And because it's been a couple weeks this chapter is a little longer than usual! :)

I didn't sleep at all that night. New lyrics seemed to be pouring out of my mind all night long. I sat in my bedroom all night on the floor with my guitar in my lap and the notebook Cinna gave me was sitting in front of me with a ton of writing scribbled across it.

A few crumbled up papers were tossed across the room. I clicked a button on my phone to see that it was almost nine in the morning. At that point I felt myself yawning. My legs hurt from sitting in the same position for so long and my hands hurt from writing and playing guitar all night.

I pulled up twitter on my phone and saw that I was flooded with notifications from fans and new people following me. I decided that even though it was early, to tweet out to the fans seeing as the last time I had tweeted was about a week ago. Plus I wanted them to know what was going on in my world right now.

My fans kick serious ass. Just saying. Thank you guys for making my job a blast! I cannot wait for you all to hear what I'm working on!! xx

I stood up and stretched feeling about every joint in my body pop. After getting a few things wrote down all I wanted to do was crash on my big comfy bed that was only a few feet away. I placed my guitar back in its stand and picked up all of the crumbled pieces of paper.

I sighed happily as I walked back towards my bedroom. I collapsed with a happily on the bed, not even bothering pulling the blanket over top of me. As soon as I was comfortable my phone rang. I groaned and started blinding reaching for my phone hoping that it was important for someone to be calling me at this time.

"What?" I answered grumpily not even bothering to look who was calling and not even caring that I sounded rude. "Is that any way to speak to your bass player?" I heard on the other end of the phone. I groaned again not caring how I had spoken to him.

"What do you want Chili?" I asked him. No, his real name wasn't Chili, it was a nickname given to him about a month after he started playing for me. "Well Cynthia texted me yesterday," he started and I groaned again. Of course she texted him.

"And?" I asked trying to stifle a yawn. "She said you were writing again and I figured that you would be calling the band soon to try and get us up to Canada. But because I am an awesome bass player I already have our plane tickets and we'll be flying out at the end of the week."

At that moment I heard three other voices in the background. I felt a smile growing across my face even though I was tired. "I'm excited. Though it's gonna be tight in my house. I only have one spare bedroom. It has two twin beds, I mean I have the pull out couch to but that means two of you will have to pair up," I said.

I heard Chili chuckle. "Don't worry, we'll figure it out when we get there," Chili said. I felt my eyes getting heavy. "Okay, I'll text you the address. As far as I know I'll be here that day, I don't think I have to shoot that day, so I guess I'll see you guys when you get here," I said before hanging up not even bothering to say goodbye.

I quickly texted Chili the address before putting my phone on the charger and setting it on the nightstand. This time I pulled the covers up around me and sighed contently as my body relaxed into the mattress. Right when I closed my eyes I heard a knock on my door.

I groaned and pulled the blankets over my head. "Go away," I grumbled. I heard the knock again and flung the covers back. I stomped through the house and made it to my front door. I flung it open with a glare on my face ready to bite off someone's head.

On the other side of the door was a smirking Norman who had two cups in his hand. The expression on my face softened. "Hot chocolate?" he asked holding the to go cup out to me. I reached out slowly and took it from him before opening the door a little more to let him in.

He walked past me and into the living room. I gestured to the couch and he sat on one end while I sat on the other end. I looked at Norman to see that he was in jeans and a black hoodie. He looked read y for the day. It was quiet between us as we both sipped on our drinks.

"So I have to ask," Norman said finally breaking the silence between us. I cocked an eyebrow at him. "What?" I asked in return. "Why are you not ready to go?" he asked me. I felt my eyebrows furrow together in confusion. "What do you mean?" I asked him.

Norman nodded to his backpack that was sitting right inside my front door. How I didn't notice that he had dropped that there, I wasn't sure. "We have a table read in an hour and a half," he said. I quickly jumped out of the couch and placed my cup on the coffee table in front of me.

"Oh shit! I totally forgot about that!" I said while taking off through the house. "Where are you going?" Norman called out. "To take a shower and get ready!" I called back before shutting my bedroom door. I did a double take to look at myself as I walked past the mirror.

I looked terrible my hair was in a sloppy bun, I had bags under my eyes that were super dark from lack of sleep, no makeup on, and I was still in my pajamas. I couldn't believe that I had allowed Norman to see me like this. I was so embarrassed.

I quickly jumped in the shower and made it cold so I knew that it would wake me up. I let out a small squeal when the water hit me before quickly scrubbing my hair. After a very quick shower I jumped out and walked into my bedroom wrapped in a towel.

I grabbed a pair of jeans and difficultly put them on seeing as my legs were still a little damp from my shower. I quickly grabbed an old black band t-shirt and threw it over my head. I threw my hair up into a wet bun again and applied some simple makeup before opening my door.

I walked into the living room to see that Norman was still sitting on the couch. I was actually pretty shocked that he was still there. I grabbed my Chuck Taylors that were by the door and slid them on. I flopped back down on the couch and let out a sigh.

"Okay, I'm ready," I said softly. Norman chuckled as I leaned against the arm of the couch and closed my eyes. "You look tired," Norman said. I could feel him shifting on the couch and I suddenly felt his presence closer to me than what it was before.

I opened my eyes to see that he was only about a foot away from me now. His hand slowly reached out and I felt myself flinching back. Norman's hand dropped. "Sorry," I said softly. Norman shifted back a little and created some space between us.

