Sweet creature | Fight for you

She was drawn to him in ways she

Didn't understand.

His eyes ran through her soul,

Chasing her......

they were the only eyes that could stop her dead in her tracks

While traveling at the speed of light.

Serenity

It seemed silly. Going to a party after our profound night of confessions, and uncovering of our pasts. A night of deep emotions, but to me it was a statement. A test of our vows if you will, and most importantly - most selfishly I wanted everyone to know that Kai Carson belonged to me, and I belonging to him. So, here we stood. Walking into the most popular party of the year, hand and hand with the Schools troublemaker. Standing as one, claiming each other to the public. It felt exhilarating, knowing that everyone would see us together and get the picture right away. I never thought that I would care so much about setting an expectation to my peers, but being Kai's girl felt like a reward in it's own. That, nobody else had the same access to his heart the way that I did. I was overjoyed by the stares, and quiet whispers from the people as we entered the house.

"Thank you for coming to this with me" I thanked kai, looking into his hazel blue eyes, that were already looking back at me.

A smile took over his glorious face. He looked dashing in the moonlight, the most beautiful thing I've ever seen in this world. A gem to this earth.

I was so lucky - no, I was so blessed. Blessed to be loved by this enchanting human being, who shined, both inside and out in my eyes.

"Anything for you, anything." The deep rusk of his husky voice sent butterflies in my stomach as I blushed a deep Scarlet red.

"Hey!" The familiar voice of Aubree white broke me out of my gaze.

I turn, only to see Aubree with a red cup in her hands, and a playful grin on her face.

"I like this, this is cute." Aubree says, gesturing to me and Kai, pointing out our hands that locked together.

"Me too." I say, squeezing Kai's hand in comfort.

"Aubree, this is Kai.....My boyfriend" I greet the two, not really sure if they've met each other before. I'm sure they must've seen each other around, but until now Kai just seemed like he would never be one to be social with anyone at our school, and with his bad reputation I'm sure they've heard about him, but never really gotten to know him the way that I knew him.

"Hi Kai, it's nice to finally meet you, and not the reputation of you - but you." Aubree says, pleased.

"Diddo" Kai says, matching her tone.

"Well, I'm not going to let you two hide in a corner all night, everyone will be happy that you came, come." Aubree gestures for us to follow, as she walks in the crowd of partying teenagers.

I turn to Kai with a small smile, before following Aubree into the crowd. Our hands never break from each others, even as we walk through the crowd together. I noticed half way through that a lot of the kids moved out of the way for us, many stared at Kai, frighten and confused by his presence, but his eyes stayed on me, never minding everyone else.

Noah's house was huge, the walk from the front door to the outside area was long. The walls were white, with the giant luxury chandeliers hanging. The floors were white marble, and the counter tops matching the floors, with silver handles. The saying "Silver spoon" ran through my mind as I examined the house. A mansion with floor to ceiling windows, and the balcony at the second level of the house, that formed a giant circle. There was a DJ in the center of the area, that would have been a living room. There was no furniture out - just the open floor, that was flooded with kids from our school, and even some that wasn't. Even the upstairs was full of teenagers, handing over the upstairs balcony. This was, in fact the biggest party that I've ever been to in my life.

Aubree lead us to the backyard where a pool was. Kids partied outside too, and many of them used the giant pool for their own advantage, not caring that it was a bit cooler tonight as they swam, and drunk. Past the pool Aubree lead us further from the house, the music was starting to fade as we walked through the backyard that seemed endless. It was huge as well, I was almost about to ask her where she was taking us until the mini white house came into view. Lid up, but less crowded was the small guest house, which was still bigger compared to most peoples homes. It was branched off from the house where the party was, but music and voices of people flowed out of the guest house. I guess this was where the popular kids hung out at, at the parties. And, clearly you had to be invited back here, because on the inside it seemed to be only full of the basketball team, and cheerleading team. The popular of the most popular kids.

I looked up at Kai. darkness covered filled his eyes, and a look of unapproachable glued to his face. He didn't look like his usual self, in fact he looked as he would have, had he been at school.

"You okay?" I question quickly

"Yup." Was all he said, but dismissiveness fillied his vocals.

