total wreck after that kiss, ready to abandon my land and home for him, she thought. It hadn't meant the same to him.

Isa took a deep breath as soon as they reached the crisp air outside. Had she really held her breath the entire flight? It felt like it.

During the cab-ride from the airport, Robert looked at Isa. "Did I mention that Morgan will be staying with us?" he said making her heart jump up in her throat, or possibly going into cardiac arrest.

That would be a relief.

She willed her eyes not to widen and expose her. "How nice..." Isa said in a positive tone despite her nervously dry mouth.

Robert smirked at her.

Discretely she glanzed at him, pondering about what she could do to repay him for this courtesy. Perhaps I could... No that wasn't mean enough. But if I... No. She couldn't think of anything substantial enough for this.

"It was nice of you to offer, but perhaps it'd be better to..."

"Don't be silly Morg, of course you'll stay with us!" Robert interrupted. "Right, Isa?"

"Of course." Isa even managed to glue a smile on before she looked at Morgan. She wished she was a better actor.

She started to build up a scenario where she was in charge. What if she could do what Morgan claimed; what if she paid back in the same currency? If it was all an act she didn't have to feel stupid, she didn't need to get hurt. What if she pursued him like he had done to her?

If she just acted, there was no need to get hurt when he turned her down, right?

By the time they got to the elevator, Isa had made up her mind and decided to go for it! She was still scared of looking straight at Morgan, but told herself to grow a spine and stood proud and tall, almost craning her neck.

She happened to catch a glimpse of Robert's eyes through the mirror and he looked a bit puzzled and amused at her. She held her chin high, almost making Robert crack a laugh.

Morgan was still quiet, almost looking sour the entire trip up to their floor.

Krystal was home when they walked in through the door and Isa introduced Morgan as her friend and Robert's colleague. Morgan was very polite and they seemed to instantly hit it off, but when Isa said that Morgan could put his bag in her room, her mother had to object.

Morgan's mouth fell open in surprise by Isa's demand. He couldn't believe that Robert had nothing to say. Krystal said something about it not being appropriate for Morgan to be sleeping in her room, and he couldn't agree more.

Isa's got mad in an instant. "You've got to be kidding, mom!" She switched from English to Swedish and back again as they continued to argue. "We're grownups!" The two women got more and more agitated.

All Morgan could do was standing there, trying to convince them that a hotel would be much better for him. He didn't want to cause trouble between any of them. None of the females acknowledged his meak tries and he knew he had to talk to Robert; desperately!

That guy had conveniently disappeared, but returned shortly after having put his suitcases down.

"Robert..." Morgan had to clear his throat. "Can I have a few words with you, in private?" The need to come clean was overwhelming.

"Sure." He said, glancing at the two angry women and then motioning with his neck for Morgan to follow. They walked to Robert's room, while Isa and her mother barely noticed them leaving.

Morgan didn't know what to say or where to start, so he just blurted out: "Rob I've done something stupid." He sighed, not even meeting Robert's eyes. "I kissed your girlfriend."

"My sister?"

Morgan who was drowning in guilt didn't notice the teasing tone or the twinkle in his friend's eyes. He had his eyes somewhere else; shamefully on the plush carpet. "Girlfriend, sister..." He said impatiently, daring himself to look at his friend. "I kissed Eysa, and I'm really sorry. I'm not the kind of guy that goes around kissing others girlfriends."

"Sister," Robert repeated. "She's not my girlfriend, she is my sister."

Morgan looked up first now and blinked surprised. His eyebrows were intermediatelly raised and pressed down in confusion.

"I wished she wasn't, but it turned out she really is my sister, there is nothing else going on between her and me." Robert said with a smile, watching Morgan's tightly knitted brows and his surprised face. "But I have enjoyed your sweating today." He added with a wicked smile.

Morgan couldn't believe what he was saying. "Really?" He looked surprised at his friend. "You mean I'm not an adulterous bastard, then?" A relived smile started to take shape on his face.

Robert chuckled and put his arm around his friend's shoulders. "No, you're okay! But if you hurt her, I will kill you." He added with a smile. "I will rip your heart out and feed it to you."

Morgan swallowed. "Duly noted." He nodded, respecting his wish. With his eyes still locked on his friend realisation finally sunk in; he could have Isa. A smile widened on his face; the predator awokened.

They were on their way back to the kitchen again when they heard how upset the two women still were. They were still yelling at each other in Swedish.

"What are you saying; if Morgan stays in Robert's room, and Robert stays with me, that's okay? He's a guy as well!"

Robert and Morgan looked at each other and then Isa changed back to the English language. "I can't believe the hypocrisy in this freaking country. Don't bother; I'll stay at a hotel!" She turned on her heel and marched out of the apartment.

Robert and Morgan exchanged looks again and with a trace of a smile on Robert's face, Morgan stepped forward, shaking Krystal's hand. "It was nice to meet you." He turned and followed the seething Isa.

In the elevator he stood casually leaned up against the wall and studied her with a shadow of a smile on his face. He was back in the game and thought about how beautiful she was even now, seething with anger.

"What?" she growled, still pissed off.

"You defended me," he said slowly and thought about how she once again had surprised him.

"Yes?"

