ENDING

"Come out and face your big sister Molly!"

Sylvia can't prevent herself from showing anger in her voice as she calls out for her evil sister.

Sylvia never knew that she could be betrayed like this. Jarred's words were indeed right. 'Innocence is only a mask.' It was Molly's innocence that drives Sylvia to not suspect her as a killer too soon.

Sylvia may be missing her little sister now, but she knew that the Molly she is looking for right now is totally different. The good and innocent Molly is long dead. Molly is no more.

As Sylvia's eyes searched high and low for Molly, she successfully found her running up for the stairs.

Sylvia didn't waste time, and so she started running after her. She ran and ran, safely passing by the scorching flames that continues to dance violently.

She raced herself upstairs. There is nowhere to run now.

She finally found Molly waiting for her poised to her position at the left side of the hallway.

Sylvia may had been running away from danger multiple times, but now she is prepared to face it all alone. There is no turning back now. She'll have to continue walking down the risky path. She doesn't care if she might die at the moment or not. Her mind is set in finishing off the monster that she so-called as her sister.

"I'm glad we can finally spend some alone time." The evil girl stated with a smirk on her face.

"Stop with the godd*mn talk. If you're gonna finish me, then do it right now." Sylvia said in gritted teeth, her eyes are full of determination.

"My pleasure big sister." Molly replied with an evil smile plastered onto her face.

In mere seconds, Molly started dashing towards her big sister.

She sent the hook flying down to Sylvia, but the older girl reacted by dodging by the side.

Molly took another blow, but Sylvia replied by giving a tight grip onto the long piece of metal.

Now the two sisters are struggling for the hook now, like two lions fighting over a dead prey. None of them dared to give up that easily.  They continued to struggle for the hook amidst the dancing flames, not giving an inch of care if they are already hurting each other.

"Won't you really miss me Sylvy?" Molly asked with mockery, laughing evilly at Sylvia's attempt in disarming the hook.

"I never had a little sister who's a f*cking demon." Sylvia replied coldly. "Then no!"

Right after Sylvia uttered those words, Molly quickly gave Sylvia a forceful kick to the stomach, knocking her back and making her fall down onto the floor in the process.

Sylvia lied flat on the floor, wincing from pain due to the impact of her fall.

The fire is getting worse. It's almost reaching the carpeted stairs. Sylvia can see the scorching light flashing from where she is. Her heart skipped a beat, seeing Molly towering over her.

She knew that she's gonna die, but no; Sylvia isn't scared anymore. From all the horrible things that she experienced ever since her arrival here in Diamond field, she slowly got used to it. She is numb from fear now. She is ready to die. At least she can die with Molly, now that the fire is getting more violent.

"I love you big sister." Molly said in a sweet voice before raising her hook above Sylvia.

Just as she was about to get hit, Sheena suddenly came out of nowhere and went between Molly and Sylvia. Instead of Sylvia, Sheena gets to receive the blow.

Sylvia just watched in horror as the hook impaled itself to Sheena's throat deeply.

"SHEENA!"

Sheena fell down to the floor with a thud. Her breathing starts getting uneven. Blood keeps gushing out of her wounded neck. She's barely keeping herself up.

Sylvia scrambled herself to Sheena and cradled her in her aarms tears started falling off of her eyes.

"Please Sheena! Don't die please! Don't go!" Sylvia begged, shaking her friend repeatedly.

"S-Sylvia." Sheena struggled, her mouth flooded with crimson liquid. "I l-love you c-cousin..."

And with that, Sheena loses her breath. She closed her eyes gently, falling to an eternal sleep.

Sheena is dead... Sheena is no more.

"I'm just really glad  that our dear cousin is finally dead." Molly expressed with despise. "In fact, I shouldn't accept her as a cousin of mine! Especially when she was born to a filthy whore!" She added, sounding angry as ever.

"F*ck you!" Sylvia couldn't contain herself from swearing. "That's not a reason for you to kill her you Psycho!"

Sylvia is right. Molly is losing her mind now. She's becoming insane. She's not normal anymore.

"Same goes to you Sylvia! F*ck you!Now it's time for you to die!"

Molly let out a growl before sending her hook crashing down to Sylvia.

