||55|| Prank or not?
RAGINI'S POV
"Ragini!" I heard faint voices ringing in the back of my head, prompting me to wake up. As I began to rise from my deep slumber, my hand came into contact with the soft, cozy comforter causing me to settle back into my slumber.
As the world around me dwelled back into pitch black, I felt a cold liquid hit my chest causing me to jolt up abruptly. I let out a loud shriek before rubbing my eyes to spot Swara rubbing her forehead, Sanskaar smacking the back of Laksh's head and my new prey, Laksh smirking as he held up a bucket.
Without thinking twice, I lunged towards me feet yelling, "I am going to kill you and feed your bones to the vultures in South America. Did you hear that , you-"
"Shut up! Everyone is fast asleep," Swara hissed at me as Sanskaar pulled me back while Laksh stared incredulously at my violence.
"Is this honestly necessary for all of you to wake me up?" I asked immensely frustrated, to the extent that I badly wanted to pull my hair for their stupidity.
"We have a serious problem here," Sanskaar cleared his throat as the serious silence penetrated through the room.
"That is?" I enquired as I wrapped my comforter around me, throwing death glares at Laksh.
"You have brain tumor," Sanskaar declared loudly while Swara smacked his arm.
"That was not what you were supposed to say," Swara and Laksh burst at him in unison.
"Ragini, we think you have brain tumor," Swara mumbled hoarsely, the bloodshed eyes making it visible that she was crying previous to all this.
"That is such a big difference from what I said," Sanskaar retorted like a child.
I did not know whether that made the situation less intense or more comical. This sounded one hundred percent like a prank and I was not going to fall for it.
"Yeah right and Swara has alzheimer's," I countered sarcastically while their expressions changed from sadness to confusion to frustration.
"Ragini, this is real. Here are the reports," Swara thrusted the reports into my hands, forcing me to open them.
I began scanning through these medical documents where it was clearly shown, with x-rays of my brain, that I had severe brain tumor.
"Where did you find these?" I asked them bewildered.
"At our doorstep," Laksh remarked, running a hand through his hair.
This was such a joke.
"Are you kidding me? Couldn't you come up with a better excuse."
"This is not a joke, Ragini," Sana sternly replied.
"Oh really? Then why on Earth would these reports randomly sit on your doorstep?" I tapped my foot impatiently, waiting for an explanation.
"Let's take her to the doctor and just confirm it," Laksh intervened in between and glanced at the time.
I looked at all of them amused at the exaggeration of this prank. Will they actually take me to a doctor right now?

RAGINI's POV
And they did, before I knew it, I was standing in front of the city hospital. Swara rubbing my hand apologetically, Sanskaar beside her was ranting away on the phone for an appointment. Why am I even here when we have no appointment? Laksh was parking the car while Nita was grinning widely beside me. The poor girl was probably assuming the prank to be reality, she was probably thinking that I was going to die soon and she could have Laksh all to herself.
"Okay, let's go," Laksh hastily said, walking towards the main desk.
Sanskaar yanked him back from the hood before retorting, "We have to go to the second floor. That's the main desk for the children's clinic."
"To be honest, she is worse than a child, so I don't see why I am wrong," Laksh responded grudgingly.
"Hey! Hey! What's with the sudden rudeness? I didn't ask you to play this prank on me," I jarringly yelled.
"Prank?" Nita asked confused. See, I knew she assumed that all this was reality.
"Ignore her. She's just in denial," Sanskaar replied back this time, narrowing his eyes at me.
Denial? Denial my foot. "Just because I am smart enough to figure out your prank, doesn't mean you have to throw sarcastic remarks at my face," I pointed out with a dramatic stint.
"You are the sarcastic queen here, young lady," Swara rolled her eyes at me.
Laksh, probably having enough of all the bickering, grabbed my wrist and dragged me towards the elevator. Within minutes, I was pushed into the elevator by other random people, causing me to directly crush into Laksh. He slid a hand around my waist with a cheeky smile playing on his lips. I rolled my eyes, stomping on his leg as he placed a kiss on my cheek.
Luckily, the elevator doors opened right then and Swara caught my hand, successfully dragging me out of the crowded elevator. As I began heading towards the room belonging to the doctor, Laksh halted a wheelchair before me.
"Sit here," he declared profusely while Swara groaned from behind.
"I can walk perfectly fine, thank you very much," I bit out harshly as I threw death glares towards him.
"I read somewhere that you will start feeling dizzy so we better buy you a wheelchair," Laksh completely ignored my presence and went on about his future plans of buying a wheelchair.
"Oh my god! Can we please go to this doctor," Swara intervened and strided past us all.
Following my sister, I entered the third room to the left and a fairly aged man greeted us. He sat against the wall in his chair and rose as we entered as a greeting. My sister murmured a greeting while the rest of us acknowledged him with a nod.
"Hello, Dr. Jain, here are the reports I mentioned and this is Ragini, the patient," Sanskaar jovially replied and thrusted me into the chair opposite to the doctor.
"Hello Ragini, take a seat," Dr Jain warmly replied as he studied the reports from Sanskaar.
He glanced at me several times as he flipped through pages in confusion as I smiled at him sheepishly. Obviously, this was a prank and this poor old man was confused to hell as to why I was sitting here. As he cleared his throat, all of us sucked a breath in for his answer.
"The brain tumor is severe for sure but it is not clear whether you are the victim or not," he replied hesitantly, trying to put his confusion in the best way as possible.
Swara squealed in delight and gave me a hug. Now that I am thinking about it, maybe the boys pranked her in this trick as well.
"I told you," I happily whispered to Laksh, a hidden threat lying beneath my words.
I WAS SO GOING TO KILL HIM FOR THIS HUMILIATION.
"In such a severe case of brain tumor, you would have been having symptoms but I can see that you are perfectly fine. You better find out who these reports actually belong to," he handed the reports back to me and lifted his eyebrow at my long sigh.
"Thank you, doctor," I remarked gratefully, "We are very sorry to take your time."
Sanskaar was muttering something underneath his breath while Laksh was rushing out of the door to escape my wrath.
"You freaking insane creatures! What were you thinking before you got me here? Did you lose your minds? It says Ragini here, not Ragini Gadodia!" I yelled on top of my lungs, the very minute we stepped out of the doctor's office, causing several people nearby to give us stares.
Anger rose in my chest as I seethed out venom from my mouth. The blind rage in my body was unstoppable and somebody was going to be the victim to my wrath.
"We don't know any other Ragini so we naturally assumed that it was you," Sanskaar attempted to calm me down while Swara smacked my arm to shut me up.
"Hell to your assumptions, I am out of here," I yelled once again and stormed out the building.
I was going to pay them back for my humiliation and in such a way that they will never ever forget.

