Dani's P.O.V.

We made it back to the school. We decided to sneak onto the field by walking through the gate. It had a lock in it but that didn't stop us. I took one of my bobby pins and picked the lock.

"You're not as innocent as you seem little lady." Wooderson smirked.

"Shut up Wooderson!" I said as I rolled my eyes.

We finally made it on the field and sat down. It was me, Pink, Shavonne, Don, Slater, and Wooderson.

"You and Donnie boy huh?" I said winking to Shavonne.

"Yeah lol he has the biggest heart in Texas." She said with a giggle.

Don and Pink were doing drills like coach would in the football season.

"Break down break down! My grandma can do better than that!" Don said making fun of coach as Pink did drills.

"Yes sir!" Pink yelled as if he was at practice. We all started laughing. Don tackled Pink to the ground and I lost it. I was on the ground laughing hysterically.

"Here's the joint." Slater said.

"Thanks man!" I said as I took a long drag.

"Yo Pink do you have anything I can use to roll up another joint with?" Wooderson asked.

"Yeah man I have some paper in my car." He said as he handed him the keys.

"Hey man I found this in your glove compartment. 'I pledge to not engage in drugs, alcohol, of sexual activities that can effect our way to the championships of '76'" he read off the pledge and Pink got pissed.

"Why is everyone giving this back to me when I obviously don't want to sign it?" Pink yelled as he snatched up the paper.

"Man, it's the same bullshit they tried to pull in my day. If it ain't that piece of paper, there's some other choice they're gonna try and make for you. You gotta do what Randall Pink Floyd wants to do man. Let me tell you this, the older you do get the more rules they're gonna try to get you to follow. You just gotta keep livin' man, L-I-V-I-N." Wooderson replied causing us all to laugh.

"Come on man just sign it not for the coaches but for us man!" Don said.

"You act like you're oppressed. You two are the top dogs at school. Why are you bitching?" Shavonne asked Pink.

"I don't even know if I want to play ball anymore. I don't even know what to do with my life man. If I'm gonna play ball it has to be on my terms not theirs!" Pink said as I lightly kissed his cheek to sooth him. He stood up and took my hand and we stood looking at the scenery.

"Well, all I'm saying is that I want to look back and say that I did I the best I could while I was stuck in this place. Had as much fun as I could while I was stuck in this place. Played as hard as I could while I was stuck in this place... Dogged as many girls as I could while I was stuck in this place." Don said causing Pink and I to turn around and laugh.

All of a sudden we heard sirens and froze.
