CHAPTER - 36

"Move!" Mishti nudged me when I stood next to her in front of the mirror.

"I'm getting ready." I roam my eyes on her, the navy blue and white Saree with an off-shoulder blouse hugging her curves flawlessly.

"You are checking your wife out." She rectified me as she brushed her long wavy hairs.

Dismissing her remark I button my white shirt as I fold my sleeves till my elbows.

"You are checking your husband out," I smirk when I feel Mishti's gape on me.

She cleared her throat and looked away. Taking my navy blue blazer I put it on me, grabbing a comb from Mishti I brush my hairs.

"Idiot!" She gritted her teeth as she tried to pick a pair of earrings.

"Lemme help you." I make her sit on the chair as I peek in her accessories.

"No need, I'll wear these white earrings." She grabbed a pair of diamond earrings.

"Suits you." I gleamed at her.

"Okay, you are making me feel self-conscious go and sit somewhere till I get ready." She whirled her eyes at me as I keep staring at her.

"Mrs Rajvansh, this watch looks good." I take the watch from the dressing table. Sitting on my knees I put it around her wrist.

"Thank you for helping me, now sit quietly for some time." She commented in a sarcastic tone as she slapped my arm. I sit silent as she did her touch-up.

Things are going quite outstanding. The first good thing that happened in the morning was coffee by Mishti's hand then breakfast made by her and Mom.

Presently, we are getting ready to go to Badi maa's home. It's almost 1 in the afternoon, I plan to take Mishti for an ice-cream date while returning from Badi maa's residence. Hopefully, we don't get disturbed.

"Done!" Mishti stood up as she extended her hand. Clasping her hand I stood on my feet.

"You look beautiful, Mrs Rajvansh." I wink at her as a smile twinkled on my face.

She lifted an eyebrow at me as she tried to hide her flustered state making me conceal my smile.

"You look good too, Mr Rajvansh." She reacted as she inched forth to fix my collar.

"Thanks!" I smile at her when she steps back. Swerving around she takes a pair of heels from her stuff.

"You know surprisingly everything is going so perfect." She enunciates sitting on the corner of the bed as she wore her heels.

"Is it?" I sit next to her wearing my shoes.

"Yes!" She gleamed then a frown formed on her face, "Do you realize how irritating you are? Hell, while waking you up I got a feeling like I was waking up a baby."

"Well, I was doing so that you don't get irritated when our kids trouble you," I smirk as I slide my feet in the shoes. She stared at me blankly.

"I hope you realize we haven't done anything last night which may give us kids." She arched an eyebrow at me.

"Of course, I do remember. Last night is the result of why I'm feeling so fresh now, feels like I have slept for years. But some other nights may give us kids." A smile carved on her lips listening to me and I couldn't exactly point out why that smile arose.

"How was it when you went down?" I try to lead the conversation, she's new to this just like me so we should lead each other because one can't do it.

"I will be honest, I was damn nervous when I went down." She tucked her hair strings behind her ear, "Thankfully Neha was there studying, she glimpsed me and bounced gaining Masi and Mom's attention."

I make a mental note to thank Neha when I meet her alone.

"Masi was making breakfast and I just helped her a little, she wasn't permitting me to do."

"Then Mom was getting you coffee so I asked her if I can take and she agreed." All the while there was a smile on her lips which I liked-- no loved.

My gaze falls behind her as I see her stuff kept just like how it was when she came.

"You haven't arranged your clothes." I point out, "There's an empty place for your clothes in the wardrobe." I speak out letting her know if she's not aware.

"I know." She twisted to look at her stuff as she scraped her forehead then left a sigh.

"Only if you need, I can help you out in arranging though I suck at it," I spoke without thinking twice.

"Thanks, I don't want to let this help go away even if you suck at it." She giggled.

"Let's leave now, we'll arrange after we are back." Mishti got up as she took her clutch from the table.

"Uh, you be down I'll be there in few minutes." I scratch the back of my neck slightly nervous by her reaction.

"Don't say to me you are sitting behind that laptop again." She kept her hands on her hips grimacing at me.

"Actually, yes. I'll just check the mailbox to see if I have got the reply."

"Okay, 5 minutes are fine?" She arched an eyebrow at me.