But before she could even hit Sylvia, Molly felt a really sharp pain from the back of her shoulder. She turned around and saw her twin sister, Holly.

Holly just stood there with a sense of bravery on her face.

"H-how could you?!" Molly hollered, feeling deceived.

"Leave her out of this Molly! This is what you want, right?!" Holly mockingly uttered, her expression becoming a raging one as she intently stares at her twin sister.

"Traitor!" Molly huffed.

"This is what you want, right Molly? You want me to make you proud right?!" Holly taunted. She paused for few seconds, letting out a sigh."Let's finish this together! Come and get me Molly!"

Molly let out a sharp stare at her twin sister. Even if she's getting a bit weak due to the stab she received from Holly, Molly readied her hook. She let out a forceful scream before charging towards Holly.

Holly just stood there and prepared herself. Molly collided with Holly, and both of them fall off the window behind them.

Sylvia was paralyzed at what she has had witnessed. She wants to believe that this was just all her sick dreams, but she knew at the moment that she is facing reality right now.

"NO!" Sylvia let out a sorrowful scream.

She ran to the broken window, peeking out. She couldn't help but to cover her mouth out of horror once she saw the lifeless body of Holly and Molly.

The twins are both facing each other with eyes closed. A thick pool of blood started forming from the back of their heads.

"NO! HOLLY! MOLLY!!" Sylvia cried once again.

The young girl broke down crying. She lost her loving sisters. She felt weak... hopeless... broken...

Sylvia just lied down onto the floor and gently closed her eyes, not caring if the fire started climbing up to the 2nd floor where she is at right now.

Not long enough, Sylvia soon drifted off to unconsciousness.  At the same time, the sound of the police and firefighter siren blared from nearby.

Holly's POV:

I feel like I will completely lose Sylvia if I don't help her. My mind is screaming that I should help my big sister. I decided to go back into the house in order to come to my sister's aid.

"Holly! What are you doing?! Get back here!" I heard Sheena yelled worriedly from behind, but I didn't bothered myself to turn around for her. My mind is so focused in returning to my sister.

"Jack, go get Ms. Savana to the police station now!" My ears detected Sheena's voice from behind commanding Jack.

I kept running like there is no tomorrow. I was nearly out of breath, but I kept on going. It took a while until I've reached my destination. I stared at the burning house in awe as the fire continues to swirl and dance.

I took a quick sprint inside the burning house, and thankfully I wasn't hurt.

"Holly please! Get out from there, you'll hurt yourself!" I heard Sheena from behind as I scanned the burning lobby.

I took a sprint for the stairs, desperation starts to dwell within me each step I make. After a while, I finally arrived at the 2nd floor. and there I saw my twin sister, Molly. She is towering over to Sylvia, who was crawling away desperately in return.

I stood here to my spot. I saw Molly readied her hook. She raised the hook up, and sent it flying down to Sylvia.

"NO!"

My eyes grew 10x larger at what happened next. Sheena suddenly popped out of nowhere and took Sylvia's spot. I can feel tears running down from my eyes and onto my face.

But then, I saw Molly about to kill my big sister.

No. It's the last time my twin sister will kill somebody.

I found a random knife lying on the middle of the floor. I snatched the knife up and started running behind Molly.

I sent the knife striking down to Molly's back. Molly was frozen to her spot. She pulled the knife out of her back and turned her head around, facing me.

"H-h-How could you?!" Molly screamed angrily as she looks at me.

"Leave her out of this Molly! This is what you want, right?!" I mocked coldly.

"Traitor!"

"Yes! This is what you want, right Molly? You want me to make you proud right?!"

I didn't take my eyes off of my twin sister. I'm really determined to end this once and for all. I'm tired of following her orders. It's stupid how I didn't even think about this in the first place. Maybe because I'm really scared of Molly threatening my life each time I refuse to follow her? I don't know. All I know is that, I will be a hero for my big sister, just like what she said.

"Best buds until the end, remember? Then let's finish this together! Come and get me Molly!!" I said angrily.

Molly readied her hook before running towards me screaming in pain and distrust. I didn't moved or anything. I stood there watching her cold in the eyes. The time has finally come when she pushed both of us out of the window.

I let out one final smile before falling below. I feel my head geting bashed on the cold, hard ground, and the next thing I saw is darkness.