"You didn't have to do that, you know." He used the cocky attitude from Vincent, and perhaps his prowl as well.

She was not Robert's girlfriend.

"Are you saying I did wrong? I could easily rip your head off now, you know," she muttered ferociously and Morgan started to chuckle.

Swiftly he took the three steps, separating them and were in her face in an instant. She gasped. He grabbed her chin. "I love your death threats, they're so cute." He kissed her lightly.

Surprised but still mad, she did her best to wiggle out of his grip, but he just took a new. He could see that his strength annoyed her.

"Like I said... cute..." He teased her and couldn't help but to kiss her again.

Isa was surprised by his act. Was he interested or not?

When they got down to ground level Morgan followed as she stomped outside. Her phone rang and she pulled it out. Her display revealed that it was her mother calling and she was obviously not talking to her.

Morgan snatched her phone and answered the call. "Hi Krystal, this is Morgan speaking." He listened intensely to the woman. "Yes. She'll just need to cool down. I understand... We'll come up later. Okay, byebye." He ended the call and Isa stood there waiting with her arms crossed over her chest, looking expectantly at him. The confusion over his behavior was tinged by the anger over her mother.

With his hands on her shoulders he took charge. "You and I will take a walk, okay?"

He was surprised over how good it felt, standing there with her almost in his arms, while she calmed down. "Come on, let's take a walk." He suggested again softly and took her hand in his, brading his fingers between hers.

The hand he held tingled and she was breathless all of a sudden, and that seemed to distract her anger. She took a deep breath and simply followed his lead as they headed out along the street; surprisingly empty from people. Isa calmed down as they walked there side by side in silence. She was confused by his actions; he who had showed no interest at all during the flight was interested again?

After a while Morgan just couldn't help to ask. "Why did you get so mad? It couldn't be just because you wanted me in your bed?" He felt really smug and was sure it showed. He smiled when he saw her blush.

"I'm sorry. She's just so... so American!" she muttered.

"There is no double standard in Sweden?" he asked amused.

"Not like here..." She shrugged her eyebrows.

"What's life like in Sweden?" His question surprised her, but the lack of sarcasm in his voice was a bigger surprise. She had expected that.

She thought for a while what was significant about Sweden. "It's calm." Her inner calmed at the mere thought.

This was Morgan's time to be surprised and they resumed their silent walk for yet another while. He was pondering about their relation and so was she, but neither of them said much. They simply glanced at each other once in a while.

Isa's stomach started to buzz with butterflies again and she wondered what she got herself into, asking him to sleep in her room. All he had to do was take a look at her and all her defenses were ruined. Her hand in his started to shiver and there were shills going up along the arm and down her spine.

She couldn't believe that she was really walking here holding Morgan Grey's hand.

One of the encountering pedestrians came to a halt right in front of them. Isa recognized her very well and noticed her eyes flickering towards Morgan several times "Felicia?"

"Emily?" Isa feigned a smile towards the girl who had been one of her classmates from highschool.

"It is you; you're back in New York?" She flashed them a huge smile and gave her one of the silly air-kisses that Isa thought only existed on Gossip Girl.

Yes, of course she mimicked her actions with the same fake enthusiasm.

Isa told her old classmate that she was just in New York for a short while and introduced Emily and Morgan briefly. She noticed Emily's curious lingering eyes on Morgan and wanted to punch her.

"Can't we get a cup of coffee or something? It would be great to catch up." Emily suggested.

"Yes, that would be great. We have an appointment right now, but can I call you?" Isa suggested enthusiastic, giving her old classmate no alternative. She had no guilty conscience; they hadn't been friends back then. The girls said their goodbyes and continued their walk.

They were out of hearing when Morgan spoke. "Well, you're right about one thing," Morgan said, making Isa look surprised at him. "You're no actress."

Her mouth fell open.

"Why were you rude to her?" Morgan asked with a challenging expression.

Isa looked surprised at him, but sighed and confessed. "She wasn't interested in meeting me. She wanted to meet you."

Morgan looked surprised at her.

"You really didn't notice?" she exclaimed. "She was practically eye-fucking you right there."

He laughed right out. "And I guess that's not okay for you?"

She didn't really know what to say, but reminded herself of her resolution in the elevator. If you don't dare to say the truth; fake it! She smiled wryly and mischief glittered in her eyes. "No, that's not okay," she mumbled and looked up at him through her eyelashes.

He chuckled soft and put his arm around her shoulder. They walked like that for a while. "So... do you have any other old friends?"

Isa nudged him with the elbow and he snickered. "You're mean!"

"Yes I am." He chuckled and pulled her closer. "That's why you like me!" He said in her hair. It felt like a sucker punch; all air left her lungs and those butterflies were fluttering away again.

All of a sudden there were people with cameras flashing everywhere around the two pedestrians. Morgan, who already had his arm around her, did his best to hide her face from the cameras. They had walked almost around the block and with a fast walk they could hurry inside her mother's building, safe and sound.

"Are you okay?" He sounded worried.

"Yes, I'm fine," she assured as they entered the elevator, but felt confused and couldn't help but to ask. "One day you show me off to the press, and the next you hide me. Why?"

