inevitable
"Chanji!"
"Ah Haru, hi." Chanji smiled at me.
"What are you doing?" I asked out of boredom.
"I'm headed to Lotteria to go grab some dinner and sodas for my coworkers." She smiled.
Chanji was the girl who got me into the car with Jungkook the other day. Disregarding that one incident, she's really a nice person. Usually people the same age gets friends immediately, but due to her job she always spoke formally to me and kind of treated me like a 'boss' - I really liked her though.
"Can I go with you!?" I questioned excitedly.
"I'm sorry Haru, but you can't." She said and my excitement fell to the ground.
"It's okay." I sighed.
"I can keep you company when the boys will go on stage later?" She said and made a smile appear on my face again.
"Yes yes yes! I would love that!" I exclaimed.
Let's just say I was a little desperate for girl company.
"I'll see you there." She smiled and headed off.
"See you Chanji~" I waved at her as she left.
"Who are you waving at?" Jimin scared me. I turned around and nudged him.
"Why would I tell you." I teased.
"Come on, it's not like I can't go watch the security cameras." He pushed.
"Aish you're so annoying." I rolled my eyes.
He kept looking at me, seeking an answer.
"Fine!" I yelled and surprised myself by my loud voice, "It was Chanji."
"Oh! The one with her hair always tied up in a bun?" Jimin said.
"Ya!" I nudged him.
"What?"
"You don't have to notice stuff like that about her." I said, a little jealousy showing and Jimin chuckled.
"Haru, she's literally fixing my make up all the time." He calmed me.
"Oh." I said coldly, but inside I was so relieved.
"Actually, she's got the perfect height for-"
"Jimin!" I warned.
"Calm down.. You're the only one I'm thinking about~" He assured me and placed a kiss on the top of my head before heading away.
"Besides, you're the same height anyway." He said before disappearing behind a door.
"I'm also cuter." I told myself sulking.
"There you are!" I said as Chanji sat down next to me.
"I'm sorry, there's a lot of stuff to do when they're on stage." She smiled.
"Don't apologize." I smiled at her and turned my look to the stage.
"They still have a few songs left." I said and Chanji hummed in response.
She knows Haru! She's a fucking staff member
As Chanji and I chatted and had dinner my eyes couldn't let go of Jungkook. The way he moved when he danced..and his voice... it got me hooked. The way he interacted with his fans... the hearts, the eye contact, the screaming fans almost fainting by him being just in front of them... why was I suddenly getting jealous?
"Why are you looking sulky?" Chanji questioned and my eyes finally ripped off of Jungkook's body.
"I- I don't know." I lied.
"Don't worry about them on stage. You know they love their fans and love to interact with them." She said as if she could read minds.
"You know Jimin only thinks about you in that way." She went on and teased me. My eyes grew big.
"Jimin." I repeated the name.
Why didn't I think about Jimin one single time? Get it together Haru! You're with Jimin and not Jungkook!!
"Yeah, the two of you are together right?"
"Not exactly together but.. yeah.. you know." I hesitated not knowing what to say.
"You're lucky... I know I'm a staff member, but I seriously can not not drool over Mr Jungkook." She said and zoned out, her eyes following Jungkook on the stage.
Get in line
"I mean look at him." She said and I turned my look to him again.
"He's perfect." She spoke like she was in heaven.
"I know right." I said under my breath so she couldn't hear.
"Nothing's gonna happen though, I need this job and I don't want to get fired." She said and got up.
"I need to head back to work now, I'll see you." She smiled and left.
"Bye." I sighed and waved.
I turned my head again and forced myself to keep my eyes on Jimin. It wasn't hard for me to look at him cause he's a handsome guy and actually.. I felt like I had fallen a bit for him... but Jungkook's aura catches my eyes like no other...
Later that evening Jimin, Taehyung, Jungkook and I went to a club. I didn't know why but I felt like Taehyung was annoyed by me as he always expressed, but he was actually the one convincing me to go as I said no when Jimin had asked me.
I just wanted some time alone but I couldn't say no to Taehyung's begging - mostly because it wasn't begging but actually a threat.
"Haru, you have to come. Jimin really wants you to and I don't want to hang around a drunk sulky Jimin all night. Jungkook is joining too." Taehyung smirked.
"But..I'm tired Tae." I answered ignoring him.
"I'll tell Jungkook what you told me and Hoseok-hyung the other day." He said casually as if he was used to blackmailing like this.
"Fine Tae!" I rolled my eyes, "I hate you."
"Good." He smiled and left me to get ready.
I didn't drink too much at first, but as I was taking a break from all the dancing and just watched the boys dance, I noticed how Jungkook was dancing with a girl. I would almost say dirty dancing. Forget the almost, it was dirty dancing.
Throughout the night I kept catching glances of Jungkook with a different girl every time and it somehow made me kinda jealous...
He was just having fun and being a boy, but I kinda felt like I was the only one allowed to be that close to him... In my dreams it was always just him and I. I was not used to seeing him giving other girls attention.. and I didn't like it.
"I think I'll head home." I told Jimin as my mood had changed.
"Why?" he questioned.
"I just wanna go home." I said unable to give hime a reason and got up but almost fell over.
"Woah, I'll get you home." Jimin said and got up to help me gain my balance, "You're too drunk to get home by yourself."
I wasn't aware of how much I had drunk while sulking over Jungkook's actions.
"No I'm okay. I'll go rest." I said and pushed his hands off me.
"Fine. Text me when you get there." Jimin sighed and stepped back as I left.
"These stupid shoes!" I drunkly yelled and kicked them off of me. I was heading towards the hotel and my feet were hurting from walking in high heels. I wasn't used to wearing high heels, but they were too pretty to leave on the shelve in my new closet.
I picked up the shoes and apologized to them before moving on.
"It's so cold." I whimpered as I walked towards the hotel in only a dress and bare feet. I quivered as my eyes slowly started tearing up.
"Why doesn't he pay me any attention?" I sighed and a tear dropped.
"Ya! Stop thinking about him every fucking chance you get!" I yelled to myself.
"Here." Someone behind me said and a warm coat was wrapped around me.
I looked up to the side and noticed Jungkook.
"Thanks Kooks." I said and leant into him but he pulled away.
"Why does the weather have to be so mean to me!" I then yelled in frustration.
"Kooks?" He questioned. I looked at him in confusion and then it hit me.
"Wait, I'm not dreaming!?" The words slipped out of my mouth.
"Dreaming?" He repeated my words.
"Jungkook, do you love me?" I questioned him not even understanding myself.
I'm too drunk
"You're weirding me out." He said and kept on walking.
"Shit shit shit shit shit." I mumbled and hit myself in the head realizing I was talking to the real Jungkook.
"Sober up now Haru!" I told myself and hit myself another time in the head as I caught up on the boy a few feet in front of me.
Of course he didn't wait for me, he's such a gentleman - notice the sarcasm
"Just forget about that please." I mumbled, "I'm drunk."
"You don't say." He shrugged.
"Now hurry up, I have something else to do." He added coldly.
Then why did you bother to stop and help me?
"Wow, coldhearted Jungkook is back. For a second there, I thought you actually had some human in you." I said.
"You're drunk." Jungkook shrugged again.
"I know." I smiled and skipped forward, "Who's slow now?"