SANSKAAR'S POV
I watched in amusement as Ragini stormed out of the building after she publicly threatened Laksh for his life. The look on Laksh's face at this moment was absolutely hilarious as he was the victim to my masterplan.
"Wow, you are really having issues," Nita blurted out to Laksh, out of the blue.
"Excuse me," Laksh said frustrated at this accusation.
"I mean, without any proper proof, any proper explanation, you decided that she had brain tumor. Infact, that looks like the brain of a little child," Nita looked at him incredulously, like she couldn't believe that she ever knew Laksh.
"Exactly! That's what I'm trying to explain you, Laksh is not the right guy for you. You deserve way better than him!" I ranted out, agreeing to her accusations.
"I think I realized that," Nita mumbled, as if a silent realization hit her. She stared at Laksh for a good moment before walking out of the building as well.
Man, Laksh was certainly not having a good day at all. Two girls walking out on him has completely damaged his reputation.
"That was easy. We didn't even have to do anything in order to convince her. Your natural stupidity did the trick!" I said exuberantly as I patted him on the back in celebration.
"Was that a compliment or an insult?"
"Depends how you take it,"
"A compliment it is!"
"I am really confused at the turn of events." Swara finally stepped into the picture, puzzled at the events of the day.
"This was the entire plan, my dear," I smiled in triumph, my chest swelling in pride.
"What?!" both of them shrieked in unison.
*Flashback*
"Why did you call me here?" Nita asked me perplexed as she entered my room.
I cleared my throat dramatically, putting on my acting expressions as I glanced at her, "Look, I really don't know how to break this out to you."
"You can just tell me directly," she pointed out, raising her eyebrow in exhaustion.
"The thing is: Laksh is facing a few brain problems," I started out of steadily, taking her neutral expression into account, I further explained, "He is not paying attention to his common sense and is acting according to his wishes. Are you getting what I am trying to say?"
"No," she shook her head and I sighed.
This was way harder than I thought. Should I just tell her that Laksh is going crazy? I guess so. She is clearly not taking my hints into account.
"I think he is going crazy. He is refusing to see things in the scientific perspective but rather is driven by his childish and emotional senses. Look, I know I am his brother but you are my good friend, as well. I only want the best for you and I don't think that Laksh is the 'one'," I voiced out with my most upset expression ever. I let the sadness consume and stared at the window for the effect.
"Is this some sort of a prank?" she softly yet wryly enquired.
"I wish it was. I truly wish it was merely a prank but this is the reality of my brother," I let my facade slip out a bit as a I glanced at her to see that she was stuck between her choice.
"I need proof," she finally declared and I grinned at my victory.
"He found this x-ray of a child on the floor and he feels that the x-ray belongs to Ragini," I tossed the reports at her and she quickly commenced examining them.
"What?" she asked baffled as she went through the reports.
"Watch what he does tomorrow. Meet us in his room at six in the morning," I instructed her as she nodded instantly.
My plan was in full action.
*End of Flashback*
"That is amazing!" Laksh appreciated my efforts and he proceeded to give me a hug.
"You are absolutely insane!" Swara interjected, shocked at my master plan.
"Insanely Genius? That I am," I mocked and winked at her.
"How did you even come up with this prank?"
"My brain is capable of much more than you think."
"That is debatable but honestly, good job!"
"I need to go prepare for my date," Laksh bursted out in worry all of a sudden. His eyes widened in realization while we stared at him in absolute oblivion
"Date? Which one?" Swara asked him bewildered as he began calling a caterer and arranging flowers.
"The one I won from Matchmaker," he hissed at his in vexation before running out of the hospital to plan his date.
"You have a proposal pending as well," Swara smirked as blood drained out of my face as well.
"I thought that was a joke," I stuttered out accusingly.
"Is our engagement a joke?" she asked as she raised her eyebrow and she drew her hand to her waist.
"No."
"Then so isn't the proposal," she smiled mischievously as she planted a quick kiss on my cheek, a wicked glint passing through her eyes as I realized that I didn't have a plan.
I am officially doomed.

I have an announcement to make ( not sure if this is good or bad): THE NEXT CHAPTER IS GOING TO BE THE LAST CHAPTER OF THE BOOK!
After going through the story for the past month, I realized that there is no point in dragging this story beyond this. It is good to let it be sweet and simple! I am definitely not done with these four insane people so I might write a few ONE SHOTS about them in THIS book itself, so don't delete this from your library.
Now, here's the questions: WHAT DO YOU WANT THE EPILOGUE TO BE ABOUT?
I purposely didn't include their marriage or anything of that sort as I wanted to leave this as a youth oriented book. So, do you really want me to write an epilogue about their lives after 5 years? Or just have my usual sarcastic ending?
