Chapter 12 - Infiltrator
"Here you go," Satomi smiled as she placed a bowl of miso soup in front of Naruto, making his eyes sparkle as he slurped the soup hungrily. "This is so good, Satomi baa-chan!"
Satomi chuckled. "So, where are you going after this?"
"I don't know, I have nowhere to go," Naruto answered.
"Why? You have a village, don't you?" Satomi asked.
"I know, yeah but....." Naruto sighed. "They tried to kill me."
"Oh...." Satomi frowned. "Something bad must've happened. You poor boy."
"I guess I'll wander around, hm?" Naruto stared at the ceiling.
"What about your parents?" Satomi asked.
"I don't know who my parents are," Naruto shrugged. "Jiji wouldn't tell me."
"So you have a grandfather...he must be worried," Satomi sighed.
"He's dead."
There was silence. Naruto stared at his miso soup, playing with the floating herbs.
"Would you like to live with me then? I don't have anyone to live with," Satomi chuckled. "Having a little grandson would be nice. You don't need to be a ninja anymore."
"What? That's bad baa-chan, I don't want to trouble you," Naruto frowned. "It's okay, I can live by myself."
"You're just a young boy, come on," Satomi laughed lightly.
"Nah, it's okay, Satomi baa-chan! I've lived by myself my whole life!" Naruto grinned.
Satomi stared at him and sighed. "If you say so..."
"Well...I can stay here for the night," Naruto grinned, scratching his chin.
"Of course," Satomi smiled.
Dark, it was so dark.
Everything was black.
Naruto's eyes opened. He yawned and scratched his butt before sitting up and staring at the wall sleepily. 'Have to...train....'
He stood up and froze. 'Wait, where is this?'
Quietly, he peeked out of the room, only for the smell of miso soup spreading into his nose.
'It's Satomi baa-chan's house.'
He opened the door and screamed as he felt a hand on his back.
"O-Oh, it's you S-Satomi baa-chan," Naruto laughed.
"Breakfast is ready," Satomi smiled.
Naruto sighed in content as he ate the last spoon of rice. "This was so good, baa-chan, believe it!"
Satomi laughed. "Why, thank you. Leave the dishes on the table, I'll wash them."
"Okay!" Naruto grinned. "I'll head to the room!"
He stared at her back as he quietly entered the room he slept in. What should he do now? He made the bed and sighed.
Maybe he'll sneak into Konoha to get his stuff.
He exited the room. "Uh.....Satomi baa-chan."
"Yes?" Satomi smiled.
"I'll...be leaving now," Naruto informed.
"...Oh," she blinked. "Come on, I'll open the door for you."
The door swung open with a creak. Naruto stepped out onto the grass and smiled at Satomi.
"Come back if you need help, little boy!" Satomi laughed.
"Yeah..." Naruto grinned. He channeled chakra around his whole body before disappearing in a blur.
'Konoha it is then.'
'Even with a little bit of my chakra, I can shunshin from the entrance of the village to the Hokage monuments...' Naruto thought, concealing his chakra as he hid in the trees. 'I should be able to get to my apartment quick.'
He used chakra to leap onto another tree branch quietly. 'The village is protected with a chakra barrier. I have no way of going in without being sensed.....'
He narrowed his eyes. 'Oh who the fuck cares!'
In a blur, he disappeared.
"Hokage-sama," Kakoi knocked on the door.
Tsunade sighed. "Come in..."
The door swung open as the man walked in. "Someone has entered the village. We couldn't sense whose chakra it was, but the infiltrator entered from in between the main entrance and the east entrance."
Tsunade crossed her hands. "Get 2 teams of chunin with 2 jonin in lead and search for the infiltrator immediately. Do not attack unless the enemy atacks first. If the infiltrator is found, bring them to the T&I unit immediately."
"Hai, Hokage-sama," Kakoi bowed and disappeared.
