Chapter 27: The Beginning
She slowly walked inside her house, nervous and in thoughts but the sight of Sameer and Kavita distracted her. She watched them leaning against the sofa's, fast asleep and exhaled, realising that they had been waiting for her.
She wasn't sure if she should wake them up or let them sleep, still not ready to answer questions she decided to let them be and walked towards the stairs.
After a while, she had changed into her comfort clothes and made her way towards Kavita and Sameer with blankets in her hand. First, she stopped in front of Sameer and covered him with a blanket and after making him comfortable, she moved to Kavita, covering her with the blanket. She exhaled and headed back towards the stairs while thinking.
"Will I be able to find my mother?" She asked herself and continued walking up the stairs. "How should I bring it up. . . Will they even believe me?"
As she headed up, lost in her thoughts, she tripped and fell forward, falling on the floor and hissed.
"Ahh." She sat up and stared at her hand in pain and grit her teeth. "Urgh. Why is everything so frustrating!" She sighed to herself quietly, annoyed and angry with everything that was happening to her.
She stood up and stormed towards her room, exhaling as soon as she entered. She stared at her hand again, finishing a small cut and watching the blood around it. Her eyes creased and anger vanished.
"DNA test. . ." She trailed off and lifted her eyes from her hand, staring in space.

Sanskaar was sat on a bench in a park, blowing on her hands while tiredly staring in space.
"Should I go to Swara's tomorrow?" He asked himself and continued blowing his hands. "We could do a DNA test to find her biological parents, that would be easier." He added and shook his head, "I'll tell her this tomorrow."
He exhaled and lifted his head up, staring at the moon. "Why am I doing so much for her?" He wondered and rested his back on the bench, "why do I feel like she has become someone precious to me? Why can't I just lie and tell my father that Swara had forgiven me and tell her to lie? Why do I actually want her apology and return back to the house rightfully?" He exhaled as he shivered, feeling really cold. He closed his eyes, recollecting his memories with Swara and placed his hand over his chest, feeling different.
His phone buzzed and he opened his eye, sliding his phone out of his pocket. His eyes fell on his screen and he instantly sat up, surprised as he unlocked his phone, tapping on the message. WhatsApp opened and he finds himself in a group with three familiar contacts and two unknown numbers.
'I need help.' He read out from unknown number and creased his forehead.
'What help Swara?' Sheesh's message caught Sanskaar's eyes and he gasped. "Ohh, so this is Swara's number."
'I'll tell you tomorrow, but are you guys willing to help?'
'Sure 😊' Sahil replied with an emoji.
'Of course, as long as you forgive us after that.' Sheesh messaged and Sanskaar instantly typed.
'Yes.' He sent off his message with a small smile, now pressing on her number to save it.
'Sanskaar, where are you?' He received a private message from the group chat which had him, Sheesh and Sahil in.
After saving Swara's number he tapped on the chat. 'I'm home.' He lied and Sahil messaged a laughing emoji.
'We had a call from Sujata Aunty, she told us that you were kicked out of the house. If you're not with Swara then where are you?' Sheesh messaged and Sanskaar exhaled after reading it, closing his eyes feeling embarrassed.
'Come over mine, or Sheesh's. Cause we know you have no where to go.' He opened his eyes after feeling his phone buzzed and stared down at it, thinking about it.

Tapping on his laptop while examining the report on his desk, he adjusted his glasses with his other hand and continued. A sound caught his attention and he stopped typing, moving the mouse towards another tab and staring at his recent mail.
He opened it and started reading it, "Hi Doctor Rathore. . ." He trailed off and continued reading, his eyes creased and he placed his hand over his chin.
He closed his file and picked the phone up instantly, dialling a number. "Hello, can you come into my cabin please. . ." He trailed off and then put the phone down, staring at the email shockingly.

As the sun rose, Swara had walked out of her room, awake earlier than usual. It seemed like she hadn't gotten any rest.
"Swara." She stopped and faced Kavita, who was heading towards her. "When did you come back?" She asked and stopped in front of her, "are you okay? And what's that message about in the group? What help? What are you planning on doing now?" Kavita worriedly bombarded Swara with questions.
"I'm fine Kavita." She replied and flapped her eyes at her, "I want to find my real parents and I need. . . Your help."
"You do?" Kavita surprisingly asked and Swara shakes her head positively. "Sure, I'll help. What do I need to do?"
"What do we need to do?" Kavita turned and Swara turned her head to the side, watching Sameer walk towards them. "But, you better not forget me after finding your real family Swara. . ." He trailed off, sounding slightly upset and she curled a small smile over her lips.
"I won't. . . You'll always stay my annoying elder half-brother Sameer." She replied and he smiled at her, "Good. Cause I won't stop annoying you for life."
"And you better not forget me too." Kavita uttered and Swara smiled. "Guys, I just want to find them. I'm still not sure if I want to enter their lives. . . Maybe I just want to watch them from far. . ."
"From far, why?" Kavita asked and Swara shrugged with a small smile. "I don't know. I don't want them to feel guilty towards me. . ."
"Why would they feel guilty?" Sameer asked and Swara held her smile across her lips, "they believed that I was dead. Now coming back into their lives would be awkward. They might feel uncomfortable after finding out I'm alive."
"So you'll stay with us forever?" Kavita asked and Swara shook her head positively.
Sameer scoffed, "you could've said you didn't want to leave me. Why make it so emotional?"
Swara stared at him and Kavita rolled her eyes, "what do we need to do Swara?"
"I'll tell all of you together. I'm waiting for Sahil, Sheesh and. . . Sanskaar."
"Urgh, why them?" Kavita asked while rolling her eyes in annoyance. "Us three won't be able to do it alone. It'll take too much time."
Kavita made a face, "what time would they come?"
"They should be here in few hours." She replied and started heading towards the stairs.
Kavita and Sameer followed her down and she lowered her gaze to the list in her hand, staring at it.

