Chapter 9- Let the war begins!!

"Sanskar, I don't think mom is happy with my doing job", Ragini utters as she looks at the moving road from side mirror while sitting on passenger seats. "No, She will understand. Don't worry", Sanskar says as he drove the car. Ragini looks at him with tensed expression, "But...", She was cut off by him. "No but and ifs, Mrs. Maheshwari. You'll do whatever you want, no need to think or worry about anyone or anything until I am with you", He said focusing on road. She smiled at him, "And, till how long you'll be with me?", She couldn't help but, ask as the fear to be left alone was still there in her heart. He tiltled his to her and look deep into her eyes, "Till my last breath", He utters and she couldn't blink as her heart skip a bit at the depth of his eyes and the honesty behind those depths. A huge smile crawled her lips as she breaks the eyelock and look front, "I am noticing , you are delivering good dialogues from yesterday. From where you are getting these?", She asked bitting her cheeks to hide the crimson stain on her cheeks. "Well, the writer inside me is developing you see", he says shrugging his shoulder with a smile. She shook her head, "Here comes you bakery", he utters stopping the car infront of the shop. "Thank you", She utters removing her seat belt and opening the door. "Won't you call me inside?", He asked as she closed the door and bend infront of the window, "No! You are getting late for office. Have a good day. Bye", She utters waving her hand while he rolls his eyes, "I'll pick you up in the evening", He shouted when she turned and glared at him cutely at the pitch of his voice and waved him to go. He chuckled shaking his head waving back at her and droves off.

"Good Morning", She greeted the owner. Sakshi smiled at her looking at her glowing face, "Good Morning", She greeted back. "Sorry, I am late", Ragini utters as she kept her purse and wears apron and starts working, "It's okay beta, atleast you are here to help me", Sakshi utters smiling while the smile on ragini face faded as she looks at her and then she was lost in her thoughts, "Ragini?", Sakshi called her making her come out from her thoughts, "You okay?", She asked and Ragini nodded fake smiling as she continues her work lost in her own world.

Sanskar stopped his car infront of Maheshwari Enterprises, he was about to turn off the ignition when something strikes him and he immediately took out his mobile and dials 'Adarsh' number. "Hello? Bhaiyaa", he utters as he accelerated the car keeping his one hand on steering and from other holding mobile near his ears. "Actually, I have some work. Can you please look after for sometime? I'll be late", He utters as he reversed the car and starts driving. "Yes! Everything is okay. Actually, there's something I need to buy for Ragini. Yes! Thank you Bhaiyaa", he smiled cutting the call and sighs as he kept the mobile back and turn on the Radio. On the other side, in bakery sakshi also turned on the radio on speaker.

Sanskar who was driving while looking forward looks at the radio while listening to the radio and unknowingly he recalls the first meeting with Ragini. Ragini on the other hand remembers same.

Ragini bandaid his hands and makes him eat food with her hands. He tied his wrist with her stole. Ragini sings lullaby for him and makes him sleep.

"Will you help me in this?", Sanskar asked as she stands infront of tree holding thread, he moves around with her as she tied the thread around tree. "My own family didn't considered my happiness sanskar", he forwarded his hand and she holds it coming down as they sits there only. He wipes her tears with his hand.

"Ragini! Whatever you are doing is wrong. Stop doing all this. We are wrong", he utters holding her from shoulder , she looks into his eyes and felt lonely, "you left me too na sanskar. You left me too", she utters as she pushed him. "I won't back out whether you are with me or not", she utters pointing her finger at him and walks away while he looks at her retreating figure.

"Sanskar.... Sanskar.... tried to...", She cries pointing at him while he looks on shocked.

He interwined his hands with her as they both looks into each other eyes fiercely. He drags her outside the mansion when she slips and was about to fall, when he hold her from one hand and pulls her upwards holding her from her shoulders as both stared at each other .

Tujhse taalluk jo nahi kuch mera
Kyun tu lage hai apana saa

"We lost sanskar", she cries keeping her head on his shoulder.

