I woke up early the next morning even though my body fought it. I was overly tired and I knew that I just wanted to lay in the hotel bed forever. It was nice and fluffy and warm. It was just perfect. I let out a soft groan when I heard a knock on my hotel room door.

I sighed and got out of bed. I grabbed a hoodie from the chair beside the bed and pulled it over my head to hide my pajamas. The knock came a little louder. "I'm coming, good Lord," I mumbled as I opened the door ready to bite off whoever's head it was.

I jumped back slightly when I opened the door and I was greeted by Clark. I was expecting him to already be gone. "Morning," he said slightly cheery. I cocked an eyebrow and opened the door a little further so he could come in but he shook his head.

"No, I'm not coming in. I just wanted to make sure that you were awake so you wouldn't miss your flight," he said. I gave him a small smile. "Alright," I said. Clark nodded. "We have to be out of the hotel in an hour," he said. I nodded and glanced at the door to my right.

"Well, if we have to be out in an hour did you wake Norman up four hours ago?" I asked him teasingly. Clark cracked a small smile. "He's actually already gone," I felt my face fall. "Oh well then I guess I'll start getting ready," I said. Clark nodded before heading across the hall to his room.

I sighed and shut the door before leaning against it. I was a little surprised that Norman had left without saying goodbye or anything. I mean I wasn't really expecting us to communicate as much as we did this weekend but what little conversation we did have was nice.

I took a quick shower and wrapped myself in a big fluffy towel when I got out. I twisted my hair up in another one and walked out of the bathroom. Something crunched under my foot and I looked down to see a small piece of paper on the floor.

How did I miss this? I bent down and picked it up. I unfolded it and saw that it was a note:

Vi,

By the time you see this

I will already be on a flight

Back to New York. It was an

Early flight so I didn't get to say

See ya later. So, see ya later!

Xx

Norman

I felt a smile come across my face as I reread the note a couple more times before sitting on the dresser beside my backpack. I quickly got dressed and threw my dirty clothes in my bag before working on my hair. I had about 30 minutes before I had to be out of here.

After quickly finishing my hair and throwing on a little makeup before going back out into the main area and making sure I wasn't leaving anything behind. Just what I needed was a house keeper to come in here and find one of valuables and then end up selling it for money.

I slung my backpack over my shoulder and tucked my phone in my pocket before opening the door. I jumped slightly when Flanery was on the other side. I looked up at him as he gave me a small smile. "I was just about to knock," he said softly. I gave him a small smile and shut the door.

I knew we had a flight back together since we both lived in LA. I sighed and ran a hand through my hair. "You ready?" I asked him and he gave me a slight nod. Clark was already gone most likely hurrying home so he could prepare for the next convention.

I went to grab my bag but Flanery beat me to it and slung it over his shoulder. "Thanks," I said softly as we started walking to the elevator. It was going to be at least a three hour flight back to LA and I wasn't looking forward to it. I hated flying.

We rode in the elevator in silence and stepped off at the lobby. We walked outside and I lowered my sunglasses over my eyes to shield them from the sun. Flanery quickly tossed our bags in the back of the car before climbing the driver's seat with me in the passenger's seat.

~~

"Vi, wake up," I heard a soft voice. I let out a soft groan and snuggled further into whatever I was laying on. "Violet Marie," I grumbled but opened one eye slowly. That's when I noticed whatever solid thing I was laying on was actually Sean's shoulder which was actually a very comfortable pillow.

"Sorry," I said softly while sitting up and slightly stretching. "It's okay. I just wanted to wake you up because we're landing in a few minutes," he said. I nodded and stifled a yawn. I was still worn out from the weekend. I quickly buckled my seat belt as the flight attendant instructed us too.

"Ya know you don't have to go home, right? You can always come stay with me until you have to leave for your movie," Sean said softly. I sighed and reached over to lightly squeeze his hand. "I don't know why you're so concerned about me going home," I said.

Sean squeezed my hand in return. "I'm concerned because I know how he is," he said. I sighed and patted his hand. "You can't fight my battles for me," I said. "No, but I can at least get you away from them," he said while standing up and pulling me with him since we had landed and could now leave.

I sighed as he opened up the compartment above us and grabbed our carry-on bags. I slung my backpack on my shoulder and followed Sean off of the plane. I pulled my hat lower over my eyes. Flanery nudged my shoulder as we stepped into the busy airport lobby.

"Let's go," he said as we headed towards baggage claim to get our bags. After quickly grabbing our bags Flanery pulled his keys out of his pocket. He hit the unlock button to his car. He grabbed my bags from me and quickly threw them into the trunk along with his own.

I climbed into the passenger seat with Sean in the driver's seat. I couldn't help but smile. I loved hanging out one on one with Sean and it was very rare that we did anymore because of both of our crazy schedules. I knew we had about a 30 to 45 minute ride ahead of us to get home depending on the traffic.

"You sure you want to go back to your place?" Sean asked me as he took a left turn. I rolled my eyes. "Sean," I said irritated. He glanced over at me before looking back at the road. "What?" he asked and I rolled my eyes. "Just give it a rest would you," I grumbled.

I crossed my arms and leaned my head against the window. It always irritated me when Sean tried to snoop in my personal life. I understood that he cared but sometimes he just took it a little too far. It was quiet between us after that and I hated it.

I didn't want to be irritated with him nor did I want him to be irritated with me. We were practically family from how long we knew each other and I hated when we were mad at each other. Especially when it took a lot to really make him mad. I let out a soft sigh.

"Look, I love you. You know that. You're like my older brother I always wished I had. And I know since you act like my older brother that means you feel like you have to protect me. But if I ever need your help trust me when I say I'll come to you," I said.

