Charles' POV

I felt the wind blow through my hair.

i shivered.

i never expected it to be this cold!

meaning, i cannot wait for summer!

i hugged myself due to the cold.

i heard Henry lock the door.

wait.

is Ruby still inside the house.

the turned around to look at Ellie or Henry.

i looked next to me. Ruby was next to me.

phew! false alarm.

we started walking away from the house.

i'm just hearing the loud noises of the cars and screams of joy from children.

nothing new at all.

i never suspected something new and cool to happen but what i make something great and cool to happen like..

like..

like my greatest plan.

that's cool right?

anyway, i'm off topic.

we walked toward the park with the water fountain.

one of the most beautiful things i have ever seen.

is the damn water fountain.

well, i'm clearly lost in thought.

so lost i TRIPPED into the fountain.

Ellie and Henry turned to the fountain and i sprung from the water.

gasping for air.

i'm human, ya know?

"Charles, what the fuck?! how did you get in there?" Ellie cried, coming towards the fountain.

i laughed nervously.

"well... i just go lost in thought." i explained.

Henry and Ellie helped me get out of the water, now i'm all soaked.

"Charles, did you bring extra clothes?" Henry asked.

how am i supposed to know when i'm gonna fall in water or not.

this mistake is going in my mistakes book.

#179: fell into a water fountain at the park.

"uh, no." i said, shaking my head.

"plus, it should dry. because it's so cold." i added.

look, i'm not the smartest. but i'm the brightest.

"c'mon, let's keep going" Ellie told us, walking away.

i smiled and walked behind Ellie.

"well, are you coming Hen?" i cheered.

i heard a sigh behind me and footsteps.

i looked behind to see Henry behind me.

he ran towards me and Ellie to catch up to us both of us.

okay, for some reason, whenever the wind blows, i feel so cold.

even though i have a sweater on.

y'know, life is confusing sometimes.

we reached to the cafe.

the smell of sweets filled the air around the cafe.

and my even more hungry then before.

we found a table to sit at and sat in the chairs.

i'm so lucky that i'm all dried.

the waitress came to get our orders.

Henry just wanted tea and blueberry muffin.

Ellie got coffee and piece of strawberry cake.

and i got 3 or 4 doughnuts. oh and tea.

i like tea.

but i don't love it as much as i love apple juice.

we stayed in the cafe for awhile, just talking about the stupid mistakes we did on missions.

some of them almost get all three of us killed.

but most of the mistakes are from Henry.

but he does the most funniest mistakes ever!

okay, so we sat there for some time, until i looked out the window.

the wind started to blow hard.

i was getting confused because a tornado never happens here.

until i saw a drop of rain hit the window.

"uh guys.. was it gonna rain today?" i asked.

Ellie eyes widened and went out the cafe.

Henry and i looked at each other and laughed.

she remembered about Ruby.

she came back in with Ruby inside of her backpack.

Ellie sat the backpack on the fourth chair next to me and Henry.

Henry turned on his phone and looked at the weather forecast.

he heard him whisper something under his breath.

he signaled us.

we had to go.

we all got up and opened the door of the cafe and walked outside.

Ellie made sure if Ruby was still in the backpack.

i found it quite impossible for Ruby to just jump out of the backpack.

it wasn't raining just yet, but small droplets came in.

we walked back home.

while doing so, i felt cold again.

it was warm at the cafe.

but it's gonna be warmer in a blanket.

we arrived there and Henry opened the door to let us all in.

once we were all inside, Henry locked the door.

i ran upstairs to the room and threw myself onto the bed, getting cuddling on the blanket.

i heard someone walk upstairs but i didn't care.

i was too warm to even care.

somebody came into the room and sat on the bed.

i turned myself around to see this person.

it was Henry.

of course it would be him.

i looked at myself.

now, i look like a blanket burrito.

Charles the blanket burrito.

"hehe. i look like a burrito." i chuckled.

Henry nodded.

"yes you do. c'mon let go down stairs." he told me.

i frowned.

"but i'm cold!" 

"then you can take the blanket downstairs."

i let go of my frown and smiled instead.

"okay!" i grinned.

i got the blanket it off of me to get up, and grabbed the blanket again.

Henry led me downstairs and i'm trying to watch my step.

once we were the floor i ran to the couch and plopped on it.

i warped the blanket on me, feeling all warm.

remember the storm that i talked about?

yeah, it happened.

the rain was so hard and loud it bothered all of us.

the wind howled and it made the rain fly.

i know because i looked out the window.

Ellie turned off all the lights in the house once he heard thunder.

i started to get scared.

i was a little scared of storms with strong wind and heavy rain.

just like this one.

Henry sat next to me, getting himself in the blanket.

the blanket was big enough for us.

i snuggled close to Henry's chest.

y'know stuff like this always makes me feel safe and happy.

whenever i get to spend time with friends or i get to hug them, i wish for it to never stop.

why?

i don't know! it's a great feeling.

Ellie sat on the couch next to Henry.

no one said anything.

all we heard was the thunder, heavy rain and the loud wind.

i didn't like it.

i took off my headset so i wouldn't hurt Henry with my cuddling.

he stroked my brown hair, messing with the tangles.

i didn't mind. not one bit.

i felt goosebumps prick on me when i started to get warm again.

now, i wonder..

how long is this storm gonna last.

i remember the snow storm.

Ellie was so pissed.

speaking of Ellie, she tried to turn the lights on.

it turned out the lights went out.

"at least we aren't in a helicopter" Henry chuckled.

Ellie groaned and playfully hit Henry's shoulder and went to sit down on the couch.

i laughed a bit and snuggled the warmth around me.

my eyes feel droopy, i feel like i'm gonna..

i blinked my eyes opened.

i'm on the bed with a blanket on me.

i looked around.

i seemed to be in the room, noticing the nightstand.

i kicked my blanket off of me and ran towards the window.

i shoved the curtains to see that the rain had been done.

it was night.

i heard Henry come upstairs.

"oh, you're awake." Henry said.

i turned around and nodded.

i don't feel so well.

i feel cold.

my throat is so dry.

maybe i just didn't drink any water all day.

maybe that's the problem.

"i'm gonna get a glass of water" i told him and went ahead.

i walked to the living room and headed straight to the kitchen.

just noticed that Ellie and Ruby are not here.

i think they went back home.

i drank some water but my throat now feel ichy.

i decided to ignore.

but ignoring it was the hardest thing for me to do.

it just kept on bothering me.

Henry was on the bed, scrolling through his phone.

i lied down next to him to see what he was doing.

he was on the news page.

huh..

"hey Hen, why are you on the news page?" i asked.

"to see if they said anything about the toppats." Henry answered.

"so far, i found nothing." he groaned.

i sighed and grabbed his phone, making him turn to me.

"take a rest Henry. you're just stressed." i said, turning off his phone and placing it on the nightstand.

"i suppose your right." Henry sighed and turned off the lamp.

i wasn't sleepy but he is.

for some reason, my head hurts real bad.

huh.

weird.
