      NAGISING ako dahil sa sikat ng araw na tumatama sa mukha ko. I slowly got up and yawned. Kinusot-kusot ko ang mga mata ko at napalingon sa gilid ng kama, kung saan nakahiga si Zach kagabi. He probably woke up because the things he used last night were neatly organized. Inayos ko muna ang pinaghigaan ko bago lumabas ng kwarto at dumiretso sa banyo para maghilamos at mag mumog.

Pabalik na sana ako sa kwarto nang makitang nakangiti si Zach habang kausap si Mama sa may terrace namin. He's wearing a simple blue Nike shirt, Khaki shorts, and black Adidas slides. He looked undeniably so fresh habang ako ay hindi pa naliligo.

Kumunot noo ako nang bigla silang tumawa habang may tinitignan na parang libro. It took me a moment before I realized what they were looking at. It's my photo album! Punong-puno iyon ng mga baby pictures hanggang teenager pictures ko!

"Ma!" Hindi ko napigilan ang hindi mapasigaw at malalaki ang hakbang na lumapit sa kanila.

Sinubukan kong agawin ang photo album mula sa pagkakahawak ni Zach pero mabilis siyang tumalikod at umatras upang hindi ko matangay sa kanya ang photo album.

"What are you trying to do?" he asked, eyebrows creased.

"Akin na nga 'yan!" I said, jumping to get it.

"Try to get it from me, then," he said, grinning.

Tumalon ako pero bigo akong makuha ang album. "Zachariah! Ibalik mo sa'kin 'yan! Ma, tulong naman, 'oh!" sabi ko at lumingon kay Mama.

Umiling si Mama habang nakangiting pinagmamasdan kami. Parang nanonood lang si Mama ng teleserye, ah. Napasinghap ako nang tumakbo papunta sa kusina si Zach. Mabilis ko siyang sinundan pero nasa bukana pa lang ako ng kusina nang tumambad na sa akin ang photo album.

He handed it to me as if he didn't mean to hide it from me earlier. Kunot-noo ko siyang tinignan nang makitang malaki ang ngiti niya habang tinatago ang parehong kamay niya sa likod.

"Ano 'yan? May kinuha ka, no?" I asked, accusing him.

He shook his head, trying not to laugh. "Nothing,"

"Weh? Patingin nga!" Sinubukan kong pumunta sa likuran niya pero mabilis siyang tumakbo palabas ng kusina. "Silvestre!" I yelled.

Naabutan ko siyang nakaupo sa sofa at nanonood ng cartoons na pinapalabas tuwing umaga. Nilapitan ko siya at kinuha ang parehong kamay niya. Wala akong nakita!

He looked at me, chuckling. "I told you I didn't get any of your pictures,"

"Subukan mo lang talaga. Patay ka sa'kin!"

"Patayin sa sarap?" he replied, his lips forming into a smirk.

I felt my cheeks redden. "Umagang-umaga at ang harot mo!" I pinched his abs, which was a wrong move because I felt a throbbing sensation on my feminity!

On the table there's a plate of sunny side up, fried rice, tapa. May tatlong maliit na mug na may lamang kape. This is heaven!

"Nandyan na pala kayo. Maupo na kayo para makakain na tayo ng sabay-sabay." Zach and I looked at each other before we sat next to each other. "Aalis nga pala ako pagkatapos kumain dahil mamimili ako ng mga gulay at ibang rekados para sa handaan ni Paolo mamaya."

"Ma, samahan na kita."  I volunteer, but she shook her head.

"Hindi na. Maiwan na lang kayo dito ni Zach at kayo na ang bahala maglagay ng mga disenyo sa bakuran. Maya maya lang ay darating na rin naman ang mga nirentahan kong lamesa at upuan para sa mga bisita," sabi ni Mama.

I exhaled. "Okay, kami na po ang bahala dito, Ma."

Katulad nga ng sinabi ni Mama ay umalis na siya pagkatapos kumain. Ako ang naghuhugas ng mga plato habang si Zachariah ang taga banlaw. I froze when Zach suddenly hugged me from behind. When Zach finished taking a bath, siya na ang nagbuhat ng mga tables at chairs sa bakuran namin. Nilagyan namin ng blue table cloth ang mga lamesa tapos pinagtulungan namin isabit ni Zach ang mga lobo sa bawat upuan.

"Aba! Ang gwapo naman ng boyfriend mo, Riel!"

Sabay kaming napalingon ni Zach nang may magsalita. Si Aling Lolita pala, isa sa mga kapit bahay namin.

