Jungkook didn't go to school again on Wednesday. He made it about halfway there and then took a right towards the city mall instead. There was already a missed phone call from his mother and he knew she'd be telling him to get there on time. Today wasn't going to be the day.
He quickly texted Jimin and Taehyung where he was, the difference in replies was amusing, a simple 'okay' from one and then and angry paragraph from the other saying how he needs to shape up his act and stop acting like a child. This angry paragraph was followed by some heart emojis and 'i'll miss you in physics.'
Jungkook chuckled and shoved his phone into his back pocket before jumping out of his jeep and exiting the parking garage.
There was a home department store here and Jungkook was hoping to buy some things to help him with his shoot at Jin's today.
He quickly found the kitchen section and noticed a bunch of aprons in various colors. That would look good.
Jungkook pulled out his phone again and found the right name in snapchat, all while going through the aprons to find a good color.

A few minutes later, he had grabbed two aprons and made his way to checkout. They were going to look cute as hell later on. That better earn him some more points.
"Thank you." he smiled at the cashier before taking the bag and walking throughout the mall. A few things caught his eye in the windows and he couldn't help but get them. Jungkook was a big sore loser and would do whatever to gain some extra points.
He ran into a few fans and took a few photos before decided maybe it was time to head over to Jin's. His guest had already graduated so they didn't have to wait for the other to be out of school.
By the time Jungkook drove Jin's house and got the gate code right, it was a little past noon. "Are you not in school again?" Jin frowned seeing the younger boy enter his home without knocking and make himself comfortable.
"I have big plans, I need to start early." Jungkook said. It seemed like a good enough excuse for him.
Jin scoffed, "Yeah I know, I went shopping for it all and left my wallet at home. Poor Joanie had a heart attack looking at the receipt since he had to pay." he said.
Jungkook gave his hyung a big hug before going to the kitchen and opening the fridge. "I'm making enough for you all."
"When's your help getting here?" Jin asked, taking a seat on one of the stools.
There was a ring at the door and Jungkook turned around, "That should be him."
Namjoon came walking down the stairs at that moment and glanced at the front door, the glass showing who it was and making him frown. "How many people know our gate code Jin?" he asked.
The eldest just shrugged with an innocent smile, "I'm a welcoming person."
Namjoon went to the door and sighed before pulling it open, revealing a smiling boy. "Namjoonie!" he shouted.
"Hoseok!" he said back with less enthusiasm. "There goes my chances of taking a nap."
Hoseok frowned and closed the door behind him, "Dude you love me."
With another sigh Namjoon just nodded, "You're right, but Jungkook tends to bring out the loud in people."
There was a shout from the kitchen and the clashing of pans, obviously Jungkook disagreed with the previous statement. "Hobi hyung! Get in here!" he yelled. "I bought you something!"
That's all it took for the boy to run to the kitchen in excitement and gasp at the green apron the youngest held up for him. "We are going to kick ass today." Jungkook said.
"Hell yeah." Hoseok said, slipping on the apron and tightening the strings on the back.
"That's the spirit!" Jungkook grinned, "Now was your hands and I'll tell you what to do."
The boy followed orders and dried his hands quickly with the dish towel before standing beside Jungkook at the cutting board. "Hello Jin's channel," the ravenette started, "This is Hobi and he's gonna help me win. That's the only introduction needed."
Jungkook set a knife down on the cutting board and opened the bag of little sweet peppers, "Cut these in half please." he said.
There was already a pan on the stove with olive oil and some cut up asparagus in it, the smell was great and Jungkooks stomach rumbled. Part of him wanted to screw this whole thing and just eat with Hoseok.
His plan was to have a bunch of appetizers arranged in a spread that looked aesthetically pleasing, except he wasn't quite sure how to make that happen with food, but he'll make it work somehow. "Add this," Jungkook handed some of the cream cheese mix to Hoseok once he was done and showed him how to spoon it into the peppers.
Once that was done they added some of the little asparagus to the tops and little leaf for fancy decoration. "Oh my gosh he's so cute." Hoseok held up the little pepper and pouted.
Jungkook giggled quietly at his friend and moved the peppers to the tray in an arc fashion. He had to make sure all his appetizers ideas would fit.
The continued on more appetizers with pretty colors and cute decorations that was suppose to make it seem more fancy and boujee.
"That looks really good Kook." Hoseok said.
The tray was all ready for Jimin and Taehyung to come and eat, which would be any minute since classes ended an hour ago.
"Thanks, you helped a lot." Jungkook said. "Now let's show the camera," he said, taking the tray and doing his best to tilt it so the camera could catch their nice set up.
"What's next?" Hoseok asked, carefully watching Jungkook set the tray back down and avoid dropping any of them. "We have to make the sushi." Jungkook said, going over to the fridge and looking for the salmon and extra cream cheese packages.