Before I let the darkness take over me, I turn my head to Molly and let out a tiny smile as I stare right through her dead eyes.

Finally. It's all over now. My family can live in peace now. Hell is over. I can finally see my family living in peace.

Sylvia. I guess this night will be the last time you will ever see me. But just so you know, I'm always with you and mommy.

Goodbye Sylvia...

(2 years later)

"Sylvia."

The depressed girl opened her eyes gently, seeing the calm expression of Gail Torin in front of her. The first thing Sylvia did is to stare out the window beside her. Her expression remained blank, quietly watching the view of New york city. Her eyes switched to the clear sight of the empire state building, smiling a bit in the process.

"How do you feel now Sylvia?" The woman gently asked. She then placed her pocket watch on the table between them. "What did you hear?"

The girl switched her gaze to Gail. She smiled slightly. "I-I'm fine." She answered with a stutter. "I can hear the clock ticking. But It's more than that."

Gail leaned forward a bit, interested to what Sylvia is about to say. "Go on. Tell me." She ushered gently.

Sylvia spotted her family photo from the table. She picked the photo up, staring at the image of her and her family beaming in front of a beautiful lake. "A voice told me, that pain and grief may felt like eternity, but it has its own limit." Sylvia answered. "It's just temporary."

Gail in return, smiled genuinely; knowing that her little test for Sylvia worked. "The incident. Is it still coming back to you?" Gail questioned, eager to gain assurance that Sylvia is indeed ok.

With a sigh, the girl spoke. "Yes." She then placed her sight to the window again. "But it doesn't bother me anymore. It's just a mere image..." Sylvia lets out a deep breath, touching the window pane. "It's all in the past now."

The middle-aged woman held Sylvia's palms, squeezing it gently. "Are you sure you're ok now?" Gail solemnly asks.

With a genuine grin, Sylvia replied. "Take me to their grave."

——————————————————

The two finally arrived at Diamond field cemetery. They both got out of the car owned by Gail herself. At first, Gail is hesitant whether she should allow Sylvia visit the graves of her twin siblings and her non-biological father. But then, she agreed at the end. She knows what Sylvia has decided is right and harmless.

They both walked by the green fields, passing by trees and tombstones. They can feel the solemn vibe within the cemetery, starting from the howl of the wind to the overall appearance of the green fields.

As they walked by a dirt path, they spotted Gretchen, along with Jarred and his colleagues; Shane and Sarah.

They both waved to the group, who in return, did the same.

"My precious baby!" Gretchen muttered in a cracked voice as she embraces her daughter.

"It's good to have you back, Sylvia." Jarred greeted the girl as he pats her by the shoulder.

They all looked down, staring solemnly at four tombstones aligned perfectly. The first one has Molly's name carved in, the second tombstone has Sylvia's non-biological father's name on it, the third one has Sheena's name on it, and the last one has Holly's name carved.

A sense of sadness dwells within Sylvia as she stares at the tombstones. Before all those hellish mess, she has a complete family. But now, it's only her, Tyler and their mother now.

"Even though Paulo lied to us, I'm still thankful for him." Gretchen stated, wiping a tear away.

All of them switched their gazes to Gretchen, giving her concerned looks.

"Why is that, mom?" Sylvia asked.

With a sigh, the widowed woman replied. "He still managed to make us happy... to see of what a happy family really felt like."

Sylvia smiled, agreeing mentally to her mother's statement. Even with the lies and trickery, Sylvia still thanked Paulo for giving her and her family a happy life even though he's really not the patriarch of the family.

"I'm sure they're all peaceful from above." Sarah uttered with a smile.

"Paulo loves you Sylvia. Always has." Shane said with a bright grin.

After spending a heartwarming bond with one another, they bid their farewells. After that, they all separated ways.

Sylvia decides to go back to the place where all the horror had occurred.

——————————————————

Standing still, Sylvia stares in awe to the place where her home once stood before. Flashes of those horrible memories 2 years ago appeared before Sylvia's eyes. But the girl didn't budged. No more tears now, for real. She moved on now. She finally learned how to let go of the past.

And so the young gal entered the tree-infested area, carrying the light box containing Paul's ashes. She walked, going towards the seashore she considered as paradise.

