HELLO!

I'm FINALLY back! I'm so sorry for not being able to update or respond to any of you for the past few months but the thing is that I lost someone important in my life and there are a few characters, stories and words that remind me of them as I try to write these stories.

But now that I am back, I will make sure that I update regularly! It will take me some time to figure out the continuation of the story as it has been a while since I last wrote, so hang in there with me!

Anyways, do support the story as you did a few months back because SwaSan and RagLak need your support to get back into shape! :)

RAGINI'S POV

You see, I am a very short tempered person, I think you got that by now. It doesn't take me long to get angry and trust me, all this matchmaking thing is getting on my nerves. There is nothing I want to do more than throw water on my sister's head for coming up with this idea; shoving pie on Laksh's face for tagging along with my weirdo twin and telling Nita that she could have Laksh because I am absolutely done with all this. Alas, this was International Television with the show being aired in more than ten different countries, so unless I wanted to embarrass myself, I should shut up and get my brain to find out all the things Laksh picked.

Julia strided across the room, placing a bag of coins before everyone as the auction tables were set up. I picked up the bag of coins to see that I had exactly one hundred chocolate gold coins in my bag. She enthusiastically clapped her hands when she was done, halting at the centre and explained the rules, "You all have been given hundred coins, the auction will start with one item at a time. If you think Laksh has picked that item, you have to bid a prize for that. The one with the highest wins, if that is the item that Laksh picked, you will be given all of the coins you bid back while if it isn't you will be given only half the amount of coins back. Play wisely! And let's take a quick commercial break before we begin the game!"

I frowned at the items placed before me before walking over to Swara.

"Are you sure you are the twin I see everyday? Because she should know that I absolutely hate doing all this," I mumbled with irritation as I raised my eyebrow.

"She also has a brain, unlike you, and knows that this is a great plan," Swara swanked with pride, throwing my remark back at my face.

We heard Julia call Swara causing her to rush over to her in an instant. Frustration at peak in my nerves, urged me to go run out from the back exit of the set. Instead, I stormed towards Laksh who was busy setting his hair in the mirror. That jerk! All he had to do was sit there and look good while I had to play games to win him. Honestly, if he got me to do this before we were dating, I would have never ever given in to be in a relationship with him. But it's too late now.

"You looked better when you were confused," I heard a husky voice pull me out of my thoughts as a hand snaked my waist, pulling me into a familiar warmth.

"And you will look even better when I loose and Nita wins," I smacked my elbow into his stomach, nudging him to get out of my way.

"Don't you dare," Laksh threatened, beads of sweat dripping on his forehead and uncertainty written all over.

"Look, I seriously don't want to come on a date with you, so you have three minutes to convince me that I need to win," I crossed my arms, tapping my foot for him to go on with his rant on why I should be doing this.

"I will get you a new racing car," The poor kid was actually trying hard to do this, his eyes yearning for approval while his forehead was wrinkling due to stress. But it wasn't enough.

"The new one is coming out in two months."

"Ragini, please do this for me! Otherwise Nita will never ever let us be together. She put chewing gum on one of my girlfriend's hair, she painted another's car with grease, she caused a fracture on another one, and-"

"You know that I can burst her car anytime right," I cut him off, looking at him dubiously.

"I keep forgetting who you are."

"The very one who will tie you to the chair on your future date with Nita."

"Fine, if you win, I am going to declare my long lasting love before the camera."

"Someday you will go far and I really hope that you stay there because Earth is not the right place for your embarrassment."

"Can you stop throwing your witty remarks at me?"

"I am born for that," I slyly remarked, flaunting my wit.

He narrowed his eyes at me, almost as if there was something I was missing. Oh yes! How am I supposed to pick one thing when I don't know anything about him, "I don't know much about you to pick from 150 things."

"Trust our memories," he whispered in my ear, gently pressing a kiss to my forehead.

Memories flashes against my face as I recalled our times. Everything seemed like a magical story, I was too lucky than I should be. Little barriers did stop our path all along and there were opportunities where we could have chosen someone else but we didn't. We kept choosing this path and kept choosing each other over and over and if this doesn't say something about destiny, then I don't know what does.

For the first time in the day, I flashed him my genuine smile of content. I could see the relief washing over his body at my action. He lept forward to say something before he was hastily pulled away by a spot boy.

Maybe this wasn't bad after all. Maybe it was only me that was complicating everything.

LAKSH'S POV

I glanced nervously at the auction that was taking place. They were fighting over a keychain from Switzerland that one of my friend got me. Until Sanskaar came up and digged my entire room, I forgot that half of these things ever existed. Ragini was yawning at her bag of gold coins, playing with the loose ends while everyone was fighting for the keychain.

