Jeongguk sighed aggressively.
Nothing was going according to plan. His secretary had fucked up his schedule and then knocked his brownie out of his hands. And that was his only brownie before his diet started again. The other company were refusing all proposals made and to put it simply: Jeongguk was fed up. He wanted to go home and eat seashell looking pasta with way too many meatballs while curled up on his lover's lap and sulk about how shit his day was. Except he couldn't. Because he was completely and utterly single. (A/N: You and me both lmao)
It's not like Jeongguk didn't want to date; it was just that he had no time to date. He always had an odd schedule and finished at random points of the day. Sometimes he was at home before 5pm, yet other times he didn't leave the office until 1am. Life as the CEO of JC was incredibly challenging, but he wouldn't have it any other way. His love life was just one of many things he'd had to sacrifice along the way. It was a small price to pay.
Three aggressive knocks were punched against his office door, and before Jeongguk could even open his mouth to say enter, the door was flung open and in waltzed his best friend Jay.
"Sup fucker" Jay hollered, sitting himself on the spinning chair opposite Guk's desk. "How's your day been?"
"Piss off Jay," Jeongguk huffed, "I don't have time for your shit - I'm busy."
"Ahhhh cmon Guk don't be such a buzz-kill. We all know that you've done waaaay more than you've needed to this week." Jay leant back and kicked his legs up onto the desk, scattering some papers as he did so.
"It's Friday man; go home! Go to the club! Get drunk! Get laid! Do something other than rot away in this shitty looking office!"
"Hey!" Jeongguk whined, picking up his papers and setting his pen down. "I designed this office myself!"
"Exactly why it's shitty." Jay snickered without missing a beat.
Jeongguk shook his head and laughed softly, completely unimpressed with his best friend's antics.
"You're right," he said, closing his laptop and rising out of his chair. He swung his suit jacket over his shoulder and ruffled his own hair. "I suppose I should go home and get some rest." He checked the clock. 9:52pm
"You coming with?" Jeongguk asked.
"Nah," Jay said, bringing his feet off the table and also standing up. " 'M only here to bring your sad ass out of this prison. I got a date with my missus." He grinned.
"Miss me with that straight shit." Jeongguk instinctively replied.
The two men laughed.
"I swear to God Guk, you're probably the only Bi man who actually has a rotar for what gender he dates. It's absolutely ridiculous! Women in Summer and Winter!!" Jay wheezed.
"Well it's the most logical thing to do!!" Jeongguk argued as they made their way into the parking lot. "If I don't have a system, then a guy might think I'm straight and not go after me. And a woman might think I'm gay when in actual fact I'd also like to squeeze her boobs! I just think-"
"Guk fucking shut up! I can't take you seriously!" Jay cried, knees basically giving up on him as he laughed his head off.
Jeongguk grinned.
"It's summer now so I'm all off limits to the male population." He said.
"You and me both, kid. Except I was never an option." Jay laughed. "Promise me you'll relax and have fun at home, yeah? You're really overworking yourself Guk. Don't get too carried away."
"Yeah yeah Dad I'll behave." Jeongguk mock saluted.
"Good."
"Good."
"Great."
"Fantastic."
"Peachy"
"Splendid"
"Marvellous"
"Superb"
"Brill-"
"Okay piss off now." Jay snorted, shoving Jeongguk's shoulder as he unlocked the doors of his car.
"Bye dipshit!" Jeongguk smiled, closing the door for him.
"See ya rugrat."
"Say hello to Leah for me, yeah?"
"Fuck off, don't try and charm my wifey. I'm gonna marry that woman one day so you better back off. I don't care if it's Summer." Jay joked.
The engine revved.
"See ya loser!"
"Bye!" Jeongguk laughed, waving as Jay's car took off into the distance.
He unlocked the doors of his sleek black
Maserati and sat inside, engine roaring as he sped off out of the building.

Jeongguk carelessly chucked his keys onto the couch and took off his shoes, mismatched socks padding into the kitchen. The only sound in the apartment was the boiling pasta and Jeongguk sighed as he realised he'd made too much again. At least two other people could've been fed from the amount of pasta that sat sadly in the pot.
Another sigh was pulled out of him as he dumped the sauce on his plate. He wasn't in the mood to eat meatballs anymore.
God this is sad Jeongguk thought, placing his uneaten pasta in the fridge and trudging to his bedroom. The dark blue suit came off and was immediately thrown onto the floor.
Now clad in sweatpants and messy hair, Jeon Jeongguk slipped into his cold and empty bed. Completely and utterly alone.