He looked a little puzzled at her, unable to answer the question. Whatever was happening between them felt more real now, much more than yesterday. It was just a game until the moment he kissed her; that had changed everything. "That had to do with work, this is our private time." He was furrowing his eyebrows as if he didn't really know what to say.

She smiled. "Thank you." His honesty and the sincerity surprised her. There was a lot more to him than met the eye. And he was easy on the eye...

Isa's mother met them inside the apartment and Isa was certain that Robert had a chat with her. "I'm sorry sweetie." She held her arms out to her daughter.

"Yes, I'm sorry too." They hugged each other.

"Thank you Morgan, I think I should apologize to you as well." She hooked her arm in his and led him to the couch where she had set the table with refreshments. The four of them had a nice time.

Robert's father arrived home eventually and Morgan got opportunity to meet the man who instantly approved of him.

Dinner was served and the light conversation eased the pressure on Isa and Morgan's unconventional relationship. Robert was there to eagerly heighten the tension with teasing remarks, though.

Morgan was better than Isa at ignoring the puns and engaging in conversations with David about his business. They ended up having deep discussions about environmental issues and the chaotic start of the day ended in a really nice evening together before it was time to retire.

That was a new ball of game.

Morgan followed Isa to her bedroom, feeling more nervous than a grown man should be in his own opinion.

Isa was a wreck. With a meek phrase that he was welcome she locked the bathroom door behind her. She slumped down on the seat of her toilet with her hands covering her face. "What the hell am I doing?" she mumbled to herself. "I can't act cool, this is crazy!" She practiced deepbreething for a while before she changed into her sleep attire, brushed her teeth and walked out of there.

Morgan stood by the window contemplating his life-choices when Isa returned from the bathroom, in a black tank-top and short shorts. He breathed in deeply, watching her with a crooked eyebrow and a tormented face. She was gorgeous!

Her eyes flickered nervously towards him and she looked troubled. "What?" She wanted to know.

"I'm gonna have to sleep with Robert. I can't sleep with you!" slipped out of his mouth before he really had time to think it over.

Isa looked at him with surprise and a hurt face.

"You're too hot for me!"

"Stop teasing me!" She lowered her eyes to the floor and walked away from him.

Why would anybody get hurt by the statement that they were hot? He didn't get it. He crossed the room, stopped and turned her towards him. With a finger on her cheek he forced her to meet his eyes. "I would never lie to you about that!" His tone of voice affirmed the serious and sincere expression. "You don't see yourself very clear, do you?" It wasn't clear if it was a question or a statement.

Her amazingly blue eyes took his breath away momentarily and he had to regain focus to manage this. "If you don't want me here, just say it and I'll sleep somewhere else. I don't want you to be uncomfortable."

There was vulnerability in her eyes that he hadn't seen before; something that her cocky attitude hid efficiently.

Let's keep it light! Morgan thought. Don't scare the poor girl off. "It's not the first night we've spend together Eysa; I'll be gentle." He used his crooked smile in an attempt to joke and to lure a smile out of her. "I can't really take advantage of you in your mother's house, can I?"

Isa's heart was beating like a sledgehammer. Why not take advantage of me? she wanted to ask.

The way he had said her name, pronouncing it like a caress made her shiver. He misinterpret it though with his hands on her arms, stroking them lightly. "You're getting cold." He said soft and pulled her closer.

Oh my God, oh my God!

He just slid one of his arms around her and led her to the bed. Softly he pulled the cover over her before he walked to her on-suit bathroom.

This was his time to grovel in solitude.

Isa thought about her actions while he was getting ready for bed; her heart was beating erratically and her breathing was fast and shallow. She started to worry, what she had got herself into, to actually tricking him into bed like this. She was definitely no actor, stuttering and tripping on her feet as soon as he looked at her.

How could she even think she could do this; amateur!

He got back, and Isa pretended to look away, to give him some privacy when he sat down on the bed, got undressed and slid in under the covers on the far end of her queen size bed. She suddenly got the feeling that he was just as nervous as she was, but that must be my imagination, she thought.

Why would he be nervous next to her?

She barely dared to turn and watch him, but when she mustered up the courage, his dark brown eyes seemed to glow in the dark and she couldn't say a word. Her pulse beat so hard she was afraid he could hear it and she swallowed hard. "Sleep tight." She whispered despite her dry mouth.

His eyes glowed with some unrevealed secrets. "Yes, you too; you've had a couple of intense days, right?" She could see his beautiful smile in the light of the moon from her window and didn't think she would be able to get a minute of sleep with him lying next to her. She just nodded and gave him a smile back.

Wow, I'm in bed with Morgan Gray...

~ ~ ~

Next morning Isa woke up slowly and relaxed, with the feeling of having dreamt such a wonderful dream. Her neck was a bit sore, so she stirred, started to stretch her muscles and pushed the hair from her face.

Her hand hit something and surprised she opened her eyes, gasping.

"Ouch..." Morgan said soft and grabbed her wrist before she could pull it away.

"Oj, förlåt, det var inte meningen!" she rambled as soon as her mouth had contact with the brain. Her eyes were wide as saucers, looking straight at Morgan who was lying on his side, watching her.