Honestly, I don't really mind Nita at all. She is just a little obsessive over me and I feel that you need people like that in your life. They make you realize how important you are and how amazing everything about you is. They boost your morale immensely. I mean, who would have thought, Ragini Gadodia, the girl who always had boys running behind her is fighting for me.

"Can I please auction all my money for that sticky note bundle there," Ragini snapped me out of my thoughts, her bored drawl clearly reflected her immense boredom in this entire situation.

"Anymore auctions for that?" Julia asked, stunned at the interference of Ragini.

I smirked as Nita gazed at Ragini, completely oblivious as to what she was doing while Ragini proudly handed over the bag of coins for the sticky note bundle.

"It is taken," Julia announced as she closed the auction for the sticky note bundle.

A wild cheer emerged through the crowd and the crackers of confetti were launched from either side of the stage. All the girls bounced back in shock as the red roses fell on them from above while from the corner of the eye, I could see Swara yelling at a spot boy for why there were red roses falling.

"And with that, we have found a girlfriend for Mr Laksh Maheshwari!" Julia announced jovially, beaming with delight as she invited me to the stage.

Time for some action.

I made my way towards the stage, building the anticipation of what I am about to do. I took my place near Ragini whose eyes were challenging me to fulfil my promise while Nita stood there, behind her, seething at her victory.

"My girlfriend has always been my priority. She has been the woman I have given my complete attention, love and care. She is a person who I love to the moon and back. I can take all her sarcasm, her pranks, her stupidity, her carelessness just for a genuine smile on her face. I can fight with thousand Zain's and kill millions just for her safety. I felt a spark from the first time we met and I am glad that it lasted so long that now I can call you my 'girlfriend'," I concluded my rant, getting down to my knees and handed her the red rose I pulled out from my jacket.

The entire crowd, including everyone on set, burst into an erratic cheer, whistling and 'awwing' at our mini moment. I could feel the heat given out by Ragini's cheeks as she took the rose from my hand. Her eyes dancing with pleasure as her chest swelled with pride while a small smile lit her face, sending a wave of satisfaction through my body.

I smirked at her as Julia finished off the credits and ended the show. After hastily bidding us felicitations, she left the stage to wrap up the set. The other girls walked away grudgingly while Ragini stood there stunned, twisting the red rose in her hand. I sauntered lazily towards her, pulling her closer by her arm.

"I never thought you would actually do it. I mean, you have never been one of the daring type ones," she drawled out teasingly, winking her eye.

"I just realized sarcasm is poisonous to you which is why you keep trying to throw it out every minute of your life," I commented back disdainfully, rolling my eyes at her reluctance to accept her defeat.

"You fail every time you try to make a joke so I need to balance it out. Otherwise, our relationship will be as boring as your life."

"Do you want me to tell your parents what you did to me on the first day of university? All the pranks you play on freshers?"

"Are you threatening me?"

"Are you stupid?"

"The side effects of hanging out with you too often."

"Shut up and admit that I am the best boyfriend."

She gave me a long stare before rattling away, "You haven't really done anything to be given that title. Infact, all you have done is throw me in more complicated situations like the Zain issue, this whole Nita situation-"

Before she could finish her long list of complaints she has for me, I stuffed her mouth with a piece of cake I found lying on the table behind her.

"You really need it. Now go home, I think you are done for the day," I said, shoving her towards her car as she bickered about something while trying to chew the cake in her mouth.

I waved as she ruthlessly slammed the door of the car and barked at the driver to take her home. Oh, Ragini, wait till tomorrow. Watch how I turn this date into the best one we had so far.

SANSKAAR'S POV

"No, I am not helping you," Swara snapped hotly at me, her anger at the highest notch.

I sighed before continuing without caring what she was saying, "We need to organize all the small things in these bags and the bigger ones like the laptop should be placed in the suitcase."

I threw the two smaller plastic bags at her, taking the suitcase for myself. We needed to get back all the things I took from Laksh's room for the auction and I couldn't organize 150 things by myself all over again. In fact, it took me a lot of time to convince Laksh to give them to me in the first place and if I don't return them back safely, he will steal all mine.

"You are taking advantage of my kind nature," Swara shortly declared, vexed as she commenced helping me.

"I love listening to lies when I know the truth."

"Don't go that far because - oh crap!" she cried out as the Russian doll fell from her hands, hitting the marble floor and cracking into several pieces. (A/N -Doll picture above)

"That's a souvenir from Russia, he is going to kill you for that," I jeered, trying my best not to laugh at her horrified face.

"Then stop staring and help me fix it," she burst out, attempting vigorously to fix it. The fear was evident on her face, the shock resurfacing as the doll refused to go back together.

Instead of helping her, I flung out my phone and snapped a picture of her.