"If you'll become weak then how'll we help swara. Please, Sanskar. I promise we both will do something together and we'll together prove her innocence", she utters keeping her hand on his shoulder.

The drastic day when they lost themselves but, found solace in each other.

They cried in each other embrace after being devastated. "we have to live ... For ourselves..for those who loves us"

Zindagi me khushi tere aane se hai
Warna jeene mein gham, har bahane se hai
Hai yeh alag baat hai hum mile aaj hain

you'll go like this?", She asked making him confused,"yes", he said looking at himself. Ragini smiled biting her cheeks and shakes her head walking towards him, "Mr. Kiddo, you wore this tie wrong" , says ragini suppressing her laughter while he touched his tie which he wore from different side. He was about to remove it when ragini holds it," I'll do that for you since you come all the way here for cheering me up", she said removing the tie while sanskar looks on.

They smiled remembering the moment. Sanskar shook his head turning the car while Ragini attends the customers.

Ragini stopped working as her gaze fell on boy and girl when the boy holds the girl hand affectionately. She couldn't remember but, help him.

Ragini", she turned and look at him while he keeps his both hands inside his jeans and looks at her, "You can hide your emotions as much as you want infront of them but, after going back to your room don't forget that you have someone who can be as vulnerable as you and will be your support in every state of yours. Don't forget to give me a call", he stated while the fake smile on her lips were replaced by the geninue one, her eyes turned teary as she nodded her head smiling pressing her lips tight in a thin line while sanskar also smiled at her. He waved his hand and she does the same and turned her back on him.

Sanskar stopped his car at the signal and saw a small girl making a small boy food with her hands on road side. His mind travelled back to her memory.

Ragini, didn't I told you I am your best friend?", He asked as he looks at her intently while she nodded as she knows where this talk will go. "Then, don't you think I won't know by looking at your eyes that there's something disturbing you and there's something you want to tell your best friend?", He asked looking at her while her eyes welled up hearing him and she felt a lump formed in her throat as she lowered her head. "Ragini?", She heard his calm voice as tears started flowing from her eyes and she tightly shut her eyes fisting her hands. He holds her fist and makes her look at him, she opens her teary eyes and looks at him,"What it is?", He asked as he felt a pinged in his heart seeing her tears. She sniffed her nose as she tightly holds his hand and burst into a bitter cry keeping her head on his chest pouring her emotions out.

He coughs while she hurriedly Pat's his back and makes him drink the water by her hands worriedly while he looks at her. "You okay?", She asked concerned while sanskar looks at her for a moment feeling overwhelmed and nodded his head. She sighs shaking her head, "Eat slowly", she told while he nodded smiling.

Sanskar jerked as he heard horn sounds. He looked at the green signal and hurriedly started the car.

Ragini hands unknowingly touched the thread around her neck as she looks on remembering.

"Your Laado is my Wife. I know that day and time we weren't ready to accept but, its the truth. I know it was Unwanted but, it's our Destiny. I know you hate everyone here because of the pain she went through but, trust me I understand. I promise I'll be there as a friend, as a husband as her supporter. She don't need a life partner which you are finding for her, she need a friend, a shoulder, a person who understands and be with her and I promise I'll be that person", he utters while Parvati glanced at her as he holds her hand while Ragini looks on teary eyed with a small smile adoring her lips as she stared at him with admiration.

She smiled unknowingly remembering his words.

"Till you and me are together we will be able to do it... Together", he utters as making her head turn and looks at him as they stared into each other eye's.

She blinks and wipes her tears before they can fall, "you are right, sanskar. Till you and me are together", she utters as she smiled with all her heart. "Thank you for being with me", she mumbles as she begins her working.

