Did I mention that I actually kind of maybe slightly completely totally hate this book with all my heart? Just a little bit? Idk man when I started writing this, I was a noob and I was like 13, so it’s got such a weak storyline - I cannot fucking stand the miscommunication trope anymore oml it’s so jarring and stupid like Taehyung just sit the fuck down and let him speak for crying out loud! And ambitious little 13 yr old me wanted 50 fucking chapters so I'm not even closeee to being finished ooof don’t get me started on the yoonmin Bplot I randomly started and then forgot about kmt this book is shambolicccccc I actually don’t think I have writers' block; I think this book just shuts me off mentally lol this is not to bash any of you who still enjoy the book bc it’s quite nice to see that people like my writing even if it’s not my best work so thanks for your support It's a chore to finish but I hate when books I like get discontinued, so for those of you who miraculously still actually care about this book - I'm doin this for you
You lot betta follow me pls bc I literally cannot do this anymore 😭

“Peppa pig world!” Yeonjun smiles as he bounces up and down while Taehyung tries to tie his shoes.
“That’s right, Junnie. Peppa pig world. We're gonna have a fun adventure today, are you excited?”
“Yes! I wanna see George and Danny Dog!”
“Hopefully they’ll be there.”
There’s a knock at the door and Yeonjun bolts down the stairs as fast as his little legs will carry him, running up to the door and pressing his face against the glass.
“Yeonjun you know you’re not old enough to open the door by yourself.” Taehyung warns, and Yeonjun nods.
“I just wanted to see.”
“You can see without reaching for the doorknob.” Taehyung says, “The whole wall is glass anyway.”
“IT’S MR GUKKIE!” The little boy yells, smushing his face even further into the glass as though he were trying to pass through it. He bounces up and down frantically, like he’s going to explode, and shrieks in excitement as Jeongguk waves at him from outside.
Taehyung opens the door and lets Jeongguk inside, who scoops up Yeonjun and tickles his sides.
“Hey there little man.”
“Mr Gukkie!”
“Did you miss me?” Jeongguk asks playfully.
“Uh-huh. I waited every day for you to come back and play!” Yeonjun beams, and that truthful admission makes Taehyung’s heart pang guiltily. He'd been so selfish and close minded that he’d neglected to even ask Yeonjun what he thought about all of this.
It must be so confusing for him, Taehyung thinks to himself.
“Well I'm back now, so we can play a lot more. I hope we can play for a very long time.” Jeongguk smiles as he ruffles Yeonjun’s hair.
“Why are you here, Mr Gukkie? Have you come to buy some sweeties?”
“Even better; I'm going to take you guys to Peppa Pig World.” Jeongguk says, and Yeonjun screams again.
“Inside voices, baby.” Taehyung reminds, but Yeonjun is far too excited to care.
“MR GUKKIE’S COMING TO PEPPA PIG WORLD WITH US DADDY!” He yells, and Taehyung laughs at him a bit.
“I know, Junnie. How exciting! Why don’t you go upstairs and get your coat and backpack, and then we can all go, yeah?”
“Yeah!” Yeonjun agrees as Jeongguk sets him down on the floor, and he runs off upstairs in search for his things.
Jeongguk takes this opportunity to move closer to Taehyung and hug him.
“Hey there, beautiful.” He says, and Taehyung laughs softly.
“Hello Guk. How are you?”
“I’m good.”
“You look good too.” Taehyung snorts, taking in Jeongguk’s outfit. He’s wearing a red hoodie and black ripped jeans, with red Air Max 97s. “You have such a good sense of style.”
Jeongguk smiles at the compliment.
“Thanks. I like your style too.”
Taehyung shrugs, looking down at his green t-shirt with a teddy bear on it and black jeans.
“I just chuck on whatever Yeonjun hasn’t spilt paint on.”
“I didn’t realise how much I missed the little fella until I got here.” Guk smiles.
“I’m sorry-” Taehyung begins.
“Don’t be.” Jeongguk interrupts, “We're here now and that’s all that matters, okay? Let's just move past it and try to work through it, rather than letting it define us, alright? As long as we communicate properly this time.”
“Hmm.” Taehyung nods in agreement.
“Are you ready to go?” Jeongguk asks, “We can go in at any time.”
