Annamarie pov
I was sitting on a couch in the large study and reading. Suddenly Lijah came in.
" Anna." I looked up. He came over and sat down.
" I have to go back little sister. I'm sorry."
" It's fine Lijah. Just promise me that you'll be fine." He nodded his head and kissed my forhead.
" I promise sister." We hugged tightly then he left. I sighed and tried to go back to my reading.

Kol had left a week ago and now Elijah was gone. I missed my family but I had no desire to go to our birth place.

I was so lost in my thoughts I didn't notice someone sneaking up behind me till two hands were placed on my shoulders. I jumped up in a flash and saw Caius standing there with a smirk.
" Really? Was that absolutely necessary?" He shrugged and sat on the couch.
" You looked lost in thought."
" Oh and you thought the best way to draw me out was to scare me to death."
" You can't die remember?"
"Caius I swear to everything above........"
" Relax. I just was curious what had you so lost in thought." I rolled my eyes.
" Ever the curious scholar." He chuckled and spoke.
" I'm going to take that as a compliment. And I believe Marcus is more the scholar than me."
" Mmm. You both can be pretty scholarly when you want to be." He rolled his eyes.
" Funny." I smiled then spoke.
" Would you like to see what I'm doing?" He nodded his head. I showed him the book I was reading and he looked shocked.
" What is this?"
"My mother's spell. Daylight jewelry. Essentially they allow my kind to walk in the sun but given the right ingredients and a little alteration they could allow you all to not only walk in the sun but appear more human. You could eat and sleep. Do whatever it is you wish." Caius spoke.
" Is it possible?"
" That is what I am trying to figure out Caius. Besides. I need to do something to keep my mind occupied."
" Mmm. I suppose." I glanced at him then sighed.
" What are you hiding?"
" Nothing."
" Caius. I've been alive for over a thousand years. On top of that I was raised with brothers who never were good at lying. At least to me that is. So what are you hiding?"
" Okay. Fine. Fine. Marcus and Aro are searching for your true soul mate."
" I'm sorry. What?" He sighed and sat down.
" We wanted to surprise you. You need your happiness." I smiled and sat down next to him.
" Caius. Thank you. But I'm more focused on my family then my happiness. And you all are family." He chuckled and spoke.
" We know Anna. But you deserve to be happy." I chuckled and shook my head.
"Still the same after all these years." He smiled and shrugged.

I thought about the first time I met my three "brothers". One thing I had been drawn to was those three always thought of others first even if they hid it well.

Flashback
I was in the market with Lijah and Finn. For once my brothers were getting along and I was taking advantage of it.

While we were out I was looking at various things when I heard a shout. I looked and saw a man holding a girl by her wrist.
" Come on girl. Just come with me and I promise I'll be good to you." I growled and was going to move forward when Elijah grabbed me.
" Sister. Don't. We can't draw attention to ourselves." I growled and spoke.
" She's a innocent."
"Anna." I saw a man walk over to the other man. He had blond hair and blue eyes.
" Let her go."
" Stay out of this boy." Two more men came up. One had brown hair and brown eyes while the other had black hair and green eyes. The one with black hair spoke.
" I have a better idea. Why don't you do us all a favor and leave?" I saw where this was going so I got out of Elijah's grasp and went over. The man who was causing the problem scowled and spoke.
" Get away rich boy." I spoke.
" It should be you who should leave." The man turned to me.
" Excuse me girl?" I smirked and looked at him. I looked him in the eyes and compelled him.
" Why don't you apologize to this lady and these men and leave? Be politer from now on." The man did as I said then left. I smirked and turned to my brothers. Elijah chuckled and gave me a look.
" Annamarie." I shrugged and went over.
" Sorry Lijah."
"Mhmm." I kissed his cheek and he laughed. Finn spoke.
" You are a handful sister." I shrugged my shoulders. Just then a throat was cleared. I turned and saw the three men from earlier.
" Oh. Hello." I said.
" Hello. I wanted to say thank you for what you did." I smiled and spoke.
" It's no problem. I am Annamarie by the way. But I go by Anna. These are my brothers Finn and Elijah." The man with black hair smiled and spoke.
" I'm Aro. This is Caius and Marcus." I smiled.
" Nice to meet you three." Caius smiled.
" You as well." Elijah spoke just then.
" Anna. We should be going." I nodded my head then turned to the three.
" It was nice to meet you three. Have a good day."

Once we were walking home Elijah spoke.
" You seemed to take a liking to them." I smiled and spoke. 
" They're kind." Elijah chuckled and kissed my cheek.
" As are you sister."
End of flashback

I was drawn out of my thoughts by Caius. Caius spoke.
" Are you alright?" I smiled and spoke.
"I'm fine Caius." I looked through the book some more before I grinned. Caius spoke.
" I'm assuming you got it."
"Yep. It will take a little time but I got it." I jumped up and hugged him.
" Thank you Caius. For everything." He smiled and nodded his head.
" Anytime sister." I smiled. Finally things were looking up.