"Do you know where the cream cheese is?" Jungkook asked, checking the shelves again to make sure he didn't miss it. He found the premade rice and seaweed, but the cream cheese seemed to be hiding.
"You told me to use it." Hoseok turned around from washing his hands.
Jungkook turned around as well and his eyes widened a bit, "You used all of it?"
Hoseok shrugged sheepishly with a little nod, "I thought that's what i was suppose to do." he defended himself.
"Shit." the ravenette mumbled, "I hope none of them are lactose intolerant."
"What do we do?" the older boy asked. Having no cream cheese in this sushi would be weird, the texture would be thrown off completely.
Jungkook thought for a second before inhaling deeply, tilting his head back and shouting, "Namjoonie hyung!"
"Fire!" Hoseok yelled as well. Maybe that would work to get the man downstairs faster.
Sure enough, Namjoon can running down the stairs with a blanket around his shoulders and a widened eyes, "Where's the fire? Where are the guinea pigs? Jin's gonna kill me oh god-"
"There's no fire." Jungkook cut him off. He smiled sweetly and held up car keys, "Can you go buy more cream cheese for us?"
Namjoon sighed and took the keys, "You're lucky I'm expecting food from this."
"It's gonna be great, we're just gonna do the dessert until you get back." Jungkook said, walking back to the fridge and looking for the ingredients.
As Namjoon was leaving, he noticed two boys walking up the driveway with tired eyes and backpacks. "They're already inside, go ahead." he told the younger boys who smiled and made their way inside.
"Hello!" Jimin greeted the two boys in the kitchen, he had his hands over his eyes as he walked with a smile, "I don't want to peak, I am too excited."
Taehyung has his hands on the boys shoulder and guided him past the counter and eventually into the living room. "Hey guys," Jungkook said, "The menus are on the coffee table. I had mine laminated."
"Fancy." Taehyung said, picking up the paper with a small smile directed towards the younger. Jungkook just nodded and tucked some of his hair behind his ear, "That was the goal."
The two boys sat on the couch after Jimin messed with the camera and turned it on. They started talking and Jungkook did his best to ignore a certain deep and rich laugh that kept sending shivers down his spine.
"Hobi, talk louder." Jungkook mumbled.
"Uh, okay." he raised his voice a little. "Where's the crust?"
Jungkook froze as he held the packages of pudding and crushed walnuts. "Crust?"
Hoseok just innocently nodded, "Yeah, the hard graham part that everything goes on." he explained, "My mom makes a good one from scratch."
"Well your mom isn't here Hobi." Jungkook closed his eyes and shook his head with a tired laugh, "I picked this recipe because I thought you knew how to make it."
"Well, that's tough." Hoseok laughed and Jungkook couldn't help but join, slapping his hyungs arm in playful frustration. "Go serve them the appetizers, I'll make some bullshit up." Jungkook collected himself and pushed his friend out of the kitchen.
Jimin and Taehyung were trying to figure out the youngers menu, which really gave them no clue as to what they would be eating.
"Rainbow?" Taehyung said, "That's all we get as a clue for the appetizers?"
The older boy just put the menu back down and shrugged, "It's gonna be some gay shit."
Taehyung chuckled and kept reading the rest of the menu, "Then we have Finding Nemo followed by a lovely dessert called, Sex In A Pan."
"I told you!" Jimin exclaimed, "It's all gay."
"Guys!" Hoseok called for their attention as he set the table with the tray of appetizers arranged precisely as Jungkook wanted.
The two boys came walking over, obviously too curious as to what they were going to be having to eat to wait any longer. Once seeing the tray it made sense. "Clever." Taehyung said.
Each appetizer had some color to it, from the sweet peppers to the fruit topping crackers, all arranged in an arc, like a rainbow.
Hoseok quickly ran back to the kitchen as Jungkook called for him. They had just got the cheese from Namjoon and had to quickly finish up so they both could finally sit down.
"This is really good Kookie!" Jimin praised him with his cheeks full and eyes shining with joy. Taehyung was too busy eating to say anything but he nodded along in agreement.
"Make sure you have room for Finding Nemo." Jungkook said, walking over with the plates of sushi. "Enjoy." he dramatically bowed.
"Is it almost done?" Jungkook asked running back into the kitchen and whispering over his friends shoulder. Hoseok was busy layering the pudding and cream cheese all while trying to keep up with the video they found on the internet. "Maybe?" he was unsure of himself.
"Thats gonna have to do." Jungkook said, taking the pan and shoving it into the oven. "It's just needs to get a little brown on top to look decent."
Once it was done, Jungkook pulled it back out and added the crushed walnuts on top before getting the ice cream out to go with it. "Go go go go go." he pushed Hoseok out of the kitchen into the next room with the table and watched as the two boys eyes went wide and had smiled to match. He was totally going to win.