"If there is no reply 3 minutes and if I have got a reply I'll be there in 15-20 minutes." I squat on the couch taking my laptop.

"Fine, I'll be down."

Checking the mailbox I quickly read the reply. I forward it to Kunal asking him to take care of it.

Shutting the laptop I scooted down the stairs. I stroll my eyes around the hall to find Neha and Mishti relaxing on the couch as they laugh at something.

"What are you guys laughing at?" I stood in front of them.

"None of your business." Neha rolled her eyes while Mishti nodded her head.

"Oh, my wife is very much my business." I deliver her a pointed look as Mishti stood up.

"Uh, uh." Neha cackled as she looked between me and Mishti, "You guys look beautiful."

"Thanks, where's everyone?" I enquired with a doubtful look.

"Mom and Dad have gone already went to drop her till the airport." She recited with a bored expression.

"Neha, you can assemble us. What will you do alone?" Mishti spoke softly.

"Thanks, Mishti. I am going to watch Netflix and sleep. That's the only thing I find cool now." She got up as she walked towards the steps.

Twirling around she smirked, "Spend the night out guys, without protection, I wish to watch kids run around the home."

The climate turned tight-lipped before she chuckled and strolled towards her room.

"Uh, come." I gesture Mishti to follow me which she did quietly.

As soon as we both rasp our seatbelts I begin the car.

"Mami and Mama don't stay here, do they?" Mishti doubted, I could feel confusion in her tone.

"They stay abroad for business work. Sometimes they come here for Neha." I respond fixing my gaze on the road.

The ride went all silent with both of us looting glances at each other.

The tires squealed as I halt the car in front of the magnificent-looking compartment. Getting out we walk in together.

"Hey!" Sara chirped as soon as we entered the gate, looks like she was waiting for us. I look amazed to find her here.

"Hello!" Mishti cuddled her, "I didn't know you'll be coming here."

"Rajshree Aunty was alone so I and Fouzy decided to come and help her. Since it is Sunday Asad was also free so he came with us." She gleamed at Mishti. Nodding her head Mishti walked inside.

"How was the night?" Sara wriggled her eyebrows at me.

"It was peaceful!" I throw my arm around her shoulder as we walked in.

"Uh, peaceful in what way?" She halted walking as she stared at me curiously.

"I had a great sleep after weeks. It was peaceful in that way." We both chuckled at my humorous tone.

"Well, I haven't forgotten the stunt you pulled with my phone." I falsify glare at her while she grinned.

"But all the fun is destroyed! Mishti managed to spill everything out of my mouth." She sulked cutely looking away.

"Aww, no problem." I grab her cheek as we both giggled.

"That means she is aware we all worked full night?" Everything makes sense now why Mishti didn't pay any attention to me at night. She wanted me to rest!

"Of course!" Sara shrugged as we walked in.

✧✧✧

The hall filled with laughter as we all share the incredible events of our lives.

"I had a strong belief during my childhood that if I did not eat chocolate before the exam it is going to be the worst exam." Sara batted her lashes as she sat on the floor exhausted by laughing.

"Just like that Mishti believed in childhood that whenever thunderstorm occurs god is taking our picture." Badi maa laughed as Mishti hid her face in my shoulder.

I look down to gaze at her pink face, she is been embarrassed so much since afternoon. Half of the credit goes to me for always attaching to her other half goes to Badi maa for reminiscing all her childhood memories.

"That's the fact, we all are silly in childhood." Foziah relaxed her head on the arm of the couch as she strived to control back her laughter.

"Abir, you didn't say anything about your childhood." Asad raised an eyebrow at me.

Badi maa said about Mishti, Sara and Asad said about Foziah, Foziah said about Asad and Sara while I was left alone peacefully until Asad pointed out.

"I don't remember any silly thing." I shrugged trying to think something.

"Oh come on, CM." Sara looked at me with expectations.

"I had a crazy belief that if I see the sky and imagine something I'm going to get that." A lazy smile tugged on my lips as I recall those days, "It was a miracle or what I don't know but most of the time it used to happen. Half of my wishes were fulfilled in that way."

"How cute!" Sara cupped her cheeks as she stared at me.