He just smiled. "God morning sweetie; so, 'felowt' means sorry?"

Isa could feel a shy smile spread on her face. "Yes, förlåt means sorry." Her pulse went crazy and once again she was worried that he'd be able to hear it.

"I'd better get myself a dictionary," he said with a smile which she returned, almost starting to giggle.

"Cause you talk Swedish in your sleep."

Her smile disappeared and her eyes grew huge.

Oh no!

"And you said my name." He moved in really close to her. "I just want to know what you're saying about me." He spoke in a slow, teasing way and with a smirk on his face. Isa closed her eyes and tried to think of something to say, but her brain had taken a time out.

He just chuckled and she opened her eyes as he pulled a lock of hair from her face. "You've got beautiful morning hair..." he said and spread it out like a halo on her pillow putting a smile on her face.

A bit shaky she reached a hand to touch his hair. "I can see that you've already been up and got yourself styled," she joked. "But you missed the make-up," she added with a nervous giggle.

"So you like me with the make-up, do you; with the fangs and everything?" He bared his teeth, aiming for her carotid artery and closed in to give her a kiss right there on her neck. It tickled and Isa started to laugh and wiggle to get away.

He got hold of her wrists and she found herself lying on her back with this gorgeous hunk of a man hovering over her. Their eyes locked and then his eyes found her lips and he leaned in and kissed her. Just as last time, it was like an explosion of passion.

Isa moaned and gasped for breath.

"Your lips..." he sighed. "I love them. I would like a copy, that I can have in my pocket when you're not around... because... you're not gonna be around..." His smile subsided and a troubled wrinkle started to show between his eyebrows. He lay down on his side next to her and studied her with a troubled look. He looked like he couldn't really get why that bothered him and Isa couldn't agree more. Why would that bother him?

"No, I'm gonna have to go back to Sweden," she said and her smile faltered as they watched each other in silence.

He had to remind himself to keep it light. "But you tricked me into your bed," he uttered slowly and she saw mischievous sparkles in his eyes. "Not something many has achieved..." Isa's cheeks turned pink and he couldn't help but to chuckle. She looked adorable.

A knock on the door interrupted them and Morgan quickly moved away from her in bed, surprising her in his effort not to get her in trouble with the family.

The door opened and Robert peeked in, announcing that breakfast was served. They thanked him and Isa got out of bed as soon as he left, she headed for a quick shower and Morgan slumped back on her pillows trying hard not to think of the water running down that delectable body of hers and how she was lathering up. He groaned and didn't know what to do to focus on something else. He had heard his name on her lips during the night and that did strange things to him.

His pulse was beating hard and every part of his body was tense as he heard her turn the water off. She walked into the bedroom in a huge towel and bent over to pick clothes to wear for the day. Morgan had to look away.

"The shower is free if you want it," she suggested with a carefree smile.

He looked up to catch that smile. "Thanks!" he said, but knew he had to wait for a while before he got out of that bed, grateful for the covers hiding his body. He just put his hands behind the neck and watched her as she walked back into the bathroom and came out a few minutes later in a pair of jeans and a white longsleeved t-shirt.

"I'll save you a seat," she said flirty before she walked out to her family, while Morgan got under the hot sprinkling water. That was a welcoming break, one he really needed. In bed with her already, how did that happen?

What was it about her that made him stand here in her shower, brooding over his life? In the beginning it had been her eyes and her amazing body that drew him in, and then her cocky attitude; now he couldn't see any disadvantages at all.

More than the fact that she was living in another continent, of course. Soon she would go back over the Atlantic Ocean again, and he would be getting back to work; everything would get back to normal. Whatever normal was.

Her family was really nice and polite, but Morgan got some curious looks as he walked up to the table and sat down next to Isa. The smile she gave, went straight into the core of him and he couldn't do anything but return it. After the first polite conversation concerning if they had slept well, Krystal asked what kind of plans they had for the day.

"Well, it's work as usual," Morgan said with a look at Robert who nodded. Isa looked surprised at them.

"Didn't we tell you? We have interviews on NBC tomorrow morning and we'll be on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon tonight," Robert explained.

"You can of course come, if you want to," Morgan offered, hoping he wasn't too obvious.

Isa looked at him with a doubtful face. "Will it be Robert and Morgan, or Hans and Vincent?"

Robert and Morgan looked at each other with a chuckle and explained that they were supposed to be themselves, not their characters. Isa still had a doubting face, but said she'd come if they were themselves. Morgan felt his heart swell and was scowling himself throughout the meal.

The day was spent in the apartment, Morgan didn't want to get out and get Isa hunted down by the fans and paparazzi, like the day before. He wanted to get to know her. He had been drawn to her since the second she walked into that make-up room and here he was in her home, or at least her mother's home.

Everybody was very hospitable, but Morgan felt trapped and he even noticed that Isa was walking back and forth in a slightly uncomfortable manner. He wanted to go somewhere he could be alone with her. He didn't know what to say or what to do.

She walked around here in her home, talking to her mother, sitting by the TV for a while and doing all the natural and ordinary things you do in a home. But she looked a little awkward.

Morgan stopped by a wall, filled with family portraits. "Is that you?" He asked Isa who walked up to him.