"Thank you for trusting me, Ragini", he utters as he stopped the car infront of jewellery shop. He turns off the radio as the songs end and comes out of his car. He sighs as he rubbed his both hand together and walks inside the shop. The salesman greets him and he smiled at him sitting on a chair, "What would you like to see, Sir?", The salesman asked as his eyes moved around the shop. "Can you show me mangalsutra?", He asked while the salesman's smiled and nodded bringing few sets of Mangalsutra. He looked at everyone cloesly, "They are heavy, I want something light and elegant", he utters while the salesman nodded bringing some simple Serene diamond mangalsutra. Sanskar eyes automatically caught one with black beads with silver engraved elegant design in a shape of swan. "Perfect!", His eyes gleems with an unknown happiness which he himself didn't acknowledge. "Pack this one", He said and the salesman nodded, "Do you want it gift wrap?", The salesman asked and Sanskar nodded. "Would you like to gift some ring to your wife, Sir?", The salesman asked and Sanskar looks on. He thinks for a moment and then nodded. The salesman then brings a set of rings while he went to pack the mangalsutra. Sanskar eyes roamed around the rings until his eyes was glued into one simple diamond ring with stone in it. "Can you please give this one too", He asked as the salesman comes with the gift box. "Gift wrap, sir?", He asked when Sanskar shook his head in a No. The salesman nodded and goes while Sanskar picks up the blue gift box. He smiled at the rectangular shape box and looked at the small card attached on it. He picked up the pen from table and wrote, "To, My F....", He stopped his hand and thinks for the moment cutting "F" for friend and wrote, "Wife"instead. He smiled closing the cap and keeping the pen back on table. "Thank you", he said as he took the ring box and does it billing. He kept the bag on backseat and droves off.

At MM:

Sujata was sitting on her room holding cushion when swara knocked on her room door, She looks up and swara enters with cup of tea in her hand," Here is your tea, Chachi ji", she says forwarding the cup with a smile. Sujata looks at her and turned her face while swara smiled as she kept the tea on side table and looks at her, "I know Chachi ji you are upset because of Ragini but, don't worry I'll talk to her when she'll come", Swara utters sitting infront of her. "As if she'll listen to you", Sujata says rolling her eyes while swara smiles turns wider, "Of course, when I'll tell her about you being upset then she'll surely listen to me Chachi ji. I understand that you wanted to spend time with Ragini like Mother and Daughter, I know she didn't respected it but, I am sure she'll understand when I'll make her understand", Swara says as sujata turns her face and looks at her and swara bends picking up the cup and giving it to sujata who takes it. "I don't understand, what happened to Ragini when she knows clearly about this house rules after all she was their DIL earlier too", Swara says in a sad tone shaking her head. "Can you stop her from going to job?", Sujata asked as she drinks the tea and Swara smirked in her mind and nodded, "Of course, For you I can do it", Swara utters. "How?", Sujata ask. "For that, I'll need your help", Swara utters as she looked at Sujata kneely who thinks for a moment and nodded. Swara smiled brightly and hugged sujata, "Thank you, Chachi ji. Now, no one will talk bad about this house DIL doing job", She utters as she stands, "You enjoy your tea", She says as she goes while sujata looks on.

At Maheshwari Enterprises, Sanskar was sitting in his office cabin staring at the bag infront of him. He picked up the bag and took out the red square shaped velvet box. He opened it and the ring shone inside it, "Why did I buy it?", He muttered as he closed it and moves it in his hand. "What will ragini think if I give this to her?", He muttered and shook his head, "I am her husband, right? I have right to give her ring", he utters as he again opened the box and took out the ring, "Damn, I didn't even know her size and buy this. You are an idiot, Sanskar", He utters to himself as he moves his finger around the ring and closed his eyes imagining ragini hands sliding it into her finger's. A smiled appears on his lips as he opened his eyes, "Perfect!", He utters as he kept the ring back and closed the box keeping it inside his pocket. He looked at the clock, "Since, there's no work left. I should leave and pick ragini too", he utters as he took the bag and leaves.

