Extreme Aggressor - II

Continuation of Extreme Aggressor - I

Once inside the private jet, Annabel made sure to sit next to the window, enjoying watching out of it when they were up and high in the air, Morgan instantly taking a seat next to her, Spencer sat on the long seat that resembled a large couch, Hotch sat in front of Morgan and Gideon sat next to Reid.

"How have things been at the BAU?" Gideon questioned, he knew a few things but unless Reid was needed on a case he was with him, "Great." Annabel wasted no time in replying, turning her head at her boss and the young adult next to him and adding "When Reid isn't there." Spencer looked at her with slightly narrowed eyes, annoyed that she was once again picking on him.

"She's speaking nonsense, I miss having you around kid, don't listen to her." Derek countered, shooting a small look at Annabel, silently reprimanding her for her words, "It's been eerily quiet at the office, not have you there giving us all sorts of facts randomly." Spencer smiles at the dark-skinned man in appreciation at his attempt to make Spencer not feel bad.

"I'm not going to lie, I've enjoyed being away from the BAU and Lee, it's given me an insight as to what life as a profiler is without her." Spencer started, "Let me guess, lonely, depressing and without any light."  Annabel teased with a smirk, looking at the other youngest agent in the jet, Spencer looked at her with annoyance clear on his features, knowing fully well that she was doing to him what he had done to her at the university.

"Peaceful." he corrected her, as calmly as he could although everyone, especially Annabel knew just how much Annabel got under his skin, just like he got under hers, not matter if it wasn't a topic up for debate or if there wasn't a reason to bicker.

"Enough, we don't have time to deal with you two bicker, a woman has 35 hours to live." Hotch told the two, both of them opened their mouths to retaliate but closed them after a moment, knowing fully well that their unit chief was correct, but even though that was true they still shot the other an annoyed glare.

"Victimology." Gideon ordered, pinching the bridge of his nose at the two young members, a part of him never being able to understand why exactly the two were always butting heads, everyone grabbed a file and opened it on the victims, current and prior. "His first victim was 26-year-old Melissa Kirsh. Stab wounds, strangulation." Spencer began, reading off the file he had in his hands, "Wait, wait. Back up. Back up." Morgan began.

His brown eyes looking around his colleagues, a confused expression taking over his features, "He stabbed her... And then strangled her to finish her off?" Both Spencer and Hotch shook their heads at Derek, Annabel giggled lowly at his confused state and Gideon was the one who corrected him "Other way around."

"Why do you think he started using the belt with the second murder?" Gideon then asked the team in general, "Contrary to popular belief, strangling someone with one's own hands is not as easy as movies and shows and even books make it out to be." Annabel explained knowledgeably, looking at Gideon as she spoke, "He tried, probably found that it took too long." Spencer continued, disliking the fact that he was, for once since they had been hired by the BAU, agreeing with her.

"So he stabbed her instead." Derek continued, his tone dejected, "And realized it would be hours cleaning up the blood." Hotch added, looking down at his file, "So next time, our boy's got a method- the belt." Derek finished, tapping his fingers against the table.

"He's learning, perfecting his scenario. Becoming a better killer." Gideon agreed, "His second victim was 28-year-old Anne Cushing. Strangulation with the belt, at first the police weren't sure if it was the same unsub but when the next victims that came after her bore the same strangulation marks and the belts around their necks indicated that it was indeed the same unsub." Annabel told the group, reading off the file, her voice was calm and were they not on a case, soothing.

"Fast forward to our newest victim being kidnapped. The unsub left a note, alerting authorities that it was him who had killed the last women. Not being stupid they call us in and here we are with 35 hours to find out victim before she joins the rest of them." Derek concluded, leaning back into his seat, dropping his folder on the table.