Krystal passed them at that moment. "I can bring out the photo album." She smiled.

"Oh no mama..." Isa begged

"Oh please do."

Despite her begging, Krystal brought an album and they sat down on the couches for her to show Morgan to Isa's abashment.

"Is that...?" Isa sat down on the armrest next to him. "I haven't seen these in..." He moved over and she slid down on the seat next to him, absorbed in the photos.

She and her mother were talking about memories and he understood that they hadn't lived together for some time. Even if they changed back and forth between the English and Swedish it was amazing to watch her. She was mezmerising.

When her mother left them, she took the album in her lap, leaned back and put her feet on the coffee-table while studying the pictures. "I remember this..." Swiftly she changed over to Swedish and it was amazing to see her sit there taking and snickering. She said something about one of the pictures and looked up at him. Instantly her blue eyes widened, as if she first now noticed that he was there, but then she pointed at a photo and told him about where she lived as a child.

It was really amazing to see her in her home, teasing Robert and laughing with her mother. Morgan couldn't help but to watch her in the corner of his eyes, trying not to be too obvious. Her being this relaxed only made him want her more.

Either he realised it or not, Isa was painfully aware of Morgan being there in her mother's home, she noticed his look on her every time she walked by, however discreet he tried to be.

Robert's smirking face revealed that he was highly amused watching the two of them.

How incredible embarrassing to be watched like this; was there nowhere they could find some privacy? Isa wondered, Wasn't it enough that her mother had pulled the family photo album trick on her? Isa thought and tried to come up with an idea.

Finally, she mustered up some courage and stood just outside Robert's sight of view with her eyes locked on Morgan and her heart pounding. Their eyes met and a smile slowly spread between them. Isa turned and walked out on the big balcony and it didn't take long until Morgan showed up as well.

She stood with her back to him by the rail, looking out over the view. She was very much aware of him as he walked up to her, and could feel warmth radiate from him as he stopped just behind her, putting one hand on the rail beside hers.

They stood there in silence for a while, looking like they were enjoying the view, but was actually totally focused on each other. The air seemed to hum between them. He moved his hand to hers and stroked a finger over the knuckles and the back of her hand. Then he slid his other hand around her waist. Her breathing got faster and shallow again and her pulse was beating like crazy.

"Time for a cold shower?" Morgan mumbled.

"You and me together?"

Morgan drew breath. "Not helping!" He mumbled between his teeth and Isa started to giggle.

She turned towards him and the giggling stopped. He put his hand on her cheek and let his fingers slide into her blonde curls while he leaned closer and kissed her. Her hands slid along his black shirt till they reached his back and she pressed him against her. Just as earlier, the kiss was filled with uncontrolled passion.

Morgan broke off the kiss; looking at her in the same puzzled way he had after their first kiss; confused. "Who are you?" he breathed.

That was Isa's time to be surprised. She looked at him with her eyebrows way up high and her smile reflected in his dark blue eyes. "I'm the girl who tricked you in bed," she smirked.

He laughed out loud.

Both of them were incredibly skilled when it came to avoiding the subject of what on earth they were doing. Isa was getting cold and he wrapped his arms around her for warmth.

In the huge apartment, they sat down in the tv-lounge and watched a movie before dinner. They didn't talk that much, but they said at least some words to each other, sitting close together. He held her hand in his, stroking it lightly with his thumb.

When it was time to get ready for the interview for the night, they walked to her room.

"I better go freshen up." Morgan sighed and walked away from her really slow, still holding her hand. "Do you wanna come?" He suggested with a wicked smile, making her giggle. He pulled her back toward him and kissed her lightly before he walked to the bathroom and changed his clothes.

In the cab on their way to Rockefeller Plaza an hour later, it was Morgan's hand Isa held. A lot had changed since their latest joined cab-ride, just a day before; but Isa was still asking herself when she would wake up and realize this was all just a dream.

They were guided to the makeup room and Isa sat by the guys side when they were prepared for the show by a makeup artist. It was a little quicker than it usually took when these two got makeup. "Hmm, I would put more make-up on, for a night-show, than for work." She was teasing them; the guys glared at her, but the makeup girl giggled.

After that, they sat down in the greenroom before it was time to head for studio 6. There were a couple of more guests, but none Isa was familiar with. They ended up small talking for a while before an assistant came to fetch Isa. She wished them good luck, got a kiss from Morgan and left.

Isa was directed to one of the soft red armchairs in the studio and smiled when the cue music started. Jimmy Fallon walked in and begun to crack some starting jokes. The audience was in a really good mood and Isa had a great time even before the two vampires were announced.

Then the audience went crazy.

Morgan and Robert waved generously to the audience and slumped down and the interview started with some easy Q&A before the real questions. "What is it with this show's sexy vampires that make people yell for more?"

"You're the one calling us sexy, Jimmy!" Robert had his wicked grin, Isa laughed and shook her head while the audience cheered and laughed.

"Well, you're just gonna ask them," Morgan said with a nod toward the audience, making Isa laugh and roll her eyes. The cameramen did a swoop over the audience and Isa was scared that he would zoom in on her, but luckily they didn't and the show proceeded.

