Taehyung stood in the corner of the room, smiling and directing the busy people organising the hall. The key theme was red and black and Taehyung smiled inwardly when he realised his outfit matched. A long table which stretched round the room, was lined with his macarons and cupcakes and other deserts, all with intricate black patterns on it. Taehyung smiled happily, proud of his little section of the grand hall.
There was a large glass door with golden spirals running around as an expensive boarder, and it was pushed open to reveal lush green grass with daisies that danced in the gentle breeze, and it seemed to stretch for at least a mile. White tables with silk cloths were placed along the garden scene, with cream chairs that Taehyung thought were kind of ugly.
Tacky red and white balloons were tied on some table legs and Taehyung made a mental note to sneak a balloon for Junnie. The other staff members were running about, chatting and organising the final details. Tae checked the time. 12:30pm.
There was nothing left for his team to do, since they were the only ones who were fully prepared. They'd finished their section and were patiently waiting for the event to begin. The blonde sighed, deciding to go freshen up in the bathroom. Wherever the hell it was.
After wandering aimlessly for 10 minutes, Taehyung finally found the giant bathroom, pushing open the heavy oak doors and walking inside. The walls and floors were a dark black marble and the doors were black wood. The sinks and toilets were a bright blinding white, and though he was a rainbow enthusiast, Taehyung had to admit the monochrome theme was a bold and effective choice.
A bit of purple wouldn't have hurt though.
Tae walked over to the sparkling mirrors, and examined his hair, smoothing it down and changing his parting. Maybe I should change it back to brown. He thought, moving away from the mirrors and heading towards the exit. The big door swung open and hit Taehyung, the force sending the poor male flying towards floor.
"Oh my god! I'm so sorry!" A voice cried, immediately offering Tae a hand.
"I-it's okay." Taehyung said, rubbing his head in pain. "Are you alright?"
"Oh I'm fine! It's you who needs to be alright! I'm so sorry!"
Taehyung finally opened his eyes, taking in the other male's appearance. He had brown hair which was swept to the side effortlessly, revealing a forehead which was oddly attractive. A vibrant red shirt which popped under his navy jacket, combined with his black trousers and leather shoes, with red shades that sat prettily on his nose. It looked like he was going to a party, rather than a high class event, but weirdly enough, there was an air of elegance which radiated from the outfit.
He was hot.
And judging by his natural confidence and posture, Taehyung guessed he was one of the fancy people running the event. Great he thought, leave it to me to embarrass myself in front of some important rich guy. He could probably buy and sell me eight times with the buckle of his shoe.
"I'm Hoseok." The male grinned sheepishly. "Sorry for hitting you with the door."
"No worries!" Taehyung smiled, "I'll survive."
"It would be a bit tragic if you were to die from getting hit by a door." Hoseok laughed. His laugh was high and airy, yet powerful and captivating. "Anyways, it's probably time to head back. Just let me wash my hands and I'll join you."
Hoseok breezed past Taehyung and stood at the mirrors, adjusting his appearance and drying off his hands. The two left the bathrooms together, laughing at Taehyung's story of how he got lost for 10 minutes on the way to the bathrooms.
They got back to the hall, and it looked extravagant. Everyone was up and about, finishing the last touches as some angry man barked final orders at them.
"THE TABLE DOESN'T NEED TO BE SO CLOSE TO THE DOOR! HOW IS ANYONE SUPPOSED TO GO IN AND OUT IF THEY HAVE TO WALK THROUGH A BLOODY FUCKING TABLE?"
"WHO PUT FUCKING FISH CAKES NEXT TO THE ACTUAL CAKE??? ARE YOU ACTUALLY OKAY? I FUCKING HATE ALL OF YOU!"
"WHY AREN'T THE ENTREES HERE YET? HURRY UP!"
"WHO PUT BALLOONS UP? THIS IS A FUNDRAISER, NOT A CHILDREN'S FUCKING BIRTHDAY PARTY!! TAKE THEM DOWN!"
"JESUS FUCKING CHRIST! GET A MOVE ON! WE'RE SUPPOSED TO BE FINISHED BY NOW!"
Taehyung and Hoseok stood there, giggling like children.
"Aren't you supposed to be helping?" Hoseok asked.
"My team finished a while ago. We're the deserts table over there." Taehyung grinned, happy that his company were always organised.
"That's the only team which hasn't been shouted at!" Hoseok smiled. "Good job!"
They both continued to laugh as the angry man became even angrier, until someone snapped and told him to shut up. Tae could tell that he was about to go off, until a very godly looking Jeon Jeongguk strolled into the room and told him to calm down.
It took all of Taehyung's self control to not drop to his knees right there and then.
Jeongguk was wearing a crisp charcoal shirt, which clung to his bulging muscles like Taehyung wished to do. The first two buttons were undone, maybe for style, but Taehyung wouldn't have been surprised if it was because they couldn't fit over his massive pecks. A golden watch sat on his wrist, and it sparkled in the brilliant sunlight that shone through the open doors.
"Guk!" Hoseok called, snapping Taehyung out of his lustful daydream.
If Hoseok was hot, then Jeongguk was fucking sinful.
Taehyung watched as a bright smile flashed across Jeongguk's face as he made his way over to them. He didn't even have enough time to panic, before Jeon was standing right in front of them.
"Taehyung!" He grinned, "I didn't know this was the event you were talking about!"
Taehyung laughed softly, "I didn't know you'd be here either! Small world."
Hoseok cleared his throat.
"Oh. Hey hobi" Jeongguk smiled.
"You two know each other?" He asked. There was a slight change in atmosphere but Taehyung couldn't put his finger on it.
"Yeah. Jimin took me to his shop one time, and I saw him and Yeonjun yesterday, too."
"Yeonjun? Who's Yeonjun?" Hobi asked. Taehyung didn't quite like how his son's name sounded in Hobi's mouth.
"He's my son. He-"
"Kid? You have a kid? Aren't you a bit too young to ha-"
Jeongguk cut Hobi off, after feeling how uncomfortable Taehyung was becoming.
"Anyways we have to start now, so go take your place, Seok. I'll meet you there in a second."
Hoseok was about to complain but one sharp look shut him up and he left.
"Sorry about him. He's kinda insensitive sometimes." Jeongguk said.
"It's alright. I get it." Taehyung sighed.
"When the opening speech is done, you should come hang out with me and hobi!" Jeongguk said, trying to lighten the atmosphere. It felt wrong to see Taehyung sad.
"O-okay. I don't know where anything is, so you'll have to come to me. I got lost for like 10 minutes trying to find the goddamn bathroom." Taehyung giggled.
Jeongguk laughed. "It's fine. I'll see you later, then?"
"Yeah. See you later." Taehyung smiled, waving to Jeongguk as he walked off to his table.
Jeongguk took a seat by Hobi, who immediately began chatting his ear off. But he wasn't listening at all, because his mind was clouded with thoughts of a stunning Taehyung, smiling at him brightly and promising to meet him later. He felt like a schoolboy all over again, bouncing his leg impatiently as he waited for his father's speech to be over so he could go have fun.
He couldn't wait to see Taehyung.
