Date: September 24

    Two days after being handcuffed, Frank was finding himself looking at Hazel. The gods must have taken special work when they spun her soul, he thought, because Pandora could not be more sweet or beautiful than her. Of course, Frank was not staring at her like a stalker, but because they were partnered together in gym class. They were supposed to be passing a basketball to each other, but Frank kept messing up. That was probably because Hazel made him feel like an elephant next to mouse. 

   Suddenly, gym class was interrupted as three police officers walked into the gym. Coach Hedge blew his whistle and everyone froze as the police officers wove through the class. Finally, they stopped by Ethan Nakamura.

    "Are you Ethan Nakamura?" an officer asked.

    After he nodded, they handcuffed him and led him out of the gym.

    When Ethan returned to school the next week, his name was on everyone's lips. He looked different than before. His hair looked like he had cut it himself and was now wearing an eye patch. The biggest difference, however, was that a scowl was now plastered on his face.

   Later that day at lunch, everyone found out why he had chosen to do what he had done. Ethan was carrying his tray to his table when Jason confronted him.

    "Why'd you do it?" Jason asked, his voice raised.

    "Leave me alone, Grace," Ethan muttered.

   By now, the entire cafeteria had gone silent. Even the lunch ladies were watching the confrontation. Frank stood up and walked beside his friend. He had been accused alongside Jason of what Ethan had done.

   'Yeah, why'd you do that?" Frank asked. "You broke the law."

    "Why should I care about the law?" Ethan asked. 

    "Because you should care about justice," Jason growled. "Obviously, you don't."

    'Yes, I do!" Ethan shouted, drawing himself up to his fullest height. "I did it for justice."

    "How was that justice?" Frank asked. "You humiliated Piper and Jason and we were both accused of your crime."

    "I never meant to hurt you Frank Zhang," Ethan said. "You've suffered enough, but Piper and Jason deserved it. My mom taught me that justice includes punishment."

   "And what did you decide Piper and me needed punishment for?" Jason asked.

   "You're both always stuck on your high horses," Ethan sneered. 'You two are not deserving of your popularity. You needed to be humbled."

    "Say something hat will convince me not to pummel you into the ground," Jason growled.

   "I'd like to see you try," Ethan smirked. "You wouldn't want to ruin your reputation. It's already lower than a dirty brick."

   Jason stepped back and Ethan's smile widened.

    "You shouldn't have been with another girl right after you dumped your girlfriend," Ethan said. "You act like you're some gallant knight, but you act like you're so upset about your girlfriend dumping you and then you go sleep with another girl. Your friend Piper is no better. Half the upperclassmen have seen her naked already. My snap changed little; it simply revealed the truth."

    "You vindictive vigilante!" Jason shouted and he launched himself at Ethan who din't try to fight back.

    Frank realized what Ethan was doing. He pulled Jason off of Ethan right before Mrs. Dodds came up to them.

   "All of you, go to the office," she said.
