Tsunade spun around and turned away, head lowering. This was all her fault. If she never let the villagers get to Naruto, the boy's death could've been avoided.

She took a shuddering breath, a tear slipping out of her eye. As much as she didn't want to do this, she had no choice. It was forced upon her.

"We are going, Neko," Tsunade stood up straight, taking a deep breath.

"Hai, Hokage-sama," Yugao answered.

"Tsunade."

"Y-Yes, Jiraiya," Tsunade sighed shakily as she turned around to meet the eyes of the toad sage.

"Don't blame yourself for it."

"I-I-I'm the Hokage, Jiraiya. But I'm so weak and powerless, I- I could've stopped them but I didn't know ho- I couldn't..." Tears flowed down her eyes.

Jiraiya patted her back soothingly, staring at the skies. "At least...he'll get to see his parents now."