Sanskaar opened his eyes, yawning straight after. He watched Sahil brushing his hair and sat up instantly.
"Where are you going?"
"We have to meet Swara, she sent a message." Sahil replied and Sanskaar creased his forehead, picking his phone up, reading the message.
"Oh. . ." He trailed off and instantly stood up.
"I wonder why she called us."
"She wants to find her real parents." Sanskaar revealed and Sahil stopped brushing his hair, facing him shockingly. "What?"
Sanskaar nodded his head positively, "and how are we supposed to help with this?"
Sanskaar shrugged, "I think it'll be easier if she just does a DNA test. Maybe she made other plans."
"How are going to pull this off?" Sahil asked and Sanskaar shook his head, "I don't know, I guess we will find out after we go there."
Sahil put the brush down and sighed, "get changed." He uttered and Sanskaar looked at him, "hmmm?"
"You've been in those clothes for days now, just get changed already. You'd seem like a homeless guy."
"Ah, okay." He replied and closed his mouth. Sahil walked out of the room and Sanskaar got off the bed, heading towards Sahil's wardrobe.
As Sahil walked down, he stared at his mother who was making breakfast. "Come and eat before you go. Is Sanskaar awake? Tell him to come and join us too, I made his favourite, Aloo Paratha's."
"His favourite? You never make my favourite." Sahil jealously uttered and made a face while his mother stared at him. "Shut up, I always make your favourite dishes, besides Sanskaar came home after so long. So it's fair." She uttered and continued sorting the plates out, but stopped. "Hang on a second."
She faces Sahil again, "you're off for two days, it's a break isn't it? Then where are you headed to?"
"Uh. . . To meet friends. We are going to do something."
"Like what?"
"Help each other."
"Exams are over and graduation is close, so help with what?"
"Mumma please stop asking too much questions, we're just going to have fun. Happy?"
She makes a face, "whatever, you go! I'm also going to meet my friends."
"Who, Janki Aunty?" She nodded her head at him, "and my other kitty party friends." She added, "also, Janki's daughter Ragini is back from USA, she finished her study and is now looking to continue here. Meet her when you have time, and be nice to her."
"What? She's back, seriously?"
"Yes. I'm going there to see her now."
Sahil made a face, "tell me if she's still a bitch."
"Sahil, be respectful!"
He shrugged at her, "it won't change her nature."
Sanskaar walked down the stairs, "who?" He interrupted, wanting to know.
"Ragini, remember when we were younger she once came around and then hit you with a baseball bat because you annoyed her?"
"Her?" Sanskaar asked and made a face, "what about her?"
"She's back, as if I care. She wasn't even my friend. They were forcing me to be her friend, now I'm glad I didn't continue my friendship with her."
"Guys, don't be mean."
"Aunty, she isn't even nice. I wonder how she is now."
"Mom is going to meet her today."
"Really? Then let us know if she's nicer."
Sahil's mother stared at the two in disbelief, "come and eat." She uttered after shaking her head and they walked towards the table.

He walked down the stairs, staring at his wife who was ordering the servants to lay out breakfast on the table. He recalled the email and slowly headed down, staring at his wife.
"Good morning Pops." He turned his head to the side, watching his daughter Ragini side hug him with a smile and he curved a smile, "good morning beta." He replied and hugged her back.
She broke the hug and looked up at him, "you look tired. Did you not get any sleep?"
He scoffed, "I never do. This job is tiring."
"Then take a rest pop, you overwork yourself."
"I wish I could, but you know the hospital wouldn't run without me."
"Of course, since you're co managing the hospital, so Mr managing director, are we getting a holiday soon?"
"Not until next month, I'm loaded with too much this time."
Ragini made a face as a joke, "understandable."
"If father and daughter reunion is fine then can you come down and eat?" His wife uttered while smiling at them, and they passed her a smile.
"Mom, you're getting jealous?"
"Why would she? She has me." Ayush walked besides his mother and gave her a hug.
Ragini made a face and walked down with her father following her. She hugged Ayush back and he stared at her.
'Janki, there is something that I need to tell you, but I need to confirm it before letting you know.' He spoke to himself, continuing to blink at his wife, Janki with seriousness.
