||51|| Long Drives and New Suspects
I finally decided to grace you all with my presence. Don't give me that look. I know I am late like always but I cannot help it, I have so much work to do! And Swara, Ragini, Sanskaar and Laksh are not helping me finish it so blame them if you have any complains.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
RAGINI'S POV
I slid through the thin space of the door, knowing well that I would land in huge trouble for doing this. It was hardly 4 in the morning and just like 'normal people', my entire family was fast asleep except me. I, being me, was suffocated by staying in the same room for the entire day. After the huge engagement and party that followed after Swara's sudden outburst.
Boy, was that hilarious. After all the rituals were completed and they finally engaged, she decided to burst out crying and ruin her makeup. Poor Sanskaar was looking at her, oblivious as to what to do at the mascara running down her face and her sobbing. It was clearly the first time he was seeing her cry as he stood there stunned for whole five minutes before I had to step his foot to get him to console his future bride.
Laksh was a complete different story. The entire crowd kept throwing hints at him as to when he would propose me but mister I-am-an-idiot was just giving them confused smiles making me want to strangle him. To be honest, I feel that I should have threatened him as to why he was not proposing at the same time his brother was.
How come they get to marry first? Oh! I know, because my boyfriend was an idiot who had commitment issues.
I let out a breath as the cold air from outside filled my lungs, freeing me from my claustrophobic sensations. I let out a mini sequel in my head for escaping perfectly before hitting my garage. I crossed my fingers, hoping that the entire world wouldn't wake up. Actually, scratch that, who cares about the entire world? I was just hoping Dadi wouldn't see me going out this early in the morning.
I pulled out my keys from the shelf and got on my motorbike, chucking the key in, to start my adventure for the day. The guards were half asleep when I nudged them to wake up and proceeded to my destination.

SWARA'S POV
I gawked at my sister speeding away in her motorbike at 4 in the morning.
"She did not just do that," I muttered in disdain, confused as to what to do now. Should I follow her?
"Swara," I heard a dramatic voice behind me causing me to curse Ragini.
"What are you doing here at this time?!" Dadi gasped, taking my hand and dragging me into the living room.
"Don't worry Dadi, I am not running away. This relationship didn't happen against my will," I mocked with a wide grin making her look at me as if I grew heads in a split second.
"How are you going to look like a pretty bride if you don't get some beauty sleep?"
"Well, good that I am not getting married tomorrow," I sarcastically snickered.
"I was thinking if it would be good to have a double wedding-"
"Dadi! You can't get married now!" I shrieked with horror, "Why didn't you tell me that you wanted to get married again? Is it because of papa? Did he say something that he doesn't want you in the house anymore? Don't worry about that! If you want I can buy you your own house and you wouldn't have to worry about anyone. I can even-"
"Swara, let's go to a psychiatrist right now. You need to get your head checked, right now," she ordered in a panicked tone, dragging me again to the door.
Why would she need to take me to the doctor? I was helping her, she should thank me instead. Right?
"Dadi, are you okay?" I placed a hand on her shoulder, turning her to me.
"Are you okay? I was talking about Ragini and Laksh's wedding and I don't know what you are thinking."
"Oh! Oh," suddenly realizing what she was trying to say and smiled at her sheepishly.
"That will only work if Laksh's builds the courage to propose her," I blurted out with a said sigh.
"We could just take the proposal to their house," Dadi suggested while I scoffed at the idea.
"Dadi, your other granddaughter is just as worse as you. She is not going to get married till he gets down to his knees."
Instead of being offended by my remark and snapping at me like she usually does, she nodded and said, "I am still going to talk to the planner about arranging two weddings."
I opened my mouth to tell her that Sanskaar and I were not going to get married anytime soon but it was too late as she was already dialling a number on her phone. Honestly, now that I am thinking about the double wedding idea, it doesn't sound that bad. In fact it sounded so cool. Two twins brides. Two twin grooms. Two twin weddings.
I dashed to my room and grabbed my phone, "You are an idiot."
I heard Laksh growl from the other side before snapping, "If that's why you woke me up, you are a jerk. I'm hanging up now."
Before I could even blurt out my entire purpose of my call, the lazy idiot hung up on me. When will boys understand not to hang up on girls? I sighed as I let my eyes lead me back to my dreamland.

LAKSH'S POV
I jerked awake when I spelled sour vinegar being thrown at me, the stinky smell burning violently in my nose.
