Chapter 13: Ocean Waves and Good Days

3rd Person POV:

The BAU team had been through a grueling few months, and it was long past time for some much-needed relaxation. Hotch had suggested a day at the beach, and everyone had eagerly agreed. The idea of sand, sun, and waves was a perfect way to blow off steam and recharge.

Cassia and Spencer had been secretly dating for two months now, their relationship filled with stolen glances and hidden touches. They were excited about the beach trip but knew they had to keep their relationship under wraps from the rest of the team.

Cassia stood in front of her full-length mirror, admiring her choice of swimwear. She had picked out a daring, emerald green bikini with gold accents that highlighted her tan skin and complemented her curvy figure. The top had a plunging neckline with a subtle push-up effect, and the bottoms were high-cut, accentuating her hips and long legs. She knew Spencer would appreciate the sight, even if he couldn't openly show it.

"Spence, you ready?" Cassia called out as she grabbed her beach bag.

Spencer appeared, already dressed in his swim trunks and a casual button-down shirt left open. "Yeah, let's go. The sooner we get there, the more time we have to relax."

They drove separately to the beach, arriving to find the rest of the team already setting up. Hotch and Rossi were arranging the picnic area, while JJ and Garcia laid out towels and umbrellas. Morgan was unloading a cooler filled with drinks.

"Hey, lovebirds!" Garcia waved enthusiastically as she saw Cassia and Spencer approaching. "Ready for some fun in the sun?"

Cassia smiled, her heart fluttering at Garcia's casual use of "lovebirds," unaware of how accurate it was. "Absolutely. We could all use this."

As the day progressed, everyone relaxed into the beach's rhythm. Morgan and Hotch challenged each other to a volleyball game, with JJ and Rossi acting as referees. Garcia played DJ, providing a playlist of summer hits. Cassia and Spencer joined in, their stolen touches and glances adding a secret thrill to the day.

"Cass, you want to take a walk?" Spencer asked, hoping for a few moments alone with her.

She nodded, grabbing her wide-brimmed hat and sunglasses. "Sure, that sounds nice."

They strolled down the beach, the sound of the waves and the laughter of their friends fading into the background. Finding a secluded spot behind some large rocks, Spencer turned to Cassia, his eyes filled with affection and desire.

"Finally, some alone time," he murmured, pulling her close.

Cassia grinned, running her hands up his chest. "I've been waiting for this all day."

Spencer leaned in, capturing her lips in a passionate kiss. The urgency of their hidden relationship made every moment they could steal feel incredibly intense. Cassia responded eagerly, their kiss deepening as her hands roamed his body.

"Spence," she whispered against his lips, "I need you."

He groaned softly, pulling her down onto the soft sand. "Here? Now?"

"Here and now," she confirmed, her voice husky with need.

Their hands fumbled with swimwear, the anticipation and excitement making every touch electrifying. Spencer's fingers slid down her bikini bottoms, and Cassia gasped at the contact. He quickly discarded his own trunks, his desire evident.

Cassia pulled him closer, their bodies pressing together as the world disappeared around them. The feel of his skin against hers, the taste of his kiss, everything heightened by the risk of getting caught.

"Cassia," Spencer murmured, his voice filled with love and need. "You're so beautiful."

She smiled, wrapping her legs around him as he positioned himself. "I love you, Spencer."

Their connection was intense and urgent, the culmination of weeks of hidden longing and stolen moments. Spencer entered her slowly, both of them moaning at the sensation. They moved together, their rhythm instinctive and passionate.

The waves crashed nearby, the sound mingling with their breaths and moans. Spencer's hands roamed Cassia's body, caressing and exploring every inch. Her nails dug into his back, urging him on as their passion built to a crescendo.

"Spence, I'm so close," Cassia gasped, her body trembling with anticipation.

"Me too," he replied, his voice strained with effort and pleasure.

With a final thrust, they both tumbled over the edge, their climax washing over them like the waves on the shore. They clung to each other, their breathing ragged, the intensity of the moment leaving them both breathless.

