Here's the next chapter, Nords!

--

I woke up earlier than I wanted to the next morning. When I rolled over the bed beside me was empty. I looked at the clock to see that I still had twenty minutes until my alarm was going to go off. I sat up and rubbed my eyes before putting my glasses on.

I reached over and turned off the alarm before climbing out of bed. I grabbed some comfortable clothes knowing I had a long flight home and made my way to the shower. After a quick shower, I threw on my clothes and did simple makeup while letting my hair air dry.

I walked out of the bedroom to see suitcases sitting by the front door. I knew they were Norman's. I had already packed except for my essentials that I needed this morning. I grabbed my bags that were sitting on the couch and sat them on the floor next to Norman's.

I didn't even know where he was this morning. I put a pot of water on the stove to make myself some hot chocolate before heading off to find Norman. It didn't take long to find him on the back porch sitting on the steps overlooking the horizon. The sun was barely up.

I sat down beside him and leaned my head against his shoulder. His head came and gently rested against mine. "Good morning," I said breaking the silence between us. "Morning," he said while kissing the top of my head. It stayed silent between us after that.

I started hearing the pot on the stove whistling and I got up to go check on it. After placing some hot chocolate in a take and toss travel mug I looked at the clock. It was officially time to leave. "Norman!" I called out and turned to see him leaning against the doorway.

"I know," he said without even looking in my direction. We both headed towards the door and grabbed our bags. As we walked outside I noticed that Norman's motorcycle was already gone. I loaded my bags into my car as he loaded his own in his.

We had to drive separately because the cars were rented for us the entire time we were here. I gave Norman a slight nod, which got me a sad smile in return as we both got in our separate cars and drove away from the house. I was definitely going to miss this place.

The ride to the airport was short. Too short for my liking. I slowly got out of the car and walked to the back to get my bags. A man met me and helped with my bags before taking the keys from me. I guess he was taking the car back to where it belonged for me.

"Thanks," I said as I grabbed my bags and started walking inside. Norman easily caught up with me and we started the process of getting through the airport. We put our luggage on the conveyor belt and I prayed that they wouldn't lose it like they have so many times before.

After removing everything that was necessary I stepped through the security system. Nothing beeped so I knew I was good to continue through. I waited on my things and Norman to come through a security as well. Our flight would take us to New York first, where Norman would leave me and I would fly back to Los Angeles, where Sean was picking me up.

"Ready?" Norman asked and I nodded as we started walking through the airport. It didn't take us long to find our gate. We both sat down in the corner waiting to board our flight and hoping to avoid potential fans. The flight wasn't going to be that long but I had a feeling it was going to be awkward.

*Norman's POV*

It didn't take us long to get settled on the plane and get ready for the sort flight. By the time I was comfortable, I looked over and Vi was already asleep. In just two short hours we would be landing in New York and I didn't even know what Vi's plan was.

She barely had anything to say this morning and what she did say was very short and to the point. I settled into my seat and tried to watch the movie that was playing on the small T.V. in front of me. "Can I get you anything?" an attendant asked me and I shook my head trying to keep the thoughts inside.

It didn't take us long and soon I was nudging Vi awake. She gave me a small smile before adjusting the beanie cap on her head. The plane landed and they dismissed us. I slowly walked off the plane wanting to make all of this last. We were the last ones off.

The luggage carousel came into view and I sighed knowing that this was it. After we got our luggage I would head one direction while she waited on her next flight. Maybe I could convince her to let me sit with her until her flight came. I stopped in front of the carousel to wait.

I spotted Vi's luggage first and grabbed it off the rack. Mine followed shortly behind hers. I slowly turned and looked away from carousel to face Vi. I would imagine that her face mirrored mine. We stepped away from the crowd for a little privacy.

"I guess this is it," I said. Vi gave me a sad smile. "I guess it is," Vi said. I awkwardly held out my arms and she walked into them. I don't know what was wrong with us right now, but something felt off. I pulled her in close and breathed in deeply.

Who knew the next time I was going to see her. Vi pulled back from my hug a little too soon for my liking. "I could stay with you until your next flight," I said but Vi shook her head. "No, that's alright. You need to get home to Mingus," she said.

I gave her a sad smile but nodded. "Okay, I'll be seeing you," I said and turned away before she could say anything. I didn't want her to see the sad expression on my face. I wanted her to stop me. For her to tell me that she's coming with me, but she didn't.

I decided to stop at the bar and order a Jack and Coke to relax myself and try to get my mind off of things. I needed to stop thinking about her. This was it. We would see each other for promotional touring and that's as far as it would go. She didn't want anything more.

I downed the Jack and Coke with ease loving the familiar burn that came to my throat. I looked at the bartender and nodded, silently ordering another one. Two wouldn't make me drunk, but it would definitely take the edge off of things and hopefully I could go home and stop thinking about everything.

I felt a tap on my shoulder and turned to see a nervous looking fan. I smiled and saw the napkin and sharpie in their hand. I grabbed it and signed it before handing it back to them. They gave me an excited smile before running back to wherever they had come from.

I stood up and threw some cash on the counter paying for my drinks before grabbing my luggage and heading towards the exit of the airport. I was planning on taking a cab back to my apartment. I leaned against one of the cement pillars and pulled out my cigarettes. I figured it would help as well to take the edge off before getting in the cab.

She's gone.

Two simple words that I texted to Flanery and as soon as I hit send I felt my heart crumble. She had earned a special place in it these past few months and I wouldn't change any of it for the world. If only she was standing beside me right now and we were heading back to my apartment together.

She'll be back.

Three simple words that I had hoped to be true. I pocketed my phone and stamped out my cigarette before leaning forward and haling for a cab. It didn't take long for one to stop. The driver jumped out to help me with my bags. "Norman!" I heard a female voice call out.

"Don't look now, but you have a fan," the driver said as we loaded my bags into the truck. I really just wanted to get into the cab and not mess with another fan, but I was afraid of the paparazzi that might be lurking around every corner and didn't want another headline about me.

I placed the last bag in the truck and turned to address the fan. What I was faced with was the most beautiful girl ever. Her dark brown hair was framing her face perfectly while her blue green eyes stared into mine. She had a small smile on her face and I could feel mine growing. Violet.

I instantly closed the distance between us and grabbed her hands in mine. "What are you doing?" I asked her. Her smile grew. "I'm living life for me. That is if you still have room for one more," she said. I tugged her towards me and wrapped my arms around her.

My lips crushed against hers and I felt myself relax into the kiss. I didn't want to pull back, but I knew we were getting looks. "Absolutely," I breathed as I pulled back and grabbed her bags practically throwing her bags in the trunk. I smiled as the cab driver climbed in.

Violet and I followed right behind him. We crawled in the backseat and I instantly pulled her towards me wrapping my arms around her. Her head rested against my shoulder. I pulled my phone out of my pocket to look at the time and decided to text Sean again.

She's back.

I know it's short but I needed to get it out. The movie is over and it looks like Vi is heading back to live with Norman! How sweet! Predictions for the future?