As Sylvia stumbles upon the beautiful scenery, she spotted her brother staring at the sea in front of him. Sylvia spotted Chantelle and Jack too. All of them are clad in black as if they're grieving.

she went closer, not able to contain the smile on her face.

"Tyler?"

The young man turned himself around, shocked to see her sister standing before him.

He can't contain his tears from falling. He tackled Sylvia with a warm hug, relieved to see his sister finally back in shape.

"I missed you so much Sylvia." Tyler whispered beside his sister's ear. "It felt so long."

Sylvia solemnly smiled, rubbing his brother's back gently. "I'm always here for you, brother." She muttered.

Tyler let go of the hug, rubbing his tears off as he stares at the box Sylvia is holding with sorrowful eyes.

"This is our real father..." he said, touching the smooth surface of the cardboard container. "I can't believe half of hell's cruel punishments landed towards us." He stated sadly. "First, I learned that Sheena is our cousin. Second, you're just adopted. And third..." he paused. Tyler soon started weeping quietly. "M-Molly is the real killer all along. She and Holly are both gone now."

Sylvia, along with Jack and Chantelle, comforted the weeping young man. Sylvia felt his brother's pain. That sense of hopelessness when almost all of your loved ones are gone now and will not remain by your side anymore, is indeed heart-crushing. That's life for Sylvia. Indeed it is cruel in different ways. But like what she said to Gail; 'Pain is just temporary.' In a world full of cruelty and wrath, you gotta learn how to make your own life and how to put bright colors in it. You gotta learn how to cope up and remain numb to the world's darkest side

"Baby. Stop crying." Chantelle comforted her now-lover; Tyler. She gave him a pat on the shoulder, rubbing it gently in order to ease his grief. "It's all in the past. They're at peace now." She said, rubbing a crystal liquid from one of her eyes off.

"Tyler." Sylvia whispered, holding her brother's cheeks with both hands. "You have a reason to live on. God didn't forsaken you from your grief. He's always there for you."

"He didn't took half of your family away man." Jack spoke. "Their time had come. It was time for them to go."

"But you know what Tyler?" Chantelle joined, placing a finger to Tyler's chest where his heart is located. "They're not dead." She claimed. "They continued living inside your heart. They were always there inside you. And they never leave."

With that, Tyler tearfully smiled to the words he has received from the three.

Sylvia, without a word, step closer to the sea in front of her. She stare up to the blue sky, her solemn face remains. "To my real mom and dad, to Paulo, Sheena, and the twins; wherever you guys are..." she closed her eyes for a bit, reminiscing all those joyful moments she had with her family. "I hope you're all happy and at peace..." she muttered.

With a sigh, Sylvia opened the box. She grabbed a handful of ashes and threw it into the sea. She threw and threw, watching the human dusts slowly being consumed by the shiny blue water. Sylvia's adopter indeed deserves to be set free. Poor man wasn't even able to feel half of life's bestest moments.

"You're free now... Dad." The girl muttered to herself.

Sylvia suddenly felt a warm hand wrapping around hers. She looked beside her, seeing Jack smiling genuinely at her.

"I'm glad things are back to normal now." He said.

Without warning, the young man wrapped Sylvia in a heartwarming hug. The girl returns the hug back, smiling peacefully.

As she closes her eyes, Sylvia heard a faint voice calling out to her up ahead.

"Sylvia! Over here!"

Her heart starts beating faster, fully recognizing whose the owner of the said voice.

She looked up ahead, nearly in tears as she saw Paulo and the twins waving happily at her.

"Sylvia! I'm sorry for everything. I'll always love you!" Molly hollered as she waves joyfully at the young gal.

"Don't forget me! I'll always be there for you Sylvy!" Holly hollered too.

"Tell your mother and brother that I love them and you Sylvia!" Paul was the last one to call out to the young girl.

Slowly, the images of Paul and the twins fades away slowly, along with their harmonic voices.

Tyler and Chantelle soon joined Sylvia and Jack. They exchanged smiles, holding hands as the 4 of them watches the blue waves dancing gracefully before them.

Sylvia may have faced such nightmare for so long, but then again, peace and harmony still exists fully within her right until now. Her family may be incomplete, but those hopeful memories will stay inside Sylvia's heart.