I tilt my head to look at Mishti who is already looking at me. I wriggle my eyebrows at her to which she smiled and looked away.

"I think, I should leave now." Asad got up as he stretched his arms.

I glance at Mishti, she nodded her head as she got up. "Even we should leave or we'll be late." I got up while Mishti reflected on my actions.

"Time has flown so hastily, you came in the afternoon and see now it's 7:30!" Sara muttered as she fondled Mishti.

We all leave out, Mishti stood behind, assuming she wants to have a word alone with Badi maa I walk out and wait for her.

Minutes later the mother-daughter came out as they giggled at something.

"Okay, see you soon." Mishti voiced as she approached me.

"Take care." Badi maa waved us as we drove the car.

"Thanks!" I mumble as we drove a little far.

"For what?" Mishti looked at me bewildered.

"For letting me rest last night." I steal a glance at her.

"Oh!" She shifted on her seat resting her back on the window, "Sara told you, didn't she?"

"Yeah, she did and you can't scold her for it because you have almost stolen Kunal from me." I take left to reach the ice cream parlor.

"As if my scolding will prohibit her from giving you my information. Besides, Kunal is a great help than Sara because he has the exact information."

"I never seek information from Sara about you," I confessed with a shrug.

"Whatever! Stop the car near any juice bar, please." I take a sharp right turn after listening to her.

Bye-bye ice cream date!

"Why juice bar?" I enquire as we pause for the signal to turn green.

"I want to drink Apple juice." She looked on, "That's my favorite one."

I nod turning on the car, "Why Apple juice?" I ask resisting my need to ask the other question - Can we go on an ice cream date?

"I don't know as a child that was my favorite."

"I can get it as a child my favorite was sweets and my love for sweets is still the same." I try to fluctuate my mind, "Saying of sweet now abruptly I have craving for sweets."

"Let's do one thing, I'll take you to my favorite bakery after we drink juice. I assure you those are the sweetest sweets you'll ever eat."

"Sometimes I feel like my love for sweets has made me sweetest, haha!"

"Some of my favorites are Miniature cheesecake, Cannoli, Chocolate strawberries, Cookie sandwiches with icing in the middle, rolls, pies, pastries, muffins---"

"Please stop!!" I shriek the car in front of the juice bar as Mishti puffed infuriated.

"You were squealing like a pregnant lady! Fulfill your cravings in my absence because I say 'No!' to sweets." She looked at me amused.

"Uh, sweets are so sweet." I scratch the back of my neck.

"Yeah yeah they are! That's why they are called sweets." Mishti rolled her eyes at me as she turned to unlock the door.

"I forgot to tell you." She turned around, "Today's night will be according to you."

Getting out of the car I followed her, "If that's what you need then we are going to arrange your stuff." I clasp her hand when men overhaul their gazes on her.

"I am impressed!" Mishti chuckled as she stood in front of the cashier.

"Two Apple juice please." She smiled at the girl who took the order.

"Impressed for?" I look at her as we strive towards a table.

"Controlling your desires." Lounging on the table she looked around the juice bar.

"What do you mean?" My eyebrows knitted in confusion. Was she expecting me to fulfill my desires tonight?

"If I was you, I would have first fulfilled my cravings." She clasped her hands on the table.

"I didn't get you." I shift on my seat as I lean forward, "Could you elaborate please?"

"If your mind had switched to bedroom desires then you seriously need to take a hot shower and clean your thoughts before speaking to me." She arched an eyebrow at me as she leaned ahead.

I cleared my throat, "My mind didn't go anywhere, I just didn't get you."

"Hmm." She leaned back on the chair, crossing her hands on her chest as she examined me. I try to keep my face consecutive as I find myself choking.

"Thank you!" Mishti smiled when the server got our orders.

"I simply meant that if I was you I would have rushed to eat sweets then getting you to drink Apple juice." She touched her glass with mine before taking it near her lips.

"My wife's desires are my desires!" I exclaimed with a wink before taking the glass near my lips.

If I had looked away from her I would have forfeited the way she frosted for a juncture, keeping her glass on the table she settled her already settled hairs and looked away from me.

We are Mr and Mrs Rajvansh for a reason.
