Chapter Two
The girl looks out her window on the plane and sighs. Just a few more hours, and then I'll be back home the girl thinks. Not realizing how tired she was before, the girl falls asleep.
The girl woke up to a fright. She was surrounded by darkness, the type that had no end. Or beginning. But it wasn't the darkness she was afraid of, no she has been to this place too many times for it to be that. Infact, now the never ending darkness sortof soothed her. No, it was the fact that she didn't know how she got here in the first place that scared her. "It's been awhile since you've returned here, Alice. Almost thought you weren't able to come back anymore." Alice turned around to see the King of this darkness, the King of Dreams, Darkrai. Alice smiled and replied to the Pokemon, "So did I, but now it seems that I'm able to return." At that she evolved into a Zoroark, one of her favorite forms and the most fitting for the darkness. Darkrai just nodded and said, "Good, now return to your home and protect it as we have trained," then vanished. And with that, Alice woke up.
"Will all passengers remain seated, we are now arriving at Melemele Island!" announced a woman's voice over the intercom. I quickly look out the window to see a glimpse of the home that I left six years ago, then look at the five Pokeballs on my belt. I smile to think about how Gramps, Kaji, and the others will react whenever they see my team. I've told them a little about my travels with my companions, especially Gramps, but there's a difference between seeing and believing. Then I wonder What if they don't like them? As if sensing my need for reinsurance, one of my Pokeballs wiggle. I smile again, casting aside any worry that I might of had. Of course they'll love them I think I do. As I look out my window again I see Gramps, Kaji, Mizu, and Kusa. My three friends all have Pokemon on their shoulder or in their arms or by their side, and I can't help but grin. Now they all have partners in crime I laugh to myself. As I get off the plane with my suitcases I decide to have a little fun and pretend I'm looking for my welcoming crew, even though I saw them even while I was still in the air. Of course Mizu is the one see me first and can barely prepare myself before I am forced into one of her bear hugs. She screams "Alice!" I barely have enough air to do so, to girl is strong, but I laugh and say, "Mizu!" and returned the favor. The girl may of had the excitement of a sixteen year old, but I had the training of one. When the guys and Gramps got over she laughed and said, "Wow Alice, how did you get so strong?!" I just shrugged and said, "Well, when you train and travel more than you stay at home you tend to learn a thing or two." At that Mizu laughed, then moved aside so Gramps could get a hug, then Kusa, and finally Kaji. Each one of them took a suitcase (Hey, I am a girl) and we started heading back to town. When we arrived we were immediately greeted by a dozen or so voices yelling, "Aloa Alice, Welcome Back!" It is obvious that the others threw a surprise festival for me, so I couldn't help but start grinning from ear to ear. Kaji came up to me, saw the reconnection in my eyes, and said, "And everyone knows what the main event of a festival is!" Those same dozen or so voices respond with, "The Battles!" I grinned at my childhood friend and said, "You're on!" With that we walked to the stage in the center of the town, and began our battle.
