Does It Matter

I used to be the best
I wanted to be the best
Now I only wanna be something more
I wish I was something more

I've been trying so hard
But I ain't getting any better
I just wanna be better
Can I become better?

Is this who I'm gonna be?
Just another who will live and die
I just cannot stand that thought
I wanna be the one in a billion

But now I just wanna stop
I'm tired of no fruit
I know I cannot be the best
I used to be the best

I know that I'm weak
I've started to give up
But I don't wanna give up
Even though I know it won't change

I'll keep trying my best
I'll climb the mountain slowly
Even though I know that there's an avalanche
Even though I know it won't matter

I thought that I was the best
Now I ain't trying to be the best
I wish I was the best
Now I just have to be something more

I guess it doesn't matter anyway