"Kaibigan ko po," pagtatama ko.

"Asus! Ganyan ang sinabi ni Bebang sa akin noong pinakilala niya si Dodong bilang kaibigan," sagot naman niya. Si Bebang ay ang bunsong anak na babae ni Aling Lolita.

"We're just friends po," sabi ni Zach.

"Aba, Foreigner pala ito! Kaya pala sobrang gwapo mo, hijo! Swerte mo naman, Riel!"

Napangiwi na lang ako at nagpaalam na papasok na kami sa loob. Pagkapasok sa loob ay inayos na namin ni Zach ang mga binili naming candy at mga biscuits para ilagay sa loob ng loot bags. Ipamimigay ito sa mga kaklase ni Pao-pao mamaya.

"Nandito na po ako!"

Zach and I quickly glanced at the door when we heard a bubbly voice. Napangiti agad ako nang makita so Pao-pao na tumatakbo papasok. Umaalog at bahagyang namumula ang matatambok niyang pisngi. He's wearing his school uniform— It's dark blue shorts, a white polo, and red id lace. His spiderman backpack was in his tiny back.

"Ate ko!" Agad siyang yumakap sa akin. "Hello, Kuya pogi!" Bati niya nang makita si Zach.

"Hi, buddy," Zach greeted him and did a fist bump.

I held his chubby cheeks. "Kumusta school, Pao? Nasaan si Mama?"

"Sa labas po. Kausap niya si Kuya Jiggy." His eyes went down to the candies scattered on the coffee table. "Wow, candy! Pwede pahingi?"

"Pwede naman basta magpalit ka muna ng damit mo," Pao-pao is a grade 1 student studying in a public school. Napakabibo niyang bata kaya palagi siyang nangunguna sa klase nila.

Mabilis siyang tumango, his cheeks bounced. "Yes, Ma'am! Ate, kailan ko po pwede i-open 'yong gift niyo ni kuya Zach? Gusto ko na po makita,"

"You can open it later, buddy," Zach replied, smiling.

"Okay po! Bibihis muna ako!" Tumakbo papasok ng kwarto si Pao-pao.

"He's adorable." He slowly turned his gaze at me, he smiled.

I beamed. "Syempre, sa akin nagmana," biro ko, he chuckled.

Pumasok si Mama na maraming bitbit na plastic kaya tumayo agad si Zach at tinulungan itong ipasok ang mga pinamili sa kusina. Tumayo naman ako para tumulong sa pagluluto. Magluluto kami ng Spaghetti, Lumpiang Shanghai, Hotdog with marshmallows, at dalawa pang putahe.

"Bumili nga pala ako ng Suman de Baler at pakumbo kanina sa palengke. Dalhan mo sina Zach sa sala," sabi ni Mama.

Ang pakumbo ay gawa sa coconut, brown o kaya white sugar. It's like Bukayo. Ang suman naman dito sa baler ay kakaiba dahil kulay red-ish ito at minsan pa nga ay purple-ish.

"Sige, Ma." kumuha ako ng mga pagkain at dinala sa living room. 

I smiled when I saw Zach and Pao-pao on the living room, pareho silang nakaupo sa sahig. Pao-pao is unwrapping Zach's gift while Zach, on the other hand is helping my brother.

Naglakad ako papalapit sa kanila. "Zach," I called him, and he quickly shifted his gaze to me.

"Yes? Do you need any help in the kitchen?"

I shook my head. "Hindi. Pinabibigay ni Mama," Inabot ko ang mga pagkain. "Tikman mo. Gawang Baler 'yan."

His lips curved. "Thanks, Milady. Tell your mom I said thank you,"

I bit my lips, nodding. "Sige. Ikaw na muna bahala kay Bochog," sabi ko sabay turo kay Pao-pao.

He nodded. "Don't worry, I'll babysit him,"

I looked everywhere before I bent down and gave him a quick kiss. "Thank you," I whispered.

"I think your mom is looking—" he whispered, my eyes widened. I quickly turned just to see no one.

I looked at Zach, glaring at him. "W-Wala naman, 'eh!"

He bit the inside of his cheeks, stifling a smile. "It's a prank," he said teasingly.

Hindi ako makapaniwalang tumitig sa kanya. I shook my head and turned my back on him. Bumalik na lang ulit ako sa kusina.

"Happy birthday, Paolo! Happy birthday! Happy birthday! Happy birthday, Pao-pao!"