"So Robert how does it feel to actually play a part where you're not half naked?" The audience applauded and laughed and both guys laughed. Isa laughed as well, remenicing when Robert told her about the toga in his last film.

"I'm not cold anymore," he joked.

"I have learned that the two of you aren't exactly nice guys. Do people hate you for what your character does?"

"Well you'll have to ask them!" Morgan said, making the crowd go absolutely crazy, making a deafening noise.

"So what if vampires really existed, would you wanna be one?"

"Of course I would! Think of what you'd be able to do. You could just compel people to do everything for you." Morgan's statement made Isa grind her teeth, and when her face was really grim, Morgan happened to look straight at her. His reaction was interesting, he really lost track and had to fight to regain focus. Robert managed to take hold of the situation by agreeing with him and talk about all the things you could trick people to give away.

The studio crew signaled to Isa to leave and she managed to get backstage just before the guys left the stage for her to see them again without getting every screaming audience-member with her. The guys were laughing and joking while walking backstage. Morgan was quickly by her side and gave her a hug.

Robert teased. "Hey, what's with the evil eye?" Robert put his arm around her shoulders. "You can't mess with his head like that!"

Isa felt bad at once, making it hard for him to do his job. "Sorry about that! Maybe it's better if I stay home," she muttered.

"But you're cute when you pout." Morgan's smile instantly spread to her face. "Let's go home." He put his arm around her shoulders and that's how they left the building, both guys with their arms around her, protectively from the press. A cab waited outside to take them home and they hurried inside while the cameras flashed.

Crystal and David were lounging on the couch when Robert, Morgan and Isa arrived home. The three of them sat down; Morgan with his arm on the backrest behind Isa's back, and talked for a short while. The feeling that Isa would suddenly wake up from this dream started to subside; this seemed to be reality after all. He didn't feel like Vincent or Morgan Grey anymore, he was just Morgan; at least as long as she didn't look at him.

The scary feeling of him being a famous actor and her being persona non grata returned when they said goodnight and walked to her room. That night Morgan snuggled closer and snuck his arm around her, but wished her a good night and both of them did their best to fall asleep.

~ ~ ~

Isa was already awake when his phone signaled that it was time to get up. He was really quick to turn it off, but saw that she was awake.

"Good morning." His tone was kind and friendly.

"You snore." Isa intended it to be said with humor, but his smile disappeared fast.

"I do not!"

"Do to!" she replied childishly.

"Well, I didn't want to tell you yesterday, but you moan in your sleep."

"I do not!" she laughed.

"Yes, you do. You moan and you say my name." He moved closer to her in bed. "It's hot!"

"Oh you mean like; 'Oh Morgan..." Isa mumbled soft. "...stop snoring!" she added in a sharp tone and giggled.

The way she pronounced his name did things to him. It sounded French, but Morgan had heard it several times now and knew it was her Swedish accent. "You are so gonna get it, when I get home from work, little lady," he threatened and she giggled.

"Do you want me to have dinner ready when you get home?" Isa asked in a mocking tone and giggled. "What are we doing, playing house?" she added with a smile.

"I have no idea," he admitted honestly with a big smile. "But I like it." He gave her a light kiss, got out of bed and headed for the shower again.

She was still in bed when Morgan got back; once again Isa wondered when she would wake up from this bizarre dream.

"Honey pie, have you seen my pants and my shirt?" Morgan was still in the playful mode.

"Yes sweetie, I packed them in your suitcase." She played along.

"See? That's why I married you." He kept joking. "Now... get out of bed and make me some breakfast," he ordered playfully.

"Oh" We're married already, are we? Then you better remind me about our wedding, because I seemed to have forgotten all about that," she laughed.

"Sorry, I have to get to work. We'll talk about our wedding later." His eyes were sparkling with humor as he got dressed, and Isa really liked this playful Morgan; her Morgan.

"Okay, so you'll tell me about our wedding later today?"

A discreet knock on the door interrupted their conversation, making Morgan kiss her and then leave her there in bed.

She had decided the day before that she wouldn't join them, but watch the show at home on the TV. Way after the guys had left, she pulled a robe on, took some breakfast with her to slump down by the TV where her mother and David joined her. They smiled at each other when the guys appeared on screen and laughed at the jokes.

"I like Morgan he's a good guy," Isa's mother said. "He's respectful toward you and he seems to be a great friend to Robert."

"Yes, I like him too," Isa mumbled, not really knowing how long this dream would last.

David agreed while leaving the room for breakfast before he had to get to his office.

The interview on TV had proceeded for a while when Isa heard the host start to discuss their personal life, and before she knew it there was a picture of her, with the arms wrapped around Robert and then shocked she found herself on another picture right next to it, with her arms around Morgan.

Krystal's eyes flickered between her daughter and the TV, while Isa's eyes were huge and her mouth open.

The guys just looked at each other, like it was perfectly normal and explained that they would not comment on their personal life. The host said that they didn't seem surprised.

"No, she's a friend of both of ours," Robert answered, ending the discussion.

The final ten minutes of the show was luckily about their work on the show together.

"So, as I have been told, you two aren't exactly friends."

