SUMMARY: He fled Woodbury with many others, including his mother, when the Governor was forcing the fragile boy and others in the town into a war they did not want to be a part of. They found the prison and were invited in with open arms, and within no time of meeting the boy with striking blue eyes, the OC was falling head over heels.

He makes every attempt at showing Carl how much he cares for him, but when the group joins Alexandria Safe Zone, the boy can see that the love of his life is falling for someone else. Although he does want Carl to love him back, all he truly desires is to keep the boy safe and protected, even if that does cost him his own life.

ADDITIONAL INFO: The OC is in love with Carl, but Carl is falling for Enid. He can't tell if Carl likes him, as well. He has asthma and wasn't a fighter for a long time, but with time with Carl, he slowly learns how to take care of himself. Even though he does love Carl, he just wants the boy to be happy and safe, even if it isn't with him. He wants to protect Carl at all costs. Do not make where he hates Enid because Carl likes her; this is not a highschool drama. He doesn't hate her. He doesn't really hate anyone, really, unless they do something to hurt him or his mother, like the Governor did  maybe have Negan take his mother back to the Sanctuary, so itll give him lots of motivation to fight to get her back; he is a mommy's boy, after all. Maybe have her die. Maybe have him die to save Carl, since he does make it clear to him that he would die for him.
