Hoseok had been walking through the apartment doors towards his when he looked over and saw Jin sitting on the bench in the common grounds with a rather prominent frown; walking closer Hoseok decided to take a seat taking out Namjoon's ear piece from his ear and dropping it in his pocket.
"Hey," he said leaning down on his elbows that were pressed into his knees. His head turned towards the older friend.
Popping the bubble Jin had put himself in, the almost startled boy looked at him. "Hey, Hoseok, didn't see ya," he said.
"Yeah I just got here," he chuckled lightly.
"You're not at work?" He asked.
"No it's Saturday," Hoseok replies.
"Oh I forget the days of the week easily," Jin chuckles lightly but no mirth behind his smile.
"Well, maybe you should get one of those operating systems that are getting popular," he suggested trying to see what his friend thinks about it.
"I really don't have the time or money to do that right now," Jin sighed rubbing his face and looking at the ground. "I'm getting a divorce," he said softly.
"Oh," Hoseok let out a sound not knowing what to say. He loved Yoongi so it was sad for him, but Jin and his husband were bad for each other and were constantly fighting.
"It was so stupid," Jin sighed again, "the argument that finally ended it."
"What was it?" Hoseok asked feeling as if asking questions would make it worse but he wanted to know what his friend was going through.
"I didn't turn the TV off in the living room because I was still watching it while he was trying to sleep. He started yelling at me telling me that I had to turn it off and I don't know I just snapped and called him a control freak and I told him I wanted a divorce and he walked out...I got the papers today," Jin said finally looking at Hoseok and chuckling a bit. "But it's almost like a relief because it's like I can finally breath in my house,"
Hoseok nodded his head in understanding, well at least trying to. He felt like he was suffocating when Yoongi served him the papers. Nothing was even wrong that day.
He woke up in the white sheets that Yoongi adored. His love still in his arms as he drifted off again. The next time he woke up was because Yoongi was shaking him awake telling him to eat the breakfast he made for him. He didn't do that often but when he did it made Hoseok's whole day. He was in the middle of eating a bit of toast when Yoongi passed him a few papers. Not thinking anything of it he took them and read the first few lines. His eyebrows creased as he looked up to his husband who refused to look at him. "I'm sorry," the boy muttered to him. "Baby, what's wrong?" Hoseok asked dropping the papers into the plate and turning Yoongi to look at him. The smaller boy had a few tears on the edge of falling "I don't love you anymore. You never grew with me," he said. "I always wanted you to be more but you never were, I can't play believe anymore,"
"Hoseok, are you alright?" Jin asked.
The said boy looked up at Jin noticing he was crying a bit. He smiled and tried to laugh but it was too broken to be fooled. "Yeah I'm fine, um I need to go, but I'm glad you are finding yourself," he said patting Jin's back before rushing off to his apartment and locking the door behind him where he slumped into his chair putting his face in both hands letting out a soft sob and a couple of sniffles.
"Hoseok?" Namjoon called out softly as the blue lights dimmed a bit trying to be of some comfort.
"Yeah?" Hoseok asked in a weak higher pitched voice trying to keep it together; keeping his face hidden in his hands as he broke down again.
"When you took the ear piece out I could still hear what you were talking about...I know I'm nosy, but I listened. Are you thinking about Yoongi?" He finally asked almost in a sad tone empathizing with him.
"Yeah," Hoseok replies again his sob coming out in the end of the word.
"You're going to be okay," Namjoon said "I know you hurt, but sometimes you seem more like yourself than you did when you first got me...you're an amazing person so the person who made you not yourself was an asshole from keeping your personality from the world because everyone would be thankful for knowing someone like you," he finished the tiny speech.
Looking up at the blue glowing cubes he smiled the smallest bit. "You're a really great person Namjoon," he said softly.
"Everything I am I learned from you," Namjoon replied. And it was true, he grew from experience.
Chucking sadly but still with a flicker of amusement Hoseok looked at the little camera "I'm glad I'm a good dad," he joked trying to make the mood lighter.
Namjoon started laughing a bit "you really know how to make your children grow up fast then. Day one talking," he laughed.
