The life of Allison Cameron, No Emma Swan, back to Allison

(I am not a fan of crossovers, but I have been trying for weeks to write a story for this book, and nothing seems to be working. But recently my husband and I have started a show called House, which is kinda.... but it does have Jennifer Morrison in it, so I thought why not try my luck.)

Mary Margaret Jones was the younger half sister of Lisa Cuddy, she was born the Summer before Lisa started high school. Lisa tried not to hate her little sister, (after all it wasn't Mary Margaret's fault that Lisa's father cheated on her mother, with Milah, his 25 year old tennis instructor. Or that Milah just so happened to "get pregnant" within a few months of their affair, causing Lisa's parents to get divorced, or her father Dr. Killian Jones to marry his mistress (the home wrecker) without actually knowing if the baby was his, (she was but that wasn't Lisa's point) and she did hate her sister. This is why Lisa spent years avoiding Mary Margaret if she could, finding reasons to not attend Mary Margaret's high school or college graduations, Lisa even found a way to get out of going to Mary Margaret's marrying, to her high school sweetheart John Cameron. Lisa wasn't even at the birth of her niece Allison Emma Cameron, even though she knew that the soon to be parents had driven 5 hours from where they lived in Boston to New Jersey. In order for the little girl to be born at the Princeton-Plainsboro Teaching Hospital, where Lisa worked.

It seemed like after the birth of Allison, Mary's life fell apart, first her father Killian died, a year later, John left her for a man. Mary tried to reach out to Lisa, but the older woman still refused to speak with her sister, so once John was gone Mary went back to her maiden name Jones, and she legally changed her daughter's name to Emma Swan, before packing up all their possessions, putting them in the trunk of her old Ford and driving to Queens, to be closer to Milah, where they should have lived happily ever after. Of course that wasn't the case, and when Emma turned 14 Mary Margaret was diagnosed with stage two breast cancer, due to how quickly the disease was progressing Mary's doctor decided it might be best to send her to a specialist named Dr. James Wilson at Princeton-Plainsboro, "No, I can't, my sister works there, and..." "Look Mary, I am sorry that you and your sister don't get along, but Dr. Wilson is the best Cancer doctor, that I know and with him you have a better chance of beating this." After a few weeks of treatment Mary's symptoms weren't getting any better, despite all of James' efforts, so one afternoon she asked him "Do you know of any good lawyers, who could come here to help me make a will." "Sure, but you never know this treatment might..."
"While I appreciate your support, it's not going to work, and we both know it. This is for the best." "Let me make some calls" James says with a sad smile on his face, leaving Mary Margaret's room as her teenaged daughter comes in.

James pulls out his phone, calling his lawyer as he made his way to Lisa's office, walking in without even knocking "I know you know that your sister is my patient, and that she's dying! So I suggest that you go see her before it's to late, because you will regret that." James tells his oldest friend and boss. "What would I say? Do you know that I've spent years avoiding her, over things that weren't even her fault. Now she's dying, and you expect me to just... what? Go say I'm sorry for treating you like shit your whole life, can you forgive me?" "Yes, that's exactly what you should say! And while you're there you should probably get to know your niece as well, because I have a feeling that...No, you know what just go see her before it's too late." James says leaving Lisa's office, then going far enough out of sight to see if Lisa actually did what he required, and smiling when she did. Lisa knocked on the glass door before walking into Mary Margaret's room, seeing her sister like this made the older woman start to cry, (not that she'd ever tell anyone this but Lisa had been keeping tabs on her sister and niece for years now) so seeing her looking so weak broke her heart. Not wanting to waste any second of the time they had left, had Lisa pulling the remaining chair closer to Mary's bed, taking her hand as she broke down, apologizing for all of the pain she'd put her through. "Oh Lisa, please don't cry! I don't want to make you sad!" Mary said as she gently squeezed Lisa's hand. For the next 12 days Lisa Cuddy could be found in the hospital room with her sister and Emma, they spent every minute together just talking about everything, and laughing at nothing, Mary Margaret Jones died at 4am on the 13th day, which weirdly was Friday the thirteenth, the last thing she'd said to Lisa was "I hope that you don't mind, but I am leaving Emma with you, please don't let her forget about me." then she looks over to her daughter and said "Honey, I love you with all my heart, remember that!" then she was gone, leaving 2 of the 3 people she loved most in the world alone and in tears.

After the funeral- Lisa drove Emma to Queens and helped her pack up her room, honestly Lisa had expected to see Milah, but the house was empty. "Yeah, Grandma's not here, she and her new boyfriend Mr. Gold were leaving for a cruise after mom's funeral was over." "Ohmygod!! That's awful!! No, sorry Milah is your Grandmother, and I shouldn't talk about her." "Thanks, but it's okay, honestly I don't think she liked me all that much, which is why my mom left me with you. A perfect stranger, until a few weeks ago." Hearing her young niece say this broke Lisa's heart, so she says "I am a stranger to you, and that's my fault, but you're not a stranger to me. I've had someone keeping tabs on you and your mom since just before your Grandpa passed away. I'm just sorry it took me this long too." This made Emma smile and hug her aunt as she said "We knew! His name was David, it was so funny, mom and I were out at the lake one afternoon, when Mom seen this guy taking pictures of us. She snuck up behind him grabbed his camera, and throw it on the ground, it shattered into like a million pieces it was wicked! And when she asked why he was following us? He said that you paid him too. So she said "FINE! But she never knows that we know, or I'll break more than your camera!" "WOW!" Lisa says returning her niece's hug, before saying "Okay, how about once we finish up here, we go grab dinner at your favorite restaurant." Just before it was time for school to start back Emma tells Lisa "Do you think it would be okay if I changed my name back to Allison?" "Of course it would be if that's what you want Sweetheart!" Lisa tells her, taking her the next day to get it changed.

3 years later-Allison Cameron, graduated high school, she was accepted into multiple colleges such as Princeton, Yale, and Columbia. But chose to attend Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University, after graduating she joined the Army, where she could help people in smaller doctor less countries for 3 years, before coming back to the States, and taking a job at the hospital where her mother died, and she got an opportunity to be raised by her aunt, all those years ago, with the amazing man she'd met while working in a small hospital in the middle of the jungle. However when she told her aunt that she'd be coming back, Lisa never imagined that it would be to work with the likes of Dr. Gregory House.

2 quick notes- #1- I looked and it doesn't say where Cameron attended college, so I just picked something that sounds interesting, however if anyone knows, please feel free to share this information with me. #2-I know that she wasn't in the army, (and I am pretty sure what I wrote, isn't actually how the army works) but I was just trying to make my story more interesting. Also I don't think that House would ever actually be doing charity work over seas, but it's Fan Fiction, and in my mind House is a better person than he was in the show, so... Last if y'all want me to do another chapter about Cameron and House's relationship, please let me know. Actually I might do that even if no one wants it, because this story was kinda fun to write. Thank you all for reading, I hope you all have a wonderful weekend, and if you're a father out there reading FF, have a great Father's Day!