“Let me just grab my backpack, and we can go.” Tae smiles, going up the stairs to get his belongings.
He comes down with Yeonjun, all packed and ready and the three of them make their way to Jeongguk’s car, buckling in and setting off on their way.

“Yeonjunnie, we’ve been on the train six times already, are you sure you really really have to go again?”
Jeongguk asks exhaustedly as they stand in the queue to board the little train ride again.
“Choo Choo!” Yeonjun responds, bouncing up and down on the spot in anticipation. Taehyung stands beside him, resting his head on Jeongguk’s shoulder.
“I’m tired as fuck.” He mumbles so only Jeongguk can hear. “I don’t know where he gets this energy from.”
“Tell me about it.” Jeongguk sighs, “I’m ready to go home.” He looks at his apple watch, and the time 17:32 blinks back at him.
“Should we? After this?” Taehyung suggests, “I can tell him Danny dog died and that we weren’t invited to the funeral.”
Jeongguk laughs heartily, giving Taehyung a gentle shove playfully.
“You’re evil.”
“I’m tired.”
“I know, Tae, don’t worry. We can just tell him the park is closed, you know, like normal people who don’t want to traumatise a child?” Jeongguk snorts.
“You tell him whatever you want, as long as we’re leaving within the next half hour.” Taehyung yawns.
The three of them had had an incredibly long day, running around waving to all the characters, riding all the rides and taking pictures, even stopping by the gift shop to buy Yeonjun a teddy souvenir.
Taehyung had to admit, it was kind of nice to experience something like this with someone else by his side.
It was nice to walk side by side with someone else through the park, or take pictures of Yeonjun on the ride instead of always having to go with him and missing the opportunity. And the best part, was how well Jeongguk and Yeonjun were getting along, talking about trucks and dinosaurs, and all sorts of random things that Taehyung knows he wouldn’t have had the patience to entertain.
Watching Jeongguk be such a good role model to his son made Taehyung’s heart flutter all day long, wondering how he could’ve ever felt anything other than affection towards Jeongguk ever.
By the time they get to the front of the line and finish riding the train ride, even Yeonjun is struggling to keep his eyes open. Jeongguk hauls the boy up and places him on his shoulders, holding his little legs tightly so that he doesn’t fall. Yeonjun smiles sleepily, and rests his head on Jeongguk’s hair, causing Jeongguk to smile too. Taehyung watches the interaction fondly, and takes a moment to snap a picture before either of them realise.
“Shall we go?” Jeongguk asks gently, offering a hand out to Taehyung.
“Yeah.” Taehyung smiles, linking their hands together as they start to walk back to the car in comfortable silence.
“Thanks for today.” Taehyung says bashfully. “I had fun. Probably a lot more than Yeonjun did.”
“I had a really good time too.” Jeongguk agrees. “I really like being in your company, if you couldn’t tell already.” He grins as they pull up in front of Taehyung’s shop, finally back home after the 3hr long drive.
“I had a small inkling.” Taehyung laughs. “We should do this again some time.” He says as he gets out of the car and opens the back door, scooping up his son and closing it behind him.
“We should.”
“Goodnight, Jeongguk.” Taehyung bids.
“Goodnight, Taehyung.” Jeongguk replies, smiling softy as he watches Taehyung unlock the door and go inside. His heart flutters erratically in his chest and before he can talk himself out of it, Jeongguk finds himself unbuckling his seatbelt and hopping out of the car, catching Taehyung’s door right before it closes shut.
Taehyung turns around in surprise.
“J-Jeongguk?” He says, startled.
Jeongguk just smiles at him and pulls him in gently for a hug, mindful of Yeonjun still asleep in Tae’s arms.
“I just...wanted to tell you I had a really great time today.”
“Uh-same.”
“And I wanted to do this too.” Jeongguk says and leans forwards before he can chicken out.
He tips his head down and cups Taehyung’s cheek in his hand, and summons all his courage to allow their lips to meet in a gentle, brief kiss.
A thousand fireworks erupt in Taehyung’s heart as Jeongguk pulls away, smiling shyly.
“Goodnight, Jeongguk.” Taehyung grins, staring at the ground shyly.
“Good night, Taehyung.”