At Bakery, Ragini has already completed her work and now is helping sakshi to clean up the tables when she looks at the clock and then at Sakshi, "Mam?", She stopped Sakshi and walks towards her. "There's something I need to talk about", She utters as she plays with her finger's nervously. Sakshi nodded with a warm smile on her face, "Wo...mam...actually",  She hesitated as she lowers her gaze while sakshi kept her hand on her shoulder, "Say beta", she utters. "Actually, I won't to quit this job", Ragini says squeezing her eyes and fisting her hands. Sakshi looks at her as she opened her eyes and looks at her guilty, "I am sorry.... Actually, I want to give time to my home and.....", She was cut off by Sakshi, "It's okay, I understand beta. No need to worry, I never binded you here but, I was happy for your help and it's completely okay if you don't want to continue your job. My blessings are always with you", She says patting her cheeks when Ragini instantly hugged her, "Thank you Soo much for understanding", She utters when her phone starts ringing, she breaks the hug and picks up the call.

At Maheshwari Mansion, Swara was sitting on hall holding Magzine continuously eyeing the entrance, her eyes beemed when she saw Laksh. She instantly gets up and greets him and other's. "Why do you seem so happy?", Laksh whisper's in her ears as she took his briefcase. "You'll know soon", she whispers winking back at him. Annupurna, Parineeta and Sujata also come and gives water to their respective spouses. Just then RagSan come and decends the stairs greeting everyone. "How was your day, Ragini beta?", Durga Prasad asked and Ragini smiled, "It was good, Papa ji", She says as she took their blessings and now moves towards sujata who moved back her feet before she could touch. Everyone looks on, "Sanskar choray, Come give me your briefcase. I'll keep it in your room. Uttara give water to your brother", Sujata says as she took his briefcase and walks forward while Ragini turns and looks at Sanskar who looks at her too. Swara smirked looking at Sujata ignoring Ragini and nudge Laksh who also smiled. "Mom!", Sanskar tried to stop her when she showed him her palm stopping him and turned her face. "Mom!", Ragini walks towards her when she looks other side keeping her chin high. "Sujata!", Rp says looking at her behavior. "Ki hai", Sujata asked. "Why are you ignoring, Ragini?", He asked. "That's between me and her. She knows why I am doing this", Sujata says as she looks at Ragini, who looks at her and immediately runs from there. "Ragini", Sanskar shouts and was about to go after her when swara blocked his way, "Let me talk to my sister, Jeth ji", She utters giving a fake concerned look. Sanskar glared at her and was about to move when Ragini hurriedly deccends the stairs and stopped infront of him panting for breath.

Everyone looked at her as she forwarded the bag in her hand, Everyone looks on confused while Ragini stands straight and smiled walking towards sujata and swings the bag infront of her, "Here it is" , She utters as sujata looked at her and then at the bag snatching it, "Sacchiii Ragini", Sujata asked beaming with happiness making everyone bewildered at her behavior. Ragini nodded and Sujata immediately hugged her making Swara and Laksh eyes widen while everyone else looks on. "Maare ko laga tu bhul gai", Sujata utters as she opened the bag and took out some cookies and pastries from it. "How can I forget when you yourself called and asked for me to bring it?", Ragini utters smiling. Sujata devoured the first bite of Cookie's and her eyes gleems with happiness, "Dekh Chori, I'll let you work only if you bring these home daily", Sujata utters sending smile to everyone faces accept the two who stood shock and rooted. "I'll bring these daily, Promise. Thank you Mom", Ragini side hugged Sujata happily who Pat's her cheek in return. Sanskar shook his head as he walks towards them, "Such a drama queen you are ,Mom", he utters while sujata smacked his head, "I haven't keep you 9 months in my stomach to heard this dialogue", She utters making everyone laughs while Sanskar pouts while Swara and Laksh fumes. "Will you eat all this by yourself or will give us too?", Rp asked. "Everyone will have it except", She turned and look at Swara and says, "Sanskar.... Since he called me Drama queen", Sujata says while Sanskar mouths open slightly, "That's not fair", he whines while Ragini laughs at him. Everyone smiled seeing them as Swara went towards kitchen fuming.

