When I return home, Felix sets me down and quickly puts brown contacts to cover his eyes "I don't like it" Felix raises his eyebrow "I like your red eyes, I don't like them covered"

"Soon" he says pushing a strand of my hair behind my ear "your eyes will be the same" the door opens and we see Charlie with his arms crossed, a furious expression on his face.

"Do you" Charlie demands "have any idea what you did?"

Shrugging my shoulders "I told you I was going out of town"

"No!" He yells "I didn't!"

"Who's this?" Charlie demands

"This is Felix" introducing the two "he has been helping me with Johnny's passing. We met in a coffee shop a few months back in Florida. Felix this is my birth dad Charlie"

"Hello" Charlie nods his head, the two shake hands "I'm Charlie, if you will excuse us I have to yell at my daughter"

Felix nods his head "I'll meet you tomorrow" nodding my head, Felix leaves as I go inside to where Charlie stares at me in anger with his arms crossed.

"I told you a few weeks ago that I was going to California" I say "to visit a college. You know I'm taking a gap year before doing anything"

"So you didn't go to Italy?" He demands, I shake my head no.

"See" showing him the photos that I photoshopped of me in California, at the beach and going through the campus "Why? What made you think I was in Italy? How are the kittens?"

"Your kittens are upstairs sleeping" Charlie rubs his brows "Bella left a note saying you and her were going to Italy...who was that Felix? You never said anything about him before"

"I went to this support group in Jacksonville" I'm going to fib, yes I went to see this support group for those who lost someone per a suggestion from my therapist "I met Felix there, he's been helping me with what happened" I mean it's true, in the few hours I've spoken with Felix he has helped me more than anyone else.

Charlie sighs rubbing his brows "How is it your able to do healthy things while Bella can't?" Shrugging my shoulders "I bought some fried chicken, I don't like it. Bella is fast asleep so...do you want it? It's from that place you always go to"

"KFC?" I ask

He nods his head "I don't know why you like the place"

"Maybe if they had steak you'd like it more" he chuckles nodding his head in agreement "I'll hear up the chicken then eat it, Bella hates KFC" after a few minutes I take the extra crispy bucket of chicken along with tenders, grab the Japanese dipping sauce called Yum Yum, a few biscuits and mashed potatoes—put them on a tray and head up to my room where the kittens are all sleeping on my bed. I need to get them kitty beds. Felix I see is standing by the window.

"Hi" waving my hand as I bring the chicken in "I'd offer you some food but I know you don't really eat human food"

"After becoming a vampire" he says as I sit down, eating the chicken with Yum Yum sauce "human food will taste...bland and make you feel sick since it'll taste disgusting" tearing off some pieces, I feed it to my kittens who greedily accept "their adorable"

"Thanks" waving around "you can sit anywhere"

"Even on your bed?" I nod my head, he sits down next to me and helps me feed the kittens "what are their names?"

"This is Cream Puff, Cookie, Cinnamon, Roxy and Sugar" eating some biscuits "I found them in a box in the woods shivering, I adopted them...what's going to happen to them when I'm turned" the thought of leaving them makes me feel sad.

Felix stares at me "Are they trained?"

"I'm in the process of training them" nodding my head, Rosalie texted me telling me that the kittens need a few more days but they'll be fully potty trained "why?"

"I'm sure the masters won't mind some cats in the castle" he says "as long as their owner makes sure their trained and doesn't ruin the furniture"

Smiling to him "Really?"

He nods his head "I could ask, but I don't want to get your hopes up" nodding my head, if it's a no then I'll ask Leah. I still need to talk to Leah and Xavier about this world—hopefully they'll understand what I did "you know your sweet"

"Take that back" I say offended

He chuckles "It's true, your sweet but also a psycho"

"Thank you" blushing as we are silent, the kittens keep eating. Their like bottomless pits. When their done, they purr loudly curling up next to one another "their so adorable, like my own babies"

"Their lucky to have found you" Felix says, pressing my lips together smiling at the compliment. Looking up at the wall he frowns.

"What?" I ask

"Does Edward Cullen normally" he asks "spend nights here?"

Shrugging my shoulders "Before and now...probably. Why? Is he here?" I found out that Edward stayed the nights when one night I woke up to pee and heard Bella and Edward talking all night. Felix nods his head, we soon hear Bella start to scream and then stops. "If I was anyone else" looking down at me "I'd probably have trouble sleeping through Bella's screaming"

"Yes" he smiles "I too enjoy hearing people scream in agony from time to time" looking over, I see his gaze to my small library.

"I love books" I say, he looks down at me.

"I'm not judging" he says "I too admire books, I have my own library in my room" he just got ten times hotter "why thank you"

Blushing "I said that out loud?" He nods his head "oh"

We are silent and I hear Charlie talking to Bella "The last time you said that, you took off and I didn't see you for three days"

"I'm really sorry dad" Bella gives a fake apology, I roll my eyes at that. Felix notices.

"I'll tell you later" mouthing to him

"Bella" Charlie sternly said "don't you ever do that to me again...ever. Also your grounded for the rest of your life"

"What about Hela? Isn't she being punished?" I growl at that, Felix smirks before stroking my hair.

"Easy" he whispers to me "I doubt you'll get in the same amount of trouble"

"Hela was in California" he tells her "and Hela has a better excuse for this year than you. At least Hela is getting help" we hear the door slam.

My eyes widen realizing why Charlie isn't going downstairs "Hide" I whisper to him, he lets out a small laugh hiding when the door opens and I see Charlie in the doorway "hi"

Charlie stares at me "Felix, if you want to bring him by the house he is more than welcome" nodding my head, Charlie stares at me "don't ever make me worry the way I did before...ever" giving him a thumbs up he leaves closing the door, not slamming it like he did with Bella.