"Well, that's just on the show. As you can see we're good friends, off set." The guys looked at each other and laughed and the host could only agree. They got into a conversation about why the phenomenon vampires had gotten such a revival and why they are presented as beautiful and sexy rather than scary, and after that they got to discuss the dynamic between their characters.

"What makes your vampire so cool?"

"Well, he dresses cool; he gets all the girls and the best lines." Morgan did his best to answer in a respectful tone towards the writers and crew on the show. "But, Hans is the really bad one; he's the one the other vampires has nightmares about."

Robert just smiled wickedly as his character would. "The ripper..."

In about an hour later the guys got home; by then Isa's mother had left for work but Isa was still on the couch, fully dressed now. She almost bounced off that couch to meet them. "Where did they get those photos?!" She was more than a little shook up.

"I'm glad they didn't show worse photos!" Morgan said relieved with a smile at her.

"There are worse?" The shocked tone in her voice was easily detected.

Morgan took her face between his hands. "I remember me kissing you, a couple of days ago. Wasn't it by a window?"

"Morgan! By the windows?! What were you thinking?" Robert was scowling him, asking if he was unaware of his own position in the tabloids.

Morgan looked at the girl in front of him and remembered exactly what he had been thinking about. He just had to kiss her, either she was with Robert or not. He just had to have her. "I'm sorry; it could have been Vincent..." Morgan snickered, trying to put the blame on someone else.

Robert rolled his eyes.

"Well it wasn't me," Isa lied, with such an obvious look in her eyes.

"No it wasn't you; you were just 'Mother Teresa' weren't you?" Morgan teased while sliding his arms around her waist. "Innocent as a baby..."

Isa laughed to hide the way that she still had a hard time to controlling her emotions in his presence.

The afternoon was spent on the couch, just the three of them; Isa in Morgan's arms, feeling like a million bucks. Morgan had suggested that they'd look at Robert's latest movie, but got a taunt back that perhaps "Possibilities" was a better suggestion; preferably one of the earlier episodes before he was casted. Morgan was quick to suggest something else.

It felt amazingly good, just snuggling on the couch, relaxing and joking around.

After dinner with Krystal and David, Robert got a phone call from a friend, asking him to come join them at some club. Morgan and Isa just looked at each other and nodded a bit reluctantly when Robert asked if they wanted come. They changed clothes and it wasn't long till a cab took them to the right place.

Outside the club, there were paparazzi flashing cameras in their faces, and Robert and Morgan did their best to hide Isa's face while the bouncer helped them inside.

"Hey Rob! Nice interview this morning!" Robert's friend Jason grinned wide, slapping Rob on the back, without noticing Morgan or Isa behind him. "So, who's the gorgeous blond on the pictures?"

Jason's expression was hilarious as he caught Isa's face, walking hand in hand with Morgan. His mouth fell open, which only made Robert provoke him more, by putting his arm around her shoulder, the same time Morgan slid his arm around her waist.

"You mean this gorgeous blond?"

Isa turned to Robert. "Sorry love." She kissed him on the cheek. "It's a Morgan-day today," she said with a smile.

"Oh yeah, sorry man!" Robert said, removing his arm from her and patting Morgan on the back.

She reached for Jason's hand and introduced herself. His eyes were almost bulging out of their sockets.

Afterwards, Isa wondered how on earth she managed to keep her face and not laugh out loud, when Jason definitely dropped his face. She had really loved to provoke him, and the guys were of course professionals; actors.

They joined Jason's friends on the couch in a private booth and one of the girls eyes were wide as saucers when she recognized the guys. Morgan got to the bar for beers and Robert put his arm around Isa's shoulders. She smiled and whispered in his ear. "It looks like she's ready to kill me.".

"Yes love," he answered, implying the conversation had been something entirely different. Isa had to bite her lip, not to giggle.

Morgan returned and Robert removed casually his arm, so Morgan could put his arm around the girl again. It was such a natural movement, Isa was sure it looked like that's how they always operated. They clunked their bottles together and took a sip.

Robert, Jason and Mike, the third guy joked and laughed when Jason finally recovered from the initial shock. Morgan and Isa did their best to keep up the conversation, but Isa got a little distracted by the girl in front of her, looking like she wanted to scratch her eyes out. The fact that Morgan sat there looking like a God might have a little something to do with it as well.

This was their first appearance out together and they had a hard time keeping their hands off each other. Isa glanced up at him now and then and just wanted to curl into his arms. No, who was she kidding; she wanted to rip the clothes from his delicious body.

There was really good music playing in that club and Robert pulled Isa up on the dance floor. She noticed delightfully that he was really good at it. They laughed and had a good time. Later that night Morgan and Isa were up on the dance floor, swaying to some slow tune in each other arms.

None of them noticed the discreet photographers in the club, not until later.

Morgan and Isa were getting worn from the long day, and perhaps by the sleepless night and took a cab home, while Robert stayed with his friends. It was the perfect end when they crawled under the covers and fell asleep in each other's arms.

~ ~ ~

They woke up the next morning in a silent room, where no beeping phone disturbed them. A simple look into each other's eyes had them kissing deeply. The air was still humming between them, despite the fact that they had spent both day and night together for several days by now.