Swara kept her hand on slab angrily while her nose flared with anger, "When I clearly told Chachi ji to ignore her then, why did she do all this? Weren't she upset because of her", She mumbled to herself when sujata walks in kitchen, "Do you want to eat cookies too, Chori?", Sujata asked making swara turn to look at her. Sujata forwarded the cookie she was holding towards her, "Don't worry , you won't die eating the cookie brought by your sister", Sujata says while Swara turns her face to other side and Sujata smile, "Actually, after drinking your handmade tea my throat felt bitter So, I thought why not ask my Ragini bahu to bring something sweet from her work shop. After all, it's her own hardwork", Sujata says and bites into the cookie herself, "I think making Ragini work is a good idea. I can say proudly that my Daughter-in-law works to help a old lady and also I can eat these daily", Sujata utters when swara turns folding her hand, "Really? What about other people when they'll know about Maheshwari's daughter-in-law working?", Swara asked as she tried to keep her anger in check. "Didn't you heard what my son told yesterday? That, we are family and the outsider's remain outsider's", Sujata says as she took a step forward, "Like you", She says and swara fumes pointing her finger at her, "Chachi Ji, Don't make me disrespect you", Swara says gritting her teeth.

"Swaaaraa", She turned and looks at Ragini who just enters. Ragini walks forward and stands besides sujata glaring swara, "Don't talk with Mom in that tone", Ragini utters while sujata smiled at her. "My tone is correct only. Ask her, what rubbish she is saying", Swara says turning her face folding her arms. "For me , there is only one person who talks rubbish and that's you", Ragini utters as she holds sujata shoulder. Swara turned and points her finger at her, "Ragini! Watch your words", Swara utters glaring back at her. "I don't need too since, I am saying right only", Ragini says calmly as she looks at sujata, "Mom, you go", She says and Sujata nodded and goes after twisting her lips at Swara. Ragini walks forward and stood face to face to swara, "Don't try to play behind my back, Swara. Because, if I started my game then you'll be left helpless behind", Ragini utters folding her arms. "Are you threatening me?", Swara asked glaring her while Ragini smiled shaking her head, "That's not my style. Hum Jo kehte Hain , Wo kartay bhi hai. Hamein Jo chaihye Wo hum Paa Kar rehte Hain, Swara", Ragini utters and swara smirked, "But, Laksh is with me , Ragini. Incase, You forget", Swara utters with a smirk. Ragini smiles widen as she looks at Swara, " Who told you I want Laksh? Yes, Earlier it was for Laksh but, this time it's for My Family and If, you try to take them away from me then....", Ragini shook her head and shrugging her shoulders. Swara smirks fade as she looks at her, "I don't want any war between us, Swara. So, let it be this way only", Ragini says as she turned to go, "The war has already started , Ragini", Swara utters. Ragini didn't turned, "So, Let the war begins then", Ragini utters walking away while Swara angrily hits her hand on the slab tightly holding it with red-hatred filled eyes.

Ragini comes inside room and kept her purse on bed, she was about to walk towards cupboard when her eyes fell on a blue wrapped rectangular box on dresses. She walked towards it and opened the card in which, "To: My Wife", was written. She felt her heartbeat rise at the word 'My Wife' and looks on with a smile. She kept the card on dresses and unwrapped the box. She felt someone gaze on her, she looks up towards mirror and found none, Sanskar peeps his head from washroom as he looks at her refection from mirror with a small smile. Ragini who already saw it acts like unknown. She caressed the rectangular red velvet box and opens it only to get her heart freezed. She felt a lump on her throat as her hands shivered touching the mangalsutra inside it, her eyes glint with tears. Sanskar who saw it widen his eyes, "Noooooo", he shouted immediately coming out of washroom making Ragini startled and throwing the box on dresser, Ragini kept her hand on her chest shocked with widen eyes while , Sanskar comes infront of her, "Dare you shed a single tear", he warns pointing his finger at him while ragini looks at him in utter shock.

