Dani's P.O.V.

At around 6:55 I heard the door bell ring.

"I'll get it mom!" I yelled as I ran to the door.

"Wow!" Pink said shocked.

"W-what is it? Do I have my shirt on backwards or something in my teeth?" I asked. I have never seen Pink like this before. He was just staring at me with a smile on his face.

"N-no not at all. You just look beautiful!" Pink stuttered.

I blushed as I walked out the door, "You don't look so bad yourself!"

He opened the door for me as I was walking to his car. 

"My lady." He said with a wink as he bowed.

"Ahh thank you kind sir!" I said with a laugh.

The baseball game was boring to me, but I was glad I was spending it with Pink.

"Are you going to play football next year, Pinkle?" I questioned. 

"I don't know. I mean I want to play but I don't want to sign that fucking pledge it's complete bullshit that we have to sign this!" He said as he was holding up the paper from his frocket.

"I know I think it's bullshit too! No matter what you decide I'll support you in every step of the way." I said with a smile as I lightly kissed his cheek.

"I need to tell you something, Dani." 

"What is it Pink?" I asked suspiciously.

"I lo-"

"What's up Flyd?" O'Bannion interrupted us. I can't stand that guy! He's a total asshole who failed senior year and is hazing the freshman once again this year. He always harassed me last year to the point of not showing up to school for a week and a half.  Pink is the only person I told this to. I was too scared to say anything.

"Nothing much man just watching the game." Pink said in irritation.

"Well if it isn't Dani Peterson. Long time no see sexy." he said with a devilish smirk as he came from behind me and rubbed my shoulders. I was so scared I didn't know what to do.

"Leave me alone!" I said quietly.

 "How about later you can show me what you look like naked?" Pink's jaw clenched and balled his fists. I have never seen him this angry before.

"Get you damn hands off of her O'Bannion! Don't you ever talk to her like that!" Pink yelled.

"Or else what?" O'Bannion questioned.

"Or else this!" Pink then punched him in the nose causing him to fall back and pass out. "Let's get you out of here!" Pink said as he grabbed my hand and lead me to his car.

I was crying at this point. I have never felt so scared in my life. We sat in his car as he was comforting me. He kissed my forehead and wiped my tears away from my face. 

"He's never going to mess with you again. I promise I'll do whatever it takes to protect you, Dani. I love you so much Dani Peterson! No one is ever going to hurt you for as long as I live!" I looked at him wide eyed. Did he just say that he loved me?

"W-what did you just say?" I questioned.

"I said that I love you." he said with a smile on his face.

"I love you too, Randall Flyd!" I said with a laugh.

"I've been waiting too damn long for you to say that!" Pink said as he pulled me in for a kiss. His lips felt soft against mine. The world was at a standstill as Pink and I kissed. There was so much heat and passion between us that the car started to fog up.

Once we pulled away he asked me the question I've been wanting to hear since I've known him.

"Dani Peterson, will you be my girlfriend?"

"Yes! I would love to be your girlfriend!" I said as I kissed him again.

I can't believe this was happening! Pink and I are dating this is a dream come true!