"What is wrong with you?" I yelled at Uttara who was grinning wickedly at my.
"I was trying to wake you up," she innocently pledged while I stared at her with disdain.
"Like THIS? Who wakes a person by throwing vinegar at them?"
"Water is getting quite boring, don't you think?"
"That does NOT mean you throw vinegar at me! Can you see how bad this smells?"
"To make your life more miserable, Ragini is waiting for you outside."
"What now?"
"Tell her to leave right now, I am not, I repeat, I am not coming out like this."
Uttara sighed at me before playing an audio file with Ragini yelling, "Get out in the next two minutes, no excuses. We are going for a morning ride. Oh and if you don't, get ready for me to barge into your room at whatever the time is, I am not sure if your parents will be happy with that though. Decide quick because we are going on our ride either way."
"Is she even a human? Why the hell is she awake at four in the morning?" I mumbled gravelly.
"What are you staring at? Get out so that I can get all this out of my skin." I turned to Uttara who was laughing her head off at my situation.
"Laugh my dear sister, laugh, you will not be doing that when I will be done with you," I gave her a deadly warning with a death glare before slamming my bathroom door.

RAGINI'S POV
"Finally you show up," I retort, jumping off the bike as Laksh jogged up to me, his hair damped wait from a shower, dressed in jeans and a black jacket. I glanced at my outfit which consisted of a sweatpants and a denim jacket and quickly felt underdressed.
Within seconds the thought was lost in the wide ocean in my brain when Laksh pulled me into a warm bear hug, sprinkling all the water from his hair into mine.
"Eww! Get off you stinky beast," I hotly shoved him off me while he narrowed his eyes at me in disbelief.
"You wake me up at four in the morning and this is what I get? I remand a refund for making you my girlfriend,"he declared evasively while I shrugged at him, tossing the keys at him.
"The only thing you will get is the opportunity to take me on a morning ride."
"What if I don't want to?" he asked, his eyes glinting in meschief which made me smirk.
"Then I would think that I have a useless boyfriend," I smirked as I hit the bulls eye.
He rolled his eyes at me before asking me to hop on before driving off on the road. The cold breeze gently swayed my bangs as I rested my head against Laksh's back.
"Where do you want to go?" he asked me dubiously, increasing the speed of the bike.
"Take me to any off the racetracks, we need to get you prepared for that competition," I mumbled back in a lazy drawl.
"Which one?"
"The one Sanskaar hired me for. When is it again?"
"Um, Ragini, there was never a competition," he muttered in voice that I couldn't hear if I ever not so close.
"What? Then why was there a job opening?" I jumped back a little, causing him to decrease the speed of the bike.
"It was Sanskaar's way to get me back to my flirty life by bringing in a hot girl and it just so happens that he found the right one," he cheekily said with a wink from the mirrors.
"Go shove these pickup lines in somebody else's face, I am getting bored with these," I retorted sharply and rolled my eyes.
"Oh really? I better upgrade my style then,"he chuckled when his phone started to ring vibrantly.
He cursed away profanities under his breath before sliding the phone from his pocket and thrusting it in my hand. I scowled at his behaviour and placed the call on speaker, shoving it in Laksh's mouth.
"Hello?" he said unsure who it was on the other end.
"You are alive!" we heard Swara jovially declare from the other side causing us to frown.
"Ofcourse I am alive. Why would you even think that I died?" Laksh asked perplexed.
"We have a problem." It was Sanskaar this time and his voice didn't sound happy.
That line, my friends, is never a sign of good news and I assure you it will be the same now. Problems just can't seem to end in my life, can they?

SANSKAAR'S POV
"No, take that to Hemanth and ask him to look it over," I ordered, tossing the file to my PA and she scurried off with a nod.
I glanced at the sun's rays just peeking out of the clouds and a long yawn escaping me. What was I doing here at 5 in the morning? Long story short, I was here to finish a few presentations before my meetings which I didn't get to finish due to all the happenings in the past few days.
"We have an intruder in the building," I heard my recorder screech causing me to almost leap out of my chair in horror.
"What are the guards doing? They have been appointed for the purpose of stopping intruders from walking in," I scolded Hemanth and I could sense him giving me a disbelief look.
"She kicked them quite hard and dodged into the office," he said with amusement while I frowned, somebody kicked the guards? This girl must be desperate.
"Send 'her' to me," I blurted out a command and quickly ruffled my hair.