Everyone singing a happy birthday song to my brother, habang nasa pinakagitna siya kasama si Mama. Zach and I sat in the back, away from the guests while eating. Nilantakan kaagad niya ang nilutong Spaghetti at chicken barbecue na niluto ni Mama. Habang ako ang nagluto sa Menudo at Lumpiang Shanghai. 

"This is my new favorite dish," tinignan ko ang tinuro niya at nakita ang chicken barbecue. I rolled my eyes.

"Sinabi mo rin 'yan kanina sa Menudo," I scoffed.

He smirked. "What can I say? Pareho silang masarap," he shrugged.

Napailing na lang ako at tumayo. "Samahan mo ako. Kuha pa tayo ng pagkain," I said, and he looked at me as if I said something bad. "B-Bakit?"

His eyes narrowed at me. "I thought you won't go for a second round?"

I bit the inside of my cheeks, and my nose scrunched. "Sinabi ko ba iyon?" I said, scratching my head.

He nods. "Still hungry? Let's go for a second round, then." He held my hand at naglakad kami papunta sa table kung saan nakalagay ang mga pagkain.

Nagsandok ako ng pagkain at nilagay sa plato ko, gano'n rin ang ginawa ni Zach. I pulled the hem of his shirt when I saw an ice cream vendor outside. 

"Zach, Ice cream! Tara bili tayo," I pointed in the direction of the vendor outside.

He nodded at sabay kaming lumapit sa tindero.

"Hello po, how much is the ice cream?" He asked politely, bitbit pa namin pareho ang mga plato namin.

"Sampu ang nakalagay sa cone at bente pesos kapag may kasamang tinapay,"

"What do you like to have?" Zach glanced at me.

"Iyong may tinapay ang gusto ko," sabi ko at tinuro iyong tinapay.

"Akala ko ako," he whispered, chuckling.

Napangiwi ako at mahina siyang siniko. "Manahimik ka nga," I scoffed. "Kuya, dalawa nga pong ice cream iyong nakalagay sa tinapay," sabi ko at sumilip sa dalawang silver container. Ube Cheese at Chocolate ang flavor!

Tumango naman ang tindero at akmang magsasandok na ng ice cream nang pigilan siya ni Zachariah. Pareho kami ng tindero na nagtatakang napalingon sa kanya.

"Uy, bakit? Ako naman ang magbabayad," sabi ko.

He glanced at me, smiling. Then, he quickly turned his gaze to the vendor. "Sir, can I just buy the whole container, including the cones and buns for the..." Lumingon siya sa loob kung saan kumakain ang mga bisita. "Kids and guests?" he added.

My lips parted. "Seryoso ka ba?" I whispered.

He nodded. "I'm definitely sure. So, Can I?"

"Oo naman po, Sir! Salamat po at maaga akong makakauwi ngayon sa pamilya ko," mangiyak-ngiyak na sabi ng tindero.

Aasawahin ko na talaga itong si Zach! Charot! Fubu lang po!

Pumasok saglit si Zach sa loob para kuhanin ang wallet niya sa kwarto ko. When he came back, nagbayaad kaagad siya sa tindero at hindi na kinuha ang sukli. Tinawag ko ang lahat ng bisita at pinaalam na pwede silang kumuha ng Ice cream for free.

"Hijo, maraming salamat sa palibreng Ice cream mo," sabi ni Mama noong lumapit siya sa pwesto namin.

"Walang anuman po," Zach smiled politely.

Nakikinig lang ako sa mga pinag-uusapan nila. Abala masyado ang bibig ko sa pagkain. Nang umalis si Mama ay naiwan na ulit kami ni Zach.

My eyebrows creased when he chuckled while looking at me.

"You eat like a baby, Milady." I was taken aback when he wiped the side of my lips. May Ice cream pala sa gilid ng labi ko!

I bit the inside of my cheeks. "Sarap ng Ice cream, 'eh."

"Can I have a taste?" He opened his mouth telling me to feed him.

Tumango naman ako at akmang itatapat sa kanya ang kutsara nang yumuko siya upang magpantay ang mga mukha namin. I was taken aback when Zach tilted his head to kiss my lips instead. My lips parted, and my hand quickly landed on his waist, pinching him. He winced, but he still managed to smirk.

"Ice cream tastes better when it's on your mouth," he licked his lower lips.

My cheeks heated. "Baliw! Talagang iyong ice cream na nasa bibig ko ang tinikman mo!" I said, shaking my head in disbelief.

He let out a sexy laugh. "I can't wait to taste another flavor of ice cream in other parts of your body. It will be surely chef kiss." His lips broke into a grin, causing me to frowned.
