CHAPTER 4 : ANOTHER ANGEL
Third Person's Point Of View
I was looking around for Hana. The last time I saw her was when she talked to her grandmother for the first time. I knew how delicate and overwhelming this moment would be, that I excused myself to give her the privacy she needed. I too needed to discuss a new show to Producer Lee.
I was on the verge of speaking to another acquaintance of mine when I took a glance at her, noticing her disappearance.
I was in the middle of approaching her father when thunderous clap filled the hall. A path was made apart and a pretty much elegant couple was getting ready to dance.
This is getting interesting.
I saw a beautiful woman with a sensual bun on her head and her shimmering gold dress tailing her movement. Her silhouette mirrored a curvy body, just like Hana.
Wait, it is she.
Then, I saw him...
Jeon Jungkook.
My whole-self cringed when I saw Hana in his arms. At first I thought that they were just dancing to the routine, but then I saw Hana's expression. I could sense such tension in their grips. Their hooks were sharp and aggressive. It was like Hana was trying to push Jungkook away in every chance that she can.
I clenched my fist.
My protective sense was ignited.
All the memories of Hana's breakdowns shadowed my thought.
Then, I saw Hana's grandmother.
It was like she was admiring them. Her expressions softened me. If not for the out of respect for her, I would hurl myself between them.
At the last stance of their dance, Hana's hand was released by Jungkook while the other hand went free. Instinctively, my body lurched forward automatically.
"I'll take it from here," I claimed Hana's other hand.
Jungkook's eyes shot daggers piercing at me. I was not backing up, staring back. Challenging him equally with both of us equally holding Hana's left and right hand.
I tugged at Hana's hand and started to warn him of the possible consequences if he won't back out but, Hana cut me to it. "Jungkook please, don't make a scene here. Just let me go."
Jungkook was not looking at her, but me. I tugged Hana's hand the second time but it won't budge.
"You hurt her just enough, Jungkook. Let her go."
Hana's head bowed down. Jungkook's jaw went slack. My words obviously affected him. He loosened his grips on Hana's hand and I took advantage of it and tugged, making Hana fell straight into my arms.
Music of soft rhythm blazed in and that's the sign for me to cover up the incident between us. I twirled Hana's body. I can sense her body was moving along with me but she was looking down gripping my shirt. There were more and more couples starting to dance around us.
I took a glimpse at Jungkook. He was there, among other dancers and there he still with a blank expression like he was spacing out.
Then, Hana hugged me...
"Please take me out of here." Her voice trembled as she registered the words.
"Please, Jimin. Jebal..."