Her hand was shivering as it slid over his muscular chest and down over his stomach. Isa could feel his muscles getting tense and he inhaled deep. His hand slid under her tank-top and up along her spine, making her pull a ragged breath. With a hand on his shoulder, she urged him to lie on his back while she sat astride his hips. The look in her eyes was serious and her intentions clear when she pulled the tank-top over her head and sat topless before him.

A dark sound deep in his throat revealed as clear as his facial expression that he liked what he saw. The sound made Isa tingle all over and she felt strangely powerful being able to turn him on like this. Slowly he slid his hands up over her stomach, between her breasts to the neck and down over her shoulders along her sides. She bent down and kissed him passionately.

"What are you doing?" he mumbled while she lay down on top of him. He looked like he was enjoying that she was the one in control, but rolled over, putting himself on top of her and stopped the kissing. "Wait a minute. I will not do this in your mother's house." His voice was rough and the excitement showed in his dark eyes.

"Technically..." Isa mumbled and kept kissing him. "It's Robert's father's house."

He stopped abruptly. "Major turn-off!" he hissed with a mirroring expression to the tone. Isa started to giggle and he put a finger on her lips, glancing at the door.

"What does your vampire-hearing tell you?" she whispered in a teasing way.

"That you shouldn't be half-naked in bed with me." He smiled and wiggled his eyebrows. She laughed and they lay close together with his arms around her.

With minimal conversation they enjoyed the solitude together. Albeit Isa's initiative, they revelled in the feeling of skin on skin and perhaps it was for the best not to engage further, Isa thought.

This was their last day together.

After showers and breakfast, they escaped out on town. They walked hand in hand, just enjoying being together and found themselves in Central Park, where people were strolling around, walking their dogs or running past them. No crazy photographers or paparazzi had been chasing them and they kept walking into the park.

A bit further, an older couple rented out picnic baskets despite the chilly weather. Morgan and Isa watched each other and smiled. Both of them had desperately felt trapped in her mother's apartment, and wanted to be alone somewhere else than in her room.

Isa was supposed to be at the airport to go back to Sweden at nine in the evening and Morgan and Robert had booked their flights to Alabama to match that time.

Morgan gave the older couple a generous bill and took a picnic basket and a blanket which they laid out on the grass away from the path where they sat down. Isa had her back leaned on him with his arms around her; watching people walking on the path a bit away.

"Where do you live?" he asked soft, They realized that they didn't know much about each other.

"In a minor town called Lund in the south of Sweden."

"Lund." He tasted the word with a smile. He wanted to know more and Isa told him a bit about the thousand year old town fairly close to the sea facing Denmark. He made a mental note to himself to check it on google maps when he got home.

He told that he had a house in Saint Petersburg, Florida. "It's just north of Tampa Bay, out by the ocean."

Isa sighed. "I would love to live by the ocean, I live in town."

"I don't spend enough time in my house, though. I work a lot..." His voice got a little sad. They sat in silence for a while, with her head leaned against him. "I don't want to go home," Isa said silent.

"I don't want you to go, either."

Suddenly she sat upright and turned to him. "How did this happen?" She made a totally unnecessary gestured between them.

"I have no idea," he answered chuckling.

"Is this something you do a lot? Go out with girls like this; stalkers like me?" she added, making him laugh.

"You're a stalker?"

"Yeah, a huge Morgan Gray stalker. I even forced my mom to infiltrate Robert's family three years ago, so I could get close to you," Isa joked.

Laughing he commented. "I thought this was my idea."

"There you go, see how good I am at this!"

He laughed, making her laugh with him. They sat in silence, studying each other a while before he asked. "So, do you stalk a lot of people?"

She smiled. "No, you're pretty much the one."

"I'm glad to hear that."

They opened the picnic basket and found filled bagels, a bottle of white wine and glasses. It was a very nice idea to be able to rent a little picnic basket and a blanket to have a spontaneous picnic in the park. It would have been even better if it had been summer or at least warmer than the meak sixty degrees they had now.

But now Isa had Morgan.

They spent the better part of the day relaxing there on the sunny blanket in the park and had a really good time. Morgan took a few pictures of Isa with his iPhone and some with hers; none of them wanted to get back to the apartment. Finally they reached the time where they were forced to go, so they returned the basket, thanking the couple and took a cab back.

The last hours they spent having dinner with Robert and the family. Ellen and Bryan had come over to meet Isa before she left, and they were curious at this Morgan-guy by her side. He made a good impression even with Robert's sister and time flew by much too quick, soon it was time to pack the bags and head off to the airport.

When they arrived there, it was once again time to deal with the photographers flashing and their questions. The three were followed on their way from the cab to the check in desk. Isa did what she could to make herself as small as possible, and the guys did the opposite to attract attention away from her.

The smartest thing would have been to arrive a couple of minutes before or after these two good looking guys, Isa thought, where she went with both of their arms around her and her eyes firm on the ground, hoping she wouldn't trip and fall.

When they finally got through the security check, Isa could breathe again.

There was a VIP-section that Isa never knew about and that was where the guys took her. Here, no screaming fans risked to interrupt their last delicate moments. The two guys kept her company as long as they could, but their plane was leaving half an hour before her and that might have been the longest half hour in Isa's life.