"I am really tired though. I haven't been to bed yet. I've been up all night writing new music," I said. Norman cocked an eyebrow at me. "Oh yeah? Any number one hits yet?" he asked me. I shook my head. "Nah, I'm still trying to work out the kinks but I think I have a few good songs on my hands," I said.

Norman nodded. "Well maybe we can push back the table read a few hours so you can get some sleep," he said. I shook my head. "No that's okay, if you don't mind driving I'll just sleep on the way there," I said. Norman shook his head. "No, I don't mind," he said.

He stood up at that point and offered his hand to me. I hesitantly took it and then he pulled me up off of the couch. He grabbed his backpack by the door before opening it and walking out. I grabbed my backpack too and slung it over my shoulder.

We walked outside to Norman's jeep and he opened the door for me before taking my backpack from me and throwing it in the backseat. He shut my door behind me before making his way around to the driver's side. He hopped in and started the jeep before pulling out of the driveway.

I settled into the seat a little more and when Norman turned the heat on in the jeep it relaxed me just enough to get me completely comfortable in the jeep. It wasn't difficult for me to sleep in a moving vehicle seeing as I traveled all the time in a tour bus. A jeep wasn't much different and soon I was pulled into a light sleep.

~~

"Vi....Violet....Hey Vi," I heard a soft raspy voice pulling me out of sleep. I slowly opened my eyes and came face to face with Norman's bright blue ones. "Hi," I said softly. Norman gave me a soft smile. "We're here," he said while pulling back.

I sat up and looked in the rearview mirror making sure that I didn't look too crazy. I looked over at Norman who was staring at me intently. "Ready?" he asked. I nodded and we both opened our doors. We both grabbed our backpacks from the back seat and slung them over our shoulders.

Norman and I both looked at the big building that was in front of us. We both glanced at each other and nodded before making our way into the building. To say the inside was huge was an understatement. It echoed because it was so big and not that many people were in here.

Norman and I slowly walked through the room when someone suddenly called out. "Norman! Violet!" We both turned around to see a guy in jeans and a plaid shirt walking towards us. Both Norman and I met him the middle where he stuck out his hand.

"Mark Bilodeau, nice to meet both of you," he said while shaking our hands. "Likewise," I said and Norman just gave a small smirk. "If you follow me this way, I'll show you where we'll be doing the table reads. Everyone else is already here," he said.

Norman and I followed him through the building until we arrived at a conference room where about 15 other people were already sitting around a table. Both Norman and I let out a breath. We both looked at each other and gave each other a reassuring smile before walking further into the room.

After sitting down at the head of the table, which was ever more nerve wracking. Mark was sitting at the other end facing us. "Why don't we all introduce ourselves? I'll start. I'm Mark Bilodeau, writer and director of this movie, The Choice," he said before looking at the person next to him.

After a few more introductions it was Norman's turn. "Uh. Hi, I'm Norman Reedus, I'll be playing Warren," he said before glancing in my direction. I gave him a small smile. "I'm Violet Johansson, please call me Vi, and I'll be playing Isabella," I said.

Mark clapped his hands a couple times. "Alright, now that we're all acquainted, let's get started shall we," he said. I glanced around the room. "Can I ask something quickly?" I spoke out. Mark nodded. "How many of you are actually in the movie with Norman and me?" I asked.

Nobody raised their hands. "So it's just me and him?" I asked. Mark nodded. "We have a couple background characters that will have a couple lines but other than that it's just you two. Have you not read your script, Vi?" Mark asked teasingly. I felt a blush creep up on my face. "Let's get started shall we," I said causing everyone to bust out laughing.

~~

I noticed as we were reading through it we were nearing page 125 and I was kind of excited to see what Norman had been talking about this whole time.

Right as we were finishing page 124 Mark cut us off. "Okay guys, I think this is a good place to stop for now," he said while closing his script. I let out a huffed sigh and heard Norman chuckle beside me. He knew exactly why I sounded like that. I wanted to know what was going on.

Mark stood up as did everyone else. Norman and I quickly joined them. "Alright, everyone bright and early 6 a.m. call," he said. Norman and I both nodded. "No not you two. You guys be there at 8 a.m. I want you well rested," he said while eyeing me more than Norman.

Norman and I tucked our scripts back in our backpacks and slung them over our shoulders before walking out the door. We made our way through the building before making our way out the front door and over to Norman's jeep. He opened the door for me again.

I smiled as I hopped up into the jeep and Norman shut the door behind me. He walked around and hopped behind the wheel. He quickly started the jeep and pulled away from the building. "That was interesting," I said breaking the silence between us.

Norman nodded while turning down a road. Before I knew it we had arrived back home. I sighed as Norman pulled into his side of the driveway and shut off his jeep. "Thanks for driving. I appreciate it," Norman nodded. "It's really no problem," he said.

We both hopped out of the jeep and grabbed our bags. As we were walking up the stairs to our house I started noticing how quiet Norman was being. He headed for his door when I stopped him. "Hey Norman," he turned to face me with a confused look on his face.

"Yeah?" he asked. I gave him a small smile. "What are you doing for dinner?" I asked him while leaning against my doorframe. He fumbled with his keys. "I'll probably just order in or something. Cause I can't cook to save my life," he said with a small laugh.

I opened my door and gestured for him to come inside. He hesitated at first but soon walked over to my house. "I'll make you dinner tonight," I said with a smile. He dropped his bag and looked back at me. "You don't have to do that," he said. I gestured for him to sit on a barstool while I started digging through the kitchen cabinets looking for something to cook. "No, but I want too."
