Two weeks later, Evan returned home to see another car in the driveway as she looked at Sarah.

"I didn't think we were expecting company?"

"I'm pretty sure that who ever it is will be leaving soon."

"You're not gonna come in with me?"

"I gotta get home."

"Okay."

"Call me if you need anything."

"I will."

"Bye now." Sarah said as Evan got out and walked up to the door to hear Jessica laughing and a man's voice.

Evan walked in to see Jessica and some man talking as she did not hear the door open as she took another sip of her wine.

"Jess?" Evan asked as he looked at the rather mysterious man.

Jessica turned her head and it went back to see Jack's face.

"You must be Evan." Jack said as he stood up.

"Why yes I am. I see that Jessica has taken great care of you while I was away."

"Yes she has. I was just in town for a few days, when I remembered that she lived here and I wanted to see her."

"Where did y'all meet up at?"

"Why do you care?" Jessica asked

"Because I want to know."

"That's none of your business."

"I'm gonna go ahead and leave." Jack said as he did not want to be in the middle of their argument.

"No, stay." Jessica said

"No, I really have to get going, but it was a pleasure seeing you again." Jack said as he walked out the door as Jessica's eyes laid on Evan.

"You were awfully damn rude." Jessica said as she walked into the kitchen.

"Are you having an affair?''

"No, but you might be."

"Jessica, I don't like coming home to see men in our house."

"Get over it!"

"No honey, I'm not gonna get over it."

"Why don't you go back to the girl you were engaged to before you married me."

"Because she's with someone else."

"I don't have time for this anymore and I can have whoever I want here and it was my house first."

"When you're not home, I don't invite girls over."

"Yes you have."

"Well, I don't flirt with them."

"I wasn't flirting with him. Jesus, you're overreacting!"

"I am not. I just don't want my wife to suddenly just up and fuck some random man she was once in a movie with and let's not forget what happened in that movie."

"That was such a long time ago."

"Do you like him?"

"What?"

"I said, do you like him?"

"Oh my God! You're being over dramatic."

"Jess, just answer my question."

"As a friend, yes."

"Anything other than that?"

"No."

"Could've fooled me." Evan said as he walked off, leaving Jessica in the kitchen with her own thoughts.

Later on that night, Evan and Jessica still avoided each other as Evan was still mad at her for no reason and Jessica just wanted to be left alone as she ate her food in silence as Evan came in to grab him a bite to eat.

Jessica was in bed, reading a book as Evan walked in and laid down beside of her, facing the other way as she sighed.

"Are you still mad at me?"

Silence

"Evan?"

Silence again

"This is ridiculous!"

He was just not in the mood to talk, or in their case, fight.

"Where do we go from here?" He asked

"What?"

"What about us?"

"What are you talking about?"

"Do you still want to have kids?" Evan asked as he faced her way again.

"Honey, if I was able to have kids again. I would, but my child bearing years are over with.''

"I meant adoption. We talked about adopting before we got married, remember?"

"I do."

"Then, let's adopt."

"You're serious?"

"One hundred percent babe." Evan said as he kissed her.

"I want to have babies with you!"

"Only if it were that easy babe."

"I know, but we'll be the best parents to any little boy or girl that comes along our away."

"I know for a fact that we will be. Especially you dear."

"Now, can we kiss and make up?"

"How about a different plan?" Evan said as he smirked, which Jessica knew what he was initiating.

"That sounds great to baby." Jessica said as he kissed her as they turned the lights out.

Her head laid on his chest as he played with her golden curls as she yawned.

"That was great!"

"You were amazing!''

"Just amazing?"

"You were incredible." Jessica said as she kissed him.

"Do you want a boy or a girl?"

"Maybe we can have both."

"Like twins?"

"Yeah."

"Twins would be amazing."

"I think so too."

"We'll start the process soon baby, but for right now, I just want you to hold me in your arms." Jessica said as he did just that.

He kissed her forehead as they drifted off to sleep in a peaceful slumber.