"What are you doing?" she demanded exasperated at my behaviour.

"This is for future blackmail," I responded honestly as I slid the phone back into my pocket and pushed her hands off the glass pieces of the doll.

I nudged her, and took her shoulders to raise her up. She willingly let me raise her till we were standing nose to nose, while her face was drenched with an aura of worry. Seeing a chuckle escape my mouth, she wrapped her hands around my neck, bringing us closer than before.

"You know, everybody says that there is a person made for everyone and for you," she said, trailing off the words as she let her hands come back to my collar while I raised my eyebrow.

"For me," I pried her to continue as I tightened my grip on her waist.

"And that person for you is a psychiatrist," she snarled as she exerted a force on my chest, causing me to tumble backwards while she crossed her arms in fury.

"Is that your way of saying that you are going to be a psychiatrist? Because I feel that you fit better in the role of a patient," I pointe out with the best poker face I could uphold for the time before Swara hit my arm causing me to burst out laughing.

"I hate you," she declared bitterly, the fake venom in her words obvious.

"Look, I seriously understand if you don't like me, not everyone has good taste."

"True, maybe I should leave you then because your proposal was very lame."

My jaw dropped as my face portrayed how offended I felt from her words, "Lame? It was a surprise engagement party, in front of thousands of people, I got you a gown that you like, what else do you want?"

"Proposal is a very private affair, it should happen between two people, not the entire world," she smirked as she glanced meekly at me.

"You are the most boldest and straightforward person I know. How would I have known you want a 'private engagement'?"

"So what are you going to do now?"

"Are you serious? Do you want me to propose you once again?" I asked her incredulously, not able to believe her antics.

"That's for you to decide and me to know," she narrated the exact same lines before the engagement.

"I have the entire set to manage, so move out of the way, Sanskaar," she barked at me when a spot boy called her for the organization of various objects on the set.

"Your mood swings change like the wind changes directions," I muttered ignorantly, giving her space to leave.

"You have to deal with this for the rest of your life."

That gave birth to a vicious idea and I pulled her back against me, whispering into her ear, "Well, then let's turn your wish into reality."

"This better be good," she said skeptically at my change of mood before strolling away to finish her works.

"Oh, it is," I mused, as I formulated a plan in my head. The tiny seed growing into a complete plan which will be the most fun to execute.

Time for some fun.

SWARA'S POV

"I am going to stuff your mouth with cement before murdering you and then, I will throw you in the oceans for the sharks to eat, understand?" I barked out frantic curses at Sanskaar for disturbing my beauty sleep/

"As much I would love to break your wild fantasies, I need to tell you that we have something important to discuss. Get here fast," he instructed, his voice etching with worry.

"Sanskaar, I am NOT coming all the way to your house at five in the morning! Call me when you find a better way to deliver the important news to me," I warned rigidly.

I heard a deep groan from the other side, the frustration was evident in his voice and his sincere concern was something I haven't seen so far.

"Can you act like an adult and understand the urgency of the situation, please."

That was the first time Sanskaar ever said please to me, before I knew it, I murmured an okay and dashed into the washroom to get ready. Something about the way he was talking caused inner turmoil inside my stomach. I scurried away from the room, careful not to wake Ragini up.

Wait a second.

Why did he call me and not Ragini? How dare he disturb my sleep and not Ragini's? And why am I not complaining to Ragini on exactly why I have to get ready at five am? Is he planning to run away with me?

Oh shit, then I need to pack my bags and make sure that I declare all my precious treasures consisting of several Harry Potter movies, bike keys, my disney world pillow case in Ragini's name. Oh, and I also need to change the passwords for all my accounts so that Ragini can access them. But I don't have time to do all that right now. How can we run away when Dadi will wake up in another hour?

But why are we running away? Our parents agreed to get us married and his parents are permitting him to live in London after getting married as well, then what's the problem?

Confused at my conflicting thoughts, I dialled up Sanskaar number and he growled immediately after picking up.

"Where are you?"

"Dude, am I supposed to come alone? Or with Ragini? Should I pack my bags?" I asked puzzled, standing in the middle of my room. The light from my phone and my hair which looked like a nest certainly made me look like devil who is wandering at night.

"Swara, just come. Laksh and I got some medical reports which don't look good."

"Medical reports? Whose medical reports?" Why did they get medical reports? How did they get medical reports?

"Ragini."

And with that the turmoil in my stomach broke loose as the fear penetrated throughout my body.

This was bad

If  you are confused as to what is happening, so am I! I didn't know what I was going to do with Nita and where I was going after the Matchmaking idea so I completely switched gears. If I hopefully get back what I was doing, I will continue with that!

Do you think Sanskaar is pulling a prank on Swara or is there actually something going on with Ragini?