As they lay in the sand, the world slowly coming back into focus, Cassia turned to Spencer with a satisfied smile. "That was incredible."

Spencer kissed her softly, his eyes filled with love. "It always is with you." They reluctantly got dressed, making their way back to the group, who were thankfully none the wiser about their secret rendezvous.

The day at the beach continued, the team enjoying the much-needed relaxation. Cassia had just finished an intense game of volleyball with JJ and Garcia when she spotted Hotch's son, Jack, playing by the water. She quickly joined him, her laughter mingling with his as they splashed in the shallow waves. Spencer watched her, his eyes filled with admiration and affection.

Rossi, Morgan, and Hotch sat nearby, observing the scene. Rossi, always perceptive, noticed Spencer's fixed gaze on Cassia.

"Reid, you got a little drool right there," Rossi teased, nudging him.

Spencer blinked, blushing as he realized he'd been caught. "What? No, I wasn't—"

Morgan laughed, shaking his head. "Kid, you're not fooling anyone. We can all see it."

Hotch raised an eyebrow, a slight smile playing at his lips. "Something you want to tell us, Reid?"

Spencer shifted uncomfortably, glancing back at Cassia, who was now helping Jack build a sandcastle. "It's... complicated."

Rossi leaned back, his expression knowing. "Complicated, huh? Seems pretty simple to me. You like her, she likes you."

Spencer sighed, running a hand through his hair. "It's not that simple. We're colleagues. If the team found out..."

Morgan clapped a hand on his shoulder. "Look, man, we're your friends first. If something's going on, you don't have to hide it from us."

Spencer looked at each of them, their supportive expressions giving him a bit of courage. "Cassia and I have been seeing each other for a couple of months. We didn't want to make things awkward at work, so we kept it quiet."

Hotch nodded thoughtfully. "I understand the concern. But we're a team, and part of that is being there for each other. If you and Cassia are happy, that's what matters."

Rossi grinned, leaning closer. "And besides, it's been fun watching you try to hide it."

Morgan chuckled. "Yeah, man. You're like an open book."

Spencer felt a weight lift off his shoulders. "Thanks, guys. It means a lot."

As they talked, Cassia approached, brushing sand off her legs. She smiled at the group, her eyes lingering on Spencer. "What are you guys up to?"

Rossi smirked. "Oh, just giving Reid a hard time. You know, the usual."

Cassia laughed, her gaze shifting to Spencer, who smiled back at her. "Well, I hope you weren't too hard on him."

Morgan shook his head. "Nah, just a little friendly ribbing."

As the conversation continued, Cassia joined in, her presence adding a warmth to the group dynamic. Spencer watched her, his heart swelling with affection. The team's acceptance of their relationship made everything feel more manageable, more real.

After a while, Cassia excused herself to join the girls for another round of volleyball. Spencer watched her go, unable to keep the smile off his face.

Rossi nudged him again. "You know, Reid, you might want to keep those eyes in your head."

Spencer chuckled. "I'll try."

The afternoon wore on, the team taking turns playing games, swimming, and sunbathing. Cassia was in the water again, this time with Garcia and JJ, when Morgan leaned in to Spencer.

"You know, Reid, you might want to go join her. She seems to bring out a different side of you."

Spencer hesitated, then nodded. "Yeah, I think I will."

As he made his way to the water, he couldn't help but feel grateful for the support of his team. Cassia saw him coming and waved, her smile bright and inviting. He joined her, the cool water a refreshing contrast to the warmth of the sun.

They splashed and played, their laughter blending with the sound of the waves. For a moment, it felt like they were the only two people on the beach.

"You know," Cassia said, her eyes sparkling, "I'm really glad we're here today."

"Me too," Spencer replied, pulling her close. "This has been perfect."

As they shared a quiet moment, the rest of the team watched from a distance, smiles on their faces. It was clear to everyone that Spencer and Cassia were more than just colleagues—they were something special.

And as the sun began to set, painting the sky with hues of orange and pink, the BAU team felt a sense of peace and camaraderie. They knew there would be more challenges ahead, but for now, they were content to enjoy this perfect day together.