"Are you mad?", Ragini shouts coming back into her senses. "I acted before but, now I am completely normal", he utters when Ragini smacks his arm. "Idiot! You made me scared", She utters sighing. Sanskar who now realize this widen his eyes and tried to control his laughter. "What?", Ragini asked annoyed when he shook his head and then starts laughing while ragini stood keeping her hands on her waist. "Okay! Okay! Sorry!", He holds his ears showing his palm. Ragini shook her head glaring him while, he moved forward and picks up the Mangalsutra and ragini eyes was stucked at it, "It's beautiful, Sanskar", Ragini utters overwhelmed. "I know", Sanskar utters smiling. He kept it infront of her eyes, "Shall I?", He asked as Ragini now looks at him, "Make you wear it?", He asked hesitated. Ragini looks at him and nodded slightly turning her back on him. She forwarded her hairs while sanskar felt his heartbeat rise as his hands started shivering suddenly, he looks at Ragini through mirror and then at her neck, he gulps closing his eyes as he forwarded the Mangalsutra adoring it on her neck. Ragini smiled seeing the Mangalsutra when her eyes land on his closed eyes, "How would you lock it with closed eyes?", She asked making him instantly open his eyes being embarrassed. He nodded with flushed face as he tied it, she was smiling seeing his face but, her smiled vanish at the contact of his finger on her neck and she felt her heartbeat pacing faster on her chest, she looks at him and he also looks up at the same time sharing a small eyelock. "Let me remove this thread", he utters looking other side and Ragini nodded gulping. He removed the thread and now, the Mangalsutra dangled around her neck. She turns and Sanskar looks at her, "It looks good", he utters while she smile nodding. He forwarded the thread and she holds it in her hand and keeps it safe, "I'll just go and change", she utters and Sanskar nodded walking out of the room. Laksh who saw all that hides as sanskar walks out and he looks on fisting his hand.

At Hall, Ragini decends now changing her clothes into a light blue color saree with silver border. Everyone smiled at her as she walks towards parineeta, "Tell me bhabhi, What do you want to eat in sweet dish for dinner?", Ragini asked and swara comes holding tray with tea for everyone. "Kheer?", Adarsh utters. "No!", Parineeta says. "Say, pari bahu it'll be ragini  rasaoi rasam", Annupurna says and ragini smiled at her. Swara forwarded the cup to laksh who looks at her. She was about to move to Sanskar when sujata comes and hold the cup giving it to sanskar who smiled at Sujata. "Fruit custard?", Parineeta utters. "Wooow, something new", Uttara says and Ragini smiled, "Okay, Fruit custard it is", Ragini says. "I'll help you", Sujata says. "No! I'll do it alone. Don't worry", Ragini says. "Ragini, don't add pineapples as I am allergic to it", Parineeta says and ragini smiled, "Okay! Bhabhi", she says turning. "And, also don't add papaya as it'll be harmful to baby too", Annupurna says stopping her. "Don't worry, Maa", Ragini blinks at Annupurna who smiled nodding. Ragini looks at Sanskar who shows her Thumbs Up, Ragini smiled blinking as she went to kitchen. Swara and Laksh both saw this and looks on.

"What it is, Swara?", Laksh asked as swara drags her to the other side of hall hiding behind a pillar. "I need you to bring pineapples and papaya", Swara says. "What? But, why?", He asked when swara glared at him. "Are you deaf? Didn't you heard Bhabhi and Maa told Ragini to not add these things. We'll add these things", Swara utters folding her arms. "But, it'll be harmful", Laksh utters holding her arm. "Don't worry, I won't let parineeta Bhabhi eat it and will stop her before then, we'll do drama that Ragini tried to harm her and then", Swara and Laksh smirked, "Booomm....