"We can go" I suggested, unsure about my decision about coming now.

"No, it's fine"

Before I could protest, Noah walks up to us. His eyes instantly lands on our hands intertwined with each other. It was a statement, and he knew what it meant without even needed to ask. From the corner of my eyes I could have sworn I seen Kai smirking at Noah.

"Hey Noah," I greet quickly "Thank you for inviting me to your party, I brought a plus one, I hope that's cool"

"Of course it is," I could see how hard it was for Noah to say the words, how hard it was to fake the smile that was planted on his face.

I could see the smirk on Kai's face clearly now, it was almost a taunting smirk to Noah. A smirk that screamed "Hahah I won". A smirk of victory for Kai.

"Well you guys made it just in time, we were just about to start a game of truth or dare" Noah says, gesturing for us to join.

Behind him, the basketball team all sat in a circle. Me and Kai joined in quickly, and Noah went to go sit next to Maddie who, different from everyone else smiled at us. I guess she was happy to see that I was taken, and no longer a threat to her. Clearly I was no longer somebody that she had to worry about, now that I clung to Kai.

"Serenity! so nice to see you, come sit next to me!" Maddie called out, patting the free room next to her. It was closer to Noah and the rest of the team, it was right in the middle of the mix of populars. No matter the thrill that she expressed, and the smiles that Aubree whites threw, it was still very clear that Kai didn't belong in this picture with everyone else. Everyone tried their best to ignore the elephant in the room which was Kai, but of course nobody said a word about it. Too cowardly I assume.

"Now that everyone is here we can start!" Maddie announced.

I curl close to Kai, our hand still together as the group begins the game. Maddie explained the rules, which seemed silly, since everyone pretty much knew how truth or dare went, nevertheless she explained and we listened. As the game began to start, I could feel my nerves taking over. Oddly, I felt like something bad was going to happen, just by the glares that some of the basketball players seemed to be throwing in Kai's direction. I also noticed some even whispered amongst themselves, and Then, I remembered how a couple of weeks ago Kai did throw one of the players into the locker at school. I think his name was Devin. And Devin out of everyone seemed to be glaring the most at Kai. Devin's eyes were deadly, but not as deadly's as Kai's. Kai's eyes held a certain darkness, and fright that just overtook Devin's glare. I was so into feeling the room out, that the sound of my name being called brought me back to reality.

"Serenity," Kylie called, the same mean girl from the cave. Unlike her friend Maddie, she looked at me with disaproving eyes, eyes of envy and hate. "Truth or dare" She questioned, her voice indifferent

"Dare" I say.

She smirked, pleased with my response.

"I dare you to kiss Devin " She says, her eyes falling on Kai's and then back to Devin, who was now watching me with challenging eyes, he smirked at me, and then turned back to Kai to glare. The glare was a challenging one. Was he challenging Kai?

"Pass." I say.

"No passes, you have to do the dare, that was the rule of the game - no passes" Kylie declares, annoyance laced in her voice with my response.

Did she really think I cared about some rules in a truth or dare game? I wasn't going to kiss another guy. Not when my lips belonged to Kai. His lips were the only lips that I craved, and wanted.

"Oh come on Serenity, it's just one little kiss." Devin says, flirtation in his words as he sends me a playful wink.

"She said pass." Kai counters, his voice deep and full of authority.

"Look who's defending his girl, what? you jealous Kai? Jealous that she will finally get to see whats its like to kiss a real man, and not some punk like-"

It happened too fast, the words flying out of Devin's mouth, and Kai's fist flying in response to those words, at the same time. In a blink of an eye Kai was on top of Devin, pounding his face in viciously, and repeatedly - not stopping. The Basketball team quickly came to Devins defense, some even trying to come after Kai, but he was quicker than them. He landed blows to the ones that tried to fight him too.

It took the whole basketball team, and even some football players to get Kai off of Devin. With a lot of force they pushed him out of the guest house, and I followed behind them quickly.

"Thank's for the party" Kai snared at Noah before turning around to me. A few scratches covered his face and blood covered his knuckles as he led me from the backyard, to the outside.

I looked back quickly, the hurt in Noah's eyes caught my sight, and then he was gone.