Within the next few minutes, I heard sharp heels clinging to my tiles and I waited expectantly for a figure to storm and it did. I lifted my gaze to meet vexed Swara stomping into my office, murder swirling in her eyes.
"You?!" I asked her in shock as she stiffly sat infront of me. I couldn't help but wonder how she managed to get ready, tip top at 5 in the morning. I glanced at myself in regular jeans and a blazer thrown over a random t-shirt. She wasn't even a morning person, was she already awake?
"Hello to you too," she said back sternly, her nails tapping on my desk.
"Why are you here and why are you kicking my security guards?" I mocked her furious figure. This was not how I expected my fiance to greet me on the first day after our engagement.
"They won't let me in," she replied nonchalantly and shrugged at me.
"Is that so? That's weird," I said absurdly and contacted my guards, "Why weren't you letting my fiance into the building?"
"She is your fiance? Sorry, sir, we thought she was here to dump glitter, throw your MacBook or kill you," he bluntly voiced back and I chuckled sheepishly. She did do all that and I did end up falling in love with her. Why is love so blind?
"Well, I ended up getting engaged to that crazy girl. Next time let her in before she fires you from your positions," I murmured back in a warning before reverting back my attention to Swara.
"So, why are you here?"
"I need to know Laksh's past," she declared with venom while I narrowed his gaze on her.
"You already know that but we can certainly discuss about our future," I wriggled his eyebrows to divert the topic.
"Sanskaar, how many girlfriends did Laksh have?"
"Around ten," I replied after a second, unsure where this was going.
"How many is he still in contact with?" she continued her investigation.
"None."
"How many are long gone?"
"Seven."
"Well, then, here's a little something for you," she barked before shoving her phone before me.
They were all insane, possessive messages from an unknown number. Most of them were direct messages asking Swara to back off from Laksh. The wordings didn't go unnoticed by me and I immediately recognized who this was. And I knew she certainly was not an easy person to deal with.
"Are you kidding me? Why are we back in square one again?" I said exhausted, sagging back into my chair and running a hand through my hair.
"You tell me! Who is this mad girl and what does she want from me?"
"Eh! I think she thinks that you are marrying Laksh,"I trailed off.
"And?"
"She is threatening you to back off."
"What the hell is her problem if I even date Laksh?"
"I will have more problem than her," I growled at her.
"You idiot, I mean what is her problem? Didn't they break up? Did you brother leave her with false hope or something?"
"I think she is just not over him yet."
"Thanks Mr.Obvious," she said back in a flat, bored voice, slamming the desk with her hands.
"Swara, hands down," I warned, saving my precious desk from her wrath.
"Go tell her to jump off a cliff in sorrow but not irritate me with all these insane messages."
"There is a slight problem here," I said, scratching the back off my neck.
"What?"
"She just happens to be the daughter of the CM and is most likely to sue us for this," I mumbled in a rush to see the color of Swara's face drain.
"Sue us? You mean sue you?"
"No, sue you," I replied back sheepishly.
"Why on earth will the damn girl sue me?"
"Because she is possessive over Laksh."
"Then go tell Laksh to go talk to her," I wish it was that easy Swara. I wish.
"That's the problem. She won't listen and trust me, she will do anything to do just get him back on his side."
"Are you sure she isn't a patient from the mental asylum? Sure sounds like one."
"She might be a little psycho-" I started to reason but she cut me off incredulously.
"A little psycho? A little? In exactly two days, I am going to bet I am going to receive death threats from her. She doesn't seem like a little psycho to me."
"Once you get to know her, she is actually one of the most nicest person I have met."
"You clearly didn't meet the world then," she bickered back, shaking her head in negative,"Look, I don't care about her niceness, she is insane and you better behave like a proper fiance and do something about it."
"I am surprised Laksh hasn't come running about this yet."
"Did she already kill him?" I groaned out loud at her assumption as she quickly dialled him up.
"Hello?" I heard Laksh's voice with wind rushing through the background.
"You are alive!" she declared enthusiastically while I rolled my eyes.
"Ofcourse I am alive. Why would you even think that I died?" he asked back unsure and I was going to retort back how stupid Swara is but I regained my composure and said.
"We have a problem."
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
That wasn't awfully long and mostly a filler but I can't wait to write everything after that. It is going to be so fun! Are you excited to see who this ex-girlfriend of Laksh turns out to be. More shocks and twists are right around the corner so hold on tight!
