  "Frank, you just need to ask Hazel out," Percy said out of the blue.

    Nico cleared his throat. They had left their finished English homework on Percy's cluttered desk. Nico, Percy, Jason, and Leo were lounging on the bed, while Frank was pacing. Grover was rolling an aluminum can between his hands on Percy's beanbag.

      "You need my approval," Nico said.

    "That is true," Jason said. "Thalia dated Luke against my better judgment and he only left her with a broken heart."

    "You better not break my sister's heart," Nico said and Frank found himself nodding.

   Still, something bothered him

   "Wait, you guys think you're better at deciding who your sisters should date than they are?" Frank asked. "Isn't that a  little sexist? It's not like your sisters do background checks on your potential girlfriends."

   "Actually, mine does," Jason said.

    "Of course Thalia does," Percy said, rolling his eyes. "But you do have a good point."

    "Well, Frank doesn't have to worry about impressing me," Nico said. "Hazel doesn't listen to my advice anyways. I'm just saying . . . I beat up Jacob for what he did and I'm not afraid to pummel you, Zhang."

   "It's Frank," Frank said, "and point noted."  

    He turned to Jason and said, "Your sister does background checks on your potential dates?"

    "Yeah, Reyna is the only one who ever passed her background check," Jason said.

    "And she's also the only girlfriend you've ever had," Percy noted.. "Bro, do you seriously only date girls your sister approves of?"

    Jason nodded and everyone burst into laughter.

    "I thought I was a goody two-shoes, but you make me look like a bad boy," Grover teased.

    "Hey, I have a bad boy reputation," Jason insisted.

    Everyone laughed again.

    "Piper is more of a bad boy than you will ever be," Leo said. "Why haven't you asked her out yet?"

   "Well, Thalia said that would be a bad idea," Jason said, biting his lip.

   Percy rolled his eyes and said, "Bro, seriously? Thalia is usually right, but she is rubbish when it comes to romance."

    "She's joining the Hunters after high school," Percy chimed in.

      "See?" Grover said. "The Hunters are great. I love how they help protect and care for National and State Parks, but they also swear off dating."

    "Romance is hard enough," Leo said. "Don't make it harder by limiting your options."

    'Yeah, you and Frank need to just man up and your crushes out," Percy said.

   "I need to talk to Reyna about it first," Jason said. "I don't want to upset her."

    "But she's been flirting with Michael Kahale," Percy pointed out.

    "Yeah, but I don't want to upset her," Jason repeated.

   "Goodbye lover boys," Nico said, standing up. "Will is picking me up."

    "Are you guys going to McDonalds?" Percy asked.

    "No, we're going to Hecate's Haunted House," Nico said. "Tonight is the last night it's open. Then, we'll head over to McDonalds."

    "I think I'm going to ask Hazel to go on a date," Frank said after Nico left.

    "Where?" Leo asked.

    "The zoo," Frank said with a smile.