Sean had stopped at this point on the side of the road. We were only a couple houses down from mine. Sean lived about 15 minutes away from me. "I know, I know, and I know you probably won't like me for saying this but Matt is an ass and I hate seeing you go into that house," he said.

I tapped my fingers against the side of the door before running a hand through my hair. "I know you do, but what do you expect me to do? Just up and leave him? I can't do that," I said. Sean abruptly turned to me. "And why the fuck can't you?" he asked me irritated.

I could hear the anger in his voice. It took a lot for him to be like this. "Because I love him," I said softly. Sean snorted and smacked his hand lightly on the steering wheel. "Yeah right," he said. I let out a low growl and flung the car door open. I was done with this conversation.

I quickly grabbed my backpack from the back seat before opening the trunk and grabbing my suitcase. I heard the other car door open and I knew Sean was getting out. I slung my backpack over my shoulder and started rolling my suitcase down the sidewalk heading towards my house.

"Vi!" I heard Sean call out but I kept walking. I didn't want to deal with him right now. "Violet wait," I felt his hand wrap around my upper arm. I stopped abruptly but didn't turn to face him. "If you knew what was best for you right now you would get your hands off of me," I said.

Sean sighed and rubbed his thumb across my arm softly. "I know you won't hurt me," he said in a soft voice. I rolled my eyes. "I have to go," I told him still not looking in his direction. Sean slowly released my arm and I continued walking down the sidewalk.

Of course I would hear his soft footsteps behind me but I decided not to say anything. I walked up the stairs and unlocked the front door stepping inside. Sean was still right behind me. Luckily I didn't see Matt's car which meant he wasn't home right now.

I dropped my suitcase and my backpack on the floor. Sean leaned against the open doorway and tucked his hands in his pockets. "I guess I'll see ya later," I said still not looking at him. I felt bad that we were a little irritated at each other. It wasn't like us, only when it came to Matt.

"Yeah," he said softly. I could see him out of the corner of my eye as he pushed himself off the wall and closed the space between us. He wrapped his arms around me in a warm hug. I sighed and slowly wrapped my arms around his middle in return.

"Promise me that if you need anything, anything at all that you won't hesitate to call me. I'll drop everything I'm doing and come get you," he whispered softly. I squeezed him a little tighter. "Promise," I whispered in return. Sean kissed my cheek as he pulled back.

"Make sure you come say bye to me before you leave for your movie," he said as he walked out the front door and down the small set of steps. I leaned against the doorway and crossed my arms. "Don't worry I will," I called out. Sean gave me a slight wave before he got into his car.

He pulled out of the parking spot and gave a small beep of the car horn before speeding off. I sighed and ran a hand through my hair before pushing myself off of the doorway. I shut the front door and locked it before leaning against it. Now if I could just survive these two days with Matt.

~~

It seemed like it was early the next morning when I woke up and a snoring drunken Matt was beside me in bed. I sighed and quickly pulled my hair up in messy bun before quietly sliding out of bed and walking through the quiet house. I liked it when it was like this.

I grabbed the mail that was just inside the front door from the mailman dropping it in through the mail slot in the door. I flipped through it and felt a smile come across my face as I saw my flight tickets. I walked into the kitchen and flipped on the coffee pot before quietly opening the envelope.

I felt my eyes become wide as I saw where we were going. "Manitoba, Canada. Holy shit," I whispered. That's when something else caught my eye. The date for my flight was set for Sunday and today was on Tuesday. I was supposed to fly out Thursday.

I quickly grabbed my phone and dialed Wendy's number. It rang a couple times before she finally answered. "Vi, I was just about to call you," she said. I gave a small smile. "I take it you got your tickets?" she asked me. I looked down at them still confused.

"Uh yeah, I did but I'm confused," I said. Wendy chuckled. "That's why I was about to call you. I just got off the phone with your director and they pushed production off until next week because something happened with some props they needed and they won't be coming in until the end of the week now," she said. I sighed.

"Well that sucks. I guess I'm stuck here for the next few days," I said softly while looking around to make sure that Matt wasn't around. A loud snore coming from the bedroom gave me the relief knowing that he was still asleep. I tapped my fingers on the counter.

"I'm sorry, Vi," I shook my head. "It's not your fault. I was just hoping to get away quickly," I said. This time Wendy sighed. "I'm sorry girl but I know you have the strength to hold out for a few more days," she said. I bit my lip but nodded.

"Thanks Wendy. I'll talk to you later," I said before hanging up my phone. I knew I wasn't going to be able to stay here, not after last night. I took a quick shower and quickly got dressed. I through my wet hair up in a tight bun not even bothering to dry it.

I grabbed my suitcases from the closet and started packing my clothes inside neatly. That's when I heard Matt starting to stir. I froze with a shirt in my hand and slowly looked towards the bed. Matt was now lying on his back with his arms over his head.

I released a quiet breath before quickly packing the rest of my clothing and zipping my suitcase. "Where are you going?" I jumped as I heard Matt's sleepy voice break the silence through the bedroom. I stood up straight and looked up to meet Matt's sleep filled eyes.

"I'm packing my suitcases. I'm going to hang at Cynthia's tonight and then catch my flight in the morning," I said while pulling the handle up on the suitcases and wheeling them out of the room leaving him lay there. "Hey!" I heard Matt call out to me.

I heard his footsteps coming through the house. I tried making it to the front door. Freedom is what I would have in just a few feet. I opened the front door but it quickly slammed and I was pressed against it. I could feel Matt's weight against me pressing me harder into the door. "You're not going anywhere quite yet."

So Flanery is concerned about Vi going home. Why do you think that is? Norman and Vi are about to start spending a lot of time together filming their movie!! What's up with Matt? Any predictions? How do you like the story so far?
